Phenomenal quality and service

Hotel Fitzroy is a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are beautiful, the beds comfortable and the staff are very warm and welcoming. It is perfectly situated close to Ponsonby Road which has such great dining and shopping with so much personality. The perfect place to stay in Auckland.

One of the best hotel experiences we have had, hightly recommended.

Unique boutique hotel

Overall an outstanding stay. Convenient location with lots of neighborhood shops and restaurants but a quick cab ride to downtown. Probably he most attentive service I have ever experienced in a hotel. And the breakfasts served in your room or on the small patio are excellent. Downside are tiny rooms (ours was smaller than an inside cabin on a cruise ship) plus we were put into an accessible room so the bathroom was like camping out.

What a beautiful boutique hotel in gorgeous Ponsonby. Staff were welcoming and friendly, super helpful, lovely breakfast and complimentary wine and canapés. Only wish we could have stayed longer than one night!!!

The stay was wonderful. The staff and service was impeccable. They made it very easy for us and the location in Auckland was perfect for seeing the city.

Adorable boutique hotel very very walkable to the Grey Lynn area in Auckland, which is full of great restaurants and shops. Room was very comfortable, even for a fussy American who likes air conditioning a great deal. Happy hour reception in the library and really good breakfast in the room were such perfect extras. And the staff was amazing with helping with bags, recommendations, etc.

The hotel is in an amazing location! Tons of great shops and restaurants within close walking distance. Small hotel with only a few suites which made it very private and quiet. The breakfast was incredible!

Wonderful boutique hotel with great amenities and personal service, in a beautiful neighborhood. Their breakfast is 5 star and can be enjoyed on a heated balcony. A short ride to center city and great walkable dining and shopping choices. A captivating alternative to large and impersonal hotels. So thrilled we found it, and hoping you do the same.

Breakfast and evening snack were exceptional. Boutique hotel with a great designer, close to a great shopping and restaurant area. Could not have been better. Environmentally sensitive keys-do not discard.

The level of service was excellent. We arrived early in the morning and was allowed to check in despite checking in time was 2pm. The quality of the breakfast was very good. There was an hour 4-5pm to meet other guests, eats hors d’ouves and enjoy an Allie beverage. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was great! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The daily happy hour was a great way to get to know the other guests at the hotel. The daily breakfast was filling and great quality as well. The rooms were as advertised. Modern, clean, and accessible. While slightly small in size, they were perfect for our trip to Auckland.

One of the best stays we have experiened in Auckland. The rooms were loveley. But what set them apart was their service. They were attentive and considerate, more importantly they were not in your face they looked after our family and made sure our stay was enjoyable. The food was outstanding. Would highly recommend.

It’s located in a suburban area just outside of the city center, but there are many dining and shopping options within easy walking distance. Not any public areas as in a large hotel, it’s more like a bed and breakfast with only 10 rooms. There are free drinks and appetizers in a nice but small sitting area. The breakfast is to die for, best we’ve ever had while traveling and served in your room. The concierge running the show was Anna and you won’t find a kinder more helpful person in any hotel. Highly recommend this hotel .

Beautiful boutique hotel in a great neighborhood. Just far enough from city center (you can still walk downtown and to the harbor), that you can relax. Great restaurants and shopping right there. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Rooms on the small side but love the high ceilings. The rooms had everything you need. Breakfasts were amazing!

Recently spent one night for our anniversary. Could not fault one thing about this property. Small enough to feel really personal and plenty of lovely boutique touches from welcome drink, to evening canapés and wine. Beautiful breakfast in bed and complimentary mini bar. Even left a beautiful hand written card and cake for our special celebration! Easy walking distance to Ponsonby Road with loads of eating/drinking options. Would absolutely recommend and will be back!

Fantastic stay with kind hosts. We loved the free happy hour and the breakfast that was included was the best of our entire vacation! If we are ever back in Auckland we will be back!

What a wonderful experience staying at the Fitzroy! We had time with our friends and were treated with the utmost care.

Very small room for a huge price comparable with 5 star hotels. Facilities limited. No staff to help & really the very small size of the room really annoyed me!

Very Nice Boutique Hotel in a Residential Setting

This is a unique boutique hotel located in the residential Ponsonby neighborhood. You will feel like a local walking to the dozens of restaurants and shops which are just steps away, while you can also walk to the Auckland waterfront in about 30 minutes or take an Uber for under $10. The rooms are small and have no desks if you plan to work. But, the breakfast which is delivered to your room is absolutely outstanding, more delicious food than I could ever eat. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. Would definitely stay again.

Breakfast in Bed is Brilliant, and so is this Hote

A unique hotel to say the least. Service beyond reproach in a genuinely friendly way. I can't say enough good things about the staff-attentive, professional, effective, charming etc. The hotel is the same. In a quiet neighborhood but a 3 minute walk to a bevy of restaurants and shops. Stayed in the Taikiki suite. Lovely. And breakfast in bed is brilliant

I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Fitzroy! From the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff to the luxurious room accommodations, this quaint hotel is a must-stay for anyone wanting to stay just outside of the main city center. They are located just down the road from great shopping and dining options and are a short drive to the city center. I thought parking would be an issue since it is street parking with time limits, but there are plenty of spaces and you can ask for a permit should you need to park longer. They offer a plethora of complimentary amenities and just generally take amazing care of their guests. I honestly can’t say enough good things to say about the hotel and staff. I definitely recommend this hotel!

Impeccable service

Really clean rooms ample free bottled water and in room treats. Breakfast in bed (and it’s really good). They have canapés and drinks. Comfortable beds and pillows. My only thing is there is a big cologne smell and the soap is cologne. It isn’t bad cologne, but as a female the soap wasn’t for me. The room was a bit tight with luggage.

We had a truly memorable overnight stay at the Fable. From the minute we checked in, the staff & facilities were impeccable. We will definitely look to stay at this gorgeous property again.

Stunning place to stay and the breakfast in bed is the best.

The service was first rate. The rooms were very nice. Hotel is close to everything- a few minute walk to dozens and dozens of shops and restaurants.

Great location, well appointed rooms and great staff. A lot of extra treats which comes from staying in a small boutique hotel. We enjoyed our stay.

The best in Auckland

Excellent in every aspect: high professionalism of the staff, ready to help with any request, attentive to every detail; comfort, cleanliness and equipment in the room; well stocked mini bar; amazingly tasty breakfast delivered to the room; opportunity to meet and interact with other guests during the afternoon apéritif time, and super quiet location in 2 minutes walking to all restaurants, cafes, bars, boutiques, pharmacy, anything one may need or want. We are especially grateful to Annabel who went above and beyond to help us with everything including medical emergency!

Gorgeous rooms, beautiful minimalist decor. Super location, in the heart of a leafy neighborhood, close to local shops and eateries where parking is easily available. Staff were lovely, super helpful and flexible to any and all requests!
