Polite front desk. Very close to everything! Lots of shopping right our hotel door and the breakfast provided was also quite nice
Everything was good, fantastic location, great staff, good dinning options, the hotel was clean and quiet. The only issue was the wifi speed was very unsatisfying. The nice staff moved us to the lower level but still not good. Better than 4th floor but far from high speed.
Great location, within walking distance of so maby places. Friendly and helpful staff- I would come back for sure
Great staff in a great location. Across the street are wonderful restaurants
Location is great. Near "Plaza de España". I was charge 40euros for a bottle of water.
The room was hot and had to sleep with the windows open but the noise outside wouldn't let me sleep
Nice and central
My family stayed at this hotel for four nights Piazza Spagna Metro stop was within walking distance it was very well situated. We felt safe at all hours of the night. I mean overall in Rome we felt safe. There are plenty of restaurant options close by. The room was what you expect from a European hotel. Small, good amenities, good warm water and clean. We would definitely stay here again.
Perfect location to stay at in Rome, everything walkable! The staff were friendly, felt very safe as a solo female traveller, would recommend!!
Easy access sightseeing but not value for money
The location is great is undeniable. The room I got was weird. Terribly hot in room asked multiple times if heat could be lowered or atleast turned off but they didn’t. I would open windows but housekeeping kept closing it so I came to a hot room every evening. I sweat more in the room than on my activities. Bedding is good. Restroom configuration wasn’t great. The shower was not pointing in towards bath tub but towards the outside, if I didn’t take care, there would be water all over the floor. Plus the contraption that controls if we have water in shower or tap for a bath was broken so couldn’t take a bath. I informed the front desk. They kindly took everything down but nothing got done about it. I had a very short trip so didn’t want to ruin it by having to go ask and tell them over and over. I just hope they fix the issues with that room before they give it to others. For the amount I paid and room I got, I think there were other options available when I booked it. Especially since it was off peak season. Suggest if staying longer than 2 days and you need a good soak in bath tub after a long day of sightseeing to look for other options.
Great location, staff, dining options...quiet, safe.
We enjoyed the location of the hotel in city central. Close to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain and our new favourite restaurant VIB! Excellent food and service and the prices were very reasonable. The hotel is in need of a refresh. The carpets in the hallways were extremely soiled and worn.
Great location.
The staff were very supportive and room was comfortable. Excellent location. Bathroom had mould. The breakfast was very basic and the same for 7 days.
The bathroom
If you’re looking for an affordable stay with a touch of old-world charm, this hotel has its pros and cons. The building is definitely historic, which adds character, but also means the facilities, like the elevator, aren’t always reliable – something to consider if accessibility is a priority. The standout feature is the staff, who are very helpful and do their best to make your stay enjoyable. Additionally, the location is hard to beat, just a few blocks from the Spanish Steps, putting you right in the heart of Rome with easy access to main attractions. Pros: • Great central location near the Spanish Steps • Friendly and helpful staff Cons: • Aging facilities, especially the unreliable elevator • May not be suitable for those needing modern amenities
Different kinds of noises come out from walls and ceiling, during daytime and night, the noise is almost always on.
Everything was amazing I’m so happy with them
Nicely located close to Spanish steps and trevi fountain. Many other major attractions within 30-40mins walk. Clean and cosy room. My only negative comment was that you have to ask for the toiletries to be refilled, which I expected it to be automatic. At least the staff was nice and did it willingly when asked
Super easy and affordable location between the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain area. Professional and friendly front desk team. Acknowledging the room can be a bit small or dated, and noise travels in these older hotels, but overall a great value.
Thoughtful staff with great restaurant recommendations. Very, very clean - perfect location on a quiet street near the Spanish steps.
Room smells really bad.
This was a great place. Next time I come to Room, I want to stay here again. Everyone was friendly and always available when needed. And very helpful. This place is five stars!
Great location. Rooms are clean and quiet. Staff was very helpful. They provide a very nice breakfast
Hom's September 2024
We enjoyed our stay at the Hom's Hotel. It was in a very easy access access area and not loud and noisy like other areas of Rome. Close by local restaurants recommended by the hotel staff were very good.
Location was ok, walking distance to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Luxury Retail Stores. The property itself was dingy. The room was tiny and dirty. The accommodations were below standards. No room service. Did not have a lot of interactions with the staff but it seems like they were helpful. First time in Rome, maybe what I experienced is the norm. Hopefully not.
Garbage pickup every night at 3:00 AM was only drawback. People were great, breakfast a good value.
the property was convenient to most tourist attractions, It was clean, the staff was very accomodating. Enjoyed our stay at the hotel
Nice customer service. Great location. Property could use some updates. Overall good.
We stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of our 2-week tour of Italy, and we were so impressed (especially with the staff) that we came back to Rome a night earlier so we could spend our last night in Italy in these familiar and very comfortable surroundings. We loved the staff - so helpful and friendly, and appreciated that 24/7 front desk. This is our 'go to' spot when we travel back to Rome.
Outstanding value - we had a suite for our mother/daughter trip, and it was quiet, spacious, and comfortable. The staff is fantastic - 24/7 front desk, extremely attentive and friendly. They make you feel very welcome and help in any way they can. Highly recommend this location!
I've found my home when in Rome! My daughter and I had a suite, which was very quiet, comfortable, and roomy. There's a little cafe downstairs in the hotel - convenient for a quick breakfast before heading out for the day. But the highlight is the staff: Gildo, the day manager, was kind, considerate, and even helped me find a dentist when I broke a tooth and needed immediate care. I love this hotel and highly recommend it!
nice. a bit expensive for an older room. great location
Was a great location, however it was very dark and some of the staff or wonderful
Pamela was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and noise free. I would recommend.
Would not recommend this place. Extremely outdated, issues with plumbing and key cards not working. They make you write down a credit card number to keep on file on paper when you arrive. Entire property just seems a bit rundown, if you’re looking for somewhere strictly for location it’s great but other than that I would stay elsewhere.
As stated in previous reviews, the property is perfectly located. There are shopping opportunities for the wealthy and normal people. The restaurants were outstanding. The property is a little dated, but the excellent staff and service made up for any shortcomings of the property! My wife’s luggage was missing so we had to go shopping and there was plenty of options. The staff was the only thing that made the beginning of our trip tolerable as they went absolutely out of their way to help coordinate the return of the bag! They saved our 41st wedding anniversary and we will be forever grateful!
This is the second time we have styed here. WE found the experiance much better last year. The rooms are starting to look very tired. The breakfast was much better last year, and the server last year was so firendly. The young lady this time was not friendly. Front desk staff are great, great location 5 minutes walk to Spanish Steps, and lots of reataurants around.
Prime location. Walking distance to center of Rome. Clean, simple. Price worthy.
This hotel is centrally located! The cleaning staff did not change the glasses in the room although used until we requested new ones.
Great location
It was great
Staff was excellent! I loved the service!!!
The property was great but unfortunately there was blood on my sheets and my friends room sheets.
Great location, walkable to everywhere
This is the second time I have stayed here and it never disappoints. The location is fantastic, the rooms for European standards is great. Will be back next time I am in Rome
Absolutely LOVED this hotel. The staff were so friendly and checked in on us to see that we were settled in. It's located in the best spot, walking distance to most historical sites and right in front of the hotel is the cutest little restaurant. Food was 10/10. There is a roof top terrace that gives you a lovely view of Rome. If I come back to Rome, i'll be staying here. The room was perfection air conditioned and well ventilated. The bed was very comfortable.
Perfectly centered in the down town. The wifi was inexistent. The door did not open with the card at several occasions. AC could not cool down behond a certain point. Ventilation in the bathroom was broken.
This place has everything you need for that dream Rome vacation
In this hotel THE CUSTOMER is always WRONG. SMALL DIRTY ROOMS WITH NO SHORTAGE OF INSECTS. TIGHT SPACE. I TRIPPED INTO THIS TOILET TRYING TO GET INTO THE SHOWER. UNFRIENDLY STAFF.
Customer service was excellent, and the location was terrific - walkable to many sights and close to the metro, with lots of options for dining and shopping. Our room was clean and spacious and as expected.
The hotel is very run down. My daughter and I had room 108 which has two windows, One is permanently locked and the other overlooks boilers. The room was very dark. Almost like being in a dungeon!! The door lock was broken. Having said that the staff were excellent And the location was excellent
Nice property near many tourist attractions in Rome. The staff is friendly. I stayed for a long weekend and didn’t need to rent a car. I would stay again.
Hotel homs staff are wnderful and accomodating. The hotel location is perfect, you can walk to some tourist attractions and to thehighend shops.
The bedding were clean
Had to take stairs up elevator only went up to 4th floor, had to carry 4 pieces of luggage up flight of stairs upon arrival. Room is infested with ants. There are living ants on and unsung suitcase when I left the hotel. Only only working outlet. Lamp was plugged in cord wrapped in electric tape. Only good thing very close to Trevi fountain and Spanish steps. Night staff was not friendly at all. Very loud throughout the night will not stay again or recommend
A very convenient location. Walking distance to restaurants and big shops. Very safe and quiet neighborhood. Only thing I wish was better is the internet speed from wi-fi.
Location, location, location! A 5min walk to the Spagna Metro (which puts it 5 min from the Spanish Steps); a 10min walk to Trevi Fountain....great restaurants (vegan supportive included) within 4 blocks! Rooms were really comfortable and clean - a bit tired and needing a refresh BUT STILL CLEAN.....staff was great and helpful. My only issue is that in our room there were limited electrical outlets and none were USB or by the nightstand. But if this is the worst thing that I can come up with, you cannot go wrong staying here!
Great location
It was convenient to the Spanish Steps and also Via del Corso so I thought a good place to be staying.
Excellent location, with restaurants, cafes and a supermarket all close by as well as all the sights. However the bathroom was in much need of repair and renovation. No proper shower, the tap was broken as was the sink plug so the sink got blocked. The air con wasn’t working on the first night, in the morning I asked if there was any chance of a fan and was instantly supplied with one. It would have been nice to have been offered that on arrival rather than have a sleepless night. The staff were helpful when asked but could have been more forthcoming and initiated help rather than wait until I asked. I’d stay there again if the rooms were refurbished.
Very clean
It was confidently located . And the staff were very nice
Very old hotel. Needs a refresh.
Liked the nerby restaurants, shopping stores along w/attractions
Excellent location, good service for a reasonable proce
This hotel was in a great location. Easy walkable to all the main places to see. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and tidy and we slept really well every night.
The access to social areas was nice. Limited room size. Limited room amenities. All in all nice
Very good hotel we will book again when we come back
The property has a good location,.spacious bathroom, the staff is friendly. However the beds are terrible, I have back issues. I had to change rooms after the first night because the bed was terrible. They put me in another room with a "new" mattress which was worse than the first one. They tried to help by placing a foam top for the bed. I left after the 2nd day because I couldn't take the pain. The staff who tri d to help saw the problem with the beds. If you have back issues stay away from this hotel. Another thing, for this type of situations, the hotel should review it's policies or they should pay for a back treatment.
It was good. The service attentions were very good. The air conditioner was not working properly.
Fab location and excellent staff. Beautiful quiet rooms but rather small: very limited walking space around a double bed of only 135 cm. The en-suit was nice but felt dated and the shower had tatty plumbing and didn’t work properly (couldn’t set the water to flow from the either the shower head or the bath tap and it was a mixture of the two, annoyingly). I raised the issue to reception, but couldn’t resolve it whilst we were there, understandably. This was the most expensive 4 star hotel we’ve ever been with the limited facilities.
Great location, but hotel is very dated inside, not 4 * hotel.
We had to leave this hotel because we could not shower NO HOT WATER 😒😒 No air conditioner very bad intent service & the room had terrible smell
Property a bit dated and shower setup awkward where water splashes outside. Spacious room and very friendly staff at the hotel as well as the small cafe that serves breakfast. Excellent location to shopping in the Spanish Steps area.
Great place to stay in the City of Rome.
Great hotel, great location, close to almost everything.
Worst experience in Italy. Front desk person was the worst, discrimination, attitude, rude. Won’t recommend anyone to stay here.
Room was very small & bathroom needs updating - no hanging rails for towels
The hotel looked nothing inside like its web photos, hotel was tired and in need of a revamp. First double room we were given, had kick and scuff marks on the walls, cob webs on walls and broken fixture around central heating control, guest desk was scratched, water marked broken in the joint and cracked tiles in the bathroom, everywhere needed a good lick of paint and new furnishings. After complaining, and I was angry as we paid for a 4* premium room, it felt more like a 2* standard room. Erik agreed to move us the following day, room was much better, but I'd still say an average 3* hotel not 4*. It was excellent for the sights around the hotel and easy walking distance to everything.
Its walking distance to everything and there food right in front of it.
They was very professional and kindness
This was a great central location to everything from food to sights and shopping.
Clean simple room in a very walkable area.
It was not so clean needs some touch up
Good, but manage expectations.
Overall I give it 4 stars, but it compares more to 2-3 stars worldwide. The pros: very friendly staff, good breakfast, and excellent (maybe even the best) location. The cons: old and not very well maintained property, uncomfortable bed, A/C was not cooling, and poor interior soundproofing. All things considered, and for the price relative to other hotels in the area, it’s not a bad place to stay a few days. After enjoying a long stroll in a 1000-year-old charming city, a slightly old and uncomfortable hotel becomes much easier to accept!
Nice stay
Very secure hotel. Staff was accommodating and helpful. Very convenient location.
I was only there for a night on a layover, but staff was super friendly & area was safe at night for a solo female traveler!
Great hotel with an amazing location. The staff is awesome always willing to help. The only con I have it’s the AC. It does not work and the elevator is tiny. I was able to fit my luggage and myself but if you are plus size you may have to do a couple of trips. Other than that I would definitely stay here again.
Had a nice overnight stay. Viviana was brilliant and she’s always ready help. My room was tiny (single room), I haven’t experienced such a tiny room before but that will remind me never to book a single room again. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
The staff was very attentive to the needs of the clients. Always trying to accommodate.
The location is excellent. The furnishings, fittings, bathroom and general state of the room is not 4 stars. It was worn, tired and needs some redecorating for sure! Staff were really nice.
Fantastic location, couldn't have asked for a better spot. 2 minutes walk to Trevi Fountain and 3 minute walk to Spanish Steps. Clean but rooms are a little tired.
The Hotel was in a convenient location, great for traveling by foot and not having to pay for taxis. The staff was also very nice, and helped us organize taxis to and from hotel. The hotel itself was the worst part of our trip. The shower was terrible, it had no curtain and only a half glass wall with space under the glass so the water went everywhere when showering. Having to continue to clean up water after every shower was annoying. Also due to half glass wall, could only stand at very corner of shower and had to bathe and use soap while shower was off, could not do both at the same time. The room was run down, and for most of our trip they closed the shutters ruining our view. The hotel definitely needs some TLC.
Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable and polite
Walls were thin. Could hear people in other rooms. Furniture needs updating. Excellent breakfast! Close to attractions.
This is an older hotel which brings the charm to it. The rooms are spacious and clean. It’s location is amazing. So close to many attractions. We walked everywhere.
Hotel is very old and definitely not a 4 star as advertised. The photos shown were definitely not the photos of the room we stayed, we got the dungeon. Bad light one window locked screwed shut the other had a view of water tanks and bird faeces. Curtains were left shut
This place is extremely accessible to every point of interests. Very convenient. Having said that, the facilities are a bit old
If this is a 4 star hotel then I'm the pope
Great location but as others say needs sime investment. Walls very thin and you can hear everything going on.
Location in older touristy Rome.quaint. A boutique hotel with friendly and helpful staff.
