You really want to stay here!!

My wife and I mis-connected on our STR flight and needed an easy overnight place. A quick review of Hotels.Com showed Hotel Flora to be unique and close by. After 14 nights of Marriotts, it sounded like a perfect change of pace. And it was! Easy train rde (12 min?) from STR and you are here. Patricia greeted me by name when I walked in. She took us to our room personally and showed us around. We had a very comfortable double room with a nice balcony where we had some champagne to drown our trip problems. The hotel is really quaint, very clean , very comfortable and in a nice German neighborhood. There are several ;local restaurants within 5 mins walking and a grocery store/ATM right here as well. As mentioned in previous reviews, the U-bahn is right here. It is everything you need to experience a bit of Stuttgart on your trip here The breakfast buffet was very tasty and had hot and cold foods. Everybody at the front desk was so very helpful and spoke excellent english This place is a little gem in the million different high rise listings for Stuttgart. I highly recommend it.

Personnel was friendly and responsive to my requests. The downside, the hotel needs to change the old carpeting.

I liked the fact that if the room is ready before check in time they will let you use it. I didn’t like the fact that it wasn’t advertised that they can provide you with adapters for charging your electronics. I was still pleased with the front desk lady allowing me to use her charger for my phone 👍

Would highly recommend this cozy hotel, if you are looking for a relaxing place to stay in Stuttgart, away from the busy city. The location is very good and a 2-minute walk to the train station where you can take an 18-minute train ride to the City Center of Stuttgart. It also has a really good bakery a supermarket and lots of small shops aroubd the area. The hotel is managed by very friendly and helpful staff and makes you have the feeling of Home away from Home. Very clean and the amenities provided are complete which includes a good hearty breakfast.

Spacious room and bathroom, very quiet, close to metro station and a supermarket. Spotless clean. Very good breakfast. The only problem is that there's only one plug by each side of the bed with a lamp attached (and not a lot of light if you unplug the lamps). There was a power strip on the desk, but it stopped working after a while...

The staff was great. The room very comfortable. The breakfast very good. Reasonably close to the airport. I would definitely look to stay there when flying in/out of the airport if you have a car.

Nice, basic three star hotel in a suburb of Stuttgart. Easy walk to local trains. Given the hot weather the room was a stuffy but this is normal for these types of German hotels. Very kind and helpful staff.

It's a rather old hotel but service crews are very warm and have extend right hospitality! If you are a Budget, this is the one to go for!

The hotel is very near to U-Bahn stop by which you can go anywhere. The surrounding area is quiet but with a lot of bakeries, restaurants, and shops. The hotel is clean and well preserved. The room is large with all necessary facilities. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is very convenient and for only 5 euros. The rooms are in 3 different buildings each of two floors in addition to the ground floor. There are no lifts.

Nice, friendly small hotel. Close to Möhringen railway station, which is just 15 minutes from Stuttgart city centre. Also close to local amenities and, importantly for me, a 3-minute walk to my son's student accommodation. Overall, a nice, clean hotel in a central location with friendly, English-speaking staff. An enjoyable stay.

Outdated bathroom with a tiny shower. Room was in a separate building which made taking luggage to the room very difficult.

This was a great place. The location was an easy walking distance from the station and the area was great. The staff was friendly and my room was comfortable and clean. Good bargain and I recommend it.

It was not a pleasant stay. We had to leave early in the morning and elevator was not working. There was no staff in the hotel at that time. It was difficult to find the hotel entrance. Parking was full when we arrived and had to park on the street.

Very nice room. Quiet building but a bit loud from bier garten across the street. Might be a tough place during the hot months as there is no a/c. Lication is excellent with many shops, bakeries and restaurants close by. Market is 1/2 block away also.

some things to improove

There is no conditioning in the rooms. In the midle of the summeriIt was uncomfortable in the room, when you return in the evening. Fan in the bad room and WC connected with the lights works so loud that it is not possible to use light in the night, because of the noice.

Drive slow!

The entrance is difficult to find and the hotel is behind a row of buildings. Close to a train station and not much else.

Best local hotel!

We have used this hotel before and enjoy returning each time.The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. Hotel is just a block from train station, and you can stop at the local bakery to pick up breakfast if not eating at the hotel. Just a couple of blocks past the station is a wonderful walking path through local vegetable gardens. Highly recommend this hotel.

in a nice quiet little town close close to the train station lots of little coffee shops a few Bars and restaurants kebabs shop. nice church and nice walks past the police station , the staff are very helpful some don't speak English but that doesn't stop them from doing there very best to try and help with every thing . if there was one thing I could rate negative about this hotel is would be that it doenst have tea and coffee facilities in the rooms, i think most of us like a cup of tea or coffee when we get up or before we go to bed .

This is a cozy hotel just minutes from the Möhringen Bahnhof. Easy to get into Stuttgart, and very friendly staff!

Aasant stay at this moderate hotel

We were only there for one night, but it was a pleasant hotel, clean, and with good service. Moderate price at 131 Euros (room for 3). Would stay there again.

Fantastic hotel!

We stayed at Hotel Flora for three weeks. Our room was always clean. Staff was extremely friendly and always helpful. I loved the town. Shops, restaurants, bakeries, and the Sbahn stop were all walking distance from the hotel. For the price and location with everything stated above, I would recommend the hotel and stay there again if I ever return.

Typical Suburban Setting

This was a wonderful hotel in a suburban setting of Stuttgart. We chose this location because we were going to Mercedes Benz Museum and factory tour the next morning and wanted to be away from downtown Stuttgart. We arrived by car and parked in the their garage for an extra 8 euro. Well worth it because other nearby public parking is undefined. Great town center to walk around with restaurant options and grocery store. Sparkling clean room with a balcony and view to the rear yard. Beautiful breakfast. 1.5 block walk to the neighborhood train station.

Mercedes-benz Museum was excellent.

Old old and old hotel. I will not recommend to anyone. The water in the room and shower had very bad smell. Near the train track but far away from centre.

We found no cleanex in room at 10 pm, I called front desk but no answer. I went front desk, nobody was there and dark already. Hotel is old, old and old. that was cheating.even not 2 star

Just what we needed

We wanted a hotel close to Kelley Barracks and some of our places and this one was perfect. Breakfast was exceptionally good. Friendly and comfortable and quite reasonably priced.

Lovely stay in this hotel in Moehringen. Its not right in the centre pf stuttgart but its not far to the centre, the airport and lots of other places.

A Part of the Family

I give Hotel Flora my highest rating. I was a long term guest and Hotel Flora exceeded my expectation. The great part about Hotel Flora is the staff. They are warm. friendly, so helpful, and made my long term stay more enjoyable. The staff is very familiar with Stuttgart area and will be able to direct you in any direction. Also, the staff is very knowledgeable of Stuttgart traffic patterns, so ask before you decide to drive somewhere. The hotel is a short walk from the UBahn station and you can be in downtown Stuttgart in 20 minutes or less. I give Hotel Flora my highest recommendation. The hotel is a hidden gem in the Stuttgart area.

Stayed only a night but met the needs

The hotel wasn't really near anything a tourist would want to see but they were friendly, it was clean and we slept well.

Location proved to be excellent

The central location of the Flora was just what we needed. The staff is second to none as is the cleanliness of the hotel.

We find this to be an excellent hotel. Quiet, convenient, nice rooms, excellent pubs and restaurants nearby. It is not in the city centre but is well placed between the airport and the city. It is in a quiet neighbourhood but is not far to the u-Bahn and is well connected. We have been here often, and for the price is excellent.

Within a Train-ride of Everything

With Moringen U-Bahn Station a 2 minute walk north, this hotel met every need. Like most European hotels, the room/bed size needs to be considereed for families, but it's a minor concern here. The location is just right for Stuttgart.

Beautiful!

My husband and I stayed here for one night on our way to Switzerland. We arrived in the afternoon but it was a public holiday so Reception was unattended however the instructions for check in were very simple. The room was on the top floor by itself - kind of like an attic - which we loved! There is a lovely restaurant across the street which served a delicious dinner at a good price. The location itself was great too because we didn't want to drive through a city and it was a lovely quiet neighbourhood. Secure parking garage was onsite, no problems with wifi in our room and breakfast was substantial. We have no complaints about this hotel, the staff were most friendly and we wish we had been able to stay here longer.

Surprisingly Quaint

The hotel is hidden from the street in a quiet neighborhood which was nice. The view wasn't the best from my room window, but it was clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice & helpful. I recommend this hotel to all who are looking for something inexpensive, friendly, comfortable, and clean.

More than adequate

I found my short stay to be a good one. Staff were very helpful, room was quiet, clean and everything worked. Breakfast was fine and the hotel was close to the nearest train station. I stayed at this hotel as I was attending the Palladium theatre which is about 15 min walk from the hotel. It is perfect if you have something to attend in that part of town or if you are going to the airport, which is easily reachable from the hotel and will take roughly 30min with one change.

Quiet lovely neighborhood

This is the second time we have been to this hotel and we love it. It is not in the centre of Stuttgart but its a 1 minute walk to the u- BahnCard and the centre is about 10mins and the airport about 20. It is very quiet in fact the first night we left the window open and the birdsong woke us up about 8am! Lots of great places to eat within 5-10 mins. We didn't eat the breakfast - too many neighborhood stehcafes but it was very reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would really recommend it

A great small hotel

We enjoyed our stay here. It was a small hotel without many amenities, but the location was 200 yards from a train station and the public transport is GREAT. The amenities included a wonderful breakfast each day, an elevator that went from the basement to the 1st floor above the lobby, but not to the 2nd (top) floor, and a very helpful staff, some of whom spoke good English, and all of whom cared about our comfort. This is not the place for people looking for an "American" style hotel, but very good for someone who can accept something good (but different from home.) This small hotel was a lot less expensive than the big ones downtown, and had more character. The location was good for access to the US Army installations (we had a son on base) as well as the airport and downtown Stuttgart. There are two good biergartens close by and a very good Greek restaurant in walking distance. We rented a car to go to Munich and Salzberg, (and a castle out of town). Most of our stay was car-less and we got around fine.

The Hotel Flora in Moehringen, Germany

We loved staying here (we are American and speak a little German). It's a short walk to the U-bahn for going anywhere. The Director and her staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, also. We would definitely stay here in the future.

Worth staying here

very quiet, clean hotel, just as advertised. A little hard to find as the sign is small and hotel is set back from the street. Still worth staying at, cheap breakfast and good.

As we did not have our own transportation and wanted to stay close to the airport, we liked the convenience of proximity of eating places and U-Bahn connection to downtown Stuttgart.

Pleasant Surprise

This was the first stop on my visit to Germany, Italy & France. After reading dozens of reviews of even more hotels, I booked the first & last night of my stay in Germany at the Hotel Flora. In between my daughter & I were traveling around Europe. I was not dissapointed in my choice. After traveling for 16 hours I was greeted by a friendly staff who spoke great English. It was only about a 5 minute walk from the U bahn, even pulling my luggage!. This provided easy access to all of Stuttgart & surrounding areas & connection to the main train terminal & airport for traveling further. I had only planned to leave my luggage until check in time, but the room was ready & I was able to check in by noon. The room & bathroom was typical size by US standards, very comfortable & clean. The shower was slightly small & they do not provide washcloths, only towels. There is a hair dryer already in the room. I would definitely stay here again.

Ideal geeignet für einen Musical-Besuch oder Sonstigen Aufenthalt im SI-Center. Dass zu Fuß in 20min erreichbar ist. Preis-Leistung ist okay. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Uns hat die Sauberkeit gestört. Haare im Bad und der Dusche gehen leider gar nicht. Und das Bett war sehr weich und durchgelegen.

Hatten nur eine Übernachtung. Zimmer war recht groß.Das Bett war recht bequem. Die Duschen sehr sauber, allerdings auf einem etwas älteren Standard.Alles in allem recht zufrieden

Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre genommen. Teppichboden und Stühle sind schmudelig. Es felt etwas Licht. Im Bad hätte es an eingen Ecken sauberer sein können, allerdings sind die Silikonfugen neu. Frühstücksbufett ist nicht überwältigend aber ausreichend.

- Lage, super nah zur U-Bahn Station - nur wenige Stationen mit der U-Bahn zum Stage Theater - Frühstücksangebot ausreichend - Mobilar eher altmodisch - keine Klimaanlage in den Dachgeschosszimmern, aber Ventilator, der bringt nur leider nicht so viel, wenn das Zimmer sich den ganzen Tag aufgeheizt hat - im Großen und Ganzen recht sauber, an manchen Stellen noch Bedarf - kein Kühlschrank auf dem Zimmer, bzw. Schranktür mit der Aufschrift Minibar, jedoch nichts dahinter - für einen kurzen Aufenthalt gut geeignet

Ja gut, für zwei Tage ist das mal gerade noch in Ordnung aber: - Haustechnik stark in die Jahre gekommen - Aufzug geht nur in den ersten Stock, hatten Zimmer im 3. - im Zimmer kein Deckenlicht, von den Nachttischlampen nur ein funktionierend - Klimaanlage nicht funktionierend , bzw. keine Fernbedieung dafür im Raum - TV Kanäle teils nicht störungsfrei zu empfangen - Frühstück qualitativ sehr überschaubar, das kann man besser machen

Ruhiges Hotel in guter Lage

Das Hotel liegt Zentral. 2 Minuten zum Bahnhof. Sehr gute Anbindung nach Stuttgart. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Das Hotel selbst ist in die Jahre gekommen aber sauber. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Matratzen sind sehr weich und unbequem.

Soweit alles gut aber : Die Matratzen waren sehr durchgelegen. Viel zu weich. Daher auch die schlechte Benotung beim Punkt Komfort.

Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Umgebung zeichnet sich durch eine angenehme Ruhe aus, die zur Entspannung beiträgt. Obwohl das Zimmer etwas altbacken erschien, so war es dennoch sauber und ordentlich. Der Frühstücksraum mag zwar eher klein sein, doch das Frühstücksangebot ist vielfältig und ausreichend. Gleich um die Ecke befindet sich ein Dönerladen, ein Restaurant, eine Eisdiele und ein REWE-Supermarkt in dem man bis 22 Uhr einkaufen kann. Das Hotel verfügt außerdem über eine eigene Tiefgarage.

Sehr schöne Zimmer mit teilweise kleiner Terrasse oder Balkon. Das Frühstücksbuffet hatte eine gute Auswahlmöglichkeit und Kaffee stand auf dem Tisch.

Wij waren op tijd, maar als je na 14.00 pas op je kamer kan en de receptie is maar tot half 3 open is dit veelste krap in tijd. Ook lag er een kabel van buro naar bed door de kamer en voor de deur van de badkamer langs op de vloerbedekking. Om in de nacht over te struikelen. De receptionist had of zijn dag niet maar had moeite om onze namen te vinden en had een onvriendelijke uitstraling!! Verder een prima kamer op prima plek
