The Volcan is a lovely resort with very good staff and service. I gave it only four stars for several reasons. The food was very bland and boring and we ate in the restaurant at night just twice in 11 nights. Apparently there was another restaurant on site but it was closed. Fortunately we were at the Marina with lots of food options and ate there the rest of the time. We had Breakfast there, but no fresh strawberries, Raspberries or Blueberries. The fruit was very repetitious. There were poached eggs offered once and never saw any again. The cold fruit and cereal area got squeezed into a small buffet when there was obviously a big influx of European’s expected,as the cold meat and cheese offerings were spread out with lots of room where the fruit had been. There was no nice bar to come back to for a nightcap for a quiet drink. The only option was the room they had the entertainment in and we went in on our first night and it was like we were in God’s waiting room. Purple light and a weird atmosphere. Silence and everyone on their phones. That was enough for us. Had our own nightcap in our room. The outside areas with pools is great but getting a little run down in need of some repairs and painting. There was peeling paint on the floors in a number of places. On the plus side, our room was spotlessly clean and the housekeeping staff were amazing. Would I go back, maybe, but probably not. Too many other places in the world to visit.
Friendly, welcoming and efficient staff made our stay a pleasure. The Volcan Club area (adults only) was ideal for us, quiet, with a great pool area with bar. Our room was perfect with a good seating area and a sea view across to Fuerteventura. Fabulous breakfast, afternoon tea, and an evening bar were all excellent.
Fantastic hotel and well located next to the marina. Would definitely stay again.
We love this hotel and return often. The hotel appears to retain staff, always a good sign, they are helpful and friendly. Rooms and surrounding areas are spotless. Good quality food but we would like to see a better choice for lunch, soup, sandwiches, baguettes. Evening entertainment is varied and good. There’s a great choice of bars and restaurants within 10 minute walk.
Perfect location … lovely Hotel
The room was a good size with seperate sitting area and looked exactly as I expected from the pictures in website. TV incuded British channels and was huge. Lots of sets of stairs/ steps around the grounds which didn't all have bannisters or rails which made it difficult/ dangerous for clients with reduced mobility.
Lovely stay
Lovely place and room. The bathroom needs updating and there was a lot of cat mess near our balcony that was never cleaned up.
Room 153 was in an excellant location, spa a bit basic (plunge pool and magma room out of order)
An amazingly designed hotel with a village feel. Not soulless like many contemporary hotels. Wonderful location next to the Rubicon Marina. Food buffets and the service was exceptional. The rooms were wonderfully spacious and well equipped. I will be returning very soon.
The hotel is very relaxing, the atmosphere is serene. We stayed in December and it had a number of heated pools. There were always available sun loungers. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. Breakfast was great.
Excellent, 10/10 cannot wait to go back
I love the property for its location and the extremely well maintained pools and outdoor area. The condition inside the room was very clean and organised but you can tell they had been accumulated some love during the years. The faucet in the bathroom is bit old and push button on the toilet jump out. The buffet dinner is very good but seems a bit short of staffs at some nights, they did not have the extract wine I ordered and the waiter made clear it will be corrected on the ticket, but still showed up during check out to sort out. Very old fashion, but I will come back if it is cheap.
`
Excellent hotel.
Aesthetically the property had tons of character! It was also conveniently located to numerous shops and restaurants. Two major beaches were also walkable from the hotel! The breakfast buffet was enormous And delicious!
Set up like a Spanish village right by marina with many great shops and restaurants.Very clean and staff very friendly and welcoming.Pools were great always plenty of free sunbeds.Food of very good quality. Only downside was soundproofing could be better but not much of a problem. About half an hour or so from airport. Not the hustle and bustle of other resorts perhaps but exactly what we wanted.
Excellent hotel lovely friendly people, the pools are great lots of sunbeds and space, the buffet restaurant is brilliant a different theme every night with lots of choice, surrounding area is good with a lovely beach within walking distance
Nice hotel close to the Rubicon marina. Decent size swimming pool, walkable, close to all amenities.Great place to stay for a few nights. My wife had a birthday and we have received a bottle of cava in the morning. Really well done to the reception staff 👍 Small, but a very nice gesture. All and all, very nice stay. Would recommend.
Lovely complex. Large but interesting and the location in Playa Blanca could not have been better. Lovely spacious room, cleaned and laundered daily and the staff were helpful and polite.
My family, friends and I have been coming to this beautiful hotel for over 20 years and I absolutely adore it! The hotel is just gorgeous, very luxurious with every facility you could ask for including a delicious array of cuisines. The hotel is beautifully located overlooking the Marina Rubicón which has lots of lovely restaurants and bars. The staff are wonderful - so kind, friendly and welcoming - nothing is too much trouble - and they are always smiling and cheerful. Many of the staff have been here for years and I love the sense of family and continuity. Thanks to Gaby, the resident entertainment manager for many years, the entertainment programme is brilliant with every evening show being of outstanding quality - a special ‘shout out’ to the fabulous Pavarotti & Friends and a truly wonderful Flamenco show. There are classes throughout the day for those who want them including aqua gym, Zumba, aqua spin, gong meditation and wine and arts classes to name but a few. Overall, another wonderful experience at the Hotel Volcan - I’ll be back very soon!
Hotel was very nice just a few niggles with room location very noisy outside room with maids trolleys, people coming & going & lack of shade for sunbeds
One of my favourite hotels in Lanzarote, especially in the Club area which is adults only!
FABULOUS - in every way
Such a beautiful hotel in a beautiful part of playa blanca, the staff were incredible and friendly. The facilities, especially the pool, were very clean and i'm so sad to have left.
Fantastic hotel, definitely a true 5 star. The best buffet food I've had at a hotel. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Service was always very quick and effective. Evening entertainment was also the best I've seen at a hotel before. Rooms are spacious and pleasant. Largest TV in a hotel room, if that adds anything for you. The only room for improvement was the sun beds need updating, they are not very comfortable. Also the gym is not great, rather limited. But this would not stop me from coming back.
Loved the location and the staff were very helpful too.
This hotel is a delight! Tranquil, great good, drink and customer service!! Had to move hotels due to poor standards and got here and we were wowed!! We are coming back next year!!!
My fourth time staying here because they never let us down. My absolute favourite holiday destination for relaxation. We like to eat in the many fabulous restaurants just outside the resort but this year we opted to do 3 of our evenings dining at the hotel’s buffet which was handy as my daughter and her boyfriend joined us this year, it did not disappoint. They have a different theme every evening so lots of variety and endless choice. The staff are always on hand to ensure your meal is perfect, especially the lovely Mercedes who has been working there a long time. She always goes out of her way to make sure my husband is not left out for choice as he’s celiac and his choices can be limited. There was a different dessert there for him every day. The chefs were also very willing to give him all the information he needed to reassure him. The entertainment is top class also. The spa was very accommodating for myself and my daughter and brought in an extra therapist so that we could get a treatment and use the facilities together, thanks to Veronica. The Indoor thermal suit is probably due an upgrade but it has all that you need regardless and each guest gets 90 minutes free so hard to complain. Lots of sun loungers available throughout the day, fabulous large pool areas and a few pools to choose from, nice food in the poolside restaurant and there’s also a bar serving snacks hot and cold, such as pizza, chicken wings etc. love this resort and can’t wait to go back.
We went 20 years ago, its fair to say it hasnt aged well ,at least one star should be remove if not 2
So staying at Hotel Livvo Vulcan had been a real treat. We really enjoyed the poolside view from our room and would recommend this option to anybody looking to book. Facilities and the room amenities are excellent, room was cleaned/tidied and replenished daily. The only annoying thing about the room we found is that a double room ended up as two single beds that were pulled together but moved easily. Mattress was also quite hard with springs felt if lying in the same spot for too long. The spa facilities were excellent and clean throughout. Spa staff very helpful and recommended some good places to eat also. The poolside generally was pleasant but it was noticed that the pool could do with some TLC, primarily that a number of the tiles were coming off. The poolside was also slightly unkept / dirty in some areas where large families had gathered but it was cleaned on our last day so maybe a reason for this. The restaurants had lots of options to dine in and although we only went with the breakfast option for our holiday, we did dine in at the dinner buffet one evening and found it to be excellent choice and better food than most restaurants at the marina. I would seriously consider this option in future. Good selection of entertainment, including a foam party. I would recommend this hotel to anybody looking to stay in this area and have already shared our experiences with friends and family for future visits.
Best hotel I’ve stayed at in Lanzarote so far
We had a club room so this review is based on that experience. Check in was quick and friendly. The room was clean and huge. The pool area was lovely and clean with no hassle getting a sun lounger. All the staff were fantastic and the food was great. Will definitely stay again.
Reception staffs are very friendly and very good. All staffs are very helpful. Very good hotel. Food was really good. Really enjoyed my stay here.
One week stay in LIVVO Hotel
We stayed for 1 week in the LIVVO Volcán hotel. The staff were friendly. The location is excellent. The rooms are really nice, bright and clean but no USB ports. The TV has English channels. The buffet breakfast had good options. But please note that the dinner buffet is themed each night so it may not suit everyone. We had family with kids using the kids club and they loved it. The pools are big but could do with some maintenance. Plenty of sun beds but very few outdoor areas to just sit. The hotel is well kept but on two occasions we saw a cockroach in the hallway. And on another occasion, smelly bags of laundry were left outside our room for several hours, which we had to ring reception to remove. But this did not ruin our stay. I would recommend this hotel.
Hotel LIVVO Volcán is ideal for a family holiday. Right next to the Marina Rubicón with lots to do for all ages. Highly recommend!
The Volcán is a traditional hotel with exceptional service, some of the areas of the hotel look a bit dated but the room was fantastic everything you need and kept so clean amazing . The food is of a great standard with a great daily selection. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.
Club area for adults only is a must. Breakfast served to you in the private dining area. Free afternoon tea with Prosecco 4pm. Free open bar 6.30-8pm. Fabulous hotel with lovely staff.
paradise
beautiful property. great staff. everything was perfect.
Great food and facilities
It is a lovely hotel in a great location but it is starting to get a bit shoddy. Our aircon was very noisy and couldnt cool the room. Staff are frosty. This was my 10th visit to this hotel. No recognition. The spa staff told us we could have a free pass for an initial visit to the indoor pool but when we asked for this at reception, not only did they deny this, they looked at us like we were low life. It was understaffed and very hard to get a drink through table service during the increasingly amateurish shows. Buffet remains nice for both breakfast and evening meal. The new Barcelo has opened next door and I might give that a try next time.
The Hotel LIVVO Volcán Lanzarote is a beautiful hotel with amazing friendly and welcoming staff and wonderful facilities. Over many years, this hotel has become my ‘second home’ where I so often say that my soul is at peace. The restaurants in the hotel are delightful offering an array of cuisine to suite every taste and catering for many different dietary requirements. The many restaurants, tapas bars and cocktail bars around the nearby marina, are only 5 minutes walk from the hotel and are equally delightful and varied. The hotel offers an excellent and diverse entertainment programme during the day including aqua gym, Pilates and yoga as well as wine-tasting and paella ‘shows’. The entertainment in the evening is outstanding with a wide variety of artists and music. I’ve only just returned from my holiday and can’t wait to go back!
Spectacular reception area with its indoor waterfall. Reception staff pleasant but lacking a bit in service: didn’t explain directions to room very well perhaps a ‘bellboy’ to show us room/help with bags? On the contrary when we entered our room we noticed a bad ‘drain smell’ - but this was fixed the time we returned from lunch. The hotel it’self was in a great position over looking the marina and everything you would need from beaches to restaurants was in easy walking distance.
From the wonderful entrance - a copy of the church in Teguise complete with Gregorian chants and incense to the beautifully attired room, we were blown away by this hotel, simply couldn’t fault it! Delicious food with ample choice, friendly staff, perfect location and 2 large swimming pools in a superb setting, we could not have been happier! I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Hotel Livvo Volcán and sincerely hope to repeat the experience!
Very good well managed hotel spread out over a large area with well appointed rooms. Several dining options on offer, some at extra cost, & food is very good & varied. There are several swimming pools with plentiful sun loungers & pool towels provided. Evening entertainment a bit hit & miss for the standard of hotel & could be better. Overall though a very good hotel in a great location on the Rubicon Marina.
Definitely the most beautiful hotel in the area!! We loved it
Hotel was beautiful, lovely and clean, staff were exceptional. Totally recommended
Beautifully designed property Clean Different areas so you can always find a good spot sheltered from the wind
Excellent
Wonderful 2 week stay in this beautiful hotel grounds are immaculate staff very helpful plenty parking and loved being so close to the marina and wonderful restaurants
Beautiful hotel, lovely staff, and provide lots of subtle entertainment that you don’t have to get involved in. Rooms are beautiful but could do with an update, and some more comfy sunbeds, but it’s still a very good hotel.
Stylish hotel with fabulous staff. Was upgraded to a Master Suite on arrival and made the most of the spacious apartment and private garden with amazing views of the harbour, Fuerteventura, Papagayo beach and Castillo de las Coloradas. Enjoyed the relaxing environment of the adults only ‘Club Volcan’ which was definitely worth paying the extra for, and included extra perks such as a separate buffet breakfast, a sophisticated afternoon tea and a relaxed ‘help yourself’ mixology bar with various wines, beers, spirits and mixers. Huge choice with the buffet dinner but preferred to mix with dinner out in the marina which were close by. Would highly recommend.
The exclusive nature of Club Volcan very good.
Great location but having returned again from November not worth the money . The standard of food was noticeably different . I asked if new chef since November and the staff said yes ! Really disappointed in food , generally poor , tasteless, very poor hygiene - pulled chef up about using same tongs with raw meet as cooked he didn’t understand what I said. Very very disappointing as returned for the food ! I think most guests felt the same it was at the best average ! I had two undercooked poached eggs , raw chicken and raw pork the chef tends to rush the cooking of the fresh meats ! The containers where the prunes and figs were were dirty daily I think the pots just refilled but never washed as finger prints all over the plastic and left over prunes and fig stains in the grey bowl part . Deserts tasteless and although plenty no taste at all as well as the cheese. Totally different experience with the food than November 2023 ! Please hotel volcan - take note it’s really noticeable and many people talking about it around the pool - regulars ! If I came again I’d never go half board . I honestly think it’s a real issue with health and food hygiene and could result in guests becoming ill ! Please stop cross contamination by using different tongs for the raw meet and picking and turning the cooked meat ! When I pointed it out two guests agreed and just said they just won’t listen ! Also if restaurant closes at 10 don’t make guests feel wrong asking for an omelette at 5 to 10 !
We loved the design in the style of a Canarian village...and easy walking to the nearby marina with shops and restaurants
Really pleasant stay - Thoroughly enjoyable
An incredible stay! 100% recommend
The best stay ever! We honestly cannot fault this hotel in the slightest way. The location, rooms, pools, staff, interior design, it was all perfect. I would revisit in a heartbeat! Rooms were super clean, staff were incredibly helpful, in close proximity to amazing restaurants, views and supermarkets, and also an amazing breakfast with a fantastic choice of different foods at the hotel. We loved Hotel LIVVO!
This was our 2nd stay at this property which is a gem. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of many bars and restaurants but if that’s not for you, the dining at the hotel is excellent. Some garden view and pool view rooms may have a shady aspect so we book a sea view room. The staff are friendly and efficient. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this hotel.
(Room) We paid for extra to book room with partial ocean view. 1st night was put in the room did have partial ocean view but the balcony was occupied by aggressive penguins. Don't want hotel to kick out penguins and the potential new born coming soon. The hotel then changed us to a lately renovated room but NO ocean view for our remaining 3 nights. But as we hung out around the hotel most of the stay, we can tell they didn't have sold out condition as they claimed. This is not the worst. The worst is the door knot in the lately renovated room was not screwed well so I locked myself inside bathroom on day 3. Used the phone inside the toilet area to call hotel. No one immediately came. I called my partner who is in the sailing center nearby to come back and check status with the hotel. After half hour or more, a non-English speaker worker showed up our room and had to use some tools to let me out the toilet room. Without any expression, we believe he thinks his job is do so he left. After this terrible incidence, we received no inquiry or apology from hotel LIVVO staffs, like nothing ever happened. (Food) Besides, during 4 night stay, the buffet was poorly made and plain vanilla for the first 3 nights and only turns better the last night. Therefore, we conclude the breakfast and dinner buffet is only served with good quality when the hotel receives more guests. Overall, the buffet is a wild card and does not worth to dine in.
Stayed in the club suite room and facilities which were as expected first class
Very nice, not perfect but certainly well worth a visit and we would cert Will go again. Nice food and located 5 mins from the Harbour and the market which is on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Lots of lovely place to eat too.
Very nice hotel right beside the marina
Character and design, all staff extremely helpful
Favourite hotel in Lanzarote. Calm peaceful atmosphere. Love the exercise classes. Great choice of areas to sunbathe, sun beds always available. Breakfast great. Been going for over 10yrs. Hotel seems able to retain staff as we are often greeted by familiar faces, always a good sign. Situated in good area plenty of bars and restaurants close by.
This was my second time staying at the Volcan, it is a lovely hotel and i definitely will be coming back.
We stayed 4 nights in the adults only area (Club Volcan) in mid February, The hotel overall is very clean, not too busy, and the Club Volcan area is exclusive with excellent breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening bar, all inclusive with the price. The outdoor heated pool, sunbed and jacuzzi are clean and well maintained. There is fast WiFi, but only in certain areas, and not really in our room. Overall, an excellent experience with very efficient and helpful staff.
Large comfortable rooms, lovely views, Club comes with jacuzzis on adult only terrace, open bar and peace and quiet. recommended !
Fabulous hotel. Quality of food good. Short walk to the marina. Lots of pool areas and places to sit in beautiful well kept gardens
Amazing hotel Who could ask for more?
No complaints Excellent standard
Wonderful hotel ina superb location. Welcoming staff, with excellent facilities (not all the restaurants were open yet plenty within 5-10 minutes walk). Clean, great rooms. Nothing to complain about
Gorgeous hotel. Loved our stay here and would visit again. Thank you!
We were delighted with LIVVO Volcán. The hotel has a fine setting close to the newly developed Marina Rubicon and is stunningly designed, with a replica church, volcano and Canarian architecture. Our room was very comfortable with attractive garden view, spacious and peaceful. Food in the Florida buffet restaurant is excellent. All hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great holiday and look forward to a return visit.
Hotel very clean and easy parking Substantial buffet breakfast
Amazing hotel and staff - beautiful area with lots of lovely restaurants. I’ve been going to Playa Blanca for 30 years and to the Hotel Volcan for over 20 years. It’s my happy place and my second home - it’s where my soul is at peace. I’ll be back soon!
Good hotel, excellent breakfast and good sized room. Only stayed as B&B guests as prefer dining out.
Fantastic location, lovely hotel and staff
Full of nooks and crannies with character and excellent facilities service meals and entertainment instead of a boring clinical contemporary monolith.
Amazing hotel
Our second stay at this amazing hotel. Facilities, staff, food, ambience, location all excellent. Will return and recommend to others.
Lovely
Beautiful hotel. Good location. Clean. Good size room. Friendly staff.Easy to book excursions. We found food not hot enough in the restaurant. Plates not always hot. Cafe by the pool produced hot tasty meals.
Stayed for a week over Christmas and loved this hotel and everything about it. The entrance was like entering a Church, very unique and very christmassy. The Bali beds by the pool were my favourite with amazing views over the sea to the various islands and a bar provided if you wanted drinks but there were many pools throughout the hotel. Breakfast, which was included in our package, was lovely (you could add on extra items for a small cost) and went to the hotel restaurant buffet where the choice was amazing. Room was lovely and kept very clean. The hotel is also close to some lovely restaurants, bars and shops and only a short walk to the hustle of the bars in Playa Blanca. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back again.
Superb stay for Xmas
A wonderful greeting at check in as usual - quick and efficient. The Christmas church entrance was wonderful & festive. Plenty of choices at breakfast you won’t go hungry. Due to it being Christmas the fizz was flowing and live music playing at breakfast. The main pool was pretty chilly to get into as it’s not heated but we braved it daily - obviously the heated pool was easier to swim in! We found it easy getting restaurants in the marina without bookings - give them a try if your bed & breakfast. I did hear the Christmas gala buffet meal was s success but we gave it a miss this year. I can only say our stay was amazing as usual - I’m super delighted to have the extra use of the interior hall way door due to high winds most mornings/nights made the main door rattle a little. Overall we shall be back to stay here again in the near future. Happy new year to everyone at The Volcan
Very good ambiance
Property has a story to tell with its majestic Volcano structure and its inviting entrance which takes you through a mock church building with church music playing guiding you towards the reception. The property has a unique feel to it with its stone structure giving it a volcanic feel. Rooms are big and the views over the Marina are excellent. We only had B&B as plenty of excellent restaurants in the Marina. The property is over 20 years old and it does show in part, for example the lack of a walk-in shower instead offering a shower over a bath. Also property could do with a lick of paint to freshen it up. These are minor things though. It is definitely a 5 star old but lacks the "luxury" feel that would be afforded to it if it was like the Princess Yaiza hotel or the new Barcelo Playa Blanca hotel. The close proximity of the hotel to the marina is a selling point for this hotel.
Wonderful experience... such a lovely hotel in a great area. We will return.
Outstanding hotel & staff
We arrived pretty early and luckily our room was ready - we had a great room which was dressed amazing for our anniversary / fizz all chilled and ready for drinking. Plenty of sunbed choices and areas to relax around the various pools. Very clean and attractive looking main pool area. Breakfast was so vast with so much choice - fizz is available to make Buck’s Fizz or mimosas - the attractive restaurant for dinning is superb with pool views. We luckily took advantage of the spa facilities including a couples massage. Most definitely worth looking what’s on offer daily. Both massages were spectacular. We didn’t eat onsite in the evenings but heard some fantastic reviews from other guests. The rubicon market is well worth a visit / many trinkets and great prices. It’s literally just outside the marina gate. The poolside bar & drinks were delicious - our only criticism would be to introduce a poolside bar service from the sunloungers. I would have drank more relaxing if they had that service. From check in staff - house keep - spa agents - waiter waitresses & poolside bar staff they were super happy and attentive from morning til night. The attractive hotel venue and fantastic entrance makes this hotel outstanding - we shall 100% be returning and recommending to our friends & family.
Good Place To Stay. But check Payments
Nice place to stay, Rooms have decent amount of space. Some would say a Little dated but we liked them. Breakfast is really good quality & always kept orderly. Nice pool areas. Only 2 criticisms No toiletries in room other than the wall mounted ones, as it has a bath it would have been nice to have bubble bath. The silicon arround the bath left a lot to be desired. All in all would recommend very nice place to stay. There was an issue with payment as Hotels.com showed that I had paid a deposit when I booked but the hotel said not. So I had an additional Expense I hadn’t budgeted for. Make sure you check what you have actually paid so there are not any surprises
Made for great relaxation.
Beautiful hotel gorgeous pools especially the heated ones were a real treat the only down side to the hotel is the bad wifi on our room we couldnt get a signal at all
Good place for family vacations with half board restaurant and many swimming pools. Kids liked the animations
Great breakfast, 2 heated pools, lovely large pool, friendly and helpful staff, clean, lovely area close to some amazing beaches
Fantastic hotel in marina rubicon, wouldn’t stay anywhere else! Breakfast was delicious every morning and there are so many lovely restaurants to chose from ok the marina where the hotel is conveniently located. Fantastic stay and would definitely recommend.
Good choice of hotel!
Nice hotel, stunning reception and excellent value. Good location straight above the Rubicon marina. Mostly older adult guests which kept it quiet but suited us. Food good with plenty of choice and a core of static buffet + specials/themes changing nightly but if you spent more than 7 nights here it might get a little repetitive. I’m not vegetarian but there seemed a particularly good choice for anyone who was. Overall this was good choice.
Worked well for us
We liked most things, especially the location, large swimming pool & sense of space. The only slight criticisms were the weak, intermittent wifi and some of the towels (both room & pool) which were much too worn for such a hotel
Great hotel with fantastic view of the Harbour
An absolutely excellent hotel!
Fabulous
5th visit to the Volcan, now owned by a different chain but standards still very high. Club is wonderful. Staff all efficient, helpful, friendly. A relaxing week.
We stayed here for the 70.3 race. The hotel is perfect as it’s right by the start. The rooms are a little tired but well equipped and very comfortable. We didn’t need the air conditioning mulch but when we did try to use it it was noisy and ineffective. The staff were delightful - always helpful. Buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent and great value. Our only complaint was that we were woken every morning at 6am as they wheeled service trolleys above our room.
This was the 4th time we have stayed at the Volcan Hotel and once again it was a fantastic accommodation choice. My only criticism would be that some of the areas of the hotel are getting tired and in need of Refurb. Namely our bathroom was in need of resealing and grouting around the bath/shower. Also some areas of the floor around the pool are in need of repair with quite a few areas where the concrete screeding has broken and is sharp and dangerous especially for children.
Club suites are not in the Club regrettably
We were pleased to be back after a four year gap but disappointed by our booking of a club suite rather than a club room. The room was separate from the club building and was an independent unit. The hotel thought this was an advantage because it was a unit but we had expected to be in the main building rather than having to go there for breakfast etc and it was not an adults only area. The room was cold in the early mornings so we asked reception for a heater. I would not have minded if they had said they didn’t have them but they just said they would ask house keeping and didn’t give us any feedback. Despite this , the hotel is in a lovely position still and the yaiza restaurant provides nice lunches. We were very lucky with the weather or wise the room temperature would have been more of an issue. Cleanliness is still excellent
Hotel is built as a village around a series of pools and set in well maintained landscaping. You never feel crowded.Excellent breakfast and very good half board.

Excellent hotel and location.
Amazing hotel with great service. Great restaurant and pool areas. Ideally located in the centre of the marina which has some amazing restaurants.
