Only outlet in the washroom, no space between the bed or the dresser (must crawl across the bed to get to the washroom). Staff was rude. Placed me beside a party room and asked to move but said non
This is a beautiful old hotel, full of classic Roman charm. The staff are incredibly polite and helpful and there is a deep sense of pride in their service. That said, my room, although beautifully lit and spacious, smelled heavily of dust and it was hard to breathe without having the windows thrown wide open on a very cold night. There was an issue with a clogged shower drain the first night I was there, and that was addressed immediately.
The location is very convenient and the view from the 6th floor is beautiful. 6th floor is the breakfast area tho and only accessible during breakfast hour 7-10. This hotel is definitely not 4 stars worth. Looked very outdated and old. They didn’t even have showergel and conditioner. And the available shampoo was of very cheap quality. The room was very noisy. I could hear guests in the next room flushing the toilet and taking shower. And most annoying part: every time you leave you should give key (yes actual key) to the reception. And they don’t allow visitors!! I don’t recommend it !
Great location.
Beautiful and well kept hotel. Location was the best, we were able to walk to most of the touristic areas and restautants. Breakfast was great, with variety of food, at the 6th floor with a wonderful view. We would book it again without a doubt. Griselda y Daniel from NY.
Very convenient location- 10 minute walk to many landmarks- Staff professional and cordial
I loved the hotel staffs. They are very friendly and accommodating. It was very old fashioned. My AC barely worked. My fridge had mold inside.
nice
The room was large and spacious.
False advertising
Bin in room had not been emptied or had garabage. Per description of Hotel amenities the rooms were air conditioned that was not the case. One specific gentleman at reception was rude and did not allow my friend to come up with me to my room. Free breakfast no where to be seen either. Overall a bad experience would not stay there again. And would recommended to anyone.
This is an older traditional hotel. Being close to the Borghese gardens means that it has the best of both worlds. City and country. The breakfast room is on the top floor and has a spectacular view.
Very close to the Spanish Steps. Breakfast was OK in the morning, servers were quick. All sconces and vents were very dusty in the rooms.
Great service, hotel is rundown. Breakfast was passable
Tiring experience
Tiny - claustrophobic Air conditioning did not work - impossible to sleep Mattress - torture Mini fridge did not work Noise level high due to traffic with all windows closed. We had to open the windows at night to cool down a bit and then close due to a lot of noise. Got hot quickly. Open windows and so on. The room was run down overall. The bathroom was ok. The only highlight was the breakfast-good selection and fresh.
Great staff and great room. Breakfast on the rooftop was lovely with nice views of the park and the Vatican in the distance.
We are a family of 4. We had adjoining rooms with queen beds. Hotel was clean and we loved the traditional decor. The location is right by the Borghese gardens. 20 min walk to Pantheon. 30 min walk to Colosseum. 40 mins walk to Vatican. If you like to get to know a city by walking, this place is great. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.
Clean, great location
Great Location
Great location, easy to walk everywhere and next to the lovely Villa Borghese Park. Bathroom rather tired looking and mattress was not very comfortable but it did the job for us being out and about all day. Breakfast was OK and the breakfast room had lovely views.
Couldn’t fault it at all
Clean, helpful and friendly staff, no issues.
I liked having the Villa Borghese Gardens just a 5 min walk away! So beautiful. Hotel is in a safe area, and you can walk to pretty well all the main attractions within 30 mins.
The front desk staff are very friendly and professional, I was very happy with their friendliness, the lady in the dining room, for breakfast, awesome lady!!.. I have no complains and if I was to come back, I' d stay at this hotel.
The rooms were fine. The staff was courteous. The free breakfast was OK.
Excellent lacation and services. The staff is very kind.
The info about the room set up on Expedia was incorrect, I booked a room, where the website indicated it had 1 twin bed, but in the hotel they explained to me that it's actually two single beds. But when I asked if it was possible to find a bigger bed or move two single beds together (I sometimes twist during sleep and was afraid to fall off), they very kindly moved me to a double room. The hotel and the room I got were in a good condition, loved the location. Staff were very kind and accommodating at the check in and check out Breakfast is not much, but okay, and I loved the views (breakfast are are on a terrace area on 6th floor)
Good location and the view from the breakfast floor beautiful
The location is excellent, Enjoyed the rooftop breakfast also.
It's not brand new but has a lot of charm and is well kept. The room includes breakfast on the top floor which has a very nice view. Our only issue is that the bed was a little hard in our room, not sure if that's the same in all rooms.
A great stay! The staff is wonderful and the hotel is close to many things. We will definitely be back!
Good area
Friendly staff Close to all the attractions Very clean
Quite old property , the noise from other rooms were audible and with a baby it was disturbing her sleep. The front desk though professional was bit sarcastic and the amenities are poor . Never coming back here again.
Good service!
Super location! Nice rooms. Very professional and helpful stuff.
Great hotel
The hotel is a little old but it is ok, it is a little far from the main touristic points but it is close to the Termini station for example. The staff was very kind to us. Breakfast was also good, you can repeat as many times as you want. Definitely, a good choice for us. I will repeat when I come back to Rome.
Feels like a homecoming to me!
I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 35 years. She is a "Grand Old Lady". I love the location, very convenient, the wonderful breakfast even during these times of a pandemic. Some decorations may seem outdated, but this is still our favorite hotel when stopping in Rome. I have taken small family groups here, and also friends. Lots of restaurants near by and public transportation, and just a 2 minute walk from the famous Vis Veneto, and the Borghese Gardens!
Breakfast very good
The reception staffs were so nice. But I think cleaning rooms needs more consideration... The bed was not comfortable and the blanket was so thin and old which made me could not sleep some nights... I think they need a renovation!
If you are looking for an inexpensive hotel in Rome, Eliseo is the answer. Room/bed/washroom/cabinetry were dated. But we still Liked the overall feel of staying in an Italian hotel vs the more commercialized Ones. Breakfast with a view was awesome. We would Come back for the breakfast n best coffee in Italy. My daughter doesn’t like coffee but can’t get enough of their coffee. We took the bus to all Touristy places hence it is accessible By bus. Reception didn’t know the train station was closed n my suggestion is for them to post this on their website as well as inform their guests
Nice place and great staff
Rooms are comfortable, easy access to transport, nice sites near by, great staff so helpful with whatever problems i had and advice for the city. Sits in a nice area so good for night time. No big issues or red flags, enjoyed the stay.
Friendly staff property in need of modernisation not enough sockets and unable to get kettle working
I liked that it was close to all the sights I wanted to visit and close to a big park. Good price Rome and quite comfortable with a good Buffett breakfast.
Location. Breakfast room.24 hour desk. Furnishings a bit run down but good value for money.
The room was quite small and the decor hasn’t been updated in a while.
one night only
Location is fantastic and room was clean and comfortable. Definitely shows some wear! Heard breakfast good but unfit I had to depart too early to enjoy it...
This was a pretty good stay, the front desk was amazing and they held my bags before i was able to check in. They breakfast was good variety. Room was clean and close to all the hot spots!
Location is ok, bit of a hike to places like piazza navona, pantheon. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast
Quick stay in Rome
The bed was very uncomfortable. Like a rock. Decor not in good shape. Staff pleasant and accommodating.
Good location; great breakfasts, omfortable hotel.
The staff were lovely and very helpful. The rooms were clean, but the beds need to be replaced. They were uncomfortable. Felt like I was sleeping on a piece of cardboard.
It’s good
I would rate this hotel as a 2 star not 4 star. In need of modernisation
Happy with my stay, a quality hotel.
We found the staff to be pleasant and accommodating. The hotel is dated, could use a facelift but clean. Breakfast was ok except for their coffee. Location is good, behind the Spanish Steps so for ease of access we walked up the steps quite a few times. All in all, not a bad property.
Needs renovation!!!
Hotel needs renovation. Beds are old and not comfortable. Bedding is awful. Air conditioning worked badly for being in summer with 36 degrees. Breakfast was good, plenty of variety and nice view.
A/C didn’t work properly. I complained about it but no one cares. I asked for a fan they didn’t provide it Very bad service. Breakfast was good !
Excellent
We were 5 days in Rome, the staff were really nice, we arrived 3 a.m, Max welcome us even mentioning my name, in every moment they were very pleasant!
The hotel is located in a great area. Within walking distance of the trevi fountain. The only issue was that the air conditioning was poor, so sleeping at night was difficult due to the heat.
Well situated Quiet, nice and helpful personal Very nice breakfast room
Good location, unfortunatly hair dryer didnt work. Shower drain clogged. Wi fi didnt work, and some staff unhelpful.
Best location, the hotel and rooms are better than pictures online. Hotel is so pretty and rooms too. Close to everything. For the price is a steal I will stay there again next year! Only thing is employees could be more helpful with questions about city etc but I guess that’s the culture.
Front desk staff were not helpful or even friendly
The staff was friendly, was in a nice area, and overall it was clean. The breakfast area is beautiful and has a great view. However, the bed that I slept in was terrible. I could feel the coils through the mattress and when I looked the mattress was on a metal stand. The shower sprayed every where and the shower head could stand to be cleaned. Parts of the stairs had falling stone and looked like they needed to be repaired. Overall not what I expected from a 4 star hotel.
Cute place Bedding was nice and clean Overall not a clean place
Excellent location. Excellent 6th floor for breakfast. Very good breakfast's food and juicies. Clean and excellent customer services there. Nice terrace.
Central location. Poor wifi. Average breakfast. Some staff staff are very unfriendly. Rooms dated but clean.
Great staff, location, excellent breakfast; enjoyed the stay.
I really enjoyed the location of the hotel. The layout of the rooms were very nice and the size was great. The staff was very helpful in helping with the internet issues and recommending fantastic resturants. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would like to stay again when in Rome.
The Hotel architecture, location, lobby sitting choices, sixth floor breakfast setting views, table settings facing windows, outdoor patio, quiet, 24 hr lobby, information gladly given with helpful city maps, it made my visit to Rome a wonderful experience. Thank you.
Great location. Good value for the money. The staff is very helpful.
The staff at reception was very friendly and helpful. The room was smely and dirty, 2 stars standards. Slept with windows open for the smell coming from the rotton wardrobe.
The breakfast was great and the breakfast too Is on the sixth floor overlooking the park and the Vatican City. Beautiful!
The doors needed to be painted. Cllean, quiet great location. The breakfast only had hot eggs everything else was cold wish they served bananas coffee &tea was good . Staff was nice ham, turkey & cheese yogurt cerial was good
Extremely helpful and friendly staff . The Front desk in particular. Any questions were answered resolved efficiently. I found the manager I believe his name was Claudio very very accommodating. He made our stay in Rome even more special . Strongly recommend this hotel to others . Close to all the sites .
Beautiful location but stay away
A beauiful hotel in its day that is rundown. The room smelled musty, the fridge was warm and when I asked for ice was told the machine didn’t work. I will never stay here again
Great location, very nice staff, you get more than you expect with this hotel and location
Excellent customer service, friendly. Pretty amazing breakfasts with a beautiful view. Pastries to die for. Very good value for money.
Nice hotel, very good location, very close to the metro, great view
Excellent
It is so quite clean and good services
Very clean, quiet room. Restaurant for breakfast was beautiful with fantastic city views. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were disappointed to be told that the bar is closed.
The property is very clean and the staff available and friendly. The breakfast buffet was lovely and fresh. Walls could be repainted and carpeting while clean was very stained but all in all would definitely recommend and stay there again
Breakfast buffet nice with view of St Peters. Staff SUPER friendly. Great value for money.
We are a family of 4 (2 kids aged 9 and 11) and just returned from a week in Rome, staying at Hotel Eliseo. We were impressed with the wonderful and very accommodating staff; my son lost his music ipod in the hotel lounge and they turned the place upside down to find it! We also enjoyed the great cappuccino, nice breakfast and views from the top floor. I would definitely recommend the hotel as good value for money, central position and lovely staff.
Great Hotel
Wonderful room and good staff service! Great breakfasts!! Good location to everying!
Great tteat !! Super helpful personnel, great dining room, ample rooms and bathrooms.. old style quality!
Awesome Nice lobby for sitting and good size rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. The only thing that could be improved is the air conditioning. It was cool and comfortable but I would have liked it a little cooler. It was 30 degrees C with might have affected the efficiency.
Perfect location
Great location, close to Spanish steps. Fast check in. Staff friendly. Lovely breakfast area with views of Rome. Would definetly recommend to others and we would go back.
Great hotel near the US Embassy. close to Hard Rock Cafe and right next to the Borghese Gardens.
It was over all ok nothing special We had you ask all the time for sugar milk Breakfast was not good
The staff was rude and racist.. Bedding was disgusting. You’re not allowed any guest in the room. They had my gust wait outside and threatened to call the police.
Do not stay here!
Do not stay here! As soon as my family and I entered our room it smelled, no ventilation, and I found bugs on the toilet paper. The sheets were dirty and it was very uncomfortable. I strongly believe that this hotel needs major improvement in its appearance and cleanliness. It was absolutely horrifying sleeping in appalling conditions that my family and I decided to book elsewhere for the remainder of our trip. Will never stay here again.
We has a very good time
Close proximity to main sites. Breakfast was good. Service and front desk very. Eventhough hotel is a bit old, very clean.
Awful, uncomfortable bed - like laying on concrete. Air con didn’t work. Awful cheap hotel.
Good location
The Hotel was nice overall. A/c wasn’t working. It was so hot in room. Good location. Breakfast was ok.one plug point in the room. Had to unplug fridge to plug the kettle. Had to put kettle on floor.
Close to the action
Hotel’s location is great as it is walking distance to most attractions. Staff is the best part of the hotel as they are friendly and ready to help. Breakfast was great - simple but filling with bread, cheese, cold cuts, tomatoes, mozzarella, yogurt, cereal, pastries, etc. Rooms are older and ac broke on second day though. We were ok as we like it hotter anyway. Liked our stay overall
Good location. Rooms extremely small. Weak AC.
Good location. Walking distance to top attractions and restaurant. Breakfast was very nice and the view on the restaurant floor (6th) was spectacular. Room was very small and bathroom extremely tiny. No room to move. The air conditioner was very weak so room was hot.
Disappointing
We stayed here 8 years ago and felt let down this time. The tired decor, mediocre breakfast broken safe and dodgy electrics were poor. Some of the front of house staff were grumpy and unhelpful and let down the friendly and effective cleaning and waitress staff The views from the roof are still stunning and the position is great but would really benefit from a makeover
very good hotel, perfect location
very good hotel in one of the best location in Rome, beatyfull terrace on the top roof for breakfast

Nice hotel. Great location. Clean. No bar. Front of house staff could be more friendly. Room small but adequate. Breakfast good
