The people working were fabulous. Very nice and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Fresh eggs. Easy to walk everywhere. Rooms were nice and clean. Warm shower. Plenty of room. Quiet area. Would definitely stay again!!
I liked the small refrigerator in room and everything nice and clean and a very good breakfsst
Quirky hotel in good central location
A quirky property in a good central location but away from the busy streets of the town. Spacious room and good breakfast. Parking available.
Great property that had an easy check in service with easy parking and walking to nearby sites. We loved our rooms and service and friendly front desk staff. Great breakfast included in the morning. Would recommend!
The room was large and comfortable, but quite dated. Comfortable beds. The WIFI was very poor. Breakfast was excellent, however. The reception is not staffed in the late afternoon/evening.
Could be better
The hotel staff were nice and friendly, breakfast was normal continental buffet and fine. However, the room was compact, the bed a small double pushed against the wall. As previous guests had mentioned the shower screen broken and stained as were the tiles and shower head. I don't know about other rooms only number 19.
Easy walking distance to the Old Town
Little But Mighty
Great, amazingly great staff. Very kind and accommodating. They all spoke English quite well. Breakfast was all I could ask for... and more. Small boutique hotel (only 14 rooms) where all the staff knew my name and treated me like family. And the three best things about the hotel: LOCATION - LOCATION - LOCATION! Hotel Montpi is in the heart of the Altstadt Steps away from public transportation and just a couple blocks to University Square in the heart of the Old Town, this hotel is perfect for exploring the beautiful city of Heidelberg! I went to visit the Christmas Markets and found I could not have chosen a better hotel for this purpose.
This hotel was in a great location, convenient to everything you want to see in Heidelberg. The staff was really friendly and helpful.
Very nice breakfast.
The hotel photographs are not the best representation of the current building, it is showing it’s age. The staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is located in the old town and everything is walkable from there. We had room 11 facing the front of the hotel, earplugs were left on the bed… the roadway is noisy with several police or ambulance sirens during the night.
Loved it
Great stay. Just wish they had a room for 3 easier.
Nice place to stay
This hotel is situated a little way from Heidelberg centre (about 15 minutes walk to the Square where the Town Hall is, or to the Alte Brücke). It is a nice building, and the breakfast (served downstairs in the cellars) is excellent. There is private outside parking directly in front of the hotel (restricted number of spaces). My room was quirky - rather small and with bed on a raised platform - the bathroom was great with first-class shower. Everything, in this Covid age, was spotlessly clean and hand disinfectant is provided. WiFi was not stable enough for a vid call with my family. Dog-friendly - my dog was made very welcome 😀.
Convenient and Comfortable
The breakfast was very good with many different types of selections. The water pressure and warmth were above average. The location is close to many of the popular sites in Heidelberg.
We selected this hotel based on proximity to the old town, combined with a good price in comparison to other properties. The hotel staff were all extremely friendly and outgoing ... almost everyone had a sufficient grasp of English to help overcome our limited German. We were in a ground floor room (11) that had plenty of space and an adequately-sized bathroom with shower. Only challenge was temperature, since both days of our stay it was sunny with temps of around 28-29C (82-84F). The hotel had a fan in our room which was a Godsend, since our room faced the street ... we kept the windows open as much as possible, but the road noise at night woke us up the first night. That problem was solved with ear plugs we'd saved from the flight over. We had breakfast included in our rate, and the meal was very German, very fresh and very filling. The staff also offered to cook us scrambled eggs each morning, since we're not fans of the hard-boiled variety. Though I had brought an electrical converter and multiple European to US adapter plugs, I forget my European adapter. My wife needed to curl her hair and we couldn't plug the converter in, but as soon as we asked at the front desk they were happy to let us borrow one of theirs. Overall we liked the property and loved the people. The road noise was a challenge (but easy to overcome), and between the open windows and fan we were able to deal with the heat. And the location is a definite plus if you want quick access to the alt stadt ...
Very friendly service and an incredible breakfast. Right by the Castle just 15 min walk. Excellent.
Amazing stay!
Amazing stay! I had a great view from my room, clean room, good breakfast, central location, helpful staff. The hotel doesn't have an elevator, so be prepared if you have big luggage!
Close to Everything
Small accommodations and had to carry luggage up two floors which is common in much of Europe, but clean room, and the surroundings cannot be beat. Easy walking distance to the castle, old town and the famous bridge. Wi-fi could be a bit better.
The staff were super friendly. The location was perfectly situated.
Uncomfortable bed.
Hotel in very good location. Our only disappointment was bed was uncomfortable
Great old town hotel.
If you want to stay in the old town with walking distance to everything, and parking at a reasonable price, this place is ideal. We were 5 mins from the old square. 12 euros to park for 24 hrs is very reasonable. Brekkie was good and a good choice. WiFi weak . Room was a good size but just be warned, if stairs are a problem for you, there’s no lift. So book a ground floor room. For the price, it was excellent
Heidelberg cisit
Fantastic location.
Old towels, furnichure could be better, bad TV
Worst hotel ever
This must be the worst hotel we have ever stayed in, thankfully it was only one night. They were insistent that we pay on arrival as she would "too busy with breakfast in the morning to bother with payments". Our room was up two flights of stairs (no lift) and I use a stick. There appeared to be rooms on the ground floor but we were not offered one of these, she just looked at my stick and shrugged. The room itself was very basic and in what appeared to be an attic with the window above head height which made it impossible to open the curtain. The beds were hard. There were two bottles of water in the room but they had charges on them. If you wanted to watch TV we had to sit on the side of the bed or get a "stiff neck" for sitting on and angle. When we had a shower in the morning there was some sort of large insect on the shower head (not sure what it was but it was big). It faced onto a busy main road and was therefore very noisy all night. There was no bar but you could buy a bottle of beer from reception and drink it there. Breakfast was in the basement (another flight of stairs adding to the two flights up to the room). The rolls must be the smallest we have ever seen. We could not get out of there quick enough.
Clean safe hotel. Walkable to all attractions. Convenient parking on lot and around the corner. Great stafff best hotel room we had on our trip. Wonderful breakfast too!
Gorgeous hotel, great location
Everything in the old town was walking distance away. The hotel was gorgeous & l felt like l experienced how people live here. It had a lot of character. I would recommend a stay here.
Location
Hotel was ecclectic. Loved the uniqueness of my room. Breakfasts were very good. Prepared eggs according to request. Location was excellent to old town and universities. Only con was inability to make or get something to drink. No coffee pots in room or central location. Receptionist made a cup for me but charged two Europe's for a half cup.
Perfect hotel in old town Heidelberg
Great room, in true European style. Breakfast was awesome! Hotel staff were all really nice and helpful. Great location convenient to walk to old town and pedestrian road through Heidelberg. Also next to bus stops and short walk to castle.
Ponto positivo é aquecedor no quarto e no banheiro.
Freundlichkeit und service
Bon adresse
Far from the station.
Très bonne prestation. Sehr gute Leistung !
Le séjour s'est très bien passé à tous niveau : très bon accueil, bon rapport qualité / prix, propreté, etc...
Gute Lage, Innenstadt fußläufig. Superfreundliches Personal, für uns eine absolut ideale Unterkunft.
Locatie was prima. Centrum op loopafstand. Kamers waren niet modern maar voor 1 nacht oke. Ontbijt was prima verzorgd.

The room does not feel clean, not the best I have seen.
