It was fine
The hotel is on a highway so you can hear traffic and there’s dogs that bark a lot right next door. The rooms are not soundproof and the restaurant was decent.
You can’t go out and eat and if you go to Rome, a lot of taxi drivers don’t want to drive you back They say it’s too far to get back
Hotel well situated for Ciampino Airport with transport leaving direct from hotel. Less handy if you want to spend time exploring central Rome although you can reach hotel from the middle of Rome by Metro then bus and a short walk. Hotel is clean and modern and rooms very conformable with air-conditioning and powerful shower with lots of hot water.
This hotel is conveniently located a few minutes drive from a metro station with low cost parking lot. The hotel has free parking which was great! The pool area was spacious with nice shaded spots to sit outside. The room was adequate for a family of 4. We liked having a TV to watch futball and a mini fridge to keep our drinks cold. The AC took a while to cool the room down and as the electricity is controlled with the room key, you cannot leave the AC running while away from the room. We enjoyed the free breakfast too! Would stay here again
Everything was as advertised. The breakfast was one of the best!
We used this hotel for one night as it is situated near Ciampino Airport and we had an early morning flight home. Arrived early and we were looked after superbly by the hotel staff. A down side is the local area, which is very commercial and run down with limited facilities(no shops/bars/ restaurants),however we were happy to see the hotel had a restaurant that opened in the evening. The hotel is also used by numerous tradesmen/ army personnel as well as a few couples using the airport. The restaurant opened at 7.30 pm , we went downstairs at 7.45 to find it already packed with tradespeople,we took the last table for two but saw others turned away. We ordered two.courses and waited for the starters to arrive. were awful , poorly prepared and cooked. Main courses were next, my wife’s chicken dish was very cold.so she sent it back, it was returning scalding hot obviously microwaved. My fish main course was slimy and unappetising. As the restaurant is owed by the hotel, you pay at reception via your room number.we went to complain before paying but were told bills come to them after the restaurant closes. We were checking out at 4.00 am so got down early to sort it out only to find a French couple arguing with the grumpy night manager about the same thing . We had asked for a taxi to be ordered for 4.00 am so we just paid the 80 euro bill and left for the airport. We were also ripped off by this taxi driver! don’t eat here it’s dearer than central Rome !
Would recommend
Staff excellent and friendly, cheap hotel to stay in and the pool is great value which reflects hotel
Staff here were nice overall, but the hotel is not easily accessible by a person on foot, and local taxi service does not accommodate a person speaking English. Bit of a disaster when bus services have closed and you’re stuck for a cab. It’s a Motel, not ideal for a person who is not driving.
Cheap and cheerful
Not a place for luxury but a good hotel for an overnight stay before heading to the airport. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Definitely you get what you pay for but overall we were happy.
Hotel one night
The hotel has a large hall and some facilities like swimming pool, restaurant and garden, moreover it is easy to reach from the Anagnina subway. However you have to consider that is far from the main attractions and it's a bit complicated to take public transportation to the airport. The breakfast deserved 10 Stars as it was over the expectation, and the price matched the quality. Unfortunately I didn't have a good experience due to the lack of black out curtains as the room was on sun rise site.
Disgusting
This hotel is a zero star. If hotel.com had any kind of integrity they would refund my money. I literally walled into the room and booked elsewhere. Shame in you Hotels.com
family owned and quirky with very helpful and attentive staff.
Quiet but not ideal location
Some renovation was taking place but great effort was made to minimise any inconvenience. Overall the hotel was very quiet and reasonably clean. Amenities okay but could do with a kettle in the rooms. Breakfast was limited for choice. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Very far from shops and restaurants . Also long journey involving bus and metro to get to Rome . Located on a busy motor way surrounded by industrial sites.
The hotel had good swimming pool, although small was well kept and not over busy so ideal. Gardens good for relaxing with plaenty of shade. Breakfast selection was very good, restaurant doing excellent evening meals good choice with excellent service. Only down side difficult location to get to but well worth finding, would recommend and will stay again.
The room was lovely. Was one of the newly refurbished rooms. So don't let the photo on the website of the room with horrible bed covers put you off. The pool was small but more than adequate for the amount of guests that were there during my stay. A quick dip to cool off. Staff were very nice and helpful and spoke reasonable English as my Italian was not great. Hotel is outside the City so i used a taxi €10 to the Metro station . Then got the Metro into Central Rome. €7 to travel all day on the bus or Metro brilliant. Restaurant was good, with a good choice of food on the menu in the evenings and a good amount of choice for breakfast all at a reasonable price. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel and would stay here again.
Good location for Ciampino Airport. Surrounding area is very run down and does not allow for safe walking.
Great place beautiful and good price it is undergoing rentavation and soon to be even better. People working there were terrific all around. Missing them already.
Far from city, but well organized
although it is quite far from centre of Rome hotel is well organized. they offer free shuttle bus ride to the nearest metro, where you could reach the city in no time. Metro is quite simple to understand, two major lines. Shuttle bus could pick you up until 6pm the latest. if you want to stay in the city later, then you would need to take a bus from the Metro to the Hotel. Breakfast is superb.
Bad choice
The hotel is really far away from the city center and thus from all the touristic points of interest. In order to get there you need to use 2 different means of transport: The bus for 13 stations and then the metro for another 20(so time-wise it would take one about 1-1,5 hrs to get to the centre). The walls of the room are too thin and we could hear almost everything from the room next to us. So if visiting Rome is on your mind, then this hotel is not the right choice.
Disappointing
It's not in a good location for tourist. It was hard to find. The food was terrible! I can say that the room was very clean.
Miserable staff. Situated in the middle of an industrial area. No shops or eating places. Hotel has a very limited dinner nenu
Would recommend to friends and family
Hotel was clean ... breakfast sufficed ... surrounding area was fun to explore
One of my worst ever hotel experiences. Booked a double room online and when I arrived got told I had booked a single. Wasnt happy about this and was first told they were fully booked then they all of a sudden had a room available. Only problem was this wasnt even in the hotel building. It was a small 2 room building in the car park. It was very small and full of damp. Paint hanging off the walls and mold. Bathroom was old and had bugs all over the walls. Bed felt cold and damp. We ate a meal in the hotel as the location is terrible. No where near to eat and down a horrible back street with Lorry's driving past from 5am in the morning. The food was very poor quality and the service not much better. I wouldn't give this hotel even a 1 star rating. The overnight reception was rude and miserable.
Rome Outskirts
Nice breakfast to start your day!
Rome
Worth the money, clean and easy to get in to the city by hotel free shuttle or bus.
Decent hotel, need a car though
Stayed here as uhad some business in Rome, convent for airport, and the city but you need a car as it easy to get to, nice staff, good breakfast room was nice, would stay there again
Hotel at a good location for the airport and reasonably near a metro line, what didn't help was line closures on the metro line (A) and confusion over which bus stop to get off at coming back - there are two stops with the same name, it is the second one that stops close to the hotel.
Hotel Giardino D'Europa
great people and great service. no problem at all. breakfast food was excellent
Really nice hotel. on outskirts of rome
Really nice hotel. Great staff. comfortable room. The location is on the outskirts but it is not difficult at all to get to central rome. The do offer a shuttle. The only small let down is that the surrounding area doesn't have much Around it but if you are heading into rome this isn't a problem.
Perfect hotel but is quite far.
The hotel has really good price and everything is good, and clean. The only issue is if you are coming late in the night the metro leaves you in the last stop (anangina) and the bus (503) to the hotel only runs till 10:30 so you might found yourself having to pay a taxi (15 eur) for just 8 minutes. It's hard to go walking on that area since there is the freeway nearby
Horrible Service
It has been the worst Hotel I have ever been to. The service is horrible, they are not helpful at all. the walls in the room were really dirty, the bed sheets were burned and the list goes on and on.
ignore the pictures
Whatever you do - dont go by the pictures for this hotel. The pictures look so much better than the actual hotel. The air conditioning in our room wasnt powerful enough - when we told reception we were told cant do anything about it, i'll leave a note for the morning staff. We found out, morning staff didnt do anything either, when we got back in the evening. I'd rather have paid more for another hotel. This was very very disappointing hotel. Double check distance from where you want to go visit - we found it way way too far from Central Rome and the major sights. Bath room was very small. The shower plug hole wouldnt clear quick enough so there was over flow from the shower tray spilling onto the floor. Not even a kettle in the room to make a coffee or tea. would i book this hotel again - no, i'd rather change my destination than book this hotel - total waste of money and ruined our holiday. Book with caution check everything out first.
Hidden Gem
We've been traveling all over France and Italy finding budget hotels as we go, and this is the best hotel we've stayed in so far. We purposely stayed out of central Rome to find a value hotel and we stumbled upon Giardino D'Europa. It's a wonderful little oasis about a half hour shuttle/metro ride to downtown. Super clean, loved the pool area, and the breakfast they provided is the best so far. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a budget hotel and don't mind the half hour trip to get to Rome.
Great value but noisy
Hotel was satisfactory except in the noise area, walls are very thin and we heard the neighbors late at night and crying child in the early morning after a long flight not what we had hoped for but the price was very good if that's your main concern.
Inconvenient and disappointing
Whilst the hotel was reasonably clean and nice inside, the location is truly appalling. We got stuck at Anagnina station because the shuttle we were promised would not come to get us. We eventually found a taxi. The hotel is in a bad location that was bordering on scary and very out of the way, reachable only by car. The shuttle was broken down during our stay and we had to go in the back of a car and experienced some terrifying driving. The food was nothing to write home about, but was expensive. We got charged extra for no apparent reason and overall the experience was very disappointing. Do yourself a favour and pay a little more for something better.
Nice hotel but too far from the airport
Nice hotel but they really need to update the lobby and get a shuttle to the airport. Not having transportation to the airport is the only reason I did not return after the cruise because my flight was early and I had to make sure I had a ride.
Good value for the money, but breakfast could be improved.
Extremely far from city center
I picked this hotel because it was supposedly near the city center of Rome, and it was quite the opposite. It is extremely far and not easy to get to using public transportation. This was very disappointing and I felt misled. The hotel itself is a little old, but clean and comforable.
Good location for Ciampino airport
Hotel was acceptable for one night only as a stopover for Ciampino airport. Situated in a run down industrial area with nothing to do round about which was rather disappointing. The food which we had in the hotel was not to our liking.
Decent hotel, schetchy area
after a 15 min metro, 10 min bus ride, and required walk through an auto scrapyard, the hotel is actually pretty nice, and offers decent amenities. After the shock of outer appearance, it was a good hotel.
The hotel is good and spacious but is located away from the city. A lot of time is spent travelling.
Good hotel poor location
The hotel itself was nice with great perks like continental breakfast, wifi, and shuttle service. There is also a conveniently located bus stop. Shuttle does not run later that about 8 before they charge a fee and after that they are done by 11 and buses are done by 11:30, which is inconvenient if you want to stay out later. There is about 20-30 minutes at least of travel to downtown, also, it is in a poor neighborhood and very difficult to find as no one we asked actually knew where it was. Finding the hotel took us about 2 hrs without GPS capability. If you want cheap hotel, don't mind travel time, and will be in early at night, it's a nice find.
Fantastic service and personal touch.
The staff was outstanding in every way possible.
stayed there for three nights while visiting Rome free shuttle bus from hotel to metro station then on train to Rome termini very easy and very cheap..Very far out from city of Rome and very far from Flumicino airport so will need to take taxi or transfer service to hotel,.The hotel staff were excellentt but the breakfast very poor not very much variety.
Pigsty
Awful food, poor service and in a poor part of Rome
Our Impressions
We stayed on a three-night deal which was inexpensive and very good value. Our room was not in the main hotel but within the grounds similar to a motel arrangement. Breakfast was provided in the main hotel building. The grounds were planted with many types of palm tree and the general ambience reminded us of Florida. Free mini bus transport was available to and from the local metro station to pick up a regular train service to the centre of Rome. Altogether an enjoyable experience which we hope to repeat soon.
We enjoy our stay, kids loved that there is a swimming pool which is great to relax especially after long hours exploring Rome
A cab is pretty much required to get there. It was frustrating for someone who was on a budget and had a public transportation card.
Cheap and comfortable but lousy location
The hotel webpage needs to be updated with information on how to get to there from Ciampino if arriveval is after shuttlebus departures. The roads surronding the hotel are not walking friendly, and we had to pass through a man-made tunnel under the motorway to get there. Shuttlebuses would take us back and forth to Anagnina station as we wanted, which was nice considering our alternatives. Hotel in itself was pleasant with nice big rooms, bathrooms, a breakfat with variety and friendly staff.
Rubbish !!!
The hotel was located beside a busy road with nothing else in the area, no bars, shops or restaurants so you were stuck in the hotel with no facilities after 10PM. The evening meal was nice though, which is more than can be said for breakfast, the coffee was never more than lukewarm, the fruit salad was tinned but there was a selection of cereals and bread and croissants with ham and cheese as well as hard boiled eggs, fresh apples and pears The hotel was well outside Rome, about a 20/30 minute train trip which wasn't bad at 1 Euro each way. The hotel provided a mini bus shuttle service between the hotel and the station which had to be booked. The earliest shuttle in the morning was 8.15 so if you had to be in Rome before 9.00 am you had take a taxi to the station which cost us 17 Euros. On our last day we were due to be picked up at 17.15 at the station as we were leaving the hotel at 18.00 but the minibus did not turn up and we had to get a taxi back just making it in time for our pick up at a cost of another 17 Euros. The hotel staff said the minibus did turn up but we did not see it and we were waiting from 17.00 to 17.40. The room was fine with good air conditioning and very clean. Tea and coffee facilites were supplied on request but they came with no milk and they were taken away the following day but supplied again later again on request but as it was after 9.30 they could not give us a kettle, even though this time the milk was supplied, what was the point?
Value for money
Hotel clean & comfortable,. Staff polite & friendly. Hotel shuttle bus to & from the airport & bus/train station, fantastic. Breakfast buffet had a variety to choose from , value for money. Swimming pool always kept clean. Restaurant evening set meal was good quality & value for money. Location not so good,
Very Easy and Friendly - Will stay there again!
Of all the hotels we stayed at over the last few weeks in Italy this hotel, the cheapest, was the best. It was very clean, comfortable and the staff were very helpful and spoke good English. There was a courtesy bus to pick up and collect from airport and metro so the actual location was unimportant and close to both. (very difficult to find ourselves by car though!!!) The rooms were clean and gave enough room for the three beds we booked in each room. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh, again everything was done with thought and care. I will stay again and thank all the staff for making our stay this week very easy and comfortable.
Not what we expected...
We booked this hotel for convenience as we had an early morning flight out of Ciampino the following day - the free shuttle and full breakfast were also important factors. The hotel itself was a little further from Rome than we expected, as we ended up paying a hefty cab fare to get there. Upon check in, we were informed that the airport shuttle only operates at certain times, therefore we wouldn't be able to use it to make our flight. (We ended up taking a cab, so add another larger than expected cab fare for this one night stay.) We were also told that breakfast didn't start until after we had to leave. There was a sign posted on the front desk that the restaurant would not be open that day either. (The location of this hotel is between two major expressways, so there was no walking to get anywhere else, either.) As a final kicker, we'd booked a non-smoking room, and were nearly knocked over with the smell of smoke upon entering our room. After a long day of traveling to get there, we were less than thrilled with our choice. We ended up paying more in cab fare than we did for our room. On a more positive note, aside from the smoke smell, the hotel was relatively clean, and the facilities appeared to be pretty nice. We understand that "you get what you pay for," however, the amenities discussed in the hotels.com ad were not as they seemed.

Dejligt sted. Hyggeligt og roligt. Gode værelser, senge og sødt personale
Camera mto spaziosa e pulita.

In corridoio abbiamo trovato uno scarafaggio
Sosta a Roma
Per me è davvero comodo.
Roma
Molto pulito, personale cordiale. Da riprenotare.
Gradevole e pulito , personale disponibile e accogliente
God service

All in all we were pleased with our stay and it was good value for what we paid. Generelly staff was freindly and helpfull. At breakfest however they refused to make more scrambled eggs when it was out. All thoug we were in good time. What an attitude. !
Lavori in corso
Deludente.
Hotel Giardino D'Europa | Hotel in Rome | Travala.com
A perfect choice for overnight stay close to Ciampino airport. Clean comfortable rooms, every member of staff was friendly and helpful. The attached restaurant serves good food at a reasonable price. Don't be put off by the approach to the hotel when you arrive you will love it.
