Very convenient location and the hotel excellent, need to improve the gym equipment.
Great transport links to all over city but also easily walkable. Good breakfast options and available until 11:00. Check out is late too at 12:00. Large spacious room and bathroom.
Very disappointed, the air conditioning didn’t work in the room and after explaining to reception they said it was normal for the unit to display “error”, even after explaining that the ambient temperature outside was 18c at night and 28c in the room still it wasn’t fixed or another room offered, the TV didn’t work which I don’t really care about to be fair but the pool on the roof which I definitely did want to use wasn’t fit for purpose, apart from the missing tiles and sharp edges the water was utterly gross, it was like a film on top and it tasted horrific, do not get into this pool if you go there, in fact, don’t go there. The water in the room wasn’t replenished, nor was the coffee and the double bed was two single beds put together, now I could have complained with Expedia and been moved to a different location but I was there for only three days and found the issues after the first day so moving didn’t seem worth it with two nights remaining
Close to many restaurants can speak English
We loved the neighborhood and its connection to the rest of the city. Lovely breakfast!
A bit rundown & the facility needs more care. Spa was out of order which it was the mail reason I booked this hotel. Location is not bad but 20/30 min walk to all attractions. No caffee maker or elec kettle in the room which was very inconvenient. Few nice restaurants close by but better restaurants are within 20 min walk. Staff were friendly & helpful. Parking compare to other hotels was high ($20 per night).
The room I reserved was not available
Standard hotel
The terrace was closed and the steam and the pool was also closed
10 Stars
Great place and location. And the Spanish hospitality is simply the best.
Staff is very helpful, spoke English. Breakfast was delicious, a great value, and the neighboring area is lively.
Would not recommend
Would not recommend , there were no rooms that we had booked left … was incredibly noisy, the tv was broken, the pool was closed. But worst of all there was a dirty sock covering up the fire alarm , I asked for this to be removed three times. Clearly disgusting not to mention a health and safety breach. It was still there when I checked out .
Ok
All in all it was fine for my purposes. Bed was a bit small considering the price but was okay.
The location of the hotel is good and good access to the metro and bus. The staff were courteous. The issue I had with the hotel was that my key/card access kept malfunctioning 2 days in a row and each time I had to go up to the reception in short one time I went down the lift 3 times after getting to my room and couldn’t open the door. Not a good experience for a 4star hotel.
Easy access to everything
If your priority is gym and pool then dont, it is barely ticking the check box. Otherwise it is awesome, staff is great and helpful, metro station right opposite, eateries around, and peaceful.
Very good location, clean and comfortable bed.
Paula was very helpful and kind at check in. The hotel is very clean. Comfortable room.
Dirty bedding
We found a pillow in the be, that was really dirty with dry big blood stains. The people at the desk changed it but gave no offer of a discount or anything to make up for it.
Hotel needs some renovations, smell of canalization even in 9 th floor!,waiting for check in till 16:00 pm!,not 4 star breakfast!, Out of service lift for handicapped or family with children! 😢 terrible!
Clean and close everywhere. Thanks!
Excellent location
Excellent hotel and spotlessly clean . Room cleaned every day . Breakfast was excellent. Rooftop pool area lovely area to relax during the day . Rooftop bar lovely but some of the drinks quite expensive. Would definitely stay again
Girlie trip to Madrid!!
Fab hotel! Great breakfast, lovely rooftop pool area in the day for a dip in the pool which transforms into a lovely rooftop bar in the evening. Nice rooms and good staff. Free bus opposite the hotel (001) takes you to the centre of town in 10 mins and is free! All in all a great stay!
Weather was good and staff were very friendly
Good service
Clean, modern, friendly professional staff, good breakfast
Dure tres dias con el aire dañado y no se arregló
The staff were excellent. Breakfast was good. The rooftop doesn’t open up until June and it’s in a petty loud area above some bars.
Staff were friendly and the room was clean. The safe was not working and the shower was not draining well. I had to query a charge for breakfast which I did not have. There was strange shouting outside every night, although it didn’t affect my sleep. The pool was drained when I went up to the roof, even though the website advertises this, and was the reason I chose this hotel.
Decent City Centre Hotel
Hotel is in a good location to access city centre via the Metro and bus services across the street. Hotel is clean and efficient. However, negative feature is that it suffers from very late night noise from passers by from nearby cafes and bars, making sleep difficult at times.
Going with friend's group
As there is not much options of the hotel that offer 3 beds service, hence, we have finally picked this one, it would be better if the room can be slightly larger. but overall, it's okay and easy to access.
Pleas don't go . There is a lot of hustle in this property. The staff is super terrible rude and the pictures is not like how they look . They show a king bed . And when you go there you'll see a twin or queen bed . Theft
Right across from the metro and bus station
Great staff at the front desk.
The TV wasn't working
Good relation quality-price, excellent location, good room space
Metro stop across the street. Centrally located and safe neighborhood. Great staff.
Great location, directly across from a Metro stop. Easy to get around the city from here. Beautiful hotel, close to good food. The only thing that would be better is if there were coffee available in the room. But there is a great pastry/coffee shop very near so you can get cafe con leche easily in the mornings.
The pool is closed during autum :(
Wonderful experience, but the pool was closed during our sunny days in Madrid.
Great location and nice service and rooms
5
amazing
Great location for me. Clean. Good service. Rooftop bar was closed.
Great location, super clean.
Great stay in Madrid
Great stay. Only down graded for cleanliness because the pool was filthy otherwise we'll recommend Ed accommodation. Very easy access to underground railroad
Helpful staff
Very accommodating staff. Allowed us to check in early and held bags after checkout with no issues.
Very clean modern hotel in a great location close to transportation and easily accessible to airport and attractions
Close to the metro and local bars . Lovely roof top area to sit in and take in the view,
Not worth the price per night.
The hotel was in a great location across from train station. However the fitness center could use a serious update. The rooftop pool and bar had a beautiful view however the pool looks much bigger on the photos. It was 3 feet tall and could barely fit 3 people. Also would be nice to have the bar open during the day. Overall I was disappointed for the price I paid and no amenities to justify the price.
The rooms and lobby are clean and functional but have zero charm. My 4th floor room faced an ugly apartment building. The staff is not helpful, unmotivated and often ignorant. Breakfast is mediocre: cold eggs, rotten fruits. The roof is great, but tiny pool is open 11-7 only and guests need to pay a 10 euro deposit for towel. Overall there is something cold and unappealing about this hotel, especially compared to the general friendliness of the city.
Had to change rooms due to the awful smell of drains. Staff were helpful about that. Breakfast room incredibly busy and sometimes no room left. Nice roof top terrace and bar (tiny pool). Slow lifts.
Had fun
Pool is under renovation. But the breakfast is a very good buffet. Clerks speak several languages. Across from the Moncloa Metro stop, easy to get around.
Room not clean, no light over bath/shower - showering in the dark! Pool open at restricted times. No tea/coffee making facilities in room.
Lovely stay except swimming pool was out of order so could not use it
Location, location, location
Perfectly located with nearby amenities and metro station. Staff very friendly , polite and efficient. I would definitely stay there again.
Disappointing: dirty, rooftop/bar closed,
The place did not have most of the amenities that the bribe about. All they had opened was breakfast at the basement, So if you are going for the rooftop, bar, restaurant.. they are closed. The room doors were beat up, and the room in general quite dirty. I was sick and asked for a blanket because I was freezing and I had to call twice, only to get a tiny dirty blanket delivered. It was noisy ( you can hear the hallways easily ) The girl at the front desk was very nice tho, that was the highlight. And the location, it is so close to all the stores. Also, it was misleading because when I booked it it said a free buffet breakfast was included, and it was not.
Good for the value.
Just needed a place to crash for the night, and it was close to where we needed to be. This hotel is right across from a major subway station, and there’s a taxi stop right in the front of the hotel as well as some bus stops, so it’s very convenient. I didn’t care much for the shower/bathtub. It had one of those new 1/4 panel trends where the glass panel for the bathtub only covered 1/4 of the bathtub, so water was kinda flying everywhere. The hotel is not fancy, but gets the job done, and it was cheap
Well located
Close to bus terminal to Segovia, and walking distance to plaza de Espana. Noce location
For the price it was a great location right in front of the metro station which was very convenient, however room walls are about paper thin can hear every footstep the room next to you makes, and if you get a room with a window facing the street expect to hear noise from outside locals until about 5:30 AM EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. Hotel was too busy to find another room so couldn’t be moved. Other then that was a pleasant stay.
in front of a metro station, 5 min to city center. room clean but little small, breakfast is fine
nice hotel, comfortable and very kind and caring staffit is under renovation but didn't affect the comfort. strongly recommended very good ratio quality-price
Great breakfast buffet, friendly and responsive staff whom are very accommodating and patient. The location is perfect its literally directly across the street from the Moncloa train station, a short 15 to 20 minute subway ride to the airport, it is walking distance to big shops, there are restaurants and convenience stores on the same block. It is walking distance to another main train station and a straight ride on the 3 line to the Centro district where you find all of the shops. When I return for a conference I will stay there again for sure. The only thing is the lobby [not the reception area but more like a secluded sitting area] is really hot, dark, and dim. It seems like an afterthought really but it's just not a part of the hotel that's you care to use. Also on my last day the elevators became a bit weird they took us all the way to the top and stope don every floor. We did not push any buttons it just did its own thing. Overall I'd recommend this place I am staying there when I return to Madrid.
Large, comfortable room with a modern bathroom and all the facilities
Excellent location. Frindly staff. Breakfast is good.
It would be better if the hotel could provide disposable slippers like hotels in the eastern countries
A nice place to stay
Everything about the room and service was good
Overall, it was confortable stay. Wireless internet was extreamly slow.
Nice hotel in good location.
Great location, my single room had only 1 pillow, no duvet on bed (there was a duvet in the wardrobe but no cover). Room & bathroom clean. No tea/coffee facilities in room or hotel. Lovely rooftop terrace with great views & pool, unfortunately the evening we went they had no tonic or white wine. Breakfast was good but on our first morning a bit chaotic with a lack of plates.
A MUST STAY IN MADRID!!!
Amazing! Location was perfect! Staff incredible! Buffet breakfast excellent! Rooms super comfortable! Roof deck pool area awesome! Right across from Metro access! Close to fun tapa places and great shopping! I will definitely stay there every time I visit Madrid! Highly recommended!!!
Myself and 2 teenage sons enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Exe Moncloa. The staff were pleasant, maybe could have been a little more helpful with maps and information on the city on arrival, I struggled to find out which was the main station in the city. The room was bright, modern and we found the rooftop bar at night really lovely but a bit too busy in the daytime so didn't spend much time there and the pool is smaller than the photos, also a shame it doesn't open until 11am. The metro entrance is on the other side of the road to the hotel and you are in the city within 10 minutes. Overall a great stay in a beautiful city and felt very safe in the hotel.
Good location, Limited entertainment
Directly opposite metro and only need to travel a few minutes to get to centre of Madrid. Some bars and restaurants but not great selection.
Perfect
Location just a little out from the main strip but worth it
Nice hotel right in front of Moncloa Metro. It's 30 minutes from the airport. Beds are great. Hotel staff are friendly. Terrace it's great but they kick you out at 7pm. During the summer this is a bummer (it gets dark at around 10pm).
Will be back
The place was amazing from the locals to the restaurants. My favourite part was the easy access to the city centre. Would recommend for sure
Nice Stay
Nice hotel. The staff were very friendly and the room was spacious and very clean. I only had a few minor complaints, not enough to warrant a poor review however.
Great hotel for price quality ratio. Right across the street from the metro. Nice location. Great terrace with a pool (the pool is a bit small). Great view from terrace.
A most enjoyable stay
The Exe Moncloa is a very comfortable, well located hotel. The reception staff were very efficient and professional- despite their computer system crashing they managed to allocate our room. The room was comfortable and clean with a spacious bathroom. There was a minibar, safe, hair drier, toiletries etc. The hotel also has a spa and gym in the basement and a lovely roof terrace with bar, comfy seating, a plunge pool and loungers. A great place to relax and enjoy watching the sun set over the city. The buffet breakfast was excellent and plentiful with attentive waiting staff who replenished dishes promptly. The Moncloa metro stop is virtually across the road. The city's bus station is situated a level below the metro station. There are numerous bars, restaurants and small supermarkets in the surrounding area. I booked well ahead and got a great value rate for 4 star city centre accommodation. I would happily stay at this hotel again should I make a return visit to Madrid.
Great rooftop & pool
This hotel is a nice location right across from a Metro stop. Excellent value. The room was comfortable but spartan. Breakfast was a great value and delicious. Excellent fitness center and nice sauna and steam room. The best part though is the rooftop with phenomenal views, a nice little bar, very comfortable seating, and a small but cute and refreshing pool. I would stay here again.
Great stay - cozy room and helpful and courteous staff.
Nice enough. Great breakfast!
The room was nice but the walls were paper thin and the view of the apartment block opposite wasn't great. Breakfast was lovely and the metro is about 50m from the doors. Only really complaint is the terrible lifts! They really need resetting or something. It took 15 minutes to get down from the 6th floor one morning.
Noisy
The hotel is quite nice, clean and well run. Unfortunately our room was above Champandaz, a student bar famous for its leche de pantera (equal parts gin, milk, and sweetened condensed milk with a little cinnamon) which they sell by the liter. There was yelling and singing until 6 am every morning.
Standard run and of the mill hotel
It was nice place but I wouldn’t class it has a 4 star.
Nice hotel, close to city centre
Nice hotel, comfortable single room. Easy access to Metro and attractions.
Nice hotel close to everything
Amazing well recommended Clean nice staff The metro station is a few steps away
the size of college dorm room
The single rooms are half the size of a normal room. Just a heads up, the size makes it feel like you’re staying in a dorm room, so it was a bit depressing.
Good value hotel
Excellent breakfast and very comfortable room. The hotel has a back courtyard and unfortunately some nights were a bit noisy. But otherwise hotel was close to restaurants, stores, buses and metro.
Very good location, In front of Metro Moncloa
Everything very nice, greaaat breakfast. All the hotel facilities are new and very well acomodated. Very celan and all personnel si very kind.
Madrid 2018
Hotel was very nice, very comfortable bed and amazing breakfast every morning. The only thing me and my wife were disappointed of was the shower...not very comfortable and not hot water for few days very early in the morning like 6am
The surprise
When you book a room you will definitely have a surprise there, the bad thing you ever experienced will be there, just they respond when get angry and anxious
Fabulous
Loved it overall. There was a problem with the twin beds, they kept moving and sometimes slipping
Nice hotel, close to Moncloa tube station. Very comfy room and good breakfast.
Perfect!
Everything is excellent! Clean and modern. I would stay again for sure. Breakfast is awesome! Located literally in front of the Moncloa station!
Some redeeming features
Had several issues with this hotel 1. When booking, it said the pool was open from June. It didn't say, however, that it would then close 2 days before our stay. 2. I booked a hotel room with a city view (which was more expensive than a standard room). The view was of the side of a building which looked to be student halls. When I contacted reception about this they said "that's what we mean by city view" and only 5 of their rooms have a better view, so should not have been sold as a room with city view (See attached photo) 3. There was blood on one of the pillows 4. The bath was dirty 5. The walls were so so so thin. We could hear the man in the next room opening his sweet wrappers they were that thin. Later on he made an hour long phone call, which felt like he was in the same room. We had been awake since 3am due to flights so asked to move to another room where it might be a bit quieter. The staff were not apologetic and after about 20 minutes of begging to move to a room where we could actually fall asleep, they moved us. 6. The roof terrace is only open from 8:30pm so no sunbathing in the day as well as no pool. Overall a disappointing stay. However, the breakfast was good, and it's very close to a metro stop. Wouldn't recommend a stay here unfortunately, felt like there were a lot of let downs.
Nice pool good value for money
Really nice hotel with friendly staff. They have a nice pool in the rooftop, really enjoyable
Horrible scrambled eggs!
Beautiful, modern hotel and friendly, helpful staff
It was a great experience and I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Good hotel next to the metro
Good hotel in Madrid. The room is small but the hotel is well located and has a nice terrace overlooking the city with a swimming pool and a bar. Breakfast was very complete and very good.
Lovely boutique hotel
This hotel is situated near the metro, which only took 10 mins into the city centre. But then you also have the roof top plunge pool and sunbathing terrace - what a bonus! Would highly recommend this hotel, fantastic location, quality rooms and excellent staff.
Nice hotel Metro station across the street .
Good experience Safe quiet Good location Staff very helpful

very convenient right on front of the metro station
