It wasn’t a good experience. One of the front guest was very rude to start with, room didn’t have complimentary water bottles, no free breakfast, TV wasn’t working even after several calls, no lift, had to pay for AC room at the front desk ( thought that I booked a room with AC), no parking, the towels weren’t fresh and dogs were barking all thru the night and we couldn’t sleep. The list goes on. In the same trip, I stayed in Delhi and Agra and rooms were very good for the same price…
Worst
It was ok
Great hotel: would stay there again in a hearbeat
Fantastic little hotel tucked away on a nice residential street, along with houses and two other hotels. Close to the train station (although maybe not quite walking distance) and a five-minute walk from the Hathroi Gadi Fort, which is now a shrine. My room was small but comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is filled with artwork personally chosen by the owner, whom I had the pleasure of meeting. Best of all, they have a great rooftop restaurant which is open all day and provides 360 degree with good, inexpensive food. The best place to start the day or relax at the end of it!
The hotel was beautiful and and clean, we were given an extra room for free and the staff were very helpful. It is tourist friendly and the rooftop restaurant offers such a wide variety of food. Wifi is good but a bit slow. Overall, really well kept and we slept very well :)
Very poor room service
We were for two nights with family
Good service and pick up facility But position not so good and food facility is good but cost too high.
Adequate room. Don’t expect service with a smile.
Adequate room. Staff could improve their customer service skills. It doesn’t take much effort to say hello to guests on arrival or open the door for someone who is struggling with luggage. Roof top restaurant is ideal place for breakfast. Food is ok.
Comfortable , Secure & with easy access
Friendly and supportive staff. I came early and they provided me with a resting room till my own room was ready. I stayed seven days in a quiet room. The owner was a very nice lady Vineeta and she said she was running the family owned business by herself with her son for the last ten years. Location was good and within short tuktuk rides of most places.
Nice outside nice rooftop. Rooms very dated no window small room. Our room was opposite to the lift and next to staff hotel toilets and underneath the restaurant. So a very noisy room the whole day and night. We wouldn't stay again.
Quiet and clean room
Hotel room was located in the first floor. The room was clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had pizza in the rooftop restaurant and it was tasty. Not the best, but still good. There are some restaurants and cafes nearby, so it's easy to find a place to eat outside the hotel as well. They have wifi, but it had some connectivity problems when I was in a middle of Skype call. I would stay here again but only for night or two. For longer stay I would book a more cozy hotel.
Inappropriate behavior
Inappropriate behavior of the call attendee, unbelievably unhelpful unpleasant behavior, no liabilities of any standard, very inhumane and disturbing statements.
Great Jaipur hotel with beautiful rooftop
Really nice hotel in a good location tucked off a main street alongside a few other guest houses. A long walk or short tuk tuk to pink city. Hotel looks like the photos, clean, well priced and has a beautiful rooftop with pretty good food. The owner is lovely and makes an effort to get to know the guests. Would definitely recommend this place.
Nice hotel close to all imp places
Hotel was just as shown in pictures. Exactly the same. So no surprises. Just that i would have preferred even a lil more bigger room than the standard family room as the space was a lil less than usual
Nice hotel close to Jaipur railway station.
Over all experience is good. Room was clean and service was quick and good.
My Stay in Jaipur
People were very friendly but somehow slow
Good, quite and very clean hotel. Reasonable price. There is indoor and rooftop restaurant and the food is really good. Hotel offers Jaipur tour for reasonable price.
Clean, Friendly staff, Spacious rooms, Top notch
Lovely rooms, clean and friendly atmosphere. Excellent location very close to railway station and also got the pickup service. The room was clean.
Excellent stay , centrally located ,spacious hotel
As a solo girl traveler , hotel kalyan was an excellent choice for stay. The rooms were clean and spacious . the staff was friendly and polite. Hotel was clean and decor was good.
Excellent hotel located in centre of pinckty
Hotel is decorated beautifully and located in centre of pinkcity. The rooms are beautiful and top notch. The bathrooms are clean and spacious too. The staff is excellent and friendly.
Excellent hotel located centrally,beautiful room
I was firstly very confused while deciding a place to stay, then i saw hotel Kalyan and I was glad that I did. The rooms are top notch, with traditional styled decor and quiet rooms. The bathrooms are also very clean and spacious. The wifi is a big plus as it is high speed. We did not expected this service in budget category. The staff is always ready to help us with a smile and is really polite. We would be coming soon to jaipur and will definitely chose this place again. Also they provided me free pickup service even at midnight.
They cancelled my booking for their own profit .
Please don't book this hotel online from any website. They denied my booking showing lame excuses that my visa card details are invalid which I carried with me and shown to them but having no effect, these all for their own profit and interest and diverted us to another below category hotel. I had to shift with my family and luggage instead of confirmed booking in Oct'16 for their own customers who may pay at higher rate. They are very good business man. What was my fault can Expedia or Kalyan tell me. May I get any compensation from Expedia or Kalyan the way they harassed me who went to Rajasthan from West Bengal for tour purpose. Immediately black list this hotel from online booking web sites. Very shocking experience at Jaipur Rajasthan.
horrible experience. the reception very rude .
no manners. they increase price to demand. no value for money. dont take tour from hotel. go outside. they alway want tips for everything. shameless
Worst ever.
Convinient
The staying was great experience with good quality of Indian food and room service was good as well, only issue was rooms were little conjusted & cleaniness is something needs to improve a bit.
Very reasonably priced but not for longg stays.
We just had to spend a few hours and it was decent for that .
O k
Location is nearer to railway station n bus station and it is ok for everything
very bad experience
when we booked the hotel, we clearly mentioned that we need a non-smoking room. when we arrived we were given a smoking room. when I asked th hem about it, they told me to just open the windows and in few minutes the smell will go away (?). when I insisted that I have a child and *need* a non-smoking room, they gave me a different room and that didn't have any smell. But, soon found out that there was an ash tray kept in that room! so, they don't have any non-smoking rooms is what I concluded. Their hallway also smelled with cigarette smoke few times during our stay. Their hallways are narrow and also had very dim lights and you get a feeling if it is a decent hotel. Food in their restaurant was not at all good and we had to wait for 20mts for someone to come and take the order when no other customers were there in the restaurant at the time when we went. We were lucky that the restaurant in the hotel (Pearl palace) across the street had excellent food and we dined there every night. Overall, even though their price seems cheaper, I definitely won't recommend any people with kids to go there. Instead for rs.100-200 more per night, you can find much better hotels nearby in walking distance where you will feel more peaceful.
Hostel feel
We wanted to experience privately owned hotels while in India. All rated high on Trip Advisor and were quite enjoyable except for this hotel. This hotel had hostel signs everywhere. The room was filthy, had not been cleaned. It also did not feel safe to be there. There was no toliet paper, shampoo, hand soap, even no sheets on the bed. We asked for a room change and were denied - until a young man who worked there managed to get us a new room. We booked for two nights but only stayed the one night. We would not recommend and are surprised at the Trip Advisor ratings on this hotel.
Clean budget hotel
Stayed in Hotel Kalyan in the days running up to Christmas 2015. The hotel is in a great location, clean and the staff are very pleasant. One downside is the noise, our room was right next door to the kitchen and we were often woken up by the chatter and noise from here. The hotel offers wifi but it is quite limited in rooms. The rooftop restaurant has excellent views and offers a good range of food and drink items. Overall I would recommend this hotel.
budget hotel
pleasant experience except the fact that i was told the day after check in that outside food or drink were not allowed and also please note there are Veg only restaurants in this hotel. Hotel staff refuse to give plates when asked for in room.
Friendly Staff
Hotel staff were friendly and helpful when needed, We experienced bed bugs in one of our rooms staff immediately changed our room.
Nice hotel, near to many places
The driver who provide the transportation services is the worst, if you can walk just a few streets do it, he chargues to much and not at all customer services.
nice rooftop
the hotel condition wasn't so great, the hallway to our room was very dark and the dull lights looked like they were going to fall out of the roof any minute. the room was decent. we were annoyed at the early morning construction work being done in the building, woke us up each time and interrupted our sleep. we met the owner and her children, very nice people, gave us complementary food and engaged in long conversation about our travels. the rooftop was amazing, definite highlight of the hotel!
Lovely place to stay in Jaipur
This was the best place I stayed in India. My room was on the top floor so I was able to walk out of my room and be right on the roof which had a lovely restaurant. The staff was very friendly, the food was great and the owner stopped to chat with me everyday. The only negative was the tuk tuk drivers outside the hotel. The drivers were very pushy and always working an angle
Remember that this is a budget hotel
If you keep in mind that this is a budget hotel - then everything was adequate. The website said that amenities such as slippers, etc were included, and not that I care about slippers, but it's an indicator of quality. Not only were there no slippers, the room did not come with soap, shampoo, and even though there was supposedly housekeeping service, the room looked no different than when I left it. The A/C was barely functional.
best experience
The hotel u should stay in
Good localisation, room clean and good.
good hotel. Well located, a restaurant on the roof top very pleasant.
Great option in Jaipur
The hotel is very nice, with many features you would expect at a more expensive hotel. The rooftop is very nice and the food was good too. It was a relaxing place to be with good staff and service. The location is a bit of a walk from the center of town, but there was nowhere in Jaipur that seemed much better of an area to stay in.
Nice place in Jaipur
We stayed at Hotel Kalyan for 3 nights when visiting Jaipur. Nice rooftop area and restaurant! (although vegetarian so we had some of meals at the rooftop of hotel across street) Very nice and helpful staff and owners as well. We arrived late at night, and given a pretty basic room, not what we booked. Talking to night manager he was not too helpful, said room we booked 'might' be available next day. But talking to management next day we got moved and the room met our needs quite nicely. (depending on your style, would recommend paying a little more to get the better room)
Great Rooms,Clean Bathrooms,Welcoming Staff
Stayed here four nights and was absolutely delighted to stay more as of the quality and cleanliness of the hotel. The service was first class, the staff spoke good english, they were able to understand everything. The Free WiFi was fantastic as it was really high speed.Comparing the other hotels i have stayed in the world in this price,i would definitely suggest Kalyan. It provides clean rooms,a great rooftop restaurant which is nicely decorated, clean bedsheets.clean towels and really clean and modernly equipped bathrooms. The managers welcomed us with a smile, gave a free city map, even told us about the city which was really of a great help. The staff was professional and friendly though. The service provided by them are verge.WiFi,Generator,so clean everything. Don't forget to see the 360 degree view of the whole pinkcity Jaipur and also try the yummy delicious food served at their beautifully decorated rooftop restaurant.
Perfect Hotel,Great Location,Beautiful Rooftop :)
We Stayed at Hotel Kalyan after a super bad experience at Varanasi hotel.Hotel Kalyan was just amazing, simple, well decorated and had all those amenities which we demanded.Being a budget class hotel,it had all the essentials of a luxury driven hotel.Location was one of the most plus points of Kalyan.Situated at a distance of only 1 km from Railway Station and Bus Stand it is really highly accessible. The rooms are incredibly clean, offers clean bedsheets tops and sleepers with a clean linen, towel and a hairdryer. The bathrooms was also in a decorated style as it had all the facilities of one of higher hotels. It was clean, had beautiful new tiles, western toilets, high pressured shower providing 24 hours hot & cold running water. At times, when there were power cuts in Jaipur (often) we didn't have to worry as they have a big generator for power backup. The rooms supported TV,telephone and free WiFi service. The rooftop restaurant at the hotel was another big plus at Hotel Kalyan. The roof was fantastically decorated in a rajasthani style by the owner's family. It was kind a homely place as it was owned and managed by a beautiful family.A big plus point was the beautiful 360 degree view of the pinkcity from rooftop of hotel. We were well cared by their super friendly helpful staff whi even went out of their way for helping us.The manager also gave us a map explaining us about the city.Do not forget to try some nice pakora (a traditional rajasthani starter).Hotel Kalyan is Highly Recommended
Nasty
We booked and paid for two nights but checked out after one! The room was dark, dirty and smelly. It smelled of stale urine. There were no top sheets on the beds and the communal areas of the hotel smelled very stronly of diesel oil for some strange reason.
Amazing Staff,Beautiful Rooftop,Amazing Rooms,Book
We were highly satisfied with kalyan hotel. They provided us beautiful clean rooms, immaculately clean bathrooms, great beautiful fantastic rooftop terrace and most importantly homely atmosphere with a nice, professional, friendly staff which helped us a lot.The managers were king enough to guide us all the way to the city. The location was central,1 km from bus stand and railways.Very easy to get anywhere, plenty of took took available outside the hotel. The quality of service was just amazing, highly trained and truly professional. The beds and the gallerias were amazingly clean. The decoration at the place were just fantastic designed keeping in mind the Indian and Rajatshani culture. They were even kind enough to provide us with free pickup. The WiFi here was excellent, high speed and the best in India, giving away a speed of 8 Mbps..more than my home and office. When the power got out, there wa generator.. amazed is this a 2 star hotel or 5 star. Best Budget hotel in India. We would definitely come back again.Highly recommended for all.
Just The best in Everything.Top Choice.Recommended
Every budget hotel in India must see how it works at kalyan. The hotel has really nice staff, which is friendly, professional, ready to work at all times. We had one of the best experiences in India at this beautiful lovely heritage well maintained hotel. We really liked the atmosphere too. The rooms were clean, had nice bathrooms, lovely decorated in Heritage style and also had great running Free WiFi. Really great place. Immaculately clean. One thing different and most preferred by us is the beautiful rooftop at this place. The restaurant is nicely decorated and also has a great Look and feel added to it.We really liked the food served here. We loved the view from the rooftop of the whole city. No problems at kalyan, lovely decorated rooms, clean bathrooms, friendly working professional staff, what a traveller wants more? Highly loved staying here. Highly recommended everyone to stay here. Top Choice in Jaipur
Just okay for budget stay
The stay at this hotel, in a budget room, was just about okay. It's not very spacious. The service is rather prompt, but the hotel administration didn't seem very welcoming, having booked our stay through Expedia. Did not get any support for booking our RTDC bus ticket. The staff was supportive in reaching a hospital early in the morning, though. Most importantly, rates of (few of the key) food served in the hotel restaurant are exorbitantly priced, enough to squeeze you out with no easy options nearby. For two adults, it may cost approximately minimum of Rs. 400-500 (lunch/dinner) and Rs. 300-350. A glass of milk would cost Rs 35 and a plain chappati is for Rs. 16!
Central location,excellent service,Book it..!
We just booked this hotel online despite the great reviews and we were really lucky we did as it was really near to railway station and it also offered free pick up service which was also really efficient. Upon reaching,we saw the rooms which were just amazing, bathrooms clean, clean sheet, and linens provided really great. We were just made more comfortable by the efficient and working staff who always just cared for us all the time. We also like the rooftop of that hotel which was just very very cute and offered GREAT VIEW of the city and also great food comparing to be in India. We were just all the way satisfied with this hotel, the location, the rooms, the cleanliness, the rooms and just everything was amazing. Highly recommended to be here ,so cheap with high quality. We would suggest every traveler to reach this beautiful cute hotel.
Good Hotel With an Excellent Rooftop
We stayed here for around two days and it was really good for the price. We liked the beautiful decorations, lightings, the rajasthani decor which really looked lovely. The WiFi which was free worked really well. The room was beautifully decorated with a nice ambience and bathrooms were really clean and beautiful. The lightings which they had put in their gallary are really cool and colourful. I think it is the best option in such a low price. These hotels really depict a great character and are a diamond for India. We would definitely recommend this hotel to all. Thanks for making my stay so great at Jaipur. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Clean and comfortable
Kalyan gave us nice room, which was nicely decorated and was really very clean. The bathrooms were clean and good too and were recently renovated. The location of this hotel was really excellent ,near to all major sight and had a good connectivity with the city. The food was tasty. The rooftop was nicely decorated and was full of character. The lights gave a nice atmoshere to it. Really the best hotel in this budget. Full hotel was decorated nicely in a rajathani way. Would Definitely recommend Kalyan to have a nice stay in Jaipur

Absurd behaviour and Not recommended to any family
This was quite frustrating and unprofessional experience as u reached to hotel, the receptionist clearly said that they do not hold booking for online without any prior payment. Since it is swain time they will book through counter only or advance payment booking. I was forced to book hotel at higher rates of 6.5k on counter with compromised rooms availability. Seeing their attitude, it was looking fishy behaviour so I’d decided to go for other option. This was frustrating to see that family is waiting outside & I had to request them again and again to re-loook in my booking. In spite of
