The location was fantastic close to all the main attractions!
Great few days before the start of our tour.
Great location and friendly service. Breakfast was wonderful, there were hot options as well as meats and cheeses as a usual Italian breakfast is. The street can be a bit noisy, but you are a couple blocks from the Trevi fountain and people out all hours. It didn’t keep us awake. Great restaurants close by. I’d recommend to friends.
Great staff and location
Very good
Lovely hotel for the price. Breakfasts were better than expected!
The staff was very helpful. They set up private car rides from the port to the hotel, and from the hotel to the airport very, very early in the am. They even packed us breakfasts to go. The only complaint was that we could smell cigarette smoke in our room the second night.. Thinking from the vents in another room. First night was great.
Room was very small, floor was not clean and staff was always around 8 in the morning talking too loud next to our door rooms
Terrible costumer service
Hey everyone, I want to start off by saying that I don’t normally or better said never give bad reviews. I am just beyond disbelief the treatment and hospitality my family and I received on this trip to Rome Italy. Costumer service was terrible even before our stay/arrival but I had hope the reviews on yelp wouldn’t be true. I was wrong. We were greeted by an older male black hair and glasses he was quick to be upset about having 3 reservations. See I had seen a couple weeks before our trip the rule of having only 2 people in a superior room. At the time it was myself my mother and my 3 year old niece traveling I had called before hand mind you they were hard to get ahold of plus the language barrier. My sister in law decided to join our trip last minute which is when I called to upgrade our room. We couldn’t upgrade it was not something they did. They gave me an option to do superior room and one single bed room. Which I did. Boarding my flight that same day I saw there was a triple room available good for 3 people. I tried to call no answer. I arrived to the hotel and I let him know my situation on what happened he at this point told me I’d have to pay for all 3 rooms reservations because it was too later to cancel. I tried to explain I didn’t mind upgrading to the triple room they refused to let me upgrade after checking in and just consenting to taking the triple room on our way to dinner I’m asked that I cannot have 4 people in our triple room mind you my niece is 3.
Highly recommend this little gem. Conveniently located in the city center area.
Convenient locations Hotel room is small, but it’s clean and equipped Staff are friendly and helpful
Four nights trip
Excellent location, like it.
Hotel Memphis is ideally located and serves as a fantastic base for exploring the city center of Rome. The breakfast is extensive, especially when it comes to the Italian "dolci," and the service is personal and very friendly. The rooms are spacious, clean, and soundproof. You won't be bothered by outside noise, despite being in such a central location. Additionally, we were very pleased with the assistance from the reception staff. On the day of our departure, there was a public transport strike, and they went out of their way to help us secure one of the few available taxis, once again demonstrating their excellent hospitality. In short, a place to return to!
Mordern Mephis
This hotel was the best out of the 3 we stayed at. It was modern and clean. The only draw back was the cleaning crew were very loud during the early morning hours. And the bed we had was extremely hard which mad it hard to get a good nights rest.
Great location, friiendly staff
Small, basic well appointed, clean friendly Hotel. Excellent service from all the staff. Particularly friendly and efficient reception lady and also the lady at breakfast. I had a single room and it was good, to be honest small, but great.
Great location, safe and quiet
Centerally located
Great location, most staff were friendly and helpful, great breakfast. Only thing I didnt like was room had no window to open. Typical small Europe rooms but workable. Would stay again.
It’s a hidden hotel only 9 mins walk from Spanish steps and another 10 -12 mins walk up hill from the metro. Love the area because it was very convenient. Room was spacious for my friend and I. The staff was very nice and accommodating. 24 our front desk which was really nice. And two restaurants next door. Location is great and also affordable.
A good value and a great location. Some minor maintenance issues prevented from being a five-star
The hotel room was a closet and we could barely fit our suitcases in it. The location itself was close to a lot of landmarks, however my friend and I had to walk almost 20 min with our suitcases just to get to the place so it’s not super convenient. The breakfast was not the best and the hotel itself looked a bit run down and outdated. Luckily I was only there for two days so it was fine, but if you’re staying for more than that, then I would suggest going somewhere else.
Good
Really enjoyed my stay here.Loved the room and amenities. I had a single room and it was much bigger than I expected. Hotel is centrally located. A quick 5 minute walk to Trevi Fountain, and close to public transportation.
We had a wonderful stay in Hotel Memphis. Everything in the hotel was great. Our room was spacious and clean with a lovely terrace. The breakfast was tasety and as advertised. The reception and checkin went smoothly. The staff at the front desk, the kitchen and cleaning staff were all helpful and friendly. The location in central Rome was perfect.
Great hotel with a perfect location
Walkable to many historic sites. Loved the outdoor terrace.
The hotel was conveniently located close by restaurants, shopping and sightseeing spots. The staff were all very helpful. The breakfast was ample and the room was comfortable.
The location is great, good restaurants near, room very comfortable, clean and safe. Most of the staff was friendly.
Location fantastic, lovely clean small hotel with welcoming staff. Breakfast only - would be great if other meals offered other than that can’t fault it
Location, location, location! Walkable to all of the major sites! And the added benefits of 24 hour staffed reception desk, reliable elevator, light breakfast daily, and quite rooms. What more could a weary traveller want? I can't wait to go again!
Close to amenities
Be ready to hear your neighbors breath, paper thin walls, I had the “pleasure” of having a couple next to my room who loved to slam doors and be loud when talking. I went to the front desk to ask if there was anything to do because I woke several times due to noise. She told me basically it is what it is and that she can’t do nothing. Fun times. The place is very well located though.
Perfect location. Helpful staff.
Was very close to the most historic monuments , the from desk people was wonderful, everything was clean, nice costumer service.
The attention was very nice Al the staff nice people, the property was so clean, everything was walkable and convenient.
great hotel great location
room was very clean and so was bathroom Domestic staff were extremely helpful and very willing Kettle get tripping electric after first day and i asked for another kettle to be told i could hav one.. waited a day to be then told there wasnt one.. i was also told an electrician would be there next day but no avail... some staff seemed really hesitant to provide me with hot water for drinks ... night reception Kristina was lovely
Connecting rooms nice. Breakfast good. Nice area close enough to fountain
Situated off the main streets, with good local restaurant an caffes. Only downside was the internet access was terrible everywhere except the reception area where it was good.
We stayed here for 3 nights. Above all we picked the hotel for its location and it didn’t disappoint. The hotel is small but had everything we needed. We had a double and a twin, both were plenty big enough with what you expect these days, tv, usb charging points, good Wi-Fi, tea/coffee, mini bar with soft drinks as well as toiletries in the bathroom. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The view wasn’t spectacular but I wasn’t there to look out the bedroom window. Breakfast was continental style and very nice. There are many shops, cafes and restaurants close by. There are also bus stops aplenty and an underground station with a 2/3 minute walk although most of the main attractions are within comfortable walking distance but you do need the underground for the Vatican. Should we return to Rome it’s likely we’ll stay here again.
Great value, great stay overall
One of the biggest rooms we stayed in in Italy. Great value for the price. Air conditioning worked well. Bathroom was a little out dated, but clean. Staff was friendly. The concierge was nice, but I wouldn’t say any of them went above and beyond to offer restaurant advice.
Wonderful location, hotel was clean, staff were great. Would definitely stay again.
To start with the people in the reception area are very helpful, hotel is nice located in a very hot area close to everything, u walk 3-4 minutes to the Trevi Fontana. The room is a bit small but honestly very clean, we had a small balcony Wichita made it spacious when we open it, bathroom is good in size and they change all toiletries daily and the of course all towels, room was being cleaned perfectly daily! The breakfast wasn’t wow, we had breakfast once in the hotel then we used to eat outside for better varieties. I would definitely repeat the experience to stay at this hotel for a second visit.
The prosperity was in a great location, could walk to many restarants and to local sites, Spanish steps and.the fountain. Room was small but only needed to sleep.
They Treat You Like Family
Christina is the main reason that we stayed there this trip. I travel almost every week and stay in great hotels. The way that Christina made us feel at home last time is the reason we came back here. we stayed at the Intercontinental Paris which is a 5 Star and she was better by herself than the entire staff combined at the IC Paris. She even found me a hot shave and laundry facility and worked harder than other highly rated concierges. The hotel is not a 5 star but it is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful and in a fantastic location for Rome. I will stay here again!!
Rooms are small but updated design, clean, comfortable, & quiet. The hotel is located down an alley like street so depends which side of building your room is on for outside noise level. There is a restaurant on the street on the front side of the hotel. Breakfasts had great selections. Very convenient location to many historic locations & restaurants.
The room was clean but quite small, taking into account that we were in the room for sleep and shower only, it was fine. The location is great, near Trevi fountain and close to the Metro station
Awesome stay! Christina was so nice and helpful
Great location, friendly helpful staff. Highly recommend.
Nice Hotel
The staff was great. We had no air conditioning they offered to change rooms. We had to leave before breakfast so they made up snack bags for us.
Everything is walkng distance from the Hotel. Trevi Fountain, Via del Corso, Coleseum, Piazza España, The Pantheon.
Avoid the single room
Single room was absolutely horrible, it was smaller than a college dorm room. Other than the location to popular areas, this room was not worth the spend. Bed was uncomfortable. Staff was nice but not helpful in trying to change my room once I saw it. Spend the extra dollars for a better room at a different hotel
Clean, safe and comfortable rooms. The service is awesome and super helpful. Location can’t be beat.
The staff at Hotel Memphis is top notch!! Efficient, kind, and helpful. I felt very welcomed there.
Location Location Location
The room was kept and cleaned every day. The cleaning ladies were so good. How do I know . I went to sleep with my glasses on . My glasses fell off my face and hit the floor while I was sleep. I woke up in the AM but forgot that I had gone to sleep with my glasses on . Left the room for the day. When I came back to the hotel , my glasses that was under the bed was place on one of the night stands in the room. So the cleaning ladies also cleaned up under the beds. FRESH towels each day. Great hotel , great location to the historical center. You can walk every where. Great breakfast. Front Desk workers very helpful and knowledgeable of the area and how to get places.
The Staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to check-in early and they even gave us free breakfast at check-in.
The hotel staff is great! The hotel location is perfect to visit Rome. My only complaint is the bed, way too hard.
family birthday
amazing location excelent hotel for cleanleness helpfullness
Great Rome stay
Great location for shopping and easy to get to transport when it was needed. Easy walking distance to Trevor Fountain and the Spanish Steps.
This was my third stay at this hotel. It has been beautifully renovated, melding the old with modern conveniences. The location is excellent for walking to sites or using local transportation. The staff is very helpful. This time, the room was hotter than i prefer, but there is something magical about opening the layers of large windows and shutters, letting in the fresh air along with the night sounds of a city, laughter and voices in different languages
Convenient location near Trevi fountain, comfortable stay. Nice breakfast each morning to fill you up before sight seeing. Friendly staff. Somewhat expensive laundry service, but beautifully done and packaged. We really needed some clean clothes at that point in our trip with all the rain. Affordable rates in the off season (November) when we stayed, but a high city tax in Rome.
Excellent small modern hotel. Literally across the street from the Trevi Fountain. The staff was very helpful with directions or getting me a taxi. Restaurant next door was delicious, I ate there 3 times. I would definitely stay here again.
Room is a little small. Not a 4 start hotel. At most 3 stars. Worse than most of the holiday in express in the US
Great stay
Great place to stay central to Spanish steps n Trevi Fountain
Location great and breakfast buffet. Quiet and clean.
Great location , friendly people , good breakfast
The standard of cleanliness was lacking - lots of dust in the wardrobes and drawers which had to be cleaned before we could use them. In one of our rooms the hairdryer burned out on the first day and despite telling the hotel they didn't get around to fixing it.
Very clean and comfortable. Quiet location close to all the sites. The room was very small. Easy walking and clise to restaurants
Location is excellent for walking to all the sights. Don't be fooled by the street the hotel is on the area is safe and so close to great restaurants
Outdated. The shower room definitely needs renovating. The shower leaked, wires hanging from the wall and the toilet constantly ran. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything late at night when you are trying to sleep.
Great location, 24 hour service desk, friendly staff who were knowledgeable, clean and modern, air conditioned and fair breakfast. Break didn’t start until 7.00am could have been slightly earlier.
Internet failed to work the whole time. Received a single bed when booking was confirmed as a double. Room is ridiculously small. False advertisement at its finest, to be reconciled with a 'sorry'
Great location. Within Walking distance to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and Pantheon. Room has great bedding and it was good but small for three beds.
I am super picky and this hotel was great. There were extra pillows in the room, extra soap and shampoo, and even a little basket of fruit in our room. They had complimentary water in the lobby and snacks at night. The breakfast was simple but good. I love how they always made an effort to do more than was expected!
Good location, clean rooms, decent breakfast, helpful staff.
What a great location! It’s within walking distance of the Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps. It’s between two metro stops and a main bus route. Both the metro and bus routes take you to the Vatican or the colosseum in about 30-40 min! Lots of food and gelato near by. The hotel met all of our needs. Comfortable beds, air conditioning, elevator, breakfast included. The room was very clean. The front desk staff were helpful and always said hello! We didn’t need any extra assistance from them other than check in and check out, everything was smooth. The breakfast buffet was typical of Italy, but nonetheless very tasty ! I’d stay here again and I would recommend my friends and family to stay.
Close to Trevi but in an alley a bit dirty and with trash.
Great location, good breakfast, comfortable beds. Room was quite small, difficult to walk around the bed to get to the balcony.
The location was favorable. Staff was helpful and friendly. Snacks and juices in the lobby were a nice touch. Clean.
Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Clean. Great location.
It’s location the pleasant helpful staff, would recommend this hotel for anyone in this price range excellent value
Best location
Tiziana managed the booking so well. Hotel is located in a prime area walking distance to most attractions however 20 min walk from Metro.
The location of the hotel was exactly where we wanted to be, close to the shopping and restaurants. The hotel was old and needed to be refurbished. The bathroom sink was broken and the shower door did not prevent the water from getting on the floor of the bathroom. Also, no venting for the steam. As a tourist and the first time being to Rome, Italy, I would have expected the front desk staff to be more forthcoming with information, giving us suggestions on good restaurants and area of interest that we must visit...
Average hotel
Location is far to walk to major attractions & central railway WiFi does not work in room even my own data due to its location Air con was set to extremely low by hotel almost has no flow coming out Service was good
Room was clean but extremely small. No daylight in the room.
The place was nice. The beds were a bit uncomfortable though. My bed was a queen but they just put two twins together.
Loved the location, staff & room! Centrally to everything, access to transportation! Definitely recommend this Hotel!
Staff .very friendly and helpful. . I could walk everywhere it was very central
Close to everthing, location good.clean quiet . Very comfortable firm bed . Employee's were friendly and helpful. Good restaurants on either side of the hotel
Great, beautiful and service-oriented hotel.
Service was excellent!! Our very early tour at the Vatican didn’t allow time for the free breakfast so the front desk packed to-go bags for us. Location was really great. Only negative feedback was a very difficult shower to maneuver with a very short glass wall and weird tub that allowed water to drain EVERYWHERE!!
The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was good as well.
Every thing was great, friendly, good breakfast, great location, clean and tidy room. Only disappointment had to pay cash on checkout and should have been advised this is on checkin that there was no credit card facilities!
Staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was clean, recently refurbished. Bathroom good size. Bed was a little on the harder side but still comfortable. Good location close enough to everything but far enough away from the crowds.
The hotel room was comfortable and the breakfast provided was very good. The hotel is well-located, however, the Italian government has shut down 3 stops in a row near the hotel, right smack dab in the middle of Rome, due to “escalator issues”. That’s socialism baby. This is obviously out of the control of the hotel, so I did not factor into the rating, but travelers keep in mind. Overall I enjoyed my stay and will recommend to anyone traveling to Rome!
Very central for sightseeing, quite, complementary beverages all day long, helpful staff,,,, disappointed with the firmness of bed waking up aching ,the room was modern with USB ports and well decorated
Dirty/dusty room, old bathroom, unfriendly staff and OK breakfast. Good location...
Noisy - as they were refurbishing some rooms There was just a shower. No bath. Breakfast was limited in choices
Very nice hotel
Very nice hotel, in the great location. Very well designed room. Breakfast included in the rate.
Best restaurant next door, great location! We enjoyed the breakfast immensely and the maids were outstanding!
Location!!!! The best part of hotel, everything in walking distance. Cleanliness, everyday housekeeping Beds and mattresses not comfortable

Nice but way to small.
Location was perfect!! But the bathroom shower and bedroom turned out to be extremely small. I couldn’t turn in the shower without thinking I might elbow the door.
