Intercity is very reasonably priced and well located.

The hotel is very nice but not in a safe walkable area. Transportation is readily available. Great pool but too few chairs. Food was below average. Lobby offered tours of the area. Took three tours and all were very good.

The TV video on CNN did not work well.

Nice hotel for our layover to board cruise ship. Clean, good size room and very nice, helpful staff. I have no complaints.

Bkf was good, sauna was broken, rooms were outdated but overall would stay again.

The customer services ces was the best

Very basic hotel with very limited facilities. There was no age in the room, the I asked about it they sent up a safe. Left it on a shelf. Not secured. Someone could just take the whole safe! Food very limited. Did not feel safe to walk around the area.

stayed for 2 nights with early check in ($20) wxtra charge. friendly staff some speak in English and quite helpful. decent breakfast buffet, reasonably prices food menu a ailable feom the restaurant. 7-10 min to shopping mall by taxi. Safe area.

Four star prices for 2 star accommodations. Property is unkept. The room looked it had not had a fresh coat of paint in a decade. Scoff marks on walls and unsightly ceiling. The mattress was of low quality and resembled one that would be used at a youth’s camp site. One positive thing was the water pressure. Overall a poor experience.

The hotel and staff were wonderful. The room was clean and had great space. However, such a nice hotel with such a goof staff should have nice fitted sheets that don’t bunch during the night, offer free bottled water for each guest in the room and provide free coffee or tea in the room. The restaurant served outstanding breakfast and the dinner was of good quality. The property outside of the hotel area is dirty and run down looking and staff say it tent safe for tourists to walk even during the day so your basically confined to the hotel unless you have a car, or use a taxi or Uber .

Great location very close to all amenities.

Service left a lot to be desired. Had to call every day to come clean my room. I had to go in a dark room on the ground floor to iron my clothes. The pool was a really bad shape. The hallways did not look clean. We got towels that are really bad shape Breakfast left we desired. I cannot understand how this property got an 8.4 rating

Stay Here While Waiting for Your Cruise Ship

Hotel Intercity is a good place to stay while waiting for your cruise or river boat. The included breakfast is good. There are no USB ports in the rooms. Electricity supply may not be adequate to charge your devices. The tourist agency with a desk in the hotel can book your transfers and tours. The agent will accept credit cards for payment. Excellent service. Whatsapp - Yara Krul +55 92 8182 0162. Very reasonable. Arrive a few days early to take tours. We booked the Amazon Safari.

No hot water. No soap in bathroom. Paneling splitting off sink. Only one thin blanket. Several lights didn’t work.

Room needed an update. Tile in shower & bathroom floor very slippery.

The hotel is clean, well located and the staff is very kind and helpful. The restaurant doesn’t have a broad menu but the food is good. Banzeiro, a great restaurant, is very close and offers wonderful food.

The most abysmal internet connection I’ve experienced at a hotel anywhere in the world. There was only one spot of this huge hotel it worked, on the inside roof area next to the gym where there is no air. I spoke to the staff twice and they had no idea what to tell me, and no solutions, just that they are aware there are issues with the wifi. Infuriating when you need wifi on travels or for work. Also, they don’t use fitted sheets, let alone any mattress cover on the bed which is pretty gross. So you’re bound to wake up at some point on the actual mattress if you roll over. Otherwise the place is nice and good location.

Do not stay here. We had issues with air conditioning, hot water and internet access. We asked for help and support was not available. We ask for credit for these issues and we were denied. They gave us one free dinner and the "restaurant". The buffet food was cold. 3 bad days.

Not For Us

Only 1 restaurant option for eating. Extremely tiny elevator. Kept passing the 14th floor & we had to wait 25 minutes to go down. Weak air conditioner. Not in a very nice neighborhood. Pool on rooftop was nice, but bar was not open.

Considering where this is in the world it was just fine. No place to walk at night but daytime ok. Very basic amenities. Staff very limited English but did the best they could and we could usually find someone to help us if necessary. Had to ask for a blanket...sheet only provided.

Many Viking cruise passengers stayed here. Location a bit removed from sights but Uber was great. Room was hot cuz room electricity requires key card. Left viking key card in to keep A/C running. Sheets barely fit the bed. All came loose. Needs 115VAC outlet or USB

Staff, especially David and James were extremely helpful, dining portions and selections ample. Asked for did not receive blanket and extra pillow.

Everything seems Dated. Not clean. Bed sheets and covering are of poor quality. Would not have stayed there if our Viking cruise is not using this motel

Staff were Extremely nice and helpful. However, facilities were not up to par. I.e. there were 2 very small elevators for 16 floors. Very difficult to maneuver, no bathroom amenities, LUKEwarm showers any time of day. No toiletries provided. Extremely thin outside walls and a dog next door to the hotel enjoyed barking all night, not to speak of the abundant traffic noise.

Room was warm when we arrived. Power was off. Initially A/C would stay on for 2 minutes and then turn off with all room power This was repaired after a short 30 minute wait. Will face long elevator waits if hotel is busy.

Good check in. Poor amenities in room. Poor buffet options...no English signage. Poor bedding, shhets didn't cover the mattress, blanket too small. Towels missing...did not bring towels when we called. No complimentary water. Elevator was not adequate to handle the crowds. Got stuck on elevator between floors. Overall, a terrible stay. .

Front desk staff was awesome, very engaged and extremely helpful, 5-Stars there. Rest of hotel OK between 3 and 4 stars. Pool was not as clean as it should have been. Breakfasts excellent; dinner at hotel just OK very limited menu. Room was in good shape and size. Excellent shower.

The property is located a bit far from the center city. The hotel does not provide any complimentary water and expects you to buy at the local store or pay exorbitant money for the water from the mini bar. The staff does not speak much English. Communicating with staff was very difficult and I had to take the front desk staff to my room to show that there was lot of noise coming from outside (A generator that runs 24x7) and I could not sleep. So I had to change the room to a higher floor on other side of the building. For the money I paid, there are several better properties in Manaus center city.

Bed bugs and mould

As the name suggests, this is not a destination hotel but perhaps one for a quick stop. But before you book please know the following. I visited with my wife and her parents, we both had to request upgraded rooms, our room had bed bugs and theirs had mould. The staff were great when you dealt with one who and the right training. The desk at reception for tours was very good, Professional and definitely worth dealing with. Breakfast was very good. With the upgraded room you get included capsules for the coffee machine, but you had to pay minibar price for the water.. really! Pool is great and a good selection of beers. It’s advertised as 4 star but it just is not, 3 is fair, but I give a 2 star rating because of the bed bugs and their dealing with the situation. If you must book, save the trouble and book the upgrade from the start.

The staff were helpful, however the language barrier was a problem. No one spoke English. You cannot get bigger notes changed either. If you handed over a $20 for a $5 item they really struggled to find the right change

As it is an Intercity Hotel, the facility was in excellent condition. The room was the best ever been. Next time I will try to reserve this type of hotel. Very well located, nice pool and bar at the top, very confortable rooms, etc, etc. All was excellent. The staff was excellent, mainly at front desk. All of them.

Breakfast is average. The tables are wobbled so you spill your liquids, coffee, juices, etc. Cook does not know how to fry an egg.

Good for a short stay

Good hotel, clean, spacious, comfortable and short taxi ride from the centre. WiFi terrible, breakfast repetitive but adequate. Food average and sometimes below average when ordering off menu from the restaurant of an evening. Bar is always closed. Pool is lovely.

Cleanliness. From the filthy carpet at the entrance of the hotel, dirt and dust in the hallways, to drinks and food remains left behind for nearly 24 hours in the pool area. There were cans and bottles on the floor of the pool area. Service: The supposed pool service was non-existent. We had to go to the lobby to get a drink. When a waiter came to deliver food for a group, he looked at us and then proceeded to leave without asking if we wanted so much as water. Food: From pre-fried french fries, salty meat, and insufficient food during breakfast. One morning I asked for two fried eggs. I waited for over 15 minutes only to receive one egg. On another morning, I asked for a fried egg with a soft yolk. I got a nearly burnt egg after 20 minutes. The hotel claims to have a bar. It has a booth with four benches, and there is never anyone at the bar, which also closes at 10 PM. I should note that I speak Portuguese. None of this was a result of a language barrier. I should also note that the hotel is located in a horrible neighborhood. Not two blocks away is essentially a small favela. This hotel needs to be removed from Expedia. It was an absolute disaster. I have used Expedia for years and have never made a complaint. I understand that hotels may have a bad day. This was a bad week. Simply beyond the pale. Absolutely horrible.

This was a comfortable, clean and relaxing hotel to stay. Spacious rooms, delicious breakfast and friendly multilingual staff. Incredible view of the city on the top floor. A must see and stay!

Our family had a wonderful stay in Intercity Manaus. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were able to communicate with us in English. Most importantly they helped organize two days of tours for us which made our Amazon experience great.

Overall a nice hotel. Stayed here before and after our amazon adventure. The hotel was clean, the staff were accommodating. The area is not walkable, but is perfect if you’re just coming in and out of Manaus.

Not the same service

We came back to this hotel mostly because of the service, only this time it was new year and they were short staffed andthe service was really bad. In addition, only one of the staff members knew how to speak English.

Really nice big room and bed. Breakfast was good and good choice of food and juices. Had a restaurant meal which I rate was ok although my partner ordered a medallion which was amazing and very tasty. Stuff was nice and friendly. Ok location wise. Only stayed 1 night. Satisfied with a stay.

Modern hotel with huge, clean rooms with required comfort & amenities

This is the nicest hotel I've stayed in in Manaus, and I think I've stayed at them all. It's the not most conveniently located for tourism or airport, but it's pretty central and is in a nice neighborhood with lots of great restaurants. The bed was very comfortable, the rooftop pool good sized and well cared for.

Was looking forward to the pool but it was closed for maintenance.

Great hotel. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Only issues were the coffee at breakfast (from a machine), the AC was small for the room and leaked a little water, and the safe did not work. Easy fixes. I still plan to go back.

I hated to leave!

The price went up, and I only booked one night. I had to move because the price went up... I wish I could have stayed longer. The cheaper hotel was a real disappointment. I should have paid the extra money. It’s a nice place.

Beautiful hotel room but everything is slow...

I stayed 12 days at this hotel. The interior design of the hotel is nice and my single room was big. Also, the breakfast buffet is acceptable. However, I had repeated problems with the WiFi and also with the room cleaning service. They solved these problems very slowly, and sometimes I just felt ignored by some members of the staff. They provided a slow service and it was stressful. Not to mention, even the elevators are very slow and need maintenance.

Good hotel for stay in Manaus

Visited this on a 5 day trip to Manaus. Staff is friendly, helpful and speaks english, which is a plus in Manaus. Only minor points were the airconditioning (too small for the room) and the towel service (once too many, twice none at all). The rooftop pool and the breakfast selection (included in our stay) are plusses. Would definitely recommend for a stay in Manaus.

When in Manaus- go Intercity

Modern hotel a few kilometers from center and port a distance easily walkable or reachable by bus or taxi. We like to walk and so were able to enjoy neibourhoods celebrations of carnaval on weekend and watch some pickup soccer-footbal matches in a local park. Facilities, personnel and service at this hotel-first class at very reasonable price!

Great hotel for the price. The staff was very helpful and nice. Breakfast was good with a wide variety of food. Pool area needs some work as things are breaking and old, but still a great view of the city. Room was clean and spacious.
