It was the most terrible hotel I've ever stayed. 1. I booked a twin room with a bath tub for 3 days but staff said there is no bath tub in this hotel. (Even I showed them my booking reference and written ''twin room and bath tab'') 2. I couldn't close the window properly. The lock was broken. 3. Breakfast was cancelled on day 1 because there is no staff (sick off). 4. I couldn't sleep well as walls are too thin and noisy. No lights in the bathroom on day 2, and finally they changed my room to twin bed with bath tub which I actually booked (so it does exist then). I haven't got refund for the room and on day 1 breakfast yet. It's a shame because the area was so convenient but I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all.

Excellent location and great attention to detail from exceptionally friendly staff, especially Alicia. Hard to fault, lacks air con so may be an issue in heatwave but windows fully open. Discounted parking is an example of the hotel’s intention to please guests. Little things like printed weather forecast inside lift is another example.

Great location, friendly staff

We booked for 4nights but liked the place and it's location we extended our stay. Yes the hotel rooms are hot but sure the staff could arrange a fan. We didn't bother, just opened the windows. Bin men were noisy at all hrs but that's not the hotels fault.

Lifted the duvet cover to discover a giant nasty brown stain. Then checked the other bed and it had a another giant black stain. So, it must mean the duvets have never been washed since the hotel opened, which by the looks of the room it must have been a long time ago. The floor also smelled strongly of smoke and the carpet was very dirty. You could also hear the street noise as well as the guests in the other room. Horrible experience.

Great location for access to Restaurants, Bars, Shopping and metro links. Main train station within easy walking distance. Choose this hotel for access to all of above and the parking facilities, which were great. Our room was very clean, spacious, loads of storage space and an amazing bathroom. A really good choice at breakfast - continental and cooked choices. Above all of that the Reception Staff were amazing, helpful with our questions about the area and away out of Dusseldorf - thank you so much. However, a very special thank you to Anita who looked after us at Breakfast and answered our many questions we asked her, you are a credit to the Hotel :-). Loved our stay!

Incredibly helpful reception staff. We arrived in Dusseldorf in the morning, long before check in time, the Hotel stored our cases so that we could explore the city. Also, printed the boarding passes for our next flight. Definitely recommend this Hotel.

Not as expected.

We booked this 4 hotel so that we could see the start of the Tour de France. We expected more from a 4 star hotel for the price we paid. The room was adequate, the bed ok however the bathroom was tired and the floor tiles scratched. The sealant around the bath was discoloured and the bath had been chipped and repaired. We were disappointed to have to pay extra for a car parking space and breakfast after we had paid so much for the small room. The wifi in the room was inadequate and we had chosen the hotel as it said wifi available as we needed to keep in contact with important developments in our business.

passport stolen from hotel room

My passport was stolen out of the locked hotel room. Hotel staff was not even willing to call the police for me. Someone with access to the keys must have gone into my room when I went out for dinner.

No Aircon

Good value and service but unbeatably hot as the hotel had no air conditioning- how can it be 4 star but not have air con???

Nice hotel; got a room overlooking an inner court. Everything impeccably clean. No one told us we needed to reserve parking, but there were (cheaper) parking garages within a short block's walk). near U-Bahn, grocery store, bakery. Major department store district 3 blocks away, easy walk.

The price was very high (during show week) and the general condition didn't measure to a 4 star hotel. Noisy due to construction in the area.

A good option.

I stayed with friends for 2 nights on a football trip. The hotel is just off one of the main shopping roads. The Aldstadt with all the restaurants and nightlife is a 15 minute stroll and the Rhine 20 minutes. The main train station is about 20 minutes stroll. There are two tram stops within a 5 minute walk too, one for the station and another to go towards the Aldstadt. The staff couldn't be more helpful. I would definitely recommend the best Western Dusseldorf City hotel and would stay here again.

Christmas market break

The hotel is very well located near a tram stop. Very clean, very friendly staff always willing to offer help, great hot and cold breakfast with a wonderful server. Comfortable soft beds and quite large rooms. Would definitely stay there again whilst visiting beautiful Dusseldorf.

3 Star hotel instead of 4 Star.

More like 3 star instead of 4. I can tell they've tried to make the rooms better by bringing in new furnitures. But the rooms are too old. Serious renovation is needed. If you are looking for 4 star hotel. This should be your last choice.

practically no service meaning no room service, very simple minibar,no concierge even to help you with your luggages, vary bad housekeeping. it seemed like only one person at the reception was responsible for all enquiries very expensive for such hotel

Easy, simple hotel

Had a good 1 night stay. Neighbourhood is central enough to run around Dusseldorf which is a rather small city. 'Fitness centre' is 1 universal set and a treadmill. Friendly service. Bar and restaurant doesn't seemed rather quiet or not even open when I arrived and checked out.

We had a good comfortable stay. the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. the rooms are spacious and good value for money. Improvements - our room did not have air conditioning. The breakfast is very expensive so we did not eat at the restaurant. Consider dropping the price to make it competitive compared to nearby coffee shops and cafes.

lovely experience

i had a good experience. easy access to the main train station - 3-5 minutes by bus only two stops or 6-10 minutes walk as per your speed. wifi was good. and very short walk to the shopping malls. Room size was good, very clean room and bathroom. no complaints. plan to stay here every time if this stays like this.

Friendly Service

I received a very friendly welcome from the helpful receptionist. My room was clean, comfortable and well equipped (it was however rather small for a 4* establishment). The contents of the mini-bar were very reasonably priced (unlike most 4* establishments!) The breakfast buffet was excellent. overall an enjoyable stay.

Large room without air condition!

The room was very large with two sections. The staff was very friendly. The problem is the lack of air condition in the room while it was about 30 C in Dusseldorf. I opened the windows but they were on the street where the train runs until one O'clock in the morning. Beside, there was a big construction outside. In summary, although the room was large and convenient, sleeping quality at least in the summer time, was close to zero.

Near town

A littele bit far from nearest DB station, but actually convenient place for those of you who use tram. It is close to Ost strasse and Japanese noodle restaurant.

Bad maintenance and cleaning

My stay was terrible, the maintenance and cleaning condition of the hotel is very low.In addition, I was not told that there are construcion work out side the hotel. Workig noise started every day 5:00 in the morning just out our room's window.

Good price and location

This hotel is centrally located, has power adapters for multiple countries built into the room, and was very comfortable. The decor is a bit dated, but the room comes with free wifi, free water, and is clean and liveable. The staff was very helpful (allowing us to rebook day after day since we did not know how long we would be in Dusseldorf). Overall, we were pleased -- it was too bad that the hotel's restaurant has closed, though. But again, the price and location were very good for this hotel.

Decent hotel but no gym

A lovely little hotel that is well placed for the old city. My only issue was that the hotel advertise a gym. A broken treadmill, an exercise bike and a few weights does no make a gym. Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel itself was very nice and the staff were very helpful. Unfortunately due to the ongoing works in the city which are right outside the hotel it was noisy at times (even in the night). Very handy for the city centre though and bus routes nearby to get to the Messe center.

Mit der U-Bahn, die direkt vor dem Hotel gelegen ist, kommt man schnell von A nach B. Es ist nicht Super-Zentrale, aber zentral genug, um schnell in die Altstadt oder zur Königsallee zu kommen. Personal ist gut, das Frühstück Standard, das Zimmer, was wir dieses Mal hatten ein Traum.

Hotellet er egentlig fint. Værelset har en god størrelse. Sengene er dog helt forfærdelige - de er meget bløde og der er blevet ligget en del på den ene side 😅 puderne er meget store. Der er ingen håndsæbe på badeværelset og toilettet er virkelig lavt. Det tager meget, meget lang tid for badevandet at blive varmt. Hotellet ligger i god afstand til både shopping og den gamle bydel.

Das Zimmer war sauber, das Hotel ist haustierfreundlich und die Lage nahe der Altstadt ist sehr gut. Es war ruhig in der Seitenstrasse und einen Parkplatz hatten wir auch. Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Soweit alles sehr gut. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück war umfangreich, warm und kalt, süss und herzhaft, für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Aber ein paar Sachen hätte ich doch erwartet, wie Brötchen vom Bäcker oder richtiges Brot, keine Aufbackware. Alles in allem sind die 4 Sterne schon eine Zeit lang her, würde ich sagen. Nichtsdestotrotz, das Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis war ok.

Sehr ruhig, sauber. Das Interieur wird aktuell gewechselt, daher kann man natürlich Mängel an Armatur oder Möbel erkennen, aber das ist alles eine temporäre Sache. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, aber beim nächsten Mal buche ich das Frühstück noch dazu. Das Personal ließ keine Wünsche offen!

The lights in my room didnt work properly, seemed a bit austere compared to the other hotels in Germany I visited but the bed was comfortable and location is great.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und direkt am Nahverkehr angebunden. Auf den Zimmern gibt es Wasserkocher und Kühlschrank, was unser Hauptkriterium war. Leider entdeckten wir im Schrank Unterhosen vom Vorgänger, was ein absolutes No Go ist. Wir durften zwar das Zimmer wechseln, allerdings vermissten wir eine aufrichtige Entschuldigung. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung, aber für 17,50 Euro pro Person doch recht teuer.

Leider entsprechen die Bilder absolut nicht der Realität. Das Personal war wirklich sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Jedoch gab es keine Klimaanlage oder jegliche alternativen um gegen die Hitze was zu unternehmen. Viele Spinnweben aber sonst allg. OK was die Sauberkeit betrifft.

Staff very friendly - a bit disappointing quality

I was there on a relatively warm day and night. My room was facing the street and that cocktail was not so good for my sleep. I opened the window for some fresh air, but in came noise. As expected in a busy city. It’s not their mistake. Maybe they could ask their guests, where they prefer to sleep. At the back (a bit more calm) or on the front. The receptionist was very friendly and the breakfast served in the room due to Corona was good. I missed a glass or a cup in the room, which made drinking water difficult. Of course one manages, but it would have been nice with a cup. After all, it’s a 4 star hotel.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral. Zur U-Bahn sind es nur wenige Gehminuten. Man kann die Altstadt sehr gut auch zu Fuß erreichen. Das Frühstück war sehr gut - die Freundlichkeit des Personals ausgezeichnet.

Wir waren nur für 1 Nacht im Hotel, aber wir waren sehr zufrieden. Bis zur Altstadt sind es knappe 15 Gehminuten, man hätte aber auch die Straßenbahn direkt vor der Tür. Das Zimmer war recht groß und gemütlich, alles sauber. Die betten waren sehr bequem, aber auch recht laut, wenn man sich mal bewegt hat. Frühstück war lecker, finde ich aber zu teuer. Alles in allem weiterzuempfehlen :)

Prima in het centrum en verrassend rustig in de nacht

Das Hotel befindet sich in Altstadt-Nähe und hervorragend an die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel angebunden. Auch zu Fuß ist der Weg in die Altstadt nicht weit. Das Hotel hat genauso wie der Besuch eines Konzertes zu einem wunderschönen Wochenende beigetragen. Vielen herzlichen Dank!!!!

Gute Lage

Mein Zimmer hat gar nicht dem Bild der Beschreibung entsprochen. Für 80 Euro für eine Nacht und eine Person darf man auch wenigstens ein komplett sauberes Zimmer mit einem gescheiten Bad verlangen. Nicht weiterzuempfehlen...

Altes Hotel sehr zentral

Leider war es nicht möglich im Parkhaus des Hotels zu parken, da ausgebucht. Nächstes Parkhaus ca. 400 Meter entfernt. Die Zimmer waren sehr altmodisch und dreckig. Überall Haare und einiges war kaputt. Keine Nachtische am Bett und Steckdosen um zum Beispiel das Handy zu laden weit entfernt. Personal freundlich.

Het was super. dicht in het centrum. we zijn leuk ontvangen. Alleen een minpunt is dat de winkels op zondag gesloten zijn.en ook heel veel eet tentjes. dat mag wel vermeld worden als je gaat boeken.

Das Hotel befindet sich in guter Lage. Das Team war immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Von der Zimmerausstattung hätte ich mir ein bisschen mehr erhofft, gerade in einem 4 Sterne Hotel. Aber ansonsten war alles ok.

Helt ok hotell. Var ikke helt iht. forventningene utfra bildene. Hotell fremsto som betraktelig mer slitt enn forventet. Hadde betalt for oppgradert rom, men fikk samme rom som alle andre som reiste samtidig. Var en del støv og urenheter på gulvet, og det var ikke kjempegodt vasket. Naborommet med reisefølget hadde masse smådyr på gulvet og de var begge plaget med kløe etter oppholdet. Det var også ett ekkelt belegg på veggen i dusjene hos oss alle. Frokost var ikke bra. Det ble ikke fylt opp etterhvert som det ble tomt, og tilslutt (08:30) var det bare rundstykker og ost igjen. Ingen varm-mat.
