Great accommodation, few min to city centre- definitely recommend!

Basic clean hotel with a continental breakfast with nice variety. Room contained all basic needs but pillows were sparse. Check in was difficult as the staff wasn’t there (indicated in email they’d be there till 10:00pm but weren’t). Key combo provided was for an empty box and emergency contact number was not working.

Comfortable room with parking and within walking distance to all main sites. Staff helpful and responsive.

A very pleasant stay with ample breakfast, lovely staff and easy walking to the centre of Salzburg. Parking was €15 per night. The only downside for us was that our room was located in the eaves and the sloping ceiling made it feel very small. However we would definitely stay again, but maybe next time would pay extra for a non-eaves room.

This property, while being fairly inexpensive, is quite nice! The staff were helpful and friendly and its only about a 5-10 min walk from downtown area. Parking is easy to find on the street and the building is clean!

when it is written that the hotel has parking, it means the guest automatically gets a place for the car. when we arrived we were told that there were no places and there wouldn’t be any. And that parking must be reserved in advance. We encountered such a situation for the first time in many years of our travels

Very nice room, quiet place, in a safe area. The staff is very nice and very helpful. I walked everywhere in Salzburg even though there is public transportation everywhere. Close to everything.

Prague stay

We were in a garden room. It was pleasant, with a nice view. It was a good location from the station and to walk into town for sight seeing

It was unusually very warm in Salzburg and the air conditioning for the entire building was not working during our stay. We woke up to bugs crawling all over our bed and the entire bedroom flooded after taking one shower. The front desk staff is extremely rude and refused to accommodate us. We only stayed one night as we were forced to find another hotel for the duration of our trip to Salzburg. I would not recommend this hotel.

Rude staff

The mid-aged lady at the front desk gave us a single room even though we booked a double room, but other than that, the staff of pretty friendly, the hotel is clean and nice, breakfast is good

Go somewhere else

Yeah, I stayed here only because there's a photo of a giant parking lot in front of the hotel. I got to the hotel, and there's no parking, it's full. I guess you have to make some sort of reservation, which who knew. It's not in the city center so this seems crazy. They literally tape people's names on parking places. So, I spent an hour of my life trying figure out the stupid street parking. It actually ruined my whole day and was a giant hassle. These people don't seem to care and did nothing to accommodate me. Don't stay here, go somewhere near downtown. It's chill and relaxed as far I saw, parking wise. The room is nothing special and these muppets leave the hotel at 8 p.m. literally there's no one here. Whatever, I should've stayed somewhere else, and you should as well.

Nice hotel. Nice and helpful staff. We stayed on top floor which was newly renovated.

Excellent stay! The staff was so amazing and went out of their way to help. There are a lot of shops and restaurants near by. Grocery store is also 2 min walk away.

This property was beautiful and located at a 15 min distance from the train station.

The hotel was located within easy walking distance of shops, restauraunts and public transport access. Staff were all pleasant/friendly and the room was clean, but as the air conditioning had not yet been installed fully it got quite hot in the room, even at night - we might not be used to hotter weather being from the UK but given it was 30 degrees that week, having the option would have been welcome after being in the sun every day, especially as the road outside could be noisy but we had to leave the windows open for cooler air to get in. Breakfast had a decent selection each day, just make sure to get there early enough to avoid busy times/lack of seating indoors. Overall a good stay - just having a cooler room would have meant a much better night's sleep!

comfortable stay

Hotel was undergoing renovations so there was a section near our room that was like a construction site. Staff were nice and friendly. There were some steps going up and down near the reception which was annoying as we had luggage and a pram to lift up and down on our own

Hard to beat

Walking distance to everywhere, Quiet, comfortable, nice kitchen, balcony deck, bathtub, and very clean and tidy. /Good restaurants nearby, grocery stores, a great microbrewery, and being on the second floor it is vey private even though it is right in the city.

Very close to old town and breakfast very good. Shower was tricky ran out of soap and Kleenex. Good instructions for great eating place

Nice hotel,, 10 mins walk from mirabel gardens

Nice hotel, Just on outskirts , but close to bars and restaurants, within easy walking distance of town, and also close to tram route if needed, with parking( only a few places, so I reserved a space and paid€15 per night: well worth it.) There were building works going on adjacent, but we were aware of that when we booked, it did not affect our enjoyment of the hotel, particularly as we were out of the hotel for most of the working day.

The building was under construction so noise started very early. Amenities were minimum.

Cold water would be nice. There was a bug on the bed. Otherwise content.

Bring a vacuum cleaner if you plan on staying here

Stains on the sheets. Cobwebs in the corner. Dead insects on the window sill. A layer of dust covering everything. Mold growing on the shower head. Five minutes after arriving we were severely regretting that we made a non-refundable booking for 3 nights. When we complained about the condition of the room, the manager said they would ask the cleaner to pay more attention to our room, and asked for a list of what we wanted cleaned -- apparently "everything" wasn't specific enough. No apology; just "what did you want done differently?" Breakfast was mediocre but at least fresher than the room. The one bright spot was the wifi, which worked perfectly.

The staff was quite helpful. The hotel was a good distance for walking to the town and close enough to a bus stop. Breakfast was great. They provided fans on the very hot time that we visited. I would visit again.

Great service, clean place and homely

Great customer service especially the lady who is at the front desk for the afternoon shift until 10pm. Very clean and homely. I would stay there again and recommend to friends if they are visiting Salzburg.

A nice, clean, comfortable European hotel

We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel this April. It is within walking distance from the central station and Mirabelplatz. We took a tram from station to come to this hotel but while leaving walked to station. It is a very nice and clean, european abode in a peaceful locality. Rooms are big enough and very very clean.Front desk was very helpful. We reached around 11 o clock in the morning and they kept our room ready for check in. Front desk always helped us in guiding the directions with map. We have not take breakfast here. So can't comment. But there are nice restaurants in surrounding and in Mirabelplatz as well.There is a nice indian restaurant, Tajmahal, and they serve nice indian foods. Our overall stay in this hotel is a lovely experience and I cannot stop mentioning again the cleanliness of the property, rooms and toilet.Highly recommend for staying in this hotel in Salzburg.

Recommended

It was a pleasant change of environment after Vienna. The room and bathroom were definitely more spacious than regular hotels. Quiet. Peaceful. Went in winter so lack of air cond is not a problem. Walking distance to some restaurants/cafe. Public transport easily accessible to the Old & New Towns, if you don't feel like walking. Breakfast is pricey at Euro 15 per pax. Did not try so can't comment on the variety & quality. Friendly staff who recommended a couple of local restaurants.

Unfortunately our stay was overshadowed by a few negative experiences. However, there were positives. Close to a few good restaurants for dinner - less than 5 minutes walk. Large room. Large bottle of water and glasses provided. However, there is only one soap dispenser in the bathroom and that is next to the sink, meaning you must repeatedly open the shower door to get soap. This causes the bathroom floor to get wet. At breakfast we discovered very mouldy bread. When we informed staff, it was quickly replaced but there was no surprise or apology offered. It left the distinct impression that breakfast is set and then packed up each day and the refreshing of breakfast items occur when it is empty. This mouldy bread was not addressed with us on checkout. The hotel also reluctantly stored our luggage for us for a couple of hours after checkout. All other hotels in our three weeks in Europe have happily done this for us.

Parking was too expensive for street parking. Breakfast price too expensive.

Conveniently near to trolleybus route from airport, fairly convenient for town centre. Good breakfast in an interesting dining area - almost like visiting a private house. Comfortable beds, good bathroom.

Lovely wee hotel

Staff were very friendly and helpful, and did appear to genuinely want to enhance your stay in the city. Lots of really good restaurants nearby and the city centre is a fifteen minute stroll away. City is beautiful and people are so friendly.

Picturesque Salzburg

Hotel was quiet. Well located to walk from main station, for seeing all the major sights of Salzburg, and eating out. Would definitely go back.

Very helpful with helping us find laundry and purchasing thr Salzburg card, which was a great value.

Everything was fine especially the reception. It is welcoming place and totally fine if you don’t mi d walking a bit to get to the main sites.

No AC and too hot. Excellent location

Quiet hotel, beautifully decorated in the main reception and dining rooms, WiFi in room we had was temperamental and as it was very hot in Salzburg while we were there, it was very warm in the room with no aircon and only one standing fan. But those are minor things. I definitely would stay here again.

Our room was basically just a bed. Because the space in the room was poorly used there was no decent place to sit.

Never again!

Family room did not match pictures or description at all. No separate sitting area as in description and children had to eat on the bed. Hotel description says elevator, but had to walk up and down stairs to get in and out of room unassisted with baggage and baby pusher. Hidden and unexpected charges. Asked to speak to manager and they refused to speak to me. Room floor covered in dirt upon check in and holes in sheets. No fridges in rooms so hard for baby milk. Rooms stuffy and hot. Not very close to city centre. Wifi didn’t work at all. Would not recommend to anyone and wished we had never booked there. Have never reviewed a hotel before, but felt I needed to after this experience.

Location

Location was excellent as it was at a walking distance from all the attractions, restaurants, sites etc... Room was not what we expected. We should have let the administrators know. I guess we were offered a room that was left. This reservation was part of a trip that took us from Vienna , Salzburg, Venice, Genova and Milan We should have spent more on the room, as this was probably the most economical one The room was very clean and service was good. The staff a little bit timid. If you like a big comfortable room , reserve the more expensive ones , I’m sure you won’t regret it

Small hotel in a quiet area

I stayed in a standard single room, overlooking a lovely garden. The breakfast was not included in my booking, but it was available at 15 euros. The breakfast was excellent and included , fresh whole grain bread, cereal with milk or yogurt, different types of salami and cheeses, boiled eggs, fruit juices, fresh fruit, coffee, cappuccino, tea.

Close to the center Our rooms were in the ethic. No aircondition. It was too hot.

The room is ok. Just quite a bid of walk from the city centre. The elevator is modern.

Great staff and location. Bed was not very comfortable but the part I really didn’t appreciate was that the wifi never worked

Had a nice time in Salzburg, it's a very walkable city so even though the hotel was not in the center of town it wasn't an inconvenience at all. Comfortable bed and nice shower. The layout was a little weird but overall it was fine. We contacted them in advance for late check-in which worked out great.

Hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. Room is generally comfortable. WiFi needs to be improved. Although location a little off the main commercial area, it is still within walking distance and easily accessible with public transportation.

Nice local hotel, good service and quiet location

The hotel's location is in a local neighborhood away from the city center. You can walk it or take the #4 bus three stops away. The hotel is clean, services was good, and there was a breakfast that we did not use. The area is very quiet at night but so it most of Salzburg after a certain time. The reception is open from 7am-10pm. So make sure you contact them if you are arriving in Salzburg pass 10pm. There is no AC from what I can tell but there is a fan. Honestly, you don't need AC because the temp was in the 50 at night when we stayed here. The hotel actually has a bed and breakfast feel. So if you are looking for a hotel that has a local and secluded feel then this is your hotel.

Great location close to town and with parking

The location and rooms are awful and uncomfortable

It was an awful experience staying in this hotel especially having a room at the back of the hotel. The room was too hot, no air condition and windows are small to allow fresh air to affect the temperature of the room. The location was a bit far from the city center and no view whatsoever related to this hotel. It was a bad experience and definitely I will never book this hotel again

Lovely hotel to stay!

It was very nice hotel. The staffs were excellently nice and kind. It is a bit walk to get the center of the city but I enjoyed walking down and the city is not very big. I prefer to stay in that quiet area better . My friends and I both like the hotel and agreed we will stay again if we visit the city. The breakfast was good in the bright, clean lovely room.

We only slept here one night, but found the hotel to be very nice! The location is very close to the train station. We actually walked to Old Salzburg from here. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We arrived early, but our room was not ready, but the staff let us leave our luggage. The hotel staff did call us around noon to let us know our room was ready, but we were already on a tour.

Modern hotel close to old Salzburg

Modern hotel, reasonably spacious room, helpful staff. About 15 minutes walk to bridge into old Salzburg and 20 minutes walk from the train station. Several good restaurants within 10 minutes walk.

5-10 minutes walk to the old town, clean rooms, easy parking.

Nice hotel outside of the centre

The room at this hotel was quite small compared to the others we stayed in during our trip to Austria. The room was clean and more than sufficient. The breakfast was good (lots of choice). The hotel is outside the centre of Salzburg (about a 20 minute walk), but for those who do not mind walking, it could be a good option. We enjoyed the walk. There are quite a few good restaurants in the area, so you do not need to return to the centre to eat. All in all we had a good stay.

Stay at hotel jedermann

The overal experience was very good but there were some smaller things that could be improved. There was no air conditioning (to be fair the hotel was not advertised as having air conditioning) but there was a fan. The floor squeaked when walking on it.

Good value if walking is OK but book parking

A very useful hotel, if you don’t mind a walk into the old town – past a fairly cheap brewery/restaurant offering good food. It just about qualifies as “town centre” and is good value for Salzburg – we had a room in the garden annexe with an excellent modern bathroom. I strongly recommend reserving parking in advance (despite the blurb, nearly a half of the very restricted parking was already reserved). A sad reminder of the past are the stolpersteine – brass cobbles commemorating residents killed in the Holocaust – some from homes in the same road.

Fresh and modern

Loved this updated European hotel! Very clean and bright. Great beds. Professional English speaking staff. We had a family room for 2 adults and 2 kids. It was perfect for us. The breakfast buffet is fabulous. Nice easy walk to town.

No frills in Salzburg

The hotel is nice, rooms are very small and have no AC. During our stay the room was stuffy even with the windows open. Breakfast is a nice cold buffet with yogurt, cereal, dried fruit, cheese, meats and baked goods. I would stay there again since it is only about a 10 minute walk to Mirabellplatz and the bus terminal.

Nice hotel outside of town

Nice hotel. We had a suite that was huge. Nice amenties. Bed was a little hard. Parking available. Easy to drive to. It's a 15-20 minute walk into Old Town. Quiet area.

Average hotel

I would say average or okay hotel, but can not really recommend. Do note that no AC or fan, so room was too warm for sleeping. Opening window had dual issues of some mosquitoes and early outside breakfast noises as my room was overlooking the back courtyard.

Great hotel! Good parking, which was nice. It's a little off of the beaten path as far as the Touristy stuff goes, but good spot to stay.

The hotel which was clean and in good location. No fridge or tea making facilities and mattresses were saggy and almost hammock like. Parking 10 euro. Restaurants near were very good and the bus stop was just around the corner.

Convenient location

The hotel was clean, but small. It provided a nice place for us to stay while in Salzburg. They do have parking onsite, but you have to pay for it nightly. We enjoyed the convenience of accessing the city by walking and there was a nice Italian restaurant nearby.

Fantastic stay. Room was spotlessly clean and reception was friendly and helpful. So glad i stayed here and will definitely stay here again if I'm back in Salzburg. Thumbs up!

Classy New Town hotel with great breakfast!

Chose this hotel based on proximity to train station-- but it is at least a fifteen minute walk through a mixed use neighborhood. Nothing dodgy, just more working class than Old Town. Perhaps ask hotel to email a suggested walking route( there is a short cut). I was a solo woman traveler, so a safe location was important, especially since it was the end of September and darkness fell by 7:00PM. The walk to old town is an easy 15-20 minutes; however, after dark there is a short bit on Rupertgasse which made me a little uneasy, but overall a safe location. Hotel is small but has a nice decorator touch and a pretty garden view from the breakfast room. The New Town pedestrian area is about a brisk ten minute walk; there you will find good restaurants and shops. Ah yes, there is car parking.

Nice hotel for a good price. Cleaniness needs some improvement and the light was out in the bathroom. Other than this I had a nice stay. Close to downtown, 10 min walking.

Good hotel in good location.

Older hotel, but it's had some upgrading done however you can tell by the room design that it's an older building. Pretty good location, only 10 minute walk to city centre. Staff were helpful although reception only open between 7am and 10pm. Breakfast was expensive €12 per person for what is essentially a continental style breakfast. Small lounge which is operated on an honour system. Have some drinks and then pay for them later.

The hotel staff we're excellent but the room was was not quite clean when we arrived. The staff quickly tended to our needs.

Nice hotel but didn't like extra fees

When I arrived in Salzburg, it was night time so all I wanted was a hotel to stay the night and rest. Hotel Jedermann was a nice hotel and was quite comfortable, which was exactly what I needed. However, I was not happy that a day after my stay I was charged another extra $40. There was no point in my stay where they told me I would have any extra charges other than the initial fee I paid upfront. My only thought is that they charged me to hold my bags after check out? If so, that is something they need to say because they didn't even securely hold them- they just had them sitting in the lobby. There were other hotels closer to the city center that would have been more worth it.

Nice enough room, but unbearably hot during the day, even with the fan provided. Air con really needs to be installed in rooms facing the afternoon sun. Luckily the rooms cooled down enough at night with all windows/ doors open, and fan on. The lack of a fridge in the room is strange, especially given the heat. Servicing of the room was below average. Cost of this hotel was not worth it (not sure if is more costly when music festival is on), but we had little other option at the time.

Clean, comfortable, reasonable location

If you visit Salzburg you will most likely spend almost no time in the hotel but rooms here are clean and comfortable. Peak season is expensive.

Great hotel!

Stayed here while traveling through Europe with friends. The hotel was great. The staff was very accommodating. The hotel location was a little out of the main area of Salzburg but it was a quick 10 minute walk to get into the old town. Would definitely stay here again!

Family trip to Salzburg

Very well appointed room (we had the family room). No AC but fans provided were just fine with the evening temps. Pleased with the mix of older design but updated appointments. Excellent choice and would return.

Good hotel with good access to Salzburg

We chose this hotel because of the good reviews it had, and we were not disappointed. There were good transport links to the station and to the city, and you could actually walk into the city in about 10 minutes if you wished. The room was excellent and the breakfast lived up to expectation. We found the staff were very helpful about what to see, how to get there etc. If ever we return to Salzburg, we would definitely consider using this hotel again.

Nice with caveat

The hotel was nice and modern-except no fans and no air-conditioning. (and it was very hot outside). The only other complaint is the owner (I belive he is the owner)would not let me print something out using the hotel printer (one page-train tickets). A friendly woman at the front desk later did.

IT was out savior for my family at last minute but staff was very friendly and nice. Room was great too. Its location was also good. Overall everyone of my family liked it.

Worth a look

The hotel was great although parking was an issue. The room was lovely but no heating/air conditioning made it very warm on the top floor. Staff extremely helpful and friendly.

Nice hotel, a little bit out of the main area

Recently renovated. Everything in the room was in great condition. Close to bus to the Old Town, or a 20 minute walk. Staff was excellent. In a semi-industrial area. One minor complaint- got a little traffic noise in the morning.

Nice hotel

One night for a quick trip to Salzburg, Easy to get to either by walking from Salzburg Hbf or bus system. Easy walking distance to Mirabell Palace and Salzburg Fortress. Clean and comfortable. We were on the third floor and had excellent WiFi. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Cozy little hotel that is off the beaten path in a quiet residential neighborhood. Easy access to 2 different bus lines.
