Absolutely lovely
Very easy check in, very friendly concierge, with wonderful English. The room was very clean and well laid out, if a little too warm. The breakfast options could be slightly more continental, the prices were very good. The hotel even had an on site spa.
Amazing stay!
An amazing stay, friendly and helpful staff!
Great stay and hosts were amazing. Very helpful and very friendly. Great location but in a quiet area away from the bustle. Many thanks
Overall the place is good to stay. Nice and quiet. Staff are courteous and kind.
Everything was excelent. We will stay here every time we visit Bucharest
We stayed 4 nights. Nice staff. clean room. Bit away from the attractions.
My room was in excellent condition. Hotel clean and located in one of the best areas in Bucharest. Very helpful staff.
The elevator was not working
Extremely clean and quiet. Great service!!!!
No do not disturb sign options
A nice surprise. Staff is well trained, property was quiet with an air of serenity, and my room was calm & cool during the heat wave. The window, overlooking a leafy backyard, did not really lock in any position (Room 201) but there was no incident and morning coffee from the bar was lovely. Great value in a quiet, central spot.
Nice place nice staff
The staff were amazing, very helpful and friendly. The front desk always accommodated me. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Great staff that looked after my every need immediately. This is a wonderful place that is situated perfectly in the heart of Bucharest. A mist stay at a boutique hotel with a personal touch! My new favorite when i return.
Great friendly and helpful staff Nice bar area
Staff attending reception desk are the best hotel staff I have ever encountered in all my travels…bravo !
Great stay

Nice property with good location. But no fresh towels daily.
Very friendly and kind staff. Good service . Room decor a little dated however beds very comfortable and clean . Would stay here again happily
friendly service, calm and relaxing atmosphere, good practical setups ll in goo working order
Disappointing service, but clean and well locate
This was my second stay at this hotel, after spending 2 nights there in Dec 2023. Having had a positive experience, I returned to this small but very well located place. Unfortunately, this time I was given a ground floor room, close to the main door, so there was some noise coming from the door being slammed late during the night. Although the room was spacious and had a double bed, there were no bedside lamps or plugs next to the bed for charging my phone. The room was furnished with massive old furniture. The lining and bed sheets were in decent condition and clean and the bathroom was also clean. On my arrival after 17:30 the room was not ready and it took another 10 minutes to be prepared. When I asked the guy in reception about the check out time, I was told this was 12:30 the following day, despite the booking confirmation from Hotels.com stating 13:30.
Amazing little hotel in a quiet, safe area close to transport but also walkable to main tourist areas. 'Mr' David ( as we called him) and his team, including several cats, run a friendly and nicely decorated hotel. The rooms were large and spotless, the patio was lovely to sit out on and the breakfast was selected from a menu. There was always food available to order, a bar open and syaff were always ready to help with any questiond or just to have a chat. Went with my 9 yr old and she loved the place especially the cats!
Great Location and Helpful Staff
The hotel was near Romano Square on a quiet street with a few restaurants and private property. Daniel at the desk was extremely helpful and friendly as were all staff members. The bathroom was quite large and very modern. I would recommend staying at Hotel Michelangelo!
Spent a week here, great location, very friendly and helpful staff! Rooms were clean. Cute outdoor sitting area as you walk to reception. Very close to bus and train lines. Plenty of great restaurants and cafes within a 15 min walk. I was able to walk to the National Art museum in about 20 min. Would definitely stay here again
The staff was amazing! Friendly and helpful!!
Needs cleanliness policy improvement
Hotel Michelangelo is also referred to as Balineze Spa & Detox. Location is great, in a charming, quiet and safe neighborhood, within walking distance to Calea Victoriei, Cismigiu Park and downtown. There is no coffee machine in the room - you have to walk up to the front desk and ask the person on duty to make you coffee (expresso is the standard - no drip coffee). The coffee is quite good. Room pictures on Hotels.com show that bedrooms havev a night stand on each side of the bed. Ours didn't- the bed was pushed against the wall, which made it incovenient for one person to get out of the bed. Room is more like an apartment with a livingroom area, bedroom and bath. Lots of space. Cleanliness was an issue-the 3rd night the used towels we left on the floor in the morning ended up back on the towel rack - they weren't changed and neither the towel in front of the shower. We brought up the issue to the front desk and the person on duty told us the hotel policy is to change towels every 3 days and that cleaning staff made a mistake changing them daily up to then. After giving us a homily about it and strenching out he will be in trouble for it, he gave us a pair of fresh towels but warned us they will not be changed for the next 2 days. Same for the towel in front of the shower which was layed out wet in front of the shower. This "policy" is unheard of and unhealthy. Except for the towel incident, staff was generally nice and courteous.
Good place
Lovely old building maintained very well. Great attention to customer service. Quiet area but nicely near Calei Victorei
Fantastic rustic hotel set in a quiet area. Very welcoming and professional staff. The room was decent size and fabulous shower. Breakfast is simple but enough to set you up for the day. Airport bus stops very close by. And metro is 10 min walk. If you walk into old town you will pass many historical buildings and take around 30 minutes. I would recommend this hotel for anyone
The staff is the best asset of this property. They would go above and beyond to help you and make sure you enjoy your stay, from ordering food for you using the their phones because you don’t have the local app to order food, to allowing late check out after I got my metro lines confused and didn’t make it back to the hotel on time. The facilities are modest, no frills but you’ll have a clean room, with a working A/C and a comfy bed. If anything, I’d only say I’d like thinner pillow’s but that’s just my preference and in Romania in general, they seem to go for thick pillows. Thanks to all the staff members that helped me during my stay!
The staff of hotel Michelangelo is extremely accommodating and nice. Daniel, David and Kumar were always very professional and eager to serve. Breakfast was always tasty and freshly made. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is ready for a low key, yet refreshing experience.
Good
Excellent experience
that was an amazing experience for me to spent a night in this hotel. the room was so clean and comfortable. also it was included with the air conditioner which it is very necessary in the summer times in bucharest. on the otherside staff and reception was kind and polite.
A nice, quirky hotel. It's got an unusual layout, an old building converted to a hotel, and I found out when I got there that there's on site massage therapy available in the lower floor! The staff were very nice. It's easy to walk down to the main centre and old town areas, or the metro and bus are easily accessible from this location. It's located on a quiet side street which doesn't look spectacular but is quiet and no problems were encountered at all
Great staff!…
Nice and helpful people. Clean place to stay
The staff was impeccable, and we appreciated the companionship of the hotel cats.
The hotel staff was excellent. Very accommodating. The reception cats were the best part.
Front desk was staffed 24 hours by very professional and courteous staff. They were just great and friendly. Very courteous and professional. They helped me with directions and even went above and beyond to help me rebook my flight home due to the recent strike in Germany. One of the best hotel stats I’ve had. The hotel is also very well located to public transportation which is the best way to see Bucharest.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice room, good location.
Comfortable, safe, friendly, convenient, clean
Conveniently located near many attractions including neighborhood restaurants and coffee shops, Hotel Michelangelo is a charming hotel in what seems like an old mansion on a quiet side street. My room was comfortable and clean. The neighborhood felt safe. Breakfast is basic and made-to-order- quick and reasonably priced if you order from the menu. Nice small outdoor seating area. Helpful staff responded quickly to resolve some minor issues with the room
Avoid At All Costs
Place is a nightmare, dirty walls, stains and blood on bedding, walls are also so thin so don't believe the sound proof statements as you can hear everything. Romanian staff miserable and ignorant, Sri Lanka staff happy, helpful and informative. However my biggest grumble would be the caretaker and cleaner having a relationship in full view of the residents which is very unprofessional but what makes it worse is them using rooms for inappropriate meetups at night pretending to clean them and well you can imagine. Made my skin crawl especially when a new resident ended up in the room they had just used. I can't believe the fall from grace that has happened to this hotel as previously it was perfect. As for the so called spa, it consists of a massage. Which is connected to the hostel so remember this when booking a room as rooms are not always in hotel section which is not clearly explained and hostel conditions are like something from a horror movie. So many cleaner, friendlier and professional places at lower prices. Plus using rooms for fornicating in before guest arrivals is just so wrong.
I like the positioning of the location, the interior design and the quietness.
great hotel and staff
Good service and staffs are friendly
Friendly welcoming staff .Nice, comfy room
Very good location, central and close to everything. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Very quiet location, and close to down town. Very good value gor the price paid. Thank you David and Daniel!
This place was good
staffs are very nice.
The place needs a major update.
Good value for price. Very friendly and helpful employees. Great place to stay for a quick trip.
Small hotel very conveniently located. Walking distance to lots of eateries.
Michelangelo is a cosy hotel in a very pretty neighborhood, within walking distance of the city center and old town, also close to parks and recreation areas. I liked very much that the place is quiet and comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. Thank you David and Daniel!
Excellent service from the staff
The staff extremely friendly!, very good location and amazing value for your money
Great location, near everything but nice and quiet!
Great stay. Very clean, friendly staff, just a great experience. I would stay here again.
Stuff is very professional and accommodating. Location is excellent.
Fantastic room for the price and the hotel staff were brilliant
Below satisfactory
This is a simple, clean, friendly hotel. Breakfast was really good. The staff are very nice, and they make sure you are looked after.
Couldn’t be happier with my stay at Michelangelo. It’s an older building but the rooms have been updated and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean as well and the bed very comfortable. It’s location is in an area that has a lot of embassies so it’s a pretty safe area. There are a few restaurants nearby but for nightlife you’ll likely go 1/2 mile to 1 mile away (Old Town). For the price you can’t beat it!
The room was rather small and overheated. I had no control of the temperature. The hotel itself is convenient and in a nice location. The staff were more than helpful.
No connection between the advertising (the pictures) and reality. I reserved a dabble room and I got one room
Nice and clean, then very close to famous place of Bucharest
Room wasn’t clean had dead bugs splattered across the wall. The bathroom kept flooding every time we used the shower.
Any thing you need, this hotel has it.
Very kind hosts and great breakfast! anyone who wants a relaxing stay in Bucharest i recommend this hotel!
The best thing about the hotel was the Staff.Without exception they were extremely friendly, helpful, and could not do enough for you.. The hotel is centrally situated but in a quiet street. The room and en-suite were very clean and comfortable.
Don't trust the pictures! My room, while very affordable, was so small I could barely move. The single bed was against a wall and bed clothes were minimal. Cushions had stains on them, lamps had no shades, only naked bulbs. The bathroom was so small that it was impossible to stand directly in front of the sink. Sitting on the toilet felt like an exercise in origami. The TV was no bigger than a tea tray and the remote control was encrusted with I don't know what. The decor was brown and mustard directly from the 1970's. Staff are pleasant and accommodating but the property lets them down. Breakfast is awful though I enjoyed the coffee. Overall, spend €20 or €30 more and you'll find a much nicer experience.
Every single employee was friendly above and beyond. Great mattress And location and breakfast Loved it
Friendly, helpful staff, tidy room, shower could do with a good clean, black mould in corners. Apart from that very happy would visit again.
Staff was nice . David was sketchy on pricing things
Hotel staff, David, was very helpful and friendly. It is located a block off a busy boulevard but you do not hear any traffic noise. It is a short walk to the pickup location for most tours.
Good location close to the centre, helpful staff, very clean room.
Excellent location, beautifully upgraded property, very friendly staff. Highly recommended!
I really like this place. Quiet, well located, good breakfast buffet. The reception desk staff were all really good, but I must especially compliment two of them. Daniel was very helpful to a handicapped guest who had very short arms and difficulty with his hands. He helped the guest get his breakfast with a kind and smiling attitude. He made me proud. Ahmed was very friendly in conversation without being overbearing in the evenings when I was reading in the bar. That kind of non-pushy friendliness is ideal for foreign guests. Everyone had decent English, which I appreciated since I speak no Romanian. The laundry service was timely. Any time I asked a question, the staff gave precise answers about time frames. That really makes a good impression. My questions about where to buy bottled water and vișinată were met with easy-to-follow directions. My experience has one quirk, a kind of delayed response in the room technology. I hit the "on" button on the TV remote, and it takes till a count of ten before the picture appears. I click the "on" button on the AC remote, and it takes till a count of seven before it starts. I click the "powerful" button to increase the cooling factor, and it takes till a count of 30 before the air really begins to flow. It took me a while to figure it out. At first I thought that things simply weren't working. They all *do* work. They just have a delay. And I was grateful for AC that actually worked decently. I'm from Arizona:
Excellent!
Wonderful hotel with great staff.
Close to bus and train station. Clean, great staff, and nice breakfast.
good location easy to find on bus line to airoport
Nice area handy for metro bus to airport staff very friendly and helpful
Cordial staff and relatively convenient location. Quiet and many neighborhood venues.
Quiet location, air conditioning, pleasant staff. Very nice hotel in Bucharest.
It is closed to center of the city ,shopping, restaurants, good position, I really like it.
The property was unique with quite old architecture which I liked. It was located well with just a short walk to restaurants and activities. The room was on the small side but quite adequate. The staff were super and spoke English well.
Excellent breakfast. Central location, close to everything. Minibar in the hotel lounge.
Very nice and polite staff, clean, closed to city centre
Small, beautiful, very clean, very well maintained, very nice and hosting stuff. For 7 l you get a very nice and fulfilling breakfast. Located few minutes walk between Piatsa Romana And piatsa victoria
Excellent service from the Michelangelo team
Another excellent stay at the Michelangelo. A friendly, convenient, and quiet hotel
The staff was amazing and someone was always available, 24/7. And not just with a call and a wait, there was always someone at the front desk for anything we needed no matter how big or small. They were awesome!
Good location. However, the room was not like in the pictures from your website. Much, much smaller and kind of poor furniture.
Excellent service, good location, bed was bit old.
Breakfast is very poor and delayed. They not change the towels daily only every 4 days. The rooms are very narrow and they do not supply a jug to heat water to prepare coffee.
This was a hidden gem, although nothing fancy, the staff were excellent and the location to transportation was great. I enjoyed my time here and would recommend it to others. Thanks for a great stay in Romania.

I will not recommend the hotel to friends and when we asked for a shower to take a shower, the receptionist did not want to bring us and said we would wait for morning and bring us.
Room was super clean. Bathroom facilities brand new. Staff super friendly and helpful. A little distance from Old Bucharest but my husband and I prefer that. Short walk to metro, shopping, National Art Museum, restaurants. Only negative is no hot pot for tea or coffee in room. Had to go to 24 hour bar to get coffee.
Quiet room but near to town centre. Friendly owner and happy to provide good service.
Very friendly staff and accommodating Location is centrally located
De ent midrange hotel
This is a decent midrange hotel. Single rooms like the one I stayed in are in a separate wing and fairly basic, but fine. Double rooms are nicer and this is reflected in the price. My shower was awkward to get in and out of. The wifi is good and breakfast is plentiful without reaching any great heights. Bianca at reception is very helpful and obliging. I would choose to stay there again.
