The hotel lacks a good conduct of hospitality and service. The problems started with check in. The front desk attendant would not admit us at check in time. Her reasoning was that the 2 double bed room was booked under my name and not for a second adult. The hotel rules clearly state “Base rate is for 2 guests”. The attendant demanded an extra charge or a bribe to allow both of us to use the 2 double beds. I contacted hotels.com and they made several unsuccessful attempts in several hours to contact the property. I was left without the room I paid for because the hotel would not honor the written rules of their own agreement. Do not book. Hotel Embajadores does not make their guests feel welcome.

This hotel is not as represented by the pictures on Expedia. All of the equipment in the gym was nonfunctional, some in pieces on the floor. The curtains in my room had hiles in them, and we're falling off the rods. The elevator did not work for my entire stay, and staff informed me that it had not worked for a long time. Some of the room numbers on the doors we're falling off. The walls in my room had foot prints on them. This hotel needs to be demolished or complete gutted.

Few blocks from all. Great location. Pleasant stay. We spent the day at Progreso Beach and came back to sleep at this property.

Extremely dirty, no solution from the front desk. Some maintenance problems in rooms (leaks, paint) Loud karaoke next door until midnight. Convenient location. I would not stay there again even if the price is good.

Great location to center

The price is very afforadble for a three star hotel, it's an open concept modern building, the rooms are large, no windows to open but a glass wall. It is atatched toa cute restaurant very well priced, whcih makes it more convenient. It nees more delicate TLC and care as my bathroom had a leak and a sewage smell. Mainly nationals stay in there, in and out, so wear and tear is evident. The front desk girls are basic, and offer no real customer service but a transactional interaction. Your key is here ...and bye....

I loved the staff and the pool. The night staff at the reception desk spoke English exceptionally well. My one complaint was the number of mosquitoes in my hotel room. I think this was due to housekeeping keeping my door open each day when they cleaned.

Terrible service

We had a problem with the door not closing properly and they moved us from the first floor to the second floor at the very end of it, the room practically hidden and it didn't have a doorknob like the others (a regular key one, not electronic like the others). They clearly had other rooms available, either on the first or the second (but not so hidden away), but they chose to give us the room hiding at the end of the corridor.

En Road trip pendant 3semaines au Mexique, malheureusement cet hôtel est le pire... Pour faire court : Pas d'eau chaude, pas de WiFi et pas de petit déjeuner Pour la longue histoire : Je suis arrivé dans une chambre sans clim, j'ai du réclamer la télécommande... On m'a donc changer de chambre après 5mon à faire mine de chercher celle ci.. Lorsque j'ai demandé où était le petit déjeuner, on m'a simplement répondu qu'il n'y en avait pas.. Hors j'ai payé un supplément sur expédia pour l'avoir. On a finalement accepté et on m'a demandé de venir le lendemain matin à 8h le chercher. J'y vais. ..on me dit qu'il arrive dans 40min,jattends 50min puis je retourne à la réception pour qu'on me dise que je vais finalement prendre le petit déjeuner dans un hôtel à côté. Bref.... Je ne recommande pas du tout.

Everything is a bit run down. Gloomy lighting which could easily be remedied by using warm toned energy efficient bulbs. No hot water! I really did not appreciate taking cold showers every day.

Ok hotel, poor service.

The hotel has a fairly good location only 3 blocks from the main square. It is very nice on the outside and inside the property. The rooms themselves were fairly clean, the beds comfortable. The towels were hit and miss, sometimes new and bright, sometimes they had stains, rips and off-grey colour. The greatest drawback was the service which was rather poor. Unfriendly staff who seem to make a point of ignoring the guests and often don't even acknowledge their presence. Based on reviews on other sites service issues have been an ongoing problem for years. Management would be wise to implement some staff training. Not planning on coming back.

The hotel is in a great location.. the cleanliness & maintenance very poor... We were offered a tiny room (no room to open our suitcase), no hot water, not enough towels.. we were moved to a slightly larger room on the 2nd day.

Near Downtown Merida

Disappointed with customer services, they were not able to fix the problem with the internet during my stay with my family. They said they would fix it, but didn't. I am a Network Engineer and I would have fixed the problem myself, but I'm not the contractor, but the client and my stay was unpleasant.

Bad experience

I didn’t have a good experience my first room the A/C wasn’t working properly. I had a requested when I booked and I had to remind them about it when I arrived and waited a while for my request. On my 2nd day I had to switch room due to the A/C. The new room, the sink was leaking, other than day everything was the same. I had to stay there because I wasn’t going to switch rooms for a 3rd time. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, unless that’s the only option you have.

Convenient and clean

Nice hotel, everything was booked and was luck to find a descent Hotel. Affordable and close to center/ Grand Plaza.

I had the most horrible experience ever since I received a call in the middle of the night through the front desk from a so called "Comandante" threatening me who really wanted to blackmail or extort me. Obviously the front desk guy was involved since he knew my name and where I was from It was awful.

Basic hotel with good location

This hotel has very basic amenities. The rooms are overall clean. No hair dryer, one air conditioner unit that didn't run that well. The restaurant attached to the hotel had mediocre breakfast options. The only positive was location. The hotel was about a 5 minute walk from the big plaza.

Over all, great deal for the money, the only complaint is traffic noise, but considering this is Merida (narrow streets, alleys) all hotels are going to have this problem to an extent.

This last night was better than the first 2 nights. But saw many other better hotels around the same area.

We always stay here for past 5-6 yrs. But this will be last time. Hotel has gone downhill. Deteriorating little by little. We were on bottom floor, and heard every little noise that everybody made in there rooms. Nice people but probably wont be back. I have reserved for this Saturday just becuz i already reserved it. Nothing i can do about it now. Next trip we will probably go to another hotel.

One night stay - family trip

Hotel in a very poor condition. Breakfast which should have been a part of special deal for free was rejected to be served with explanation that the breakfast is not included. Hotel is not recommended.

I thought the only good thing about this hotel was the swimming pool, but now that my daughter is having an ear infection after she had some time in there, well.. To be fair, all the helpers there were very kind.

THE WOST HOTEL IN MEXICO:

The staff was very unfriendly. Upon my arrival I had been in Chiapas in the middle of a jungle and I was a bit under dressed and my sister walked up to the hotel and the security guard asked her ¨What are doing here.¨ I was so upset because we had the reservation there and from that point I did not feel welcomed. I have stayed at 5 star hotels in Paris, Rome and Playa del Carmen and this was a 4 star hotel in Merida! I couldnt believe the nerve this guy had. It was simply rude! The next day I asked for my key but I had forgotten my room number because I only wanted to stay at this hotel for the sole purpose of sleeping not because it was so beautiful. I asked the front desk and the supervisor was there helping the front desk personelle and to my astonishment she was so rude. She gave me attitude because I didnt know my room number. I wanted to freak out on her but I kept my calm. The last day I was there I saw a huge cockaroche!!!! it was so discusting! I had to run out my room I ve never seen one before. I dont recomed this hotel at all. I do recomend hotels in Oaxaca, Valladolid, Palenque and Playa del carmen and Playa Car these were the best hotels ever

Un pésimo servicio, no sirve el elevador, los baños no tienen para personas discapacitadas, un hotel nunca debe quedar sin servicio y no hay restauran o comedor, lastima yo y mi familia no volvemos a ese hotel. Gracias

Descepcion de hotel

Todo estuvo más o menos, pero el domingo que nos íbamos a ir fue lo que rompió con el "más o menos", resulta que es el primer y único hotel que se atreve a cobrarte una multa por 15 minutos para salir, me llamaron mientras desayunábamos, le dije a la persona que ya íbamos de regreso para desocupar la habitación, y resulta que por los 15 minutos nos penalizaron, aparte de viajar con ustedes soy socio en FAVC (Fiesta Americana Vacation Club), en el tiempo que llevo con ellos me han cobrado un solo centavo por pasarme 15 minutos del Check out, así digan y disque argumenten esto es indebido, esto se llama "ROBO AL CLIENTE", con todo respeto a los dueños pero esto no se vale, ni nos estábamos llevando una o dos horas como para que hagan esto, además la persona que me llamo de la recepción para recordarme "QUE NOS IBAN A PENALIZAR ", y se lo dije al de la recepción tu no dijiste nada al respecto, solo dijiste se le recuerda que a las 12 del día es la salida, a la fuerza nos hizo pagar ese dinero, ténganlo por seguro que jamás volveré a su hotel, y como lo dije jamás en ningún hotel de 5 estrellas o de ese tipo agarrar y penalizar por 15 minutos una cantidad que viene siendo casi el 40% del costo de la noche, espero que ese dinero lo inviertan en un mejor servicio al cliente.

El restsurante estaba cerrado por remodelacion. Y el mas cercsno para comer o cenar se encuentra aproximadamente a 6 cuadras de distancia. No hay lugares cercanos

Hotel decente.

Falló mucho el aire acondicionado. El internet y la televisión. Cuando llegamos la señorita de la recepción que no saludó. Me atendió de muy mala gana. Detestable. En la noche había una señorita delgada muy amable.

El hotel es muy bueno en general, la limpieza demoraba un poco por la falta de personal, pero en general los espacios son adecuados.

Hôtel correct

Les + : La chambre est propre, il y a tout le confort comme la télé, la clim et la salle de bain. La piscine est bien entretenue. L'hôtel est situé à 5 minutes à pied du centre-ville et 8mn du terminal de bus ADO. Les - : il n'y a que deux chaises longues à la piscine, c'est dommage. Le règlement stipule qu'il est interdit d'amener de l'alcool et des bouteilles en verre près de la piscine, mais des locaux buvait des bières en bouteille ; le personnel de l'hôtel les a vu mais n'a rien dit. Un réceptionniste n'est pas juste là pour délivrer des clés, il doit aussi faire appliquer le règlement intérieur. La vue depuis la chambre d'hôtel donne sur les couloirs, ce n'est pas très plaisant.

Su retaurante lleva mucho tiempo en reparación, pero en esta ocasión el cuarto que me tocó estaba muy obscuro, con falta de mantenimiento notorio y tuve problemas con una fuga de agua, televisión y aire acondicionado. En realidad debe mejorar mucho pero está bien para pasar la noche!

Al hacer la reservación una de las características es que cuentan con desayunos incluidos, y al llegar nos comentaron que el hotel no lo incluye. Así mismo, el personal ingresa a las recamaras sin el concentimiento del huesped. La limpieza deja mucho que desear, parece que trapean con aceite porque el piso siempre tienr una sensación de grasa. Y por último, el personal de recepción del horario matutino otorga pésimo servicio al cliente, desgraciadamente con ella haces el check in y check out por lo cual tienes que soportar sus malos tratos si quieres que te resguarden tu equipaje.

Realmente es un engaño las fotos que aparecen en la publicidad son totalmente falsas ya que las condiciones del hotel son pésimas, los cuartos sucios, los baños sin limpiar y taoado, cabellos en los colchones, había cucarachas y en una caja chinches, el aire no funcionaba y la tv está fundida en verdad no me explico cómo pueden engañar a la gente de esa forma y vender un servicio que no existe y las fotos no son reales ya que el hotel está en pésimas condiciones, me tuve que salir del hotel con mi familia y no nos quedamos ninguna noche el personal del hotel grosero y me dijeron que pues así era el servicio y que no podían hacer nada y que pues le hiciéramos como quisiéramos, tuve que pagar otro hotel, creo que por dignidaa mi familia no podíamos quedarnos en ese lugar, me puse en contacto con la plataforma y no me resolvió nada muy mal servicio y perdí todo mi dinero de las 7 noches que había pagado por adelantado, no lleguen a este hotel es una verdadera porquería y si no me cree entonces vayan ustedes mismos a comprobarlo, todos los servicios que se ofertan en la plataforma son totalmente una mentira, no quiero que ninguna otra familia pase lo que sucedió con nosotros y lo más triste es que la plataforma de expedía me dijo que no podían hacer nada yo no sé cómo permiten hacerle publicidad a hoteles así y ofrecer sus servicios y es información totalmente falsa tuve un doble gasto lo bueno es que pude pagar otro hotel porque no se me resolvió nada NO LO RECOMIENDO EL Hotel

Anuncian servicios que no tienen. Llegamos y no tenían estacionamiento. Y se lavaron las msnos, no les importó nuestro desagrado.

Fue una desilusión darme cuenta que lo que había apartado, no tiene nada que ver con las fotos, los arcos y demás. No nos pudieron conseguir taxi en dos ocasiones. Entre que les valió y poco compromiso. La llave del lavabo dura, mal calibrada. No recomiendo la estancia en el hotel.

Fui con mi papá de la tercera edad con movilidad reducida y dos niños no funciona el elevador , nos tocó en el segundo piso y al subir las escaleras estaban un poco resbalosas , la habitación muy bien en general a excepción de que la tele no tenía acceso a internet.
