Lovely small hotel with beautiful indoor garden, safe and quiet. Nice traditional breakfast offered everyday plus other options if you prefer something different.

Great place to stay, I’d say they have one of the best black bean’s recipes! The only thing I disliked is the car entrance. (You need to step down from your car an open the gate by yourself)

Our stay was great, from the time we check in until we check out they made us feel appreciated. Nery was a great host, we came back from a late walk, and he brew some coffee for us, great coffee by the way. Also Roxana prepared our breakfast which was freshly made for all six if us. Restaurants and markets are a short walk distance, fast internet, and various forms of transport are available, front desk arragend two tuk tuks for us. Great and quiet place, we can't wait to be back again.

Our stay was fabulous. The staff is amazing and so helpful. The breakfast was wonderful each morning. The location is prime for the market, restaurants and museums. We had the best stay. The hotel’s unique atmosphere was so peaceful and relaxing. Very safe security with a key gate also. We would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone.

All the staff were wonderful and went above and beyond. I was given recommendations for places to eat. Each time I came in or out there was always someone friendly to say hello or enjoy your outing. They arranged airport transport for me and even made me coffee and a little breakfast to go at 2:30 am. The breakfast included was made to order, which was delicious. This on top of the beautiful courtyard with lush plants and hummingbirds and fountain made my stay great. My two minor gripes are there was a strong damp or musty smell in my room, which I know is due to the tropical environment. I was easily able to mask it with burning incense they provided. Also that its a bit out of the way, but its in a secure neighborhood, so I felt safe, and I was able to get plenty of steps in due to this, so not a big deal. Plus, you pass by some cool ruins on your way into the city center so its a nice walk. Overall I loved my stay here and would definitely stay again.

Fantastic place ,top notch service! We stayed in room number one . Very clean and nicely decorated with a comfortable bed.Lots of tv channels if that is important.The bathroom is clean , spacious and the water is hot as long as it takes.Breakfast and coffee are excellent. All of the staff members are super friendly with excellent service manners.The hotel is located in a gated community and a quiet place ,with two beautiful decorated garden.I have read in another review that it is a bit out of the way and a long walk to the town center which is not true. It's very walkable and not difficult.We will be back here for sure,we stayed three nights.

Good place to stay, not our first time. It’s close enough to walk to the Central Park, is secluded, includes a great breakfast. We’d recommend not to stay in room 1. It’s next to the kitchen and gets a bit noisy.

Cons: The rooms are small, and it’s a 15-20 minute walk to the city center. Pros: We enjoyed delicious breakfasts in the courtyard, which is beautifully maintained. The property is well-kept and decorated with great taste. The staff is very kind, and there is good internet access. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Everything in hotel services was great. Only incovinience >They share a common street entrance with other tenants of lotification,so first,not easy to see name of hotel from the street,gate opens with button on the inside so the first time you call the office to enter . After the first time ,it gets better. But ,plenty of parking , and in Antigua ,that is a bonus.

Had such a great stay at this property and would definitely stay here again when I’m back in Antigua! The property is beautiful and so relaxing! We had early tour days and they made sure to pack us a little to go lunch bag! We were lucky enough to be greated by such a welcoming front desk! Nery was at the front all 3 nights we stayed there and was so welcoming! Always with a smile on his face, and was so helpful and kind! My sister and I felt so safe here and relaxed here!

Nice option for Antigua. It’s in a gated community so a bit of a hassle to get in (you have to call ahead to get them to open the gate). But once you are in its very safe. The hotel itself is nice except I got the room next to the laundry and kitchen so it was very noisy. I’m an early riser so not a big deal but Don’t let them put you in room #1 if you want to sleep past 6 am. Breakfast was good.

Peace and quiet but close to action

Great location on edge of town and at end of gated/walled block of residences, so much quieter than if in town. Was an easy 10 min walk to Central Park. Our sweet was good size with comfortable king sized bed and nice bathroom. Water temp was cool once, so my wife asked about hot water and it was turned up. Breakfasts were good, with eggs, pancakes, beans, and fruit. My wife wished for more fruit, and we both thought the coffee could have been stronger. Super nice staff and beautiful courtyard.

La Antigua Stay

Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We were able to easily book tours and transportation directly with the front desk, making it very convenient. I was able to communicate with them as well via WhatsApp to book transportation from the airport to the hotel. Breakfast was very good and made to order - limited menu, but excellent choices. The room was comfortable and bathroom was in excellent condition. Housekeeping was provided every day. Gated community makes it safe and easy to access. It is a little far from the action, but that is OK because it was very peaceful and quite.

The staff was very pleasant and kind. We absolutely loved the courtyard garden, and enjoyed it during the morning and again with the evening thunderstorms. It is a short (km or so) walk into the tourist section of Antigua but has plenty of options around it as well.

Amazing service loved the access to the hotel was private and pretty safe, also we didn't have a time to be on the hotel so we could go outband return whatever time we wanted.

Small quaint and typical hotel tucked away, maybe too well. The hotel is comfortable with a great garden in the center of the hotel. Hotel staff are excellent. However, the hotel is located at the end of a property with another hotel, apartments, and home behind a gate. The Hotel Marias signage is poor, which made it difficult for us to find it (took almost 15 minutes to finally call a number on the gate). Better signage with instructions about how to enter is needed.

We loved our stay at Las Marias. The staff was wonderful. They made us feel at home. We had two very early tours before breakfast time. They had coffee ready for us. Which we appreciated very much. The patio with the dining tables was very nice. Our only negative issue was the room size. Very small for a party of four. No space to put luggages. Aside from that all went well. The front office were very attentive for all of oue needs. Gracias Hotel Las Marias.

I stayed with my girlfriend for a wedding. It’s a magical little property with a pretty inner garden, clean rooms and friendly staff. It’s very secure in a private neighborhood. Easy to Uber for $2 into town and tuc tuc from. Otherwise it’s about 2 city streets from the main areas 5-10min. Walk.

No privacy hotel

First, check in was not as promised(3pm). Our room was given to us at 3:15. They told us to wait 10 minutes because they were cleaning the room still, and we had to ask the receptionist after 15 minutes what happened with our room, then she took action to find out. The room had no soap and shampoo, we had to ask reception for it. Last, they made a video call via whatsapp on which we did not answer. Then lthey left a text message saying that "so sorry other guest in the hotel need to sleep, like we were having a party in our room. There is no privacy in the rooms. Doors are thin paper. Terrible.

Very nice spanish proerty with good breakfast

I liked the property old look and decir and very colonial details.The manager was unprofessional and very unprepared to handle guest situations. She reprimanded me on many occasions.Her henchman did same. However the maids and breakfast staff were friendly and accomodating. Nice hotel just slightly away from major sights.

The hotel is really nice and the staff is friendly. The only thing that I didn't like is that you need to to walk around 5-6 blocks to get restaurants, bars and main attractions.

Big room and good breakfast

We arrived really late (2am) and the employee was ready to give us the room. The check in was efficient and the breakfast was really good. I appreciated my stay there and would recommand.

Very comfortable

Wonderful hotel and very accommodating. We used the airport transportation arranged through the hotel and is was smoot and easy. The driver was very polite and was waiting for us just outside the airport exit.

Calm & rejuvenated stay

This is an amazing hotel. No traffic noise still So close to all attractions. The bedding is of superior quality which is very comfortable to sleep. Wifi was in the range of 8-9.2 Mbps and breakfast was delicious. This place has very different energy it was so calming and rejuvenating

The room was nice and spacious, but it didn’t make up for the location and the bad sound proof walls between rooms. The hotel is located across the street from the antigua cemetery, it is dificultades to find as this is located inside a gated community. There is no privacy whatsoever, you can hear literally people chewing food on the other room, the walls must be made of cardboard. The room next to the suite it’s a studio type room so families and big groups will take those rooms. You will all noise from this rooms, at you will hear people snorting and moving around the bed like they were next to your bed. The worse experiences I’ve ever had in antigua I should’ve read the reviews before booking.

just like the rest of the area is really pretty and green, to my taste it was too warm i hate the heat, So I need AC or at least a Fan, there was no water in the room, I had to walk out to the hallway to get me some water that by the way it was for sharing with the rest of the other clients, mosquitos everywhere (maybe cuz the heat) I had to cut my stay short... good luck.

Good place to stay in Antigua

Helpful staff, excellent breakfast service, comfortable beds, location very secure. Although a bit out of the way it wasn't too long a walk to the Central Park and other areas of Antigua. It is our second or third time to stay there and would do it again.

Great little, hidden hotel in Antigua!

Hotel Las Marias is a little out of the way, maybe a couple of blocks out of the main hotel area of Antigua, but not too much. We loved it! It was much quieter than most hotels we've stayed at in Antigua, very secure in a gated residential area, beautiful gardens and decorations inside, good wifi, a great breakfast, and we received good service from the service staff. We'll certainly check with them the next time we need a place to stay in Antigua.

The owner is very nice. I had mixed up my arrival dates and she was full when I arrived. She gave me breakfast and gave me a room as soon as one was available. They also ageed to store some of my luggage when I left for a few days. The hotel is a little far from the center. She was always pleasant and the breakfast was quite good.

Rooms are so small there is nowhere to put the bags except the floor. Other than that a good deal for the price. Not in the city center but then Antigua is not very big.

A peace of heaven!

After a long mini bus ride 15 hours from San Cristobal de las Casas Mexico, to Antigua, Las Marías was heaven. Tranquil, beautiful couldn't ask for more. We loved it!

Everything was really nice at the hotel. Maybe a little far from restaurants and groserías stores but very nice and clean hotel. The breakfast buffet its not a 100% buffet but it was very good breakfast. I'd back again.

Sleeping here feels like traveling back in time and spending a night in colonial Guatemala (but with modern facilities).
