The hotel met all of our expectations, the location was perfect for everything we wanted to do in Madrid during our 2 day stay…short walks to all the things on our “to do” from there!

This is good for location east walking distance to cathedral and palace and central market squares. Lots good choices for meals all around

Good hotel In town

The Mirador de la Puerta del Sol hotel has an excellent location, the hotel is very well maintained and the rooms too, the reception is a small place but they make the registration fast, clean rooms, and it has a refrigerator and heating, air conditioning, the hotel has a good price per night, an area where you can eat your own food and heat it up and it is most recommended if you want to be close to the center of Madrid.

Easy access to downtown Malaga (food and bars), and was quiet! Felt like living in an apartment!

The hotel was perfect for me. If you are looking for no frills, good, clean, safe and confortable place to rest after a long day of sightseeing this is a good choice. Good A/C and clean bathroom. Beds were confortable and clean. The location near Puerta del Sol for me is ideal. The hotel has elevator and a lounge area were you could eat take out good in confort. The rooms are very quiet. There was a concert at Sol with hundreds of people and the sound didn’t intrude. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only warning is to not use the Expedia map link, it takes you to the wrong place a few meters away but enough to make you concerned. Instead type the address from the invoice and you’ll get there just fine. I would definitively recommend for those looking foe this type of hotels.

Glad it was just one night

I would not stay there again. Cons: room felt like a trap, too small and rundown, no air, windows would not open completely, bed was too soft, big stains in the furniture, strong smell of cheap cleaning products. Pros: location was where I wanted it, next to Puerta del Sol, and staff was nice.

Excellent location, 2 minutes from Sol Metro station, few minutes walk to Gran Vie. Next by Cafes and restaurants However, lack of amenities. Don't even have kettle in the room! Everything is a bit dated.

This property is smack dab in the middle of everything. I was able to walk to everything from Retiro Park and the Prado Museum... to the Royal Palace on the other side of town. It is situated on a busy pedestrian-only street, so your driver will have to drop you off a block or two away. The front desk staff workers were outstanding. The room was small, but clean and had all that I needed.

Hotel is a really simple hotel that will give you what you need. Nothing special, but nothing less than the daily needs. Chances are you'll be out and about anyways. Convenient to the Sol Metro station and many restaurants around the area. I would stay here again.

Only there for one night for football. Hotel was in a great location. 5 mins walk from Gran Via & 1 min from Sol. Would stay again if back for a one night stay in Madrid

Good quiet location

Good-sized room, quiet because window opened on an air shaft. Central location off Sol.

The hotel is in the perfect location in the middle of everything in Madrid. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. The building itself is old and you can hear the noise from the wood floors when other guests walk in the hallways. The room we stayed in was really small with small beds which for me was not comfy but ok. I'm 5'8 160# but anyone bigger would have a very uncomfortable sleep. One thing they really need to do is to update the showers in the bathroom. They were the "portable", kit showers and you can hardly fit inside it's so small. But if you don't mind these things then it's a good hotel for the price.

Central hotel to Sol Metro station.

Great centrally located hotel in Madrid, close to Sol metro station. We had a wonderful 2 night stay here. We had two rooms booked. The only problem with the hotel is it is extremely noisy due to late night revellers and early morning street cleaners.

Very friendly staff

This is a no frills hotel in the heart of Puerta del Sol. It was clean and convenient but not luxurious if thsat is what u need, book elsewhere. All in all though for me it was a good experience.

The property is located in a very conscientious central area of Madrid. All major sites are walkable. There are plenty of good restaurant options. Also it is transportation hub with metro. Rail and other services easily available. You can also find coupe of hip on hop off stops closer to this location. Overall property was nice with decent amenities . Would recommend hotel to add breakfast offering

The stay was fine comparing to the price and location, the most important was clean, and the bed was single but comfortable, i recommend this hotel for short stay.

I came to have a vacation with my son and have a good time. What it means to explore the Madrid as much as I can. Every single day of my 6 days of staying there, I couldn’t fall asleep at in the evening. It’s extremely, extremely loud. I was reading the response of the management of the hotel that they are working on the improvements of the windows in there since 2016, I guess nothing has been done, very disappointed.

Great location with many food and shopping opportunities.

The hotel is just off pubertal del sol and the second floor common area has a great view of street. There are many bakeries and restaurants in this area as well. Noise might be a problem if your room is on the street side of the property, but ours was pretty quiet since it was near the small courtyard ( not a nice view though). The hallway can be a little noisy.

Taxis cannot get to the property. Due to its closeness to Puerta del Sol, taxis are not allowed to enter the street where the hotel is located, so if you have luggage or have limited mobility then you have a serious problem and this hotel is not recommended. Otherwise, nice staff, small but clean rooms; no restaurant only vending machines, but outside there are places to eat or buy foodstuffs.

Stay close enough to the action without the noise

So close to everything! If you're going to stay in Madrid, stay in Puerta del Sol. Hotel El Mirador is close enough to the action without being too loud from all the performers in the plaza. Get a balcony room to watch all the people walking by under! So close to great restaurants, cafes, bars, discos, shopping, everything. Fast and easy check in. The showers have music in them!

Very good but noisy option

Very good hotel in a very good location,right in the middle of the action,whichcomes with a price: the excessive noise up to 3 maybe 4 am. Still a good option and i would come back without a doubt.

Everything excellent , centrally located, right on Sol square and walking distance to most hostorical Place. Clean and tidy hotel .friendly helpful staff except the receiptionist on duty the morning we left, who demanded in an arrogant manner our room number when we came down early to go out for BF, her manner suggested we were not hotel guest. When checking out she totally ignored us so we had no choice but left the keys on the counter

Clean property but the air condition was not working. Rooms are very hot. We booked three rooms and all have the same issue. However, they rooms are very clean and the hotel is in a great area.

Wonderful location and decent sized room. Despite this, I do not recommend this hotel. The room smelt old and musty every day we entered the room, the aircon needed servicing, the bed was uncomfortable, the pillows were the worst we’ve experienced across a world of hotels, hostels and bed and breakfasts. The sound travelled through the building so much that we heard everything throughout the night, including our neighbour’s room key being put into the slot. The cleaners are extremely loud in the mornings so after a terrible sleep there is no chance of a sleep in to recover.

it was an amazing stay. the property is located at the most wonderful location possible. all major attractions were walking distance. area was very safe as the local police headquarter was just two buildings away. Metro station just a few steps away. the hotel is very good and friendliest staff I have ever come across. Hugo, Jasmine and Dorine( I hope I have spelt it correct) were wonderful and very helpful. I checked out and had a late night flight back home that day. I sat in the first floor waiting area and was very well taken care of by the staff. the rooms are spacious considering it is an european locations. If you are a light sleeper I will advise you to take backside rooms. You will not have any view though. I had no such issues as I am a very sound sleeper. The area has so many options for shopping and restaurants. very good hospitality.

This little hostel is more like a hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location is right in the Puerta del Sol which if you haven't been to Madrid, is a very lively area. You can expect to hear people outside on the streets until 5 am. If you are looking for a quiet room to get some sleep at midnight, look elsewhere.

The staff were excellent, very friendly and the hotel was very clean and the location was excellent however, our room had the lift on one side and the room next door’s shower room on the other side. Earplugs were needed to sleep as the constant noise from the shower and toilet flushing and the lift noise both until the early hours of the morning made it very difficult to sleep.
