If you're reading the recent reviews, you can see many people complaining of bed bugs. Don't take your chances. There is also a no refund policy (convenient) here, so they have no reason to address the issue. Staff does not reply to your concerns, and there is no reception on site to handle customer service issues if you do show up. Found another hotel and lost my money here. Awful experience, but good life lesson.
This is not a hotel
This “hotel” was awful. Do not stay here, it was uncomfortable, dirty and smelly.
Disgraceful hotel
This “hotel” was horrendous. Do not stay here, it was uncomfortable, dirty and smelly.
Basic, clean, and well located
This was a good place to stay for a couple of days. The room was clean and furnishings comfortable. I read a couple reviews that said it was a noisy place, but it was very quiet - there are no businesses in close proximity that are noisy (although plenty of restaurants are just a couple blocks away). Full kitchen is available for use. Would stay again.
This NOT a hotel -- it was a hostel with basically a private room. When we got there, there was no one for reception, EVER at any point. There was a sign saying to call or email of we needed anything. I immediately noticed some of towels were badly stained and we had less than ONE toliet paper roll for our stay. I emailed right way -- i -- i emailed twice and NO reply EVER. The room was VERY dusty and i had to wipe evething with a wet wipe. There was no cable ( if that matters to you). The internet speed was AWFUL and only worked SOME of the time. This should NOT be advertised as a hotel -- either hostel or air bnb
Close to cafes bars and restaurants. Upstairs room was quiet and private, but carpet needs to be repaired.
This place was so dirty. Bathroom smelled like raw sewage
It was a fine room in a relatively good location. The check in instructions were not sent on time, I had to inquire about them, and these were sent afterwards. The check out instructions were also unclear. I had an impression that there was just one and the same person dealing with both check in, cleaning, etc, probably with a lot of pressure on them to deal with it all. Communication was fine, but basic information should be sent by default. In terms of the room, the bed martress (from ikea) was unfortunately very uncomfortable, same as the pillows.
Very good location, convenient check in, nicely furnished. Shared kitchen very useful and well eqipped. But please change the carpet in the room, this looks bad and dirty.
No services at all. Rug was very old and dirty. Location is great. Price is good.
The good-Location is close to bus and metro stops and good for exploring Nørrebro. My room was spacious and clean, the radiator was responsive and shower was great. The bad- In four days I never found the kitchen. There is no kitchen. My room wasn't cleaned by anyone except me in four days. The tv didn't work. Management didn't respond to my'where's the kitchen?' email. The vending machine worked its own hours And the wifi was patchy/slow. I've stayed in way worse at this price range, and also stayed in a bit better.
Good stay, easy access
Comfortable and clean beds and bath. The carpet had some stains from painting, but otherwise was clean and satisfactory.
Deceiving and very disappointing
The only good thing about this "hotel" is its location. Easily accessible and close to the Norreport transit station. The bathroom was especially bad. Water was constantly running in the toilet, making a lot of noise. We had to buy earplugs in order to be able to sleep. In addition to that, the toilet was dirty. There were spider webs above the shower. A few hours after we arrived, there was a sewer smell coming from the bathroom. The room was very hot, there was no air conditioner. The carpet was stained and so were the chairs. I cannot believe this was listed as a 3 stars hotel, very deceiving. I do NOT RECOMMEND!
Recycling was not arenged
This was modern and clean place. We were on the second floor and it was difficult to drag the bags there
Location was great. Lijed searate sleeping loft. Was disappointed that kitchen stove top not operational and no tv.
Overnight stay
The tv could not be used. The text on it was in Russian. I did not bother to connect it to wifi. It was not easy to do.
Noisy late in the evening, noisy very early in the mornings. Walls paper thin. Amenities in room broken Construction work on going during stay Not a hotel
it was really good everything.
Place was pk-near to city and all. But was really loud-we had room next to the entrancedoor. In middle of night people came back and let the door close loud... if you don’t close by hands the door is loud... the room you can‘t make dark... We didn‘t sleep well.... also the child was getting up by the noisy people and the door. Sll rest was ok!
Excellent value in decent location
Booked a family room that had a great little mezzanine for the baby. Good, big bed, spacious room, only improvements would be fixing the creaking floorboards and the smelly drains in the bathroom (although I heard smelly drains is a Copenhagen problem generally)
I really liked this hotel. As people have said in the past, yes it is loud when people go in or out. And yes there is parties outside of the hotel in a neighboring apartment. It is annoying but I can't dock the hotel for it. What can they do? Just be aware it is a possibility. But it was by far our roomiest hotel in all of Europe. And it felt more like a small apartment. Very comfortable. I definitely recommend this hotel.
Small hostel in an excellent location in the heart of Norrebro. Good: price; location; reasonably spacious room. Bad: hostel extremely hot during our stay; couldn't leave windows open due to security risk; eggy smell from bathroom drain; one window lock loose, missing screw; room needed a second fan on lower floor to deal with heat
Review
Its is good ,clean , calm and location is very good in the center of the city but you must serve your self and the window of the rooms is directliy on the street so there is no much privacy.
There is not service at all, the area was not what I imagine, my room was number 4 and I didn’t know there were 2 numbers 4 so I was trying to open some else room and the lady was mad. The stairs are tiny so is very hard to carry bags. The blankets are made for smalls beds so it didn’t cover the whole bed. I didn’t like the place at all.
The location was excellent and the ability to access a shared living and kitchen area made it a very comfortable place to stay.
Did not suit out needs. We needed a front desk.
Good location
location is great.Easy to take bus, and can take bus 5C to airport to save money. TV reception is poor, only couple channels is working sometimes. Hope to have more English channels.
Great location and the shared cooking and living area was very useful.
The common area was an excellent well maintained space with fresh fruit and coffee provided.
Affordable stay in great location
Very easy check in process following the instructions emailed to me before arrival. This is more a self check in/service hotel but is very well presented and immaculately clean. The room was a good size with plenty of storage and hanging space and the shower was very powerful. We loved the location of M18, right in the heart of Norrebro, and it is within easy walking distance of lots of attractions. The hotel was very quiet and set at the end of a street away from the main road so it was perfect for our needs.
Its different than most hotels. There is no reception but there is a common are with a kitchen and a few tables and chairs
I like it but it could be better, the bathroom needs a deep cleaner.
Overall good, and I'll be back.
I've stayed here 3 - 4 times. It's convenient for work. Everything is self-service. I kinda like that. When you get it below DKK 750,- it's good. Above, really not worth it.
Central and still quiet
Stay was very nice, quiet and comfortable
Booking glitch but a good stay
Booking Glitch meant I was offered a little apartment a little bit closer to the city. Bed was comfortable The all in one shower/toilet was a bit different with a stainless steel floor. Shower had good pressure and temperature. Great location close to a lot of restaurants. I found it a little bit cold. But still very good value for Copenhagen so I was happy.
It is small inn but it was cleaned and very helpful owner and staff. The called the taxi and help us with the bags because there was no elevatorbut very helpful.
Utilitarian but comfortable
Utilitarian. There is a common area/kitchen and we were able to hear people when they were using it, but fortunately people were quiet at night. The bed was surprisingly comfortable.
Easy check in. Great location. Comfortable lodging.
M18 hotel Copenhagen
I stayed one night at hotel M18 on a stopover from the UK to Sydney. I booked M18 as it was a reasonable price (for Copenhagen) and on the doorstep of the Norrebro area. It is an up and coming and rather cool place full of great eateries, micro brewery, Michellin star restuarants, funky wine shops etc. I was very happy with the stay and the location. Not much happening in terms of service as the concept is self service. i.e. sefl service key pickup via a lock box, self service tea, coffee, breakfast in a common room with a kitchen. This is how they keep the costs stable and it suited me!
Very nice and clean
All facilities included, clean, cheap for our trip and staff very helpfull.
A stay in Copenhagen
Lovely City, hotel nice, clean & comfortable. The only down side (and this can happen anywhere) is the noise form late night revellers, returning not very quietly at 03:00 on wooden floors. Noise was awful and a number of residents were woken and understandably annoyed. Approximately 15mins walk to the centre.
Just like home!
We stayed here one night before a cruise leaving from Copenhagen. The location was perfect for us and the accommodations were clean and stylish. Isabelle's was so helpful and even offered to hold a package for us until we returned from our cruise. We are very grateful!
Good self service hotel with comfortable beds
Sometimes I don’t like all the fuss of a fully serviced hotel and M18 was an ideal break from that with good information and contact to allow self check in and out. I didn’t use the kitchen or dining area but it looked well supplied.
Like staying in someone's cozy room
It is sort of like staying in a room at someone's house. It's quite nice. There is a common area with a kitchen for cooking.
A better version of hostal
It was ok.
It looks like an old apartment building but recently renovated. The location is close to bus stops, and not far from Metro & city center. Room is small.
Interesting concept hotel
Hotel is an interesting concept with central kitchen facility which can be useful as Copenhagen is an expensive city. Convenient for bus and metro not too far away and the rooms are functional. Good for those looking for affordable option without necessarily backpacking.
It was a great place but we had to keep windows open due to the heat(no AC) and th courtyard could be noisy.
Very small room
We did not receive entry information before we left for our 3 week vacation. It just happened that someone was leaving as we arrived. The room was very small. Smallest we had ever stayed in. The next morning we and 2 other guest, a couple from Vermont and a couple from Italy tried to make coffee but none could figure out how it worked. We just made instant coffee in the microwave. Would not recommend stay here.
The hotel is located pretty close to the city center. You can walk or take a quick bus ride. The hotel is more like a hostle or airbnb. I was there for 3 days and did not get any fresh towels. It was also really hot in the room with no air conditioning ment you had to open the windows but kids were playing and other guest talking made jt very noisey. For a hotel i would give it 2 stars for a hostle/airbnb i give it 4. So my overall rating would probably be 3.
Great value and they offer a lot more than you expect. Very professional check in procedures. Kitchen facilities were a huge plus. Bathroom was clean but not pristine. Stairs to loft are very steep and it gets hot up in the loft area. Without a fan we were uncomfortable sleeping up there. The main bed was perfect.
Nice enough, but not restful because of noise
We stayed two nights in a family suite in June. Our suite was spacious and clean, if very minimal. It was very clean, but a few things in the room were damaged or broken. The shower leaked a bit, the table had cut marks on the surface, one of the blankets had a small tear. Wioletta was a kind host and very helpful. There were great restaurants (Brus, Pizza, and Mirabella) right around the corner, and public transport and groceries close by. The biggest negative for us was it was incredibly noisy. There is a playground (school?daycare?) directly our front and the kids screamed and shouted starting at around 7 am. There was noisy garbage pick up at 6 each morning. And, the walls were paper thin meaning we could hear every word, clinking dish, and coffee machine use by other guests using the communal spaces. We were also positioned right by the front door, which would slam and shake the walls every time guests came and went.
nice hotel with friendly/nice staff.
extremely nice staff. great kitchen and dining area. the room was clean but small.
Nice hotel, not a great neighborhood.
Far from downtown but close to busses. My son-in-law booked two rooms with four beds each and was told that price. Then was charged extra because of extra beds?! That should have been told up front. Very weird and unexpected.
Much easier connection to central Copenhagen than expected. Violetta was there when we arrived and was very helpful. We were able to get into our room earlier than expected also, thanks to her assistance. The hotel feels very homey and comfortable-although the room is small we had everything we needed, and all was very clean and well appointed. Thank you!
Very good especially for price
Easy access from the airport and to everywhere else by bus or walk. It can be a little noisy as the floorboards squeak but I thin kit was just unlucky as there was a very large family staying when I did. Kitchen very clean and whilst I did t cook there it would be easy to self cater in.
This was a very nice hotel centrally located in Copenhagen with a lot of stellar restaurants within walking distance. The only complaint is that there's a gate to an adjoining property that would creak and slam pretty frequently and it was not very soundproof within the property. Other than that, it was a great place to rest your head for a trip to Denmark.
Very clean and easy to find in a convenient location. Traveled all over using catching the bus a few minutes away and connecting to the metro.
Good location but a few things could be better
When we got there our room was SO hot. None of us could sleep very well because of that. The walls are very thin so when a few guys got there drink on until 3 am in the common space- you were up with them. Also wish we could have gotten clean towels at least once. location was great. Super close to a bus stop. Clearly has been updated recently. Nice place if you get/want a budget deal.
Unusual with no reception but the room was spacious and clean
Comfort spacious family stay hotel
It was really good hotel.its like a little shared house.we can cook anything we want .All the cooking pans everything there. There is a oven microwave cooker fridge coffee machine kettle dish washer. You can make your own breakfast all things there.we had a very good time.My daughyer loves it.very clean and nice hotel. We would like to go again.Staff was very helpful very friendly keep us very welcome. To the buses also very easy access.we got very lovely guests who shared nicely.
Wonderful!
I absolutely loved staying here. It was the best choice I made. Within walking distance of parks and castles and much to do! And the room is so comfortable, I was so pleased.
Excellent! Thank you!
Self check-in was a bit confusing at first but fine once you figure it out. They email you details 48 hours before arrival. No elevator , stairs to walk if on 2nd floor. For breakfast purchase something at a pastry shop or convenience store. Coffee and Tea available.
Second time staying. Rooms good size. Though the shower this time ended up flooding the bathroom due to being blocked I think and room was slightly warm. The place was in excellent condition and really helpful base to go from.
Nice cozy place conveniently located near public transportation. Depending on which room you get, be prepared to climb some steep stairs to reach it. This place is more of an adult lodge rather than considered as a hotel, but it is clean, safe, and, as mentioned, very conveniently located.
Not bad.
If you have an android or other hand held device for finding the place that works best, it is not far from the city center but you want to catch the local bus which is a block away and which also runs to the airport, at a slow pace, and also stops at the metro station.
Highly Reccomended
Immaculately clean and very quiet hotel. 2 minute walk to bus stop for buses to central Copenhagen or a 20 minute walk to the centre. Well equipped and clean communal kitchen if you wish to save a little money. Also has a fridge in the room which we find increasingly unusual but very convenient.
Great place for weekend
Everything was very good. Nice and very convenient kitchen. Izabela is a very kind and helpful.
Good accommodation
Great accommodation with good facilities. You can find a common kitchen area with utensils which is missing nothing. Parking might be problematic, as you would need to park in the public street. I always managed to find a space though. On check out I asked the staff to refill the machine with coffee beans but my request was totally ignored.
Cosy hotel in central Copenhagen.
Location: Great hotel located within 10 minutes walking distance of central Copenhagen. Plenty of shops/resteraunts in the vicinity as well. Staff: extremely friendly and helpful. Hassle free check in and check out. Rooms: clean, cosy and and most importantly warm. It made all the difference when returning from sightseeing in wintery Copenhagen. Extras: communal kitchen was a great asset. Eating out in Copenhagen was a little pricey, so it was helpful to use this to cook a few lunches/meals.
Very friendly staff, clean room and great central location... Highly recommended.
Im Zimmer und Aufenthaltsraum stand Coffe and Tee for free.
Træk fra vinduer og bløde madrasser.
Super lokation.
Veramente soddisfatta
Could use some improvement
This is a self check-in hotel. I was told I would get instructions and a door code the day before check-in, but did not receive any info. I had to call twice to get some assistance on entering the bulding and finding my key. The room was nice, but the floors creaked a lot and walls are paper thin. We could hear people in.the hallways and someone in the next room was playing loud techno at 2am. Not very nice.
Nice hotel for family or group
Nice hotel if more than 2. But bad smell in bathroom.
Nice hotel if you are more than 2
Nice central place if you are more than 2. BUT room 14 had a treible smell in the bathtoom......
Beskidt, glemt at sende tjek ind oplysninger.
Bedbugs
Do never go there. This is dirty and has bedbugs!
Its a lie!
The hotell is more of a "rent a room" experience. The "hotel" cleanliness is soo far from what the pictures shows when booking! The whole place has been neglected. Dirty carpets, dirty walls, spider web on roof lining, old moldy dust on top of curtains, mold in shower, chalk all over the place from the chalky water in bathroom, extremly noisy. Walls and floors must be made of paper.. bad service when checking in.
Wouldn’t book it again.
1. We received no information about the check in, so we had to call them to get the codes to the key boxes 2. The room was dirty and very smelly. The carpet was very durty and the shower had black mold. 3. very noisy neighborhood 4. the only positiv thing is the location, which is very good
Hotel not recommended! We want our money back! Before we arrived, we read that there had been bed bugs in the hotel for a month. But the staff denied this. We decided to go to the hotel anyway and were horrified to find that there were clear signs of bed bugs. We found ink-like stains, bed bug scales on the bed and in the drawers, as well as fresh droppings that could be wiped off. We also found a larva under the bed linen! After we had photographed it, we left the accommodation immediately and drove on. We actually wanted to spend a day in Copenhagen, but we weren't allowed to. It's a shame.
Ok hotel
