Definitely recommend for a short break

We had executive suite with balcony. Sons had deluxe suite. Both very good standard. Whole hotel was exceptionally warm and we couldn't get the rooms any cooler. Well stocked minibar in both rooms. Lovely breakfast. Friendly service. Perfectly located on a wide pedestrianised avenue.

Excellent location minutes from everything.

Not a 4-star, no style.

Beware, this is not a gracious old hotel, as is depicted on the websites. Maybe it used to be, but not anymore. The outside entry level is a narrow door in a line of stores. Inside, it’s like an average Marriott maybe, no real style. The bathroom amenities are stingy — watery body wash in a pump that doesn’t dispense enough of it, that kind of thing. No premium TV channels — buttons for Netflix and Amazon, but they don’t load, and a channel guide with “Keine information” (I think that’s German). Anyway, I wouldn’t call this a 4-star hotel, but it’s… OK.

Excellent place to stay

Excellent place to stay, right in the heart of the city. We stayed in roo. 317 which was very nice with a great 55 inch smart TV. All the reception staff were fantastic and very kind and helpful, especially Ugnas who booked us iin

Im not a liar!

My daughter rung the hotel to say I would be arriving a night late due to being in hospital longer than anticipated. The gentleman she apoke tonsaid she would need to email this information which she did. When I arrived at the hotel a day later, receptionist was exceptionally rude saying they weren't informed of any changes. I explained all of the above and she basically called me a liar. I hadnt asked for a refund but could see there wasnt a hope in hell of getting one either. However another receptionist I dealt with the following day was delightful and vwry helpful. Shame that one always spoils reviews x

Members of staff were fantastic especially Inga who was the manager and took a genuine interest in us as guests and tourists to Kaunas. She provided help in where to go in Kaunas which places were close and was just the kind of information we needed for our stay. I cannot praise her enough and wished that all hotels had an Inga.

I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Kaunas. The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, with everything I needed for a relaxing visit. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore. The staff was friendly and accommodating, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Room was fine. Convenient location. Clean. But parking is a challenge, especially if you’re new to the city. Luckily a nearby hotel was able to accommodate our vehicle.

Great place to stay

Hotel Kaunas was a great place to stay. An amazing location on a tree lined boulevard. The breakfast was great and staff were very helpful. We checked in at about 2 am and the night porter was very welcoming and informative. That set the tone for a great visit.

Best hotel

One of the best hotels I have stayed in in the Baltics. Lovely room. Breakfast wasn’t the usual bland cold buffet but some nice local Delicacies. The hot food looked ok too. It’s in a brilliant location on a long boulevard like the Ramblas or Champs Elysees of they weren’t crap. Also, smart TVs in the rooms, a European hotel that’s moved into the 21st century.

Ordinary room

We stayed in this hotel for 4 days. Ordinary room with the breakfast included and the view into car park. No tea/coffee facility in the room, but on request you can get a kettle. Room cleaned only on your request. Big TV on the wall and air conditioner with remote control in the room. Hotel location is perfect- in the middle of Laisves aleja with so many restaurants, bars, shops around and 10 minutes away big shopping mall Akropolis where you can find cinema with the latest movies in English and lots of restaurants and shops. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

Fabulous breakfast

Excellent hotel with very friendly staff and onsite parking. Great room and the best breakfast of the trip so far. The hotel is in the new town with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. About a 15-20 minute flat walk to Old Town.

Good service

Good service and thanks for being accommodating. It was way too humid in the hotel though with no air conditioning in the halls. The bath water also came out yellow so I couldn't sit in the tub. Which means the tap water was unsafe for drinking also.

Ideally located hotel to many Kaunas attractions

Great location on beautiful walkable street close to restaurants and stores. Lovely Old Town area is just a short walk away. Enjoyed my stay.

Nice hotel but restaurant and bar was shut.

We stayed on 16th-23rd April 2023 technically for my husbands knee op and the staff were very accommodating for putting his ice packs on the freezer. Ask for a kettle at reception along with the air con remote! Excellent breakfast selection, Continental, local & UK offerings. Lovely spacious room, huge bed, gorgeous bathroom with amazing shower overlooking a 2 mile pedestrianised tree lined area (which is lit up at night, so pretty & romantic) with pastry shops, excellent eateries, theatres, cultural centres, designer clothes shops, supermarkets, chemists shoe & bag shops,...cosmopoliton feel, loads of scooter riders, bikes, skateboarders. The twice yearly market that was on this week (by chance for us) was absolutely amazing, we bought & ate so much! Would definitely recommend this hotel, in this location!

Location, staff are very good

We had booked a three night stay, the staff were extremely helpful and arranged a taxi for us from the airport. Efficient check in, lots of information given regarding the local area and where to visit that may be of interest. We used the dining room on one night and had a delicious meal, the restaurant staff were friendly and we would highly recommend their food which was very good value for money. The breakfast had lots of choice of hot and cold food and drinks, it is a help yourself buffet service which was kept refreshed. The hotel was in a great area, highly recommended.

Hotel was so central was spotless. Breakfast was good lots of choices. Staff we very very helpful organized lifts to and from the airport. Would definitely recommend.

The property was fine for what we wanted in location. Breakfast was good, room was fine. Just one minor thing, charging 5 euros for an extra pillow. I was in Kaunas for surgery, and part of recovery was sleeping with a pillow between my knees. Putting the surgery aside i have never been charged for asking for an extra pillow in all the hotels across the world i have stayed in.

Great hotel, the room had everything you needed. Comfey bed and pillows, shower was good too. Great location for the shops and to stroll into the old town. Reception staff were very helpful with organising taxis for us. Would recommend.

Great location, perfect rooms with super comfortable beds. Would of loved to of used the pool/sauna but these were not open.

It was OK, bedrooms were very clean and comfy, however the pictures show modern rooms and we were in a room which hadn't been modernised. We felt the service from the front desk and breakfast staff was poor, no greetings, no hello good morning, generally bad communication. Breakfast was pretty poor. Cake was still frozen in the middle, fruit was going bad for example. Generally a nice hotel but not up to the 4 star standard. We did get a great service from the site manager who deals with parking though, he deserves an acknowledgement

The hotel is lovely. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The selection for breakfast was very good and lovely food. Our room was very spacious and a very comfortable bed. The location of the hotel is ideal everything is very close by.

Wow...the room i had was absolutely stunning. It was newly refurbished and everything was brand new...so i cant fault it! The hotel itself was very clean and location was brilliant...10 mins walk to the shopping mall and the hotel is right in the middle of the centre!

Great hotel in the city center of Kaunas. Room was clean and comfort with nice balcony and view to the main street.

Stayed at this hotel 31/01/20 -03/02/20. Rooms spotless good size and staff very polite, helpful and friendly. Good choice of food for breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

We arrived and they had cancelled our reservation without notice. Plus the woman at the front desk was quite rude. We had to check into another hotel. Firs time this ever happens to me in years traveling with Expedia

Wonderful, comfortable hotel in a great location, with helpful smiling staff. I had a panorama window in my room which was great. The pool, sauns and gym were an excellent bonus. More choices for breakfast than i could imagine. I took advantage of the discount in the restaurant although the food was already reasonably priced and of very high standard. Parking was on site too. Excellent value for money. Second time visitor, and i will be back!

The Coldest hotel in the Baltic region, woke up one night and was so cold, thoufht i seen a penguin bottim of my bed

The room decor looked very tired, carpet was in terrible condition. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the same every day but included a nice selection to choose from and was enough to fill for the day.

Received really nice service at check-in. Staff warm and friendly (not common in Lithuania). Received a room upgrade to a spacious, well-designed room in the newly renovated B block. The bed was really comfortable. Used the gym which was probably the best equipped hotel gym I've seen. Housekeeping friendly too. Only downside is lack of parking spaces for the number of guests and average food at breakfast but I really recommend this hotel. Great location too. I enjoyed my stay here more than the five star Hotel Pacai in Vilnius. The street paving in front of the hotel has now been completed so don't worry about construction noise.

Great choice for Kaunas at good price

Really comfortable hotel in great location. Unfortunately the pedestrianised street outside was being dug up and repaved when we visited (May 2019), which spoilt the view a bit, and meant we couldn't sit on restaurant terrace as shown in all the pix on the web. However, everything else was really good. The room was huge, newly refurbished and spotless; and breakfast choice and quality was terrific.
