Very nice property, clean and convenient.
We stayed four nights, the staff was friendly and helpful. Tysm
Good overall
Great Stay
Great location, close to the Spanish steps and metro. Lots of restaurants and bars near by.
Great location for all the key sites and hop on buses. Nice restaurants in the area. No breakfast served. Smallest shower I've ever tried using in 50 years of traveling the world. SQUEEZE through the shower doors and don't drop the soap!
Great, friendly staff and the hotel is in a great location. However the rooms leave a lot to be desired. The TV and toilet did not work in my room, but the staff moved me to a better room. The toilet did work in the new room, but the TV still didn't. If I was rating just the staff and location I would give this 5/5, but the rooms themselves are 2/5 at best.
Great staff, and surroundings.
Overall I was really happy with my stay
Estaba bien
It was convenient the people they were very nice. I definitely would be standing and it was walkable to everything. Didn’t have an issue housekeeping came every day. Front desk was available all day. I really like staying there.
i have no complaints for this hotel. The staff that i came into contact with were helpful and nice. the bathroom and room was clean.
En lineas generales bien. 3 estrellas.
Good for the price.
good
Joy was amazing! Thank you!
Great staff with a lovely restaurant down stairs. Joy the receptionist was lovely.
Excellent service! Cute hotel for an Italy trip. Joy in the front desk was amazing and kind! it was so nice that we didnt want to leave Italy we felt so comfortable in Garda hotel! Clean, comfy. Thank you so much we will stay here when we come back again!
Hotel was very easy to find. I stayed there for 3 days and it was a very comfortable place. Main attractions and good restaurants are close to hotel, I walked to all of this places. Employees were very friendly and helpful to answer my questions. If I go back to Rome I would for sure stay in Hotel Garda.
Small room enough only for 1 person. I like the veranda so you can see what's happening outside. Many restaurants in the area. Walkable to tourist spot. Barberini station just 5-7 mins walk. The Filipina receptionist very friendly 5 stars for her. Highly recommended for solo traveler.
There were good, convenient dining options very close to the hotel. The Via Veneto was a short walk away. There was no breakfast or bar which was a negative.
Garda
I’m an American. It was hard to find. Late evening arrival made finding an address difficult and it is not a stand alone hotel. The locked doors made me feel safe. The tiny room was difficult to navigate and the antique bedding made me feel like I was staying at my great grandmother’s home. A driver was supposed to meet me at the airport and the desk staff never noted the pick up. Needless to mention I was left without a ride. Street parking is next to impossible as Rome is quite populated.
This hotel did the job in every way. Basic, but nice.
My stay at Hotel Garda in Rome was very pleasant. We arrived early, and they allowed us to leave our luggage. The check-in process was very quick. The room was of regular size, with a double bed, small nightstands, and a large wardrobe for our clothes. There was also a desk with a chair and a small television mounted on the wall in front of the bed. The bathroom was a good size, clean, and had plenty of towels. The only issue we encountered on the first day was that the toilet wasn't working, but it was promptly repaired the following morning. The shower, while small, was functional. The staff at the reception were very friendly and always available to help. The hotel is conveniently located near everything—restaurants and the train station are just a 5-minute walk away. We walked to the Spanish Steps in about 20 minutes, which went by quickly because of the interesting surroundings. Rome is a city where you walk a lot; we walked about 7 to 9 miles daily. We loved the hotel.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Garda. It was the perfect location for our visit to Rome. If I had to critique the only bad thing I could say is I didnt like the bed, just because it was two twins put together instead of a queen. The staff are incredible, they will help you with anything you need and it is close to all the sights
The staff at Hotel Garda was amazing and extremely helpful. The place was clean and nice. Everything was within walking distance or the staff was very helpful in calling a taxi or directing to public transport. Shopping was within walking distance and I mean Shopping!!! Tons of it! We would definitely recommend Hotel Garda to anyone !
Nice place to stay with friendly staff.
Very close to main attractions. Staff were very nice!
Great location, very helpful stuff.
Having the AC was amazing. Very European (a lot of stairs but there’s an old elevator in the center of the building). Super walkable to all the must see sights. Extremely friendly and helpful staff!
They let me check in early very friendly and helpful
They let me do the check-in earlier very friendly and attended to my necessity
Front door is hard to find but main lobby is on 4th floor. Fantastic helpful staff. Clean room. Very satisfied
Very good location, staff was very helpful.
In the city center the restaurants are right outside that has great food 😋 near everything the staff is super, super helpful highly recommend
Excellent
We stayed 3 nights and it was great. Hotel is located 20 minutes walking distance to the Coliseum, San Angelo and the train station, and 10 minutes away from the Trevi Fountain. Our room was clean, tidy and well maintained. Our washroom was somewhat narrow for North America standards, but we didn’t had an issue. Hotel staff was great and responsive. Upon arrival we were provided with a discount voucher for downstairs restaurant. Our room’s safety box was not working, but we were able to use one of the safetys located at the front desk. If you are looking for a place to crash after a full day of sightseeing, Hotel Garda is a good option.
location was awesome and the front desk are very helpful.
.
Air con is pathetic ! Ask to keep looking at rooms
Had to change 3 rooms to find the clean one but that staff was accommodating and willing to help. In the end it was 2 sleepless nights since the air conditioning was just not good enough for the room to get below 27 degrees . This was the case in 3 rooms I tried
Lost and frustrated and hours to locate
Terrible not easily able to find even locas could find street no sign had to have pin to enter awful left one day esrly
Great !
Abbiamo soggiornato per una notte. La camera carina, pulita e silenziosa. Il personale super gentile e disponibile. Altamente raccomandato!
I needed somewhere inexpensive near the US Embassy. This place fit the bill and exceeded my expectations. Hotel staff was beyond helpful. Location was great. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
I had a good experience at Hotel Garda, but I think it could be a bit better for the price. It's a small hotel inside a larger building, so it's not immediately obvious how to enter or exit, or even that you're in the right place. It would be helpful if there was a sign outside that's more visible from the street. I also chose this hotel because Expedia said it had laundry service, but that turned out not to be the case. The physical keys are also a bit outdated; it would be easier and more convenient to use keycards. Having to hand your key in at the front desk every time you leave the hotel and then retrieve it every time you come back can be a bit of a hassle. On the plus side, the staff is wonderful and very helpful. The hotel is quiet and safe, too, which I appreciated.
I would have liked to see a few more towel racks in the bathroom. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay immensely great price for the room and the area was in a long walking distance to the Trevi fountain, Pantheon etc..
Great stay - will be back!
Hotel room was recently renovated and lovely. We had air-conditioning and small balcony. The bathroom was very nice, as was the large wardrobe and tv (we had 2 kids w/ us). There was no bar or food options within the hotel, but there was a lovely restaurant right below on the street that was open for breakfast thru dinner (at least during our stay in July). We parked in the paid parking garage one street over. The hotel did have an elevator and someone was always at the desk 24/7 to buzz you in. Walking wasn't a concern for anyone in our family, so we thought it was a great location for the price.
We loved our stay here, the staff were amazing , lots of stuff in walking distance, Ill be staying here the next time I visit Rome ....HOTEL GARDA 11 OUT OF 10
Family vacation. Great little hotel. Room was very nice. Staff was as always helpful. Nice restaurants and coffee shops near the hotel. .
Good spot, friendly staff. Location didn’t match address, bit more clarification would have been nice.
The room was very small, with a single bed.
The hotel is situated in a great area of Rome, close to the major sightseeing spots. The front desk staff was incredibly polite, helpful and professional, all speaking excellent English. Most likely one of the best values in a very competitive industry. Truly, a great place for a budget conscious and experienced traveller. Thank you again! HRW
Very responsive and helpful staff. There are so many good restaurants around to try, with pharmacy and mini market right across the street. If you like walking around it’s perfect, we walked to all of the sites we wanted to see. The showers are extremely small so need to be prepared for that, but otherwise all worked well! Would definitely recommend to anyone we know visiting Rome!
Our hotel was a decent walk away from everything we wanted to see: Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Colosseum, and everything in-between! The staff were very friendly and the room was always cleaned when we returned from our adventures.
Very good overall
We would like a partial refund
My husband was sick when we left. There was a blue branded jacket and Nike black tekkies left in the room after check out. When we called they advised, nothing was left in the room. This cost us 200€. We would think paying this amount of money per night we could expect left items to be returned. It took us forever to get through to the hotel telephonically and they didnt help when we eventually got through to them. We request a refund of €200 for our loss. An added frustration is the hotel states there is parking available but they do not mention it is 20€ per day and over a block away from the hotel. Which is also not the cleanest hotel.
The staff was great! From check in to every time we would return to get the key from the front desk, as you leave it when you leave. Their photos seem to have newer rooms but still some dated rooms, we received a dated room. The bathroom is a bit tight getting in and out of the shower, as there is the toilet and a bidet.
Great location and the front desk very helpful
Location was excellent. Walking distance to Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Staff were friendly.
Needs some updates and quite confusing entering the hotel and getting to registration, but overall was acceptable for a 2 night stay
Great location - basic room
Best thing about this hotel is the location - short walk to Spanish steps and Trevi fountain and easy 15 min walk to Rome Temini. Room was basic with good cooking and good bathroom. Cannot complain about this room.
Location was great. They offer continental breakfast on their website but did not get it. That should be taken off the website.
Easy walk to most tourist sites. Vatican was an easy taxi ride. Many breakfast cafes and dinner options minutes from the front door. A/C broken in our first room and hotel moved us with relative ease. Staff willing to call for taxi as needed.
Nice hotel, just needs some updates in the room and bathroom. Would not go back though.
Picked this hotel due to its proximity to Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Spagna Metro station. Was about a 10 min walk. The hotel block has many dining options and a pharmacy in the area. Area felt safe. Staff was extremely pleasant. Able to book their van to the airport. Room had a mini frig, a TV though everything in italian, nice size bathroom and shower. Make sure to have an adaptor for your electronics. There is also no iron or kleenex provided. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!
Was a great stay! Loved the terrace in my room. Great location!
Staffs were nice and friendly. Rooms were fine. Decent location to nearby attractions.
Great location, poor room
Hotel was ok. Great location, but the pictures of the room booked and the roomed we received were totally different.
No breakfast available despite photos of breakfast on website. Toilet squeezed into a tiny space so that I could only sit sideways on it
A bit of an old fashioned room with amenities that could be renovated. There was some dust in corners of the floor of the bathroom. It was fine for one night though and super kind staff.
Best experience! Thank you for everything!
The hotel is conveniently located in a quiet area. It was a little difficult to find the check in desk from the street, especially for someone with impaired vision. The elevator is much appreciated as the check in is on the 4th floor and my room was on the 5th floor. My room was clean and quiet. However, the bed was very hard and uncomfortable, sadly, as were the pillows. I'd expect more comfort in a place at this price point. Two nights left me with aches and pain, especially after walking to see all the beautiful sights. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of good restaurants nearby.
This is the second time I stayed here and it’s even better than first time. Staff is wonderful, room was excellent and the area has great restaurants. All sightseeing places are within walking distance. We never used, either taxi or public transportation. Overall excellent experience.
Wonderful service, great location
I was a little worried as there were mixed reviews but this place is fantastic. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The bathrooms were new and very clean. What really makes it is the staff, they are first class, very friendly and go out of their way to welcome you and help with an requests. The location is wonderful, 10 minute walk from the Trevi fountain but at the same time it's in a very quiet neighbourhood so you can escape the busy centre. There are some excellent cafes nearby for morning cafe and decent restaurants plus a grocery store next door. Barberini metro is only 6 minute walk away.
Okay
unique hotel with excellent, caring, super nice, polite staff: each and every hotel staff: from cleaning crew to desk crew very convenient safe location…unique hotel
I am so grateful that I picked this property. It is walking distance to everything!!! There is also an excellent restaurant right next door. If you need to relax from all the walking you've done all day, you can also enjoy a wonderful massage a few doors down from the hotel. Most importantly, however, I want to boast about how kind and helpful the staff was. I especially want to thank Joy for all her help. Without her guidance, I would have been lost.
Check in service
Street address number on site is not clear. Taxi sent to the wrong location. Face problem at front door to access the building. No one answer the bell. Do not expect great breakfast. Coffee and bread is the basic.
Good value
It’s in a good location , about 10-15 mins walk to Spanish steps, close to shopping center, hotel staff are very friendly and helpful , the neighborhood is pretty safe
Great place in walking distance to attractions and city centre. Lost points for the safe not working in my room. Not enough of them at reception either. Other than that no complaints.
Ur here for the location nothing else
The rooms are super small and the bathroom terrible. If you're a size 12 (US)or more, you will touch the doors to get into the shower. The bathroom needs to be completely redone. There is mold in the shower, our shower head was broken, there were traces on the walls and so one. TheAC works and it's necessary but it makes sooo much noise. The workers were nice enough but the owner need to refresh his place because we could hear everything from the hallway, we could hear our neighbours shower and the internet was working 1/3 of the time. This is not a 3 stars hotel, or at least not anymore.
Clean, quiet, correct. Excellent location, walking distance to all attractions. Pictures of building in website were probably from a different entrance than the one from which we entered the building. Nothing wrong with the entrance and building but didn’t match. The only complaint we have is that the bed cover had a stain and after we took it off the bed and grabbed one of the spares, that one also had a stain.
Excelent service.
The staff is simply amazing!!!
Fue muy buena el personal muy amable
Definitely Recommended
The staff are very nice and professional! The area is accessible to a lot of places!
Great location. Great staff.
Excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff. A great experience.
Hotel is in a beautiful old building and looks quite fancy when you first get to the hotel floor. But bed was very uncomfortable and plumbing not spectacular. Staff were wonderful and helpful. Breakfast pastries were delicious. A little further out than I had wanted to stay. Lots and lots of walking.
Convenient small hoyel
A nice little hotel in a residential block. A number of good restaurants locally as well. A continental breakfast was also included. O
A good base in Rome
Hotel Garda was a good base for us in Rome. It’s well located in the historic centre within easy walking distance of the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and the fabulous Galleria Borghese. Spagna Metro station is also an easy walk. Breakfast was fabulous and the staff were friendly and helpful upon request. We expected a smallish room but our room for 4 was a very tight squeeze, not much bigger than the 4 beds. It’s located on the 4th and 5th floors of the building so there is no street frontage. You have to look for the plaque on the wall and a small sign when you first arrive.
Clean, basic room
Clean, basic room for a cheap price in a convenient location in Rome.
Very kind and informative staff. I enjoyed the 4 night stay.
The hotel is well situated for exploring the sights of Rome. The beds are comfortable and the room adequate in size. The surrounding area has restaurants convenient shops and cafes.
Quiet neighborhood in great location for accessing all the sights on foot. Friendly and communicative staff. Decor is stylistically dated but not worn which lends a nice charm. Very clean. Quiet street and comfortable bed. Only drawback for mw was the a/c would only cool to 26C after being left on for several hours. Hot water was inconsistent but all in all I would stay there again. Great value.
The hotel is very safe to stay and easy to check in. I checked in at 1am
Great hotel
Came with my wife to enjoy Europe. Very nice hotel and staff was very pleasant. Would visit again.
Clean and centrally located hotel with great staffs.
Great location
Great staff but room and bath super small

This 3 star hotel has basic amenities and is clean but overall the room and interior is very dated. Quality of bed is passable. Location: it's a 10 minute walk to Barberini metro. It's located on 4th floor of a multi-purpose building. Press a buzzer to get in from outside, press another buzzer to get through gate to elevators to get to 4th floor. 24 hour concierge present.
