Excellent location. Room was very quiet considering the traffic on Rue de Rivoli. The pictures of the rooms on their website are very old. Everything could use a coat of paint but that’s part of the charm too.
Perfect location you can walk everywhere from the hotel.rooms are small but it is paris we know that hotel bedroom are tiny Staff was pleasant
Cozy, clean, great staff, great location.
Very convenient for Paris central area, definitely come back if I visit Paris again
Lovely little place!
We just used this hotel as we had an overnight layover at the airport. It was perfect for what we needed it for! We arrived quite late in the evening and headed out very early to have a walk, the desk was manned at all hours which made checking in and out very stress free! Thank you to the team for a lovely, albeit short stay!
I enjoyed my stay very much. Comfortable, safe, clean and very helpful and kind staff. Would definitely stay here again. Bonus pounts for the super comfy bed and pillows.
Very near to transportation and other shopping places . Walk to louvre and lots of dining options around the area
Couple stay in Paris
Great hotel in Paris. Super close to many restaurants, cafes and attractions. The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was small but fair for the price
The Hotel appears neglected and in need of paint. The carpets are badly stained throughout. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was clean even with the appearance of being run down. The location is great.
Great Staff
Rooms are extremely small. If you stay make sure you get balcony room . A little more room. view of the street. Other very small rooms have view of horrible court yard. Staff was very nice. I would go back because of staff only. Very old needs updating on everything. Carpets horrible.
Perfect Location (center of Paris)
Great location in the center of Paris . The stall is wonderful . Perfect location but the only inconvenience our room was very small so if you have a lot of luggage. Please consider. Except that I would recommend this hotel
The shower curtain didn’t close all the way so there was water all over the bathroom floor. It rained and we were on the top floor room and there was a leakage right on top of the bed. They did move us out asap so the staff was helpful
The location was excellent, however the room was too small and was not cleaned properly
Shower was very small, as was the room, but it is Paris ! Great location though and friendly staff.
In the heart of Le Marais - walking distance to Notre Dame- 5 minute walk to Metro
This was old property converted for Hotel. Sadly there was leak just above the head at front reception from roof/ceiling. This wasn't fixed while we were leaving after our two night's stay there. Shower Gel bottle was empty over the bath so we needed to buy our own. We reported this at the reception but there was no shower gel bottle in hotel stock. We had continental breakfast on 2nd day and this was fine. Reception staffs were polite welcoming and very helpful. Location of the hotel was very convenient to reach famous landmarks and river Seine within walking distance . That was very convenient. We love to visit Romantic Paris again soon.
Good hotel Well located Friendly staff Clean
This property is old without A/C. Floor fan and space heater for cold nights. Staff is great and helpful. Location is great. Breakfast is great. Get a room with a window. a must.
The location was so good and the staff was so friendly. The bed was clean and comfortable. However, having to open at night was a bit inconvenient because there was no air conditioner and I had to use a small fan instead.
Once all the remodeling is done, it will be amazing.
First off, this is a bed and breakfast-not a hotel. There is a lounge - not a lobby. No amenities except for a small table with a water bottle (if you are lucky) and a coffee machine. The standard room I received was not as pictured on Expedia. It was so bad that we ended up finding another hotel and leaving the property without getting a refund (the manager dodged calls from Expedia). My suggestion is not to go to this place. It is dirty, small and IMO quite unsafe. No AC, very dusty and dirty and not worth it. The location is cute area, but I would recommend staying on the other side of the river at Citadines hotel.
This hotel is not quite what I thought it would be and doesn’t look like the pictures at all. For the price definitely not worth the value. It is quiet but small and very outdated. The room had a very odd smell and a twin bed, no temperature control and wasn’t nice at all. I live in NYC and you can get a nicer hotel for the price I paid… but if location is what you’re looking for it’s perfect for that - but all else you will be disappointed for sire
Boutique hotel scores big
Jean was terrific in guiding us. Loved this part of Paris. Yes, the lift was tiny, and it was a little difficult to get in and out of the tub, but those are the only negatives. The view from the balcony and the proximity to the lovely neighborhood made it all a wonderful memory of Paris.
This hotel was ideal for our intended stay. Near metro and bus stations. Location was perfect and lots of restaurants near by. Staff was friendly and room/bed was clean. Overall great for what we needed.
We had a very nice experience with this hotel. The staff is pleasant and welcoming. I would like to thank Jean for his hospitality and service. The hotel is clean. They clean rooms every day. There is some free instant coffee and tea bags in the room, a teapot.
Great location in The Marais. Tiny rooms and bathrooms with old fittings.
this hotel is very well located for all the normal tourist sites and close to loads of restaurants and boulangeries.
Spring stay in Paris
The hotel is a bit tired but it is very clean. The location is excellent for all the tourist areas. There were no phones in the rooms so room to room communication has to be face to face.
I had a horrendous experience at this hotel. During my stay, my suitcases were tampered with, leaving the locks and zips completely broken, making them unusable. To make matters worse, some valuable items were stolen from my luggage. It has now been 5 months since this incident, and the hotel has failed to provide any form of refund or compensation. This hotel is incredibly unsafe, as evidenced by the theft I experienced, and the cleanliness left much to be desired. I would strongly advise against staying at this establishment if you value your belongings and overall well-being. The lack of security and poor customer service make this a place to avoid at all costs.
Friendly staff, my room was clean and the building is old, they have small elevator.
Great location, lots of restaurants nearby, friendly staff, especially Jean!
We did not like our hotel room to start off with but was upgraded to a better room on day 2 with a balcony which we thought we had ordered from the start
Great location
Friendly staff and amazing location. It's within walking distance of the Louvre and Notre Dame and very close to Metro station Line 1. You might not find the hotel when you arrive as there are no signs—it's next to the Jazz Club. The bed was very comfortable and clean, but the room needed a bit of updating. The location was so great that we ignored the state of the room. Highly recommended if you travel on a budget.
This is an older property but they do a great job at upkeep. Staff was friendly, helpful, and always available. They also speak English. There was no fridge in my room which was inconvenient but the staff kept my food in their kitchen fridge and heated it up when requested. The location was perfect!
Situated in a great locale, closer access to hundreds of restaurants, bars, clubs, and shopping options. Conveniently, it’s also within walking distance to the most renowned tourist attractions. Very friendly staff.
The hotel is in a good area full of restaurants and close to bus stops and Metro. The hotel staff was very attentive and professional. The lady at the reception was very helpful. The cleaning lady left the room spotless every day. Now the bad stuff: the room was very small, the bathroom always smelled like sewage, even right after being cleaned, every time other rooms flushed The toilet you could hear the water running and being flush making loud noises. The walls are very thin and you can hear conversations.
This property misrepresented itself in photos and was not near as nice as I was expecting. Paint was chipping everywhere, the A/C didn’t work in my room, and there was a massive hole in the ceiling outside of my room. I found the location to be convenient and the bed to be comfortable, but the overall condition of the property is not good.
In spite of being on a busy road there was no traffic noise at all. I particularly liked the first floor lounge which was light and airy. The staff were helpful and courteous and contributed to an extremely pleasant stay.
This property is miserable. The rooms were as big as a large closet. The mattress was terrible to sleep in it would sink and I would be pushing my wife. The carpet was filthy. The air was non functional. The carpet on the stairs was badly stained. As we opened the windows to get some air, the walls outside the paint was peeling. Don’t stay here it’s a dump.
Awesome location for getting in and around the busiest part of Paris old town. Only 5-10 minutes walk in each direction gets you to the Louvre Museum, the Pompidou, Notre Dame Cathedral, Bastille monument and more. Rooms are tiny as is most accommodation in Paris, and by Australian standards is horribly overpriced as also is most accommodation in Paris anyway. But it's clean and well presented. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the communal lounge area is lovely, complete with a Beko coffee machine. Overall we enjoyed our stay, and especially how convenient the location was.
Staff were excellent and very helpful and friendly, the location was superb, close to great bars, food, metro and attractions. The room was showing its age, would recommend staying here to friends.
Central location, easy to walk to all major areas
Pros: Convenient location, friendly staff, nice simple breakfast, near Metro, restaurants and historical sghts. Cons: small room. chipped wall paint, cracked tile in bathroom floor.
The hotel is very disappointing. Hotels.com should make it very clear that this hotel does not have air conditioning (has not had it since 2018). With over 86 degrees and a tiny fan, the heat is oppressive in the room and bad for our health as a 60-year old couple. The hotel does not have a fridge so we cannot store any cold drink. They don't even offer in room bottled water which even a 2 star hotel does in many instances. They have a big bottle of water for people to share in the sitting area but it is almost always empty. We would not recommend this hotel to a friend given that for the same price, you can stay at a rather nice and comfortable one. This experience makes us loose a bit of confidence in hotels.com. Hotels.com also asked us to provide feedback while we were still there so that they could make things better but nothing came of that feedback. Waste of time.
Small. Unsafe shower access. Hot. Old property.
!
Great location near bars and Restaurants
The Hotel is perfectly located. 6 min away thw St.Louis Island and bear by you can get bikes and scooters for rent. The Pillows were smelly and if you go during spring they don’t activate the AC so you need to open the windows and if you are noise sensitive is not the hotel for you.
Hotel France Louvre
This hotel is in a great location. However it badly needs a makeover - new paint, carpet, etc.
Fabulous location. SMALL rooms, nothing worked…outlets, lights above sink, telephone, night stands on floor. Paint and stains on carpets and walls. Run down and very tired hotel.
Quick visit in central Paris
Hotel room was very small, walls were paper thin and bathroom had a bad smell. Price was decent, location was centrally located and for a quick visit it was ok.
There were no fire escapes, only the stairs which was tight ad winding and a tight 2 person lift.
The room was exactly as stated, clean, comfortable and lovely staff. The rate fits the standard of the rooms, but the convenience of the location, the surrounding areas for dining and shopping were just awesome. Don't book these rooms if you intend to stay in it all day. We just bathed and slept, so perfect. Thank you, my young daughter and I have a lovely time.
Me gusto mucho la localidad y la vista, muy limpio excelente servicio
Typical Parisian room - small, but clean and adequate. Staff were wonderful and very helpful.
We had a lovely stay and will return.
Staff were lovely.
The hotel is in a great area! Near so many restaurants and great shops. It’s clean and the staff is very friendly. Check in and check out we’re fast and easy. Overall it was a great stay. Just know that there is no central air or heating when booking this hotel.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Awful property. Needs renovation and fixed fire smoke detectors as they were broken as were other things.
Great location as close to Hôtel de Ville Metro and easy to walk to traditional tourist spots. Staff were lovely but hotel in need of some tlc. No aircon but room did have a fab. Elevator can only take luggage as “unsafe”. Shower was poor and didn’t sit well in the fitting so made it difficult to shower. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would rerun for the location.
No air conditioning
The hotel was very obviously run down. The only major complaint was that it didn’t have functioning air conditioning which made it unbearable in July. Would never stay here again.
Very friendly staff and a great location. Hotel is a bit dated and could use some freshening up. AC didn’t work / was non-existent but luckily they put a table fan in the room which helps.
The location was great, right Hotel de Ville. My room was very quiet. The staff was always curtious. The towels had a very strong detergent smell and some were stained. The carpet was dingy.
Room was nothing like advertised. I have pics; not sure how to share the picture on the website and what I saw. $125 per night and no AC? Staff at front desk was not friendly; seemed to only care about getting your credit card. Only positive thing is location!
Very cosy no-frills hotel in Rue de Rivoli, in the heart of the Marais. Extremely close to the metro which takes you to all the main tourist spots in the city. Hotel was very clean, if basic. Comfy bed, steady hot water in the shower. Air conditioning. No mini bar or fridge in the room which was a little inconvenient but not the end of the world. 24 Hour reception, baggage locker and communal 'lounge' area with nice view of the street. 10/10 would stay again.
Worst place to stay at. I put complaint in and they said owner would get back and he never did or they just were avoiding me. I will never go Back to Paris also people are So rude
This is a great value three star hotel with a brilliant location for visiting Paris. Don’t expect luxury but the staff are really helpful. We regularly stay here.
Old tiny hotel. They dont even have nice white towels in the bathroom.
Broken bathroom floor tiles. Our toilet leaked water onto the bathroom floor all day. The bath tub didn't drain. We brought it up to management who seemed surprised by this news. Housekeeping never refilled our amenities (shampoo, body wash, etc). Mold in every corner of the bathroom.
While the location was good, would never stay again. Room smelled, no control of temperature in the room and staff unable to assist.
Really great staff and location, but the rooms was very shabby and I didn't get any WiFi signal at all. I would definitely try a different place next time
The hotel worker was absolutely not friendly not welcoming and too busy with his own problems i
Great location! Walking distance to everything I wanted to see including public transportation. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Marais Hotel
Hotel has great location in the Marais. Updating is needed in the room but it was clean and comfortable. The only problem is that the elevator is very small.
It was a great location and the staff were pleasant. The room was quite small. The only outlet in the bathroom was restricted to shavers only. There was an outlet that was partly coming out of the wall which was concerning. When they cleaned the room, they did not refresh the coffee/tea supplies. In fact someone had obviously spilled something in the tea/coffee holder because the tea bags were stuck together with something sticky. But the price was great and the location was convenient and the staff spoke english and were very friendly.
A big scam. Room 55
They made you pay 170€ per night for a disgusting and dirty room where everything is in bad condition. The room smelled bad, there was dirt on the carpet and on the walls. Hairs on the tiles of the bathroom. Mold in the shower, on the window and on the ceiling. It's a shame to rent such a disgusting room. We were supposed to stay there 3 nigths but because they were not able to give us a decent room, we asked for a refund. A proof that they know the room is a shame, they accept the refund we asked even if it was prohibited by the booking contract. There is a big difference between a room that is outdated and a room badly maintained but it seems they don't know it. When I asked for an other room because this one was dirty, they told me that the room was clean, it was only old... I'll let you take a look at the pictures. The only positive thing about this place is the nice restaurants and bakeries nearby.
Small unclean and uncomfortable
The room did not look anything like the photos online. I requested and paid for a deluxe room and got a standard size room. The bed did not look like it had fresh sheets and the towels in the bathroom were very small and thin. The bathroom door had a hole in it and the door handle kept falling off. Overall it did not live up to the expectations noted on hotels.com.
paris stay 3 days
great location. room is very small with view to the internal yard (so no view at all), but since i only spent the nights there it was ok. very friendly and helpful staff, check in and check out was easy and quick. good value for the price
This is a very basic hotel. One of our double rooms needed a refresh, the other double was great. Rooms at the front are noisy due to the main road - but this was the better of the 2 rooms. Large communal lounge - great.
A Great Find
Well located comfortable hotel between two convenient metro stops. The rooms are compact and well maintained. The staff members are friendly and helpful. The neighbourhood is full of restaurants and shopping options. This was a repeat visit to this property and I have already booked for return stay.
The location of the hotel can't be beat, just a few steps from stores, bars, restaurants and things to do. The front desk staff is helpful. The rooms are small and the WiFi does not work on the fifth floor.
Great location just steps from cafes, transportation and stores. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Poor and poor. The room awful and there is not view, the room is very very old
The staff was great! The walls need some paint on them. I’m real person chickadee about my towels so I feel like the towels needed to be bleached. Again the staff was great and the breakfast was pretty good.
Adequate for sleeping
The single room is very small and on the interior of the building so no view. This is a vintage building so expect to hear the plumbing and other residents coming and going.
Great location but many of the amenities were outdated. The room refrigerator didn’t work. Towels smelled very strongly of laundry detergent. Internet was very slow.
This small hotel has an excellent location, which allows us to walk to many Paris attractions. We love staying on the top floor, with a balcony and a lovely view of Rivoli street. We enjoyed the performance at the Jazz Club 38Riv, next door. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Bed was comfortable and bed/bath linens always clean and fresh. Afternoon coffee is a delightful touch!
Great location, and friendly staff. I suppose you get what you pay for though, the rooms are tiny, and need to be updated. The carpets have stains all over them. However, the room was clean and the bed was relatively comfortable.
The staff was super friendly. It was a place for us to sleep. The towels smelled amazing. I know it sounds strange it they smelled amazing. The elevator is typical for the Marais. It the location was the best. Metro Stop Hotel DeVille was a block away.
No phone connection to receptionist. Bathroom door not opening & closing. Carpet dirty and spots on it. Toilet licking. Some lights not working . Dirty bathroom. No remote control for TV. Carpet dirty on Hallway and stairway.
Rooms are small but it’s all about the location Clean hotel an bed comfy but don’t go by pictures on web site nothing like what you get ! But if you want to be central to everything an happy with I would say 2 star then go for it
Location Location!!
the location makes up for the age of this hotel. Walking distance to Notre Dame, Louvre, and many restaurants! The beds are so comfortable and my room had a Juliet balcony facing the street- yet there was little to no road noise. There is a bus stop out front which makes for easy public transportation. SET UP AIRPORT RIDES THROUGH THE HOTEL if you aren’t taking the train. We ended up paying 84 euros for an Uber to the Airport instead of the 36 Euros to advance book a ride. There is a small old-style elevator as well as stairs. The lounge has a desktop computer and the WiFi works decently. Also, the bathroom had heated flooring which was nice.
I paid for a superior room for five nights. I was given a small room w/ dirty carpet, overlooking an alley on the 4th floor. Only one wall plug worked, one overhead light and one broken wall lamp, bath tiles cracked, no air, tv did not work, hairdryer broken. Misleading website pictures and descriptions. Would never recommend this hotel.
Excellent location. Pleasantt staff. This property needs go have money invested in it for upkeep. Our room had functioning AC but our friends room had not. Our safe deposit box was broken and we were told it could not be fixed. Breakfast offering not worth 12 euros.
Great location
Nothing glamorous, but great location and perfectly functional. Staff was very kind. Bed was comfortable Room and bathroom very small
Very good location in Marais District. My room offered a typical slice of Parisian life. Through my window I observed a man with big feet enjoying his Friday evening take-away in front of the television, and this morning two boys returned and played their French radio station loud. Through my bedroom window pushed a sultry Parisian breeze. Loved my hotel room. .
I appreciated that the room was kept clean. The location was great as well. The facilities could use some updating and some of the furniture was worn out. Overall, it’s a good option and I’d stay there again.
The hotel is in a great location and is quite even though it’s in a busy area. The single room I stayed in was comfortable, however needed decorating. This is a really nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff but could do with a little freshening up.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Small rooms but for the price it is a fair amount. Excellent location. Overall I would stay there again!
The hotel's location is perfect for exploring all that Paris has to offer! It's quite nice and cozy, making it a great place to relax. The front desk is open 24/7 and always ready to help out. We really appreciated how clean and tidy our room was, which made our stay very comfortable.
