Unhappy customer

The room was small and dingy,so depressing ,we just couldn’t stay another night ,it was like waking up in a prison cell.The tiny window in the room overlooked a wall.There were four sockets in the room ,three of them didn’t work .The tv didn’t work properly ,the towels smelt terrible .We were so unhappy in the room ,we checked out the following day ,totally spoilt the first few days of our trip .Then we had to find another hotel ,totally stressful when it’s Paris Fashion week .This hotel shouldn’t be on your booking site ,it’s giving you a bad name .

No sense of what customer service is. They don't even have a wine opener for their customers? Really!!! i mean I get that it is Paris but at least help your customers out with directions or a welcoming hello!

Service not great - inflexible - would have been nice to have a warmer welcome. Double beds are very small.

Cozy, clean and well lit room. Yes small but most buildings in France were small, arrived during heatwave so the Air-con helped alot! Great staff, very friendly and able to help us without trouble as we speak English. Not a fan of leaving room key at counter as requested so we just kept it with us. Breakfast was also great with plenty of selection.

Meh

This hotel is one of those that is so tired it couldn’t look clean even if it was bleached from top to toe. Every time I ran the sink the shower bubbled up, and the little shelf under the mirror couldn’t have anything put on it since it was at such a harsh forward slant. I can’t fault the staff, but leaving your key with the desk every time you leave is a bit... odd. Unfortunately my stay was marred by my check out experience, when I was charged 3x for city tax that “declined” but was still taken out of my account.

A nice place to stay in Paris

The room was small but had all we needed. The staff was super accommodating and nice to us. We loved the location...great for shops, sites, metro , g store etc! We had a refrigerator in the room too which was a huge plus. We would return

Great value for cost. A/C doesn’t really work but the weather was great so we let the window open. Rooms are small.. BUT... very clean and amazing staff.

Very convenient

The hotel is well situated near 2 metro stations. The room and bathroom were clean and seem to have been renovated recently, but the overall look of the hotel is a bit worn out, especially the corridors.

The rooms were extremely congested. In fact the bed was so close to the wall that i had to move sideways to get from one side of the bed to the other. The bathroom leaked from above for half the time I was there. The cleaning staff were in the room daily but they didnt bother to fix it.

Lovely hotel perfectly located and close to Metro

We spent a great weekend at this hotel which was in a convenient location. Rooms relatively small but extremely clean. Fantastic choice and would stay again

Good location but very small room

Hotel did not live up to expectations. The room was so small that you could not fully open the bathroom door. Had to constantly ask for tea, milk, sugar etc.as these were not replenished. Location was good as near to metro stations and supermarkets.

Small rooms, paper thin walls.

Great area, near the Republique Metro Stop. I’m vegan and there were vegan restaurants in the area. The hotel rooms are really small, wouldn’t be for people who don’t like small spaces. My only compliant would be the noise. The walls are paper thin, and I could hear every conversation the next room was having. Also, starting early in the morning, there were people banging around, moving things around. It would be so loud at times that it startled me. It certainly kept me awake. After hearing constant banging around for a few hours in the morning, it was very irritating. I’m guessing it was housekeeping cleaning the rooms.

Clean and comfortable hotel in good location near Marais. Excellent location very near Metro and within easy reach of major sites. Stylish period building with wrought iron balconies off rooms.

Unfriendly and bad reception

Good location. Small but clean room. Small breakfast but good and fresh. Lady at check on was negative and unfriendly. Wanted to check out at 12.30 she told me the check out was 11am but lied. The next day a very nice gentleman at the reception confirmed it was 12 and it was my right. Whatever you asked this lady was just pure French negativity and unfriendly. If she would not be there, the hotel is actually welcoming.

Good hotel at a great price

Good hotel with a great location. Room was clean and spacious enough although bathroom was quite small. Was nice that there was a fridge in the room. Was nice and quiet at night. Continental Breakfast was ok. Location was fantastic - very close to Temple and République stations and walking distance to Pompidou Centre and Notre-Dame.

Small room

Way to small of a room .. for a 6 day stay. No room on night stands because they have these stupid lamps that take up all the room. If lamps were built into the wall way way better

Comfortable hotel in a great location with really friendly staff. Nothing fancy, but clean, good bed and great shower. Good place to stay if you are out and about all day and looking for a good night's sleep.

Conveniently located close to the subway. Clean. Fairly quiet neighborhood. The room itself was quite small. The staff was very helpful and professional. Has a small but useful elevator/lift. Plenty of eateries within walking distance.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room, though small (no surprise in Paris), was clean & comfortable. The best part is the location - easy access to a lot of good restaurants, stores, metro, bus to major train stations & sites.

You have to leave the key card at the front desk when you go out. It's a bit annoying if you are just going across street to pick up some water. But you will never lose them.

Great central locations in front of Metro du Temple and 3 minutes from Metro Republique. Easy 5-15 minutes walk to Le Marais, 10eme and Canal, Place.de la Republique, Oberkampf bars and cafes. Good staff. Nice rooms. Great experiece

Clean and Excellent Location

Good hotel in an excellent location. The room was small and tidy and the hotel was very clean in general. The front desk staff were very nice despite our broken French :) I would highly recommend this hotel if your priorities are location and cleanliness!

Small room, but pleasant.

Despite a very small room, the experience at Le Relais was very pleasant. The room was clean, the location was ideal- so close to multiple Metro stops, and service was good. Although on a busy street, with the windows closed, the room was very quiet.

Convenient location in Marais

The staff were friendly and helpful and the room and bath were clean. However the room was tiny and the elevator barely held 2 people with a little luggage.

Great Marais Hotel

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Wifi signal in room was weak so I had to sit in the lobby to conduct business. Heat in the water went out my last day of check out.

Nice hotel close to everything.

Room was very clean and had a small balcony that you could step onto. Small room but that is expected in Paris. Hotel personnel was friendly and helpful. No complaints and i would stay there again. Walked from the hotel to Louvre , Bastille, Picasso museum. 2 metro stops are close by, and I took advantage of the local Monoprix 1 block away for my croissant and coffee needs.

Very friendly staff and great location.

I came to this hotel on a business trip, the location was great and was very close to main Metro stations so was easy to navigate your way around the city from the hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful at all interactions and even though French isn't a strength of mine, they were extremely polite during my attempts to communicate. The hotel itself is very well presented and the quality of the rooms is very good. The breakfast space was very small so I would opt to visit a cafe or restaurant if you are on holiday, otherwise its a tight squeeze but the quality is good and very easy to have a quick breakfast. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for business or pleasure. As a lone female traveller, it is very important for me to feel safe in a hotel, and I felt completely at ease there.

Great location, but really small rooms

Rooms are too small and walls are thin, so you can hear the neighbours come in and out. Staff is friendly and location is great, but in the same area you can find a better value for Money

Great little hotel, really close for Pompidou Centre, Notre Dame, just a 15 min (?) walk along the banks of the Seine to Musee D'Orsay/Louvre . v friendly staff, was surprised and impressed wih this place and would/will book again. Only 1 gripe, very minor, nowhere to put soap when in the shower ! Great power shower though ! Thankyou Hotel Le Relais du Marais !

Good for the price (Expedia discount)

Room and elevator were small like many Patis hotels, but bathroom was modern with excellent shower. Not much of a lobby. Close to Place de Republic and Canal St. Martin, but a bit removed from center of Le Marais.

Very close to Temple metro stop and just a few blocks from the larger Republique metro station. This hotel was conveniently located and had a very friendly staff. The rooms are a little small, but that is to be expected of any hotel room in a large city. There are plenty of bakeries, restaurants and shops nearby.

It's was a pretty nice location and the hotel is pretty clean and comfortable

A good value base for the Marias

Great central base for our Bastille Day celebration. Modern, clean and very well located. Friendly and efficient staff, and nice breakfast. I would recommend as a good value Marias base.

Good value

We stayed here three nights as part of an anniversary trip. The room was very small, but I expected this from hotels in this price range in the city.The location was close to two different metro stops, which made it easy to get around. The area around the hotel (Republique) was very busy at night with some homeless people on the street, but we still felt perfectly safe walking around and didn't notice much noise when we were sleeping. The views of the street were very romantic from our window!

was there for a dinner and the location was perfect and close to a good station ( republique). room was a little small as hit knee on bed corner getting to bathroom.(twice). however it was comfortable and what was required. did not have breakfast.

Fraud Hotel

This is a tiny hotel with tiny rooms, close to the Place de la Republique but far from the part of the Marais anyone actually visits. Close to the metro...you hear and feel every train. Bloody rip-off!!! Avoid this hotel.

Great Location. But that's it.

The pros: Awesome location steps away from the Metro. Really cool bars and cafes in walking distance. Rooms and Lobby are clean and beds are comfortable. We received a morning phone call prior to check in welcoming us to Paris and gave us accurate directions on how to get there. Very helpful. The cons: TV didn't work. AC didn't work. Staff wasn't the friendliest. Notified the front desk about the issues and the reply was, "I don't know what you want, I'm not a technician". Also a weird policy, I've never heard of is that they require you to turn in your room key every time you leave the hotel. Didn't feel comfortable with someone holding my keys while I'm out and about. There are multiple bars on the street level that are very loud at night. That really doesn't bug us since the Windows closed drowns out the noise. The broken AC was very inconvenient in that case. Size of the rooms are very small. The elevator is very small which is normal for a small European hotel in which you can only fit 2 people at a time. The issue during the day is that the maids are consistently using the elevator making it impossible to use it. We had to use the stairs from the 4th floor daily. Summary: If you're looking for a spot to sleep short term, it works. After a long day walking through Paris the comfort of the rooms are a plus. Don't expect too much other than that. It was centrally located to everything which was our priority.

Clean and tidy, great location

The location of this hotel was perfect; close to 3 metro stations. The rooms are small but near and tidy, and when you're in Paris you shouldn't need to spend much time in your room!

Fantastic little place

This hotel was in a perfect location as it is very close to Rèpublique metro station which has various links. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also fantastic and made a good start to the day. The bed was made everyday and we were given fresh towels everyday too. The room was small but as we only used it as a base this didn't matter. The carpet needed a bit of a Hoover too.

Such a pleasant stay

We stayed 3 nights for Olympics, me and my friend. The location is perfect, right next to the metro station. It was super pleasant stay for us. Room was beautiful and clean, and we loved our little balcony. Staff was very kind and helpful. We will definitely come back, and I would anytime choose this hotel again. Thank you!

Uitstekend lokatie en schoon. Geen last van geluid van de weg. Gang wel gehorig.

Kamer werd elke dag schoongemaakt. Elke dag ook schone nieuwe handoeken. We kregen door het warme weer ectra gratis water. Bagage kon opgeslagen worden na het uitchecken. Zit in een hippe buitenwijk waar veel engels wordt gesproken, wel fijn.

O atendimento dos funcionários foi muito bom. São atenciosos e gentis. A localização é boa, por ter um metro ao lado. No entanto, a estrutura do hotel deixou muito a desejar. O quarto era extremamente pequeno, sem espaço para malas e para circulação. O banheiro era muito pequeno e não funcional, foi difícil ate acomodar os objetos de uso pessoal. Os corredores são muito estreitos, com carpetes desgastados. Durante um dia e uma noite, um rodo de limpeza permaneceu no corredor, jogado. Enfim, pelo valor da diária e pelas fotos que vimos na internet, infelizmente ficamos decepcionados.

Mysigt men väldigt litet hotell. Fräscht rum med typisk fransk balkong och en utsikt att dö för! Beroende på vem som satt i receptionen avgjorde om servicen var bra eller ej. Som vanligt så suger fransmännen på engelska, men en av receptionisterna visste inte ens vilket håll vi skulle gå åt för att ta oss till Le Marais. Läget är najs och området mysigt. Från vårt rum (45) hade vi utsikt till La statue de la République om man lutade sig över den franska balkongen.

C’est un établissement bien situé au cœur du marais. Accueil agréable. La literie est moyenne et au niveau propreté pas au top non plus .

Excellent. Les chariots encombraient les minuscules couloirs pendant longtemps mais leur travail était très bien effectué.

Good hotel with a good breakfast. Minibar was included in room price, what it's a great bonus. The temperature in the room is a little bit cold. But on average it's a good hotel for this kind of money.

Ontzettend centraal hotel in de leuke wijk 'Le Marais'. Personeel is erg vriendelijk; ik kwam 2 uur voor inchecktijd aan en mijn kamer werd direct gereed gemaakt! Verder super schoon en compacte kamer.

部屋の広さはパリのホテルの平均ぐらい。 比較的新しいホテルと聞いていたが、室内含めてホテル全体あまりきれいではない。部屋にティッシュが置いてないし、朝食も卵料理や野菜は一切ない。サービスに関しては良くないです。 ただ、フロントの皆さんはとても親切ですし、目と鼻の先にTemple駅とMonoprixもあって、利便性は良好です！

Rigtig godt hotel

Rigtig godt hotel som ligger i det bedste og hyggeligste område i Paris. Tæt på metro og i gåafstand til mange seværdigheder og shopping.

Bra hotell!

Litet men bra hotell. Rent och fräscht överallt. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Väldigt bra läge på hotellet med tunnelbana direkt utanför dörren som underlättar att ta sig runt i stan. Rekommenderas varmt!

Fiquei 9 noites hospedada neste hotel. A minha escolha pela localização (no Marais) e pelo preço (não é barato, mas está na média dos valores cobrados nesta região por outros hotéis similares). Não é um hotel novo, mas está em boas condições. O meu quarto era pequeno (estava sozinha), embora tivesse uma cama de casal confortável, não sei se os outros quartos eram maiores. O banheiro era bem pequeno e o box que era muito apertado. O café da manhã era bom, bem básico (café, suco, pães, frios, iogurte, geleias, manteiga, etc). Os atendentes da recepção foram super atenciosos e prestativos. Destaque para a Tania, uma portuguesa, muito simpática e que me ajudou dando dicas de como me deslocar de um ponto ao outro da cidade. O Marais é uma região estratégica para mim, pois 80% das atrações/pontos de interesse podem ser feitos a pé a partir dele. O hotel fica no meio da quadra com acesso a duas estações de metrô a poucos passos de distância. Lugar seguro, com muitos bares/cafés/padarias e mercados próximos. Não usei o wifi do hotel, então não posso falar sobre o seu funcionamento. Recomendo e com certeza me hospedaria de novo neste hotel.
