Noisy and tired 2* hotel

Very noisy and tired. More like a 2* hotel. Is much older than in the pictures

We have been visiting the ilusion for several years and will continue to return due to the warmth and service received from the excellent staff. The food and drinks are perfectly acceptable for all inclusive and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

The property was clean and food was labeled well and very good for those with allergies and dietary restrictions. They however put us in a handicapped room and our room had no stall for the shower so water was everywhere. Our balcony door did not have a handle to open from the outside so I almost got stuck outside, if it were not for my friend being in the room at the time. The hotel is also limited with no shop for supplies like sunscreen. The receptionist recommended us the pharmacy two doors down which sold it for minimum 20 euros while after exploring I found venders a 5 min walk away which sold it for 4 euros. The pool is smaller than what pictures show online but it is very clean. The spa was nice but the hot tub was only luke warm. After telling the receptionist they tried fixing it but it still was not hot

This property did not look like the photos, I am glad we only stayed 1 night as a stop over from the airport. The area was not the nicest looking. Our room was large, but very bare, and the bathroom was a bit dirty. Check out was easy.

We stayed overnight as planned as flught arrived late in day. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was very hood with lots of choice. The bathrooms could have been cleaned better.

Room 313 had a constant smell of cooking. It was warm so balcony door open. Noisy early mornings, refuse trucks most days. Food hit and miss. Lunch was better than dinner. Sausages and bacon revolting. Jacuzzi was luke warm. Indoor pool was lovely. Didn't use outdoor ,too cold. Didn't appear to have snacks in between meals. Maybe only high season.

Clean & spacious hotel. Near to airport. Pleasant, friendly and funny staff. Good entertainment team. Great acts from outside ( Tony? - Mentalist, and Fausto - singer). Compliments to the chefs and kitchen staff for making delicious meals every day, plenty of variety and choice. Looking forward to visiting again.

I asked for a quiet room and I got one, easy check in, lovely modern room

Cockroaches and poor air conditioning

The quality of the hotel aligns with the price but I had multiple cockroaches in the room each night. We were not leaving the balcony door open so they were coming from within the hotel. The air conditioning is poor, despite having it as cold as possible with the fan as high as possible the room was so hot we couldn’t sleep. Lying sweating, with no covers while unsure if there were cockroaches you had failed to kill was wholly unpleasant.

Staff are really friendly and property is clean! Good range of drinks! Overall a really nice trip!

Room was great , service quite good. Main disappointment was the food. Not good, not much choice and not quality. Food always looked the same , everything covered in oil, yuk. Would not go back to hotel purely because of the food.

My stay in hotel illusion calma and spa was short but very sweet. The room was very comfortable with great air conditioning which was needed as it was very hot during our stay. The breakfast buffet was average it did have a great selection. I have to give a special mention to the reception staff in this hotel. The man on reception on Friday night was so helpful, he went above and beyond to help me find my lost password and was so kind and calming. I would highly recommend this hotel, it is close to palma airport and reasonably priced.

Nice relaxing break

We had an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Friendly staff throughout the stay. Food plentiful but could have been a bit more varied. Bar staff prompt and friendly. Hotel is well situated for the beach,bars and restaurants as well as the bus route into Palma. Good position for airport transfers.

Hotel was decent, close enough to the local shops/restaurants that were good. The hotel food was pretty good too, a large selection to choose from during breakfast, lunch and dinner. Palma centre is like 20-30 mins by the local bus so excellent for exploring, airport was like 15 mins so you'll get to the hotel in no time.

CALMA Ilusion

Had 3 nights here in october.Had the smallest balcony overlooking street,so bit dissapointed from the start.Rooms and hotel clean.Had to pay for internet every day.Food was ok,if your not too fussy. I have probably been spoilt staying at the beachfront hotels last 10 years,but on the whole for the money,was good enough hotel.

Very welcoming staff in all areas of the hotel . Hotel is exceptionally clean , well done to all cleaning staff who work extremely hard . Food was delicious with plenty of choice . We have stayed here numerous times and have never had reason to complain . A teasmaid would be lovely though if you have a early flight as no where to get a drink before 8 am

Strengths: Always clean, rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels, extremely frequently staff, great location 2 min walk from the beach. Weaknesses: Would prefer better food variety and quality not great, poor drink quality, have to drink from plastic glasses only received a glass if you pay for more expensive drink. No car parking.

Bathroom a little shabby and could have been cleaner but very good overall ! Staff lovely and friendly but limited English speakers so possibly have a phrase book ready! 5 minute walk to the beach and very close to airport- minimum taxi charge from airport is €15 but was only €8 on the meter

Good value for money

Food was excellent for all inclusive, good varied choice each day, full english breakfast, fajita, chicken curry, beef stir fry, to name a few. Definately go back. 5 Minute walk to the beach and good choice of bars.

Great location -typical 3 star hotel

Typical 3 star all inclusive, location is great. Plenty of food available including snacks from 11- 5 which include hit digs, burgers, crisps, tubs of Ice cream but no crisps or nuts. Drinks as you would expect. Food ok but lacking on the desserts, we always found something to eat.

The gym is not adequate. The machines are not working properly. The indoor swimming pool to cold. Sauna ans turkish bath are great.

Hotel Calma

3rd time staying at this amazing hotel which has now been totally refurbished. Thoroughly recommended in every way.

5 nights of October relaxation

The location of Hotel Ilusion Calma was key for deciding our stay here, both with the resort C'an Pastilla being near the airport, on a public bus route and near the beach. What I read on other reviews was that the hotel had been recently refurbished and this appeared the case with a very modern reception/lobby area, flatscreen TVs in the bar and in bedrooms, modern power showers and a new indoor pool/jacuzzi/spa area. The room we stayed in was slightly larger than expected, with an ample sized wet room and instead of a balcony a large tiled outdoor area which was on one of the hotel corners (other adjacent rooms had small balconies). The condition of the room varied from modern TV, modern bed side lamps, drawers etc to more simplistic two beds pushed together with a lot of dust underneath and stains in the white sheets. The room also came with a hairdryer mounted to the bathroom wall, a fridge to store any of your own drinks/food and a safe in the wardrobe which is extra. WiFi too is extra and there is nothing free at reception either; not a problem as you can use your mobile data on your UK plan at no extra cost in the EU and there is free WiFi on the streets outside of the hotel whenever you go near the beach. The room got cleaned every day which was useful as the wet room needs a regular mop. Towels changed most days which was unexpected. Quality of service was outstanding, from the friendliness of the cleaner to restaurant team. We will be back again!

Hotel for all inclusive guests

Location very good within Can Pastilla close to the beach. Clean rooms. Very unfriendly staff: when arrived from airport we were greeted with the clerk shouting “passport” at us rather then hello. When asking for an iron, answer was simply no. Breakfast has very limited times, neither early nor late, so hard to make it if you leave early morning or if you sleep in after a night out. Pool area is nice albeit small and very full during the day. WiFi available only for a fee although advertised as free during the booking. We didn’t check out the spa area. Hotel good enough if you’re looking for relatively cheap simple place to sleep. For anything more, I’d choose a different place.

Worked for a last minute night

Had to boom this place last minute due to our flight being cancelled. Only a mile from the airport. The staff were wonderful. Lobby looked prettynice with a nice pool in the back and lots of chairs as well as a restaurant/bar people were hanging out at. The three stars at that point I thought might be too low and I would say more 3.5. But then, we went up to our room. The hallway is long with an old red carpet in need of replacement. The room was hot, smelled like mold and looked like a hostel room. There were 4 twin size beds, two on each side. The beds were made nicely and the room was clean. The bathroom was a nice size with a nice shower that was the only updated thing intense room. The grout in the tiles we’re all coming out and ruined, the bath towels were pulled and ragged, and the toilet was clean but worn out. The air conditioner made a loud irritating sound all night and long and didn’t work. We sweat the whole night. The breakfast was decent the next day with some variety so I’ll give them a few more points there. I wouldn’t rate this more than 2.5 stars but it was fine when we were exhausted and just needed somewhere for the night.

It was clean, close to the beach and the service was excellent. The comfort was fair only because the bed was a bit too firm and the pillows were flat.

It was a nice experience, very popular with older guests, the location was close to the beach but not much going on in the evenings.

Solid 3*

Great location, good 3* hotel, do not expect miracles. Wifi only in the lobby, cannot even buy it for the room. I had an amazing balcony with tiny single room. I am not complaining, I had everything I needed. Good, decent food, poor selection. Again, you will get what you pay for. You will not be ecstatic, but you will survive and have a nice, good time. Wonderful receptionist. :-) Good pool, good bar.

Great hotel, family friendly, nice location

Staff was very friendly. Everything you need is around you. The only negative thing about this hotel is that it doesn't have wifi, which is very frustrating when in another country.

I ONLY booked this hotel because it offered wifi in all rooms, COULDN'T GET IT IN MY ROOM, spoke to chambermaid who told me is never any good in rooms only reception, I have to ask how do they keep getting away with false advertising like this, does expedia never check any of these claims. Room was excellent, clean and comfortable, good shower, good bed but reception seemed to think the print copy of itinerary I made belonged to the hotel, said he needed it for the hotel to be paid by expedia for my stay, unbelievable!!! Breakfast was included in the room rate but because of no wifi and no itinerary couldn't even check.

close to the beach

Hotel was very close to the beach. It was good value for money. Spacious terrace, the room was recently refurbished. We have breakfast and dinner during our stay and the food was good. The beds are a little bit uncomfortable and they didnt had double bed it was two single beds in our room.

September 2015

Stayed at the Calma in Late September at the start of a 10 day Mallorca trip. This hotel is French owned and very much oriented to French speakers which is fine for us. I first stayed two years ago and the (previously a little tired) rooms have been done up since then and are now nicely decorated and have very good showers. Food is plentiful and generally quite good, though the coffee is terrible and really could do with improving! All in all a good place very near the airport.

Stayed 1st to 9th Sep.2015

The food was very poor also the hotel is all geared up for the French no help to English people at all. Also the rooms were not cleaned very well I unfortunately knocked a glass over in the bathroom, notified the reception after 2 days the glass had not been cleared up. I also had to cut my finger nails the cuttings were left out on the balcony for more that 3 days. The shuttle bus dropped us off at the end of a road which was 4 streets away from the street where the Hotel was, we had to make our own way round with our luggage.

Excellent value

Hotel was great value for money and rooms were adequate and clean.The hotel was ideally situated close to beach and local amenities. The food was great, varied and plentiful.That was the hotels strong point.

Great price for what you get!

Nothing fancy but for the price, with breakfast and diner included, cannot be beat. Very suitable for those who can are on a tight budget and don't mind older facilities. Would stay here again! Location is good, right near the airport with a public bus a few steps away. Not a busy neighborhood however, very quiet at night.

cheap, not so cheerful

Would appeal to those travelling on a tight budget as the hotel really isn't anything to get excited about. Food was hot and plentiful also bland and of a low quality. Rooms basic but cleaned efficiently everyday, little in the way of views but this is offset by the close proximity of the beach. Reception staff ok but bar staff and catering staff rude, surly and in the main devoid of any customer service training. If you are not German or one of the predominantly French clientele you might be used to a little more in the way of good manners and so this hotel is not for you.

Small, basic rooms, breakfasts and dinner were very average, either tasteless and/or too salty. You get what you pay for - Value for money.

Calma - value for the money

Visited Calma in April 2012. Hotel rooms are basic but ok. Hotel services are good, food is also good and staff is helpful. Outside pool is nice. Inside pool is small, gym facilities are old and there is some noise in the evenings. WLAN costs extra and works only in the reception area. Hotel is very close from the beach, 2 min walk. In general, hotel was good value for the money.

Yderst hjælpsom personale i receptionen. Også omkring ekstra bad efter vi har tjekket ud, samt hurtig taxa bestilling. Vi havde morgenmad, som var ringe - bl.a. manglede bacon og mellem 10-15 border var ikke ryddet imens vi sad der. Ingen hjælp omkring morgenmad. Værelset er utrolig slidt, med stor utæthed i brusekabinen som betød at der var glat på gulvet og var nødsaget til at bruge flere håndklæder til at tørre op. Altan stolene var meget beskidte og flere flager af altan var faldet af. Toiletbrættet var meget løst. Der er kun et adgangskort, hvilket betyder at værelset var utrolig varm, når vi kommer fra stranden. Vi har været på tre andre hoteller i år og ingen andre havde denne gamle løsning, som må være dyre at anvende i stedet for at vedligeholde temperaturen i rummet. Vi var meget skuffet over hotellet og kommer ikke igen

Seinien läpi kuului puheet naapurihuoneista. ...ja muut epäsiveelliset äänet. Sisäpihan äänet kuuluivat ja kaikuivat sisään. Erittäin railakasta menoa. Ei siis hyvä hotelli jos kaipaa lepoa. Kylpyhuoneen lattia repsotti. Luultavasti hajusta päätellen homeessa. Ei siis herkille. ...eikä kannattaisi mennä muutenkaan. Aamiainen ihan kattava. Kahvi huonoa, mehut limun makuisia, ilman hiilihappoa. Spa-osastolla nuorisoa rellestämässä. Ei siis jatkoon eikä enää ikinä.

Muy buen hotel para hospedarse, habitaciones limpias, excelente atención del personal. La comida bastante normal, pero muy buen ambiente. Seguro que repetimos.

Solo se informa de que hay bebidas que pueden estar excluidas en la media pensión, pero en ningún momento se indica que la única bebida incluida es agua. El servicio de cena finaliza a las 21:30, y a las 21:00 algunos días empiezan a recoger, quitar bandejas y apagar luces del comedor. Lo que crea incomodidad y cenar en escasos 10-15 minutos. Respecto al spa informan que es necesario reservar, cómo el acceso no está regulado, está masificado. Dejadez en la limpieza y mantenimiento. A destacar la amabilidad del personal de recepción y barra zona social.

Ottimo personale e sempre disponibile. Bagno da migliorare e anche le salviette spesso trovate con i buchi. Cibo ottimo e con molta varietà. Posizione ottima.

Soggiornato in questa struttura nella settimana dopo ferragosto nel complesso ci siamo trovati bene noi avevamo la formula all-inclusive quindi per quanto riguarda le bevande nulla da dire. Nel ristorante menu poco vario i dosatori marmellate e bevande spesso erano vuoti alcune volte abbiamo fatto la coda per accedere al ristorante per mancanza di tavoli liberi. Una notte abbiamo dovuto evaquare l'hotel per allarme antincendio che poi è risultato falso allarme spaventando gli ospiti della struttura. Le piscine non sono grandi e sdrai spesso insufficienti.

Cocktails schmecken wie Säfte. Wasser ohne Gas überteuert für 1.50€. Klimaanlage nur auf Stufe 1 möglich.

Très bon séjour, piscine au top, petit déjeuner très varié. Petit bémol on entend tout ce qui se passe la nuit. Je recommande quand même rapport qualité prix excellent.

Catastrophique à l'arrivé, chambre attribué, en prenant la chambre, un couple l'occupé de ja. Une heure pour avoir une chambre (2 heures du matin) Les draps froissés été la preuve que ils n'étaient pas changés. Le Landelin le directeur de l'hôtel a reconnu cela et ma promis de changer les draps et les serviettes, chose qui n'a pas été faite.

The hotel was ok. I had a single room which was very small and looked onto other rooms. The air conditioning wasn't good.

Cerca del aeropuerto, muy buenos recepcionistas habitación y camas muy confortable con terraza, comida simple pero siempre hay algo bueno y para todos como es buffet. Agradablemente sorprendido, volveré.

Hotel reformado muy acogedor, el personal bueno, la estancia bien. A mi parecer se debería especificar que el Spa ni la piscina ni el jacuzzi son climatizados. Y segundo a valorar críticamente, sobre la comida, deja un poco que desear, tanto en variedad como en calidad, a veces la plancha está bien, lo más rico el desayuno. Sobre el todo incluido considero que vale la pena, lo que ponía que había snacks en un horario y ningún día pusieron.

Enkelt hotell med all inklusive. Ok på alla sätt med tanke på priset. Bra läge. Tyvärr anges det att det finns gratis parkering 150 m bort men det fanns inga platser. Borde inte stå att parkering finns.

4 star staff in a 2 star building.

I stayed for two nights due to a konference. The staff was very friendly, helpful and everything you could hope for. The food was alright for the price (I did not have all inclusive). Unfortunately the building itself seems to be a little neglected. Small repairs could be made in the rooms, water was leaking through the ceiling in the bar area. These all seem like easy fixings if they wanted to.

La habitacion no estaba mal es de lo poco que se puede salvar, aunque se oyen ruidos exteriores, la comida en todo incluido bastante decepcionante, repetitiva y mal cocinada en general. Piscina minuscula, y poco espacio para disfrute, coger una hamaca una odisea. Lo bueno estar cerca de la playa, ademas de transporte urbano.
