Just ok

Close to train station and bus terminal. Not to far from city historic center. Breakfast is good but always the same. Room is small and not xcean daily unless asked.

Away from noisy centre

Situated about 1 km from the main pedestrian centre, this hotel is located in a quieter area. There is not really much of interest in the local area, so I would advise hiring a car or better still a bicycle if staying more than a couple of days. Maybe the hotel could facilitate bicycle hire?!

Tiny room but clean and comfortable bed :)

There are actually two hotels (3 and 4 stars) with one reception. Friendly staff at reception desk. Late check-in possible without any fuss :) Our standard room was tiny but enough for one night stay. Bathroom spacious and well equipped.

My stay in Gyor

they have 3 sections. 3 star, 4 star and not sure what the third one is. I stayed in the 3 star the first night. Clean. Great shower pressure. But old. Next night for $20 more stayed in 4 star. Much nicer and newer but poor shower pressure. I would have given the 4 star a 5 star rating but for the water pressure. However, there was another section and i glimpsed into the room and it was much better than the 4 star. if i was to stay a third night or go back i would stay there for just $10 more. The Free breakfast was about an 8 out of 10.

Hotel Kalvaria Gyor

Nice comfortable quiet hotel with enclosed parking. Friendly staff. The downside is that it is not walking distance from City Center and no restaurants or bars in the neighborhood

Very convenient location, good size room with mini bar and refrigerator. Parking big and safe. Helpful front desk stuff. Spacious and clean bathroom. Comfortable bed.

Decent place to stay

Decent hotel. Two parts to the hotel, one is 3star and the other 4 star but to be honest not much difference in the rooms. Good restaurant.

Nice place, especially just for 1 night....

It was a nice hotel, great location, within walking distance of downtown. Just the street light at night shined through right where are heads were and you could not close the main curtains. Had to block it with pillows stacked on the window sill. Great breakfast, safe parking lot. Overall nice place to stay.

Excellent hotel close to old town. Relax at spa.

Great hotel with affordable prices. Near railroad station and also plenty of parking inside the courtyard. Nice breakfast to start the morning and a great spa and and bar complex to relax in the evening. Well suited for business travelers with amenitities also enjoyed by us tourists. It is close to the old town but separated by the railroadstation. This was originally of concern to me until we found a nice tour through a family nrighborhood. We really liked Gyor and the hotel and friendly staff were part of it.

Amazing dinners!

Room was very quiet and comfortable. And the restaurant provides gourmet meals in the evenings . . . . excellent. Breakfast is standard European breakfast with special. Internet connection was marginal and very sporadic in the hotel room, but good in the lobby and restaurant

Hôtel propre. Personnel très agréable et disponible. Parking payant mais sécurisé et spacieux. Réception ouverte 24h/24h et le personnel de la réception parle anglais. Le centre-ville est à 15min à pied.

Gute Lage in der Stadt

Old fashioned

A very oldfashioned hotel. That Can in certain ways be charming, but not in this case. The 3 star Roms We Stayed in had several small errors, like doorknobs falling out etc. There was a very small spa and fitness room, but it all was like being back to the 90’s. The hotel is placed at bit from the town center, the thing We liked the most was the very Nice public playground next to the hotel.

L' hotel est agréable, mais pas trop a l' écoute, j'ai signalé que le frigo de la chambre ne fonctionnait pas, ils ont mis 10 jours pour le changer. Le ménage de la chambre à été fait 1 fois en 14 jours

The hotel is reasonably functional. The food served at the restaurant was truly amazing and the staff were very friendly and attentive. However, this is the only positive thing to be remarked upon in this regard. We booked two rooms and in one of them (15) we were utterly shocked to find out that the windows wouldn’t open. The air conditioner didn’t work properly either. There are no lifts in the entire building, therefore we needed to carry our own luggage to the rooms through the stairs. The overall quality of this hotel is clearly low.

Solo pasamos una noche, pero el hotel nos parecio un buen lugar. Limpio, camas comodas, baño bien, wifi bien, desayuno bien, personal bien, buen parking y buen precio. No se le pueden poner muchos peros. Lo recomiendo.

Erwartungen übertroffen

Ich weiß nicht, ob sich im Laufe der letzten Zeit einiges verändert hat, aber manche Kritiken kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Das Personal ist rundum sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist keines eines Sternerestaurants, aber die Auswahl ist gut und ausreichend, gerade auch mit frischem Obst und Gemüse. Die Zimmer sind absolut sauber, einuiger kleiner Schwachpunkt ist die Lage: Durch den Verkehrslärm kommen Langschläfer bestimmt nicht auf ihre Kosten. Dennoch werden wir bei einem weiteren Besuch in Györ wieder hier buchen, dann evtl. auch im 4-Sterne-Trakt. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis jedenfalls ist hervorragend! Obwohl Ungarn inzwischen preislich in vielen Bereichen durchaus mitteleuropäisches Niveau erreicht hat, ist ein solches Hotel in Deutschland immer noch deutlich teurer.

het duurt behoorlijk lang voordat je warm water uit de kraan krijgt. Ontbijt is goed; kamer schoon. De in het hotel aanwezige saunalandschap is een voordeel.

Eine Nacht bei der Durchreise. Ankunft um 19:45 und gerade noch so etwas zu essen bekommen. Geschmacklich sehr gut und günstig für deutsche Verhältnisse.

wir waren auf der durchreise, wollten nach budapest um dann mit einer größeren gruppe eine ungarn Rundreise zu machen,. das hotel war zufriedenstellend.

Verkehrsgünstiges Hotel an großer Ausfallstraße

Das Hotel ist an einer großen Ausfallstraße gelegen, was in den straßenseitig gelegenen Zimmern auch deutlich zu hören ist. Es gibt eine ausreichende Zahl bewachter Parkplätze. In die Innenstadt ist es gut zwanzig Minuten zu Fuß, da das Hotel von der Stadtmitte durch eine Bahntrasse und den Bahnhof getrennt liegt. Es gibt keine Restaurants in der Nähe, so dass man auf das Hotelrestaurant angewiesen ist. Es gibt keinen Fahrstuhl im Nebengebäude, so dass man gezwungen ist, das Gepäck bis in den zweiten Stock über eine eher steile Treppe zu transportieren.

Komfortables Hotel in Zentrumsnähe, leider laut

Das Hotel ist sauber und gepflegt, die Zimmer sind komfortabel und modern eingerichtet. Leider liegt das Hotel an einer Verkehrskreuzung, so dass der Lärm selbst bei Fenstern zum Hof erheblich ist. Das Zimmer war extrem warm, scheint also schlecht isoliert zu sein, so dass bereits die frühe Maisonne die Räume erheblich aufheizt. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht richtig. Das Parken auf dem Hof ist komfortabel und das Frühstück war in Ordnung, auch wenn sehr sparsam nachgelegt wurde.
