Very clean and renovated place run by a nice family, in a quiet street with walking access to most of the sights around the town. Rooms are spacious. Main door is locked for security. You can park your car in the street. I travelled with my family and everyone enjoyed the stay. I will definitely recommend the place to everyone.
We had an enjoyable stay at this charming hotel. The neighborhood was quiet and convenient. The hotel owner was very knowledgeable about history and enthusiastic in answering questions. Breakfasts were delicious and the room and public areas were spotlessly clean. Our thanks to the very kind Aishe for taking care of breakfasts and the room.
Wonderful place The staff was very helpful especially Bugra. He provided me an excellent tour of the city and was very knowledgeable
Our family had a nice stay at this hotel
We were received very well by the owner of the property and the room was excellent. However, the location of the hotel means that parking is precarious, at your own risk. The hotel is in the middle of the old city of Selcuk and the roads are very narrow. It was winter so do not know the situation during peak season. As far as winter, I believe that it was practical to stay there. However, price was steep, compared to the other 5 star hotels I stayed in for the same price. Again, you are paying to be at walking distance from city center and St. John Basilica. You decide if it is worth the extra cash.
Delightful small quaint accommodation with a very fun host. Excellent location and great breakfast. Loved their cat.
Lovely
Very nice stay..very accommodating..very informative..Charming..would stay again
Great property, centrally located and close (within walking distance) to major Ephesus sights. The room we got was big and clean and the breakfast served in the morning was delicious! The receptionist and rest of staff were extremely courteous and helped us carry our bags up (only 1.5 flights up but no elevator). Would definitely stay again!
excellent hotel and service. family run and very friendly. great breakfasts too
A fantastic find. Seriously. Great location. Bugra (I’m sorry, my phone isn’t set to spell his name exactly right) and his staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and easy. We departed a bit early on both mornings and they got up early to make sure we had breakfast. Bugra obviously knows the area and history. I imagine he would be an excellent guide as well. You may think I’m being effusive, but we sincerely enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend.
Nice place
Amazing stay
Amazing stay! Charming, family run hotel. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, it truly felt like a second home. The hotel is beautiful and all of the amenities are very nice as well. I will definitely come back and stay again, thank you!
A nice hotel.
The place was very clean and wonderful. The actual hotel was very pretty added to the expirence. The location was very good, although ita kinda on a hill its very easy to get to. Its very close to all the sights you wanna see. Also the host was always there and ready to assit you in almost anyway in regards to your trip. I will definitely come back to this location if i were to come visit this area. One last thing their cat is cute as heck.
Probably the best overall hotel experience from over 20 years of traveling. Our host Bugra from Hotel Mary’s House is an exceptional example of Turkish hospitality. He is very knowledgeable in Turkish history and made us feel like we were part of his family during our stay. He also went very far out of his way to make sure we had a great stay, by showing us the town and helping to arrange transport to the airport. The room is comfortable, with tasteful Turkish designs integrated into it, and the homemade breakfast is very wholesome and delicious. The hotel has a very cozy, family vibe to it and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Selcuk because of Bugra and his family. We certainly hope to be back again soon!
Wonderful
The hotel is lovely. The owner greeted us warmly, the room was comfortable and beautifully decorated, the breakfast was excellent.
Nice family-run hotel
The hotel is very cute and well-located by many historical sites in Selcuk. Very nice touches in the rooms like hand-painted sinks and ceiling inlays. The hotelier is also a guide, and we ended up hiring him for a half-day tour of Ephesus the next day. We would recommend staying here!
They put warmth and pride into their business, from the rooms to how you are treated. They knowledge of the area, care and helpfulness, leave you smiling. If you are coming to visit this area, I highly recommend you stay with them
Awesome place to stay
If you are staying in Selcuk for a visit to Ephesus and want a small hotel I can't imagine a better place to stay than here. Owners on site and always available to help out. Excellent breakfast.
Home away from home
Loved our stay! The family that runs the hotel is very friendly and made us feel right at home. Location is within walking distance to nearly every attraction in the area - about a 5 min drive to Ephesus. We will stay here again for our next Ephesus visit.
Lovely family-run hotel, with very clean and beautifully decorated rooms, charming patio where we were served a delicious breakfast and great atmosphere makes this hotel a true gem in the city. We received a great welcome from the owner Bugra who in perfect English told us a very interesting stories about the country, its history and daily life matters. As he is a professional guide it was inspiring two-hour talk we really enjoyed. We will definitely stay at this hotel again whenever we return to Efez, we really loved it.
This is a charming family owned hotel. It is obvious a lot of thought, planning and care has gone in to the decoration of each of the rooms, with exquisite craftsmanship being displayed. Our room was lovely-spacious, comfortable and quiet, as well as spotlessly clean. Bugra and his family went to great lengths to ensure we got the most out of our stay in Selcuk. Bugra is very knowledgeable about the local area and assisted in planning itinaries. If you required it he also offers a guiding service, but with absolutely to pressure to take that up. Breakfast was adequate. If we had the opportunity to visit Selcuk again we would happily return to stay at Hotel Mary’s House.
Perfect base to explore Epehesus
Perfect location for exploring Ephesus and other cultural sites in the area. A relatively new building - but in keeping with the rest of the old town, this small boutique hotel has everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. The owners are welcoming and attentive. Burgas is also a qualified guide and didn't a great tour for us, at short notice around the main Ephesus site. A real family friendly place, simple, but stylish and excellent value for money
Don't pass up Hotel Mary's!
I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mary's House. The premises are clean, the owner is super hospitable, the rooms are wonderfully tasteful, and the price is hard to beat.
The location was perfect, very atmospheric and easy to walk to the castle and St. John ruins. It is also close to the wonderful Lotus pottery garden where we saw (and purchased) the most amazing stoneware we saw during our 3 weeks of traveling around Turkey. The hotel has a lovely aesthetic and was a welcoming haven to return to after long days of touristing around. The owner was lovely to visit with and as a tour guide very knowledgeable about the area.
The staff was very friendly and willing to help in any way. The breakfast was excellent and unique with a nice touch of personal service.
Fabulous Comfortable 🏨
We loved our stay . Great welcoming hosts. Rooms large and well decorated and extremely comfortable. Excellent breakfast and so willing to help with anything needed.
It was a very lovely hotel and beautiful rooms. Better than expected.
It’s a lovely little boutique property with a convenient location. The room we got was beautiful, and very well kept. The owner, Bura, is most helpful and hospitable. He is always available and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. He is also a great tour guide and filled with stories of history that kept us engaged and interested.
Homey and full of charm
Stayed at Mary’s for 2 nights as a family of five. Quaint, family run and super homey.. the place was charming and brought alive by the owner who not only warmly welcomes you in but also personally takes great care and pride in making all arrangements, providing local tips and making the stay truly memorable. The rooms are beautifully decorated with authentic touches in design, and is a very comfortable stay. Breakfast is homemade and delicious. Location is great to local eateries and sights around Selçuk. Close to the bus station for a hop over to kasudasi too. Would easily recommend this place and quite highly at that. Unpretentious comfort and full value for money. The owner in fact personally also arranged our day tours and airport drop to Izmir. Five stars for care and comfort.
Great location. When we arrived seemed like they didn’t initially find our reservation but after a while things were arranged and were very nice. Good family room with two double beds- one was super hard and the other just right. Put the kids on the hard one. Near the mosque so was a little noisy but honestly we didn’t hear much after the first night call. Hosts were kind good info and interesting. Lent us his charger for our phones. Family run business. Rooms and bath were very clean have to see the beautiful painted sink bowls and Iznik wall tiles and artwork everywhere. - view of St. John from one corner and Mary’s house on hill from another in our bedroom. Close to town for walking and St. John’s basilica and castle and remnants of Artemis. Nice breakfast- went out of their way to make breakfast a little early for us as we were heading out on an early morning tour. We would definitely recommend- please come stay here.
Amazing stay
We stayed at Hotel Mary's House for two nights. It was an amazing stay. The room was very clean, and the host was very helpful. The breakfast was home made with fresh ingredients and the host gave us very good suggeation for site seeing and the local restaurants...would definitely recommend it!
Truly a beautiful boutique hotel. Warm and inviting, the courtyard is a relaxing place to unwind at the end of the day. Great location for exploring Ephuses, and the many other historical areas. Our host was most delightful and quite knowledgeable. The rooms are very clean, comfortable beds, and quite beautiful.
A lovely hotel. A modern build but in traditional style and nice Turkish touches. Very comfortable and extremely clean. The staff are friendly. Delicious Turkish breakfast. If you are arriving by public transport, I recommend you take a taxi as Google maps has not quite got the timings right for the journey and there are some steep streets to navigate. That said, the hotel is close to the centre and Selcuk is a nice town.
Very nice hotel. Attention to detail is given to the facilities and customer service. Staff is very friendly. I had an amazing experience here
Proprietor was very helpful and knowledgeable. Gave us excellent recommendations on food, sites, tours, and other destinations info. Had a warm and very friendly family atmosphere. Excellent breakfast with Turkish foods. Delicious! We definitely and unreservedly would recommend this homey hotel and would stay there again.
Excellent hotel. Rooms beautifully decorated
This hotel was wonderful. Bugan and Meriam are lovely attentive hosts. It's a very pretty hotel, lovely courtyard and the rooms are beautifully decorated. Lovely tiles and wooden ceiling decorations. Bugan also is a tour guide and he gave us a very good tour of Ephesus and Selcuk. We loved our stay here.
The hotel is a family ran business and you’ll experience genuine Turkish family hospitality. The owner/tourist guide Boura Can is a well versed tourist guide and took us to historical and beautiful places in Selçuk. He has has his own van which is new and comfortable. Boura and his family treated us like family and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The hotel is very clean and rooms are spacious and they serve very nice breakfast. This place is highly recommended as Boura also own his own sightseeing tours.
very good
all of condition is very good.
Highly recommend this hotel. very clean and cozy, beautiful place. Location is also great
Avaliação do Mary’s House Hotel.
Estadia maravilhosa. Fomos extremamente bem recebidos e acolhidos.
Lovely hotel and great hosts
We enjoyed our stay at Mary's House hotel, where we received a very friendly and warm welcome. Our hosts were very nice, available, helpful and made our trip in Ephesus a great trip.

We loved Mary's house and would stay here again for sure. Such a nice break here after a few days in busy Istanbul. Clean room with nice views, a quiet courtyard, great breakfast and walkable to nice restaurants and shops in town. We shared a room as a family of four and it was plenty big enough for us.
