Well-lit path to entrance
We stayed here before our first child and got the same room after having our child so was nice to stay in the same room.
Loved my stay; the room was beautiful, with tall ceilings and a giant mural of a forest, and the washroom was super modern and well designed. The area nearby was right next to a bus stop, and near a bunch of shops, restaurants, and a library. And: a short walk to old Quebec too. Perfect place!
The front desk was amicable. However, the hotel needs more attention to be clean, greater lighting in halls, and more welcoming at the front entrance of steps area. Front Desk should help guests more and with luggage up the steps.
really easy experience
This place is very convenient and reasonably priced. Rooms are spacious and I was able to hold zoom meetings from there (I'm traveling for business). Staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful (and fluently bilingual!).
We had a great brief stay at this property, and loved the loft, open concept, modern style of the room. The bathroom was very small and cramped, but functional. We loved the proximity to restaurants and Old Quebec, walking distance.
Lovely stay walkable to Old Quebec
All excellent apart from expensive parking and close to a homeless community, but actually fine. Walkable (just) to old Quebec but we got taxi back both evenings. The accommodation itself was very well organised and room was great.
.
Great, comfortable place to stay.
Not good overall
Do yourself a favor, keep looking!
Be sure you notice the 4pm check in! The staff is rude, it's loud in the room and I was on the back, I can only imagine how loud the front rooms are. I wouldn't stay here again.
Loved the quiet and modern feel of the rooms, especially how spacious it was! There was an odd smell upon entering but that went away in a bit. Parking is a lil far though nothing a short 10min walk couldn’t do. Location wise was perfect for Old Quebec - far enough for it to be quiet and close enough to walk there and back (30-35min stroll).
The bedsheets are dirty and it got bedbugs. It should be closed, cleansed and updated before for renovated. It’s not recommended and it should not be listed on your site. Terrible experience.
Good location
Nice spot.
Stayed for a week and overall enjoyed my stay. My room windows gave on the street and it can be a bit noisy. Sound proofing between the rooms is decent but I had a heavy walker above me that could get annoying when trying to sleep.
Great place to stay
Nice location. Pleasantly surprised for room amenities.
A nice lofts hotel in Montreal
A quiet, nice loft hotel with a modern design. Very nice and helpful front desk staff.
Close to station Easy walk to tourist spots - albeit very hilly !! Did not realise the room was not serviced - not a huge issue but ran out of soap, no body wash, bins overflowing. Lovely comfy bed and soft bedsheets Great pizza place opposite station and supermarket close by.
No inside parking, no ice machine.
Pas de ménage fait pendant le séjour
Easy access to bus or restaurants About a mile walk to old town Quebec
Very comfortable and convenient to Saint Roch and the old city. Nice room and quiet!
This place was perfect for my stay, a fantastic value. The room was spotless. The shower is heavenly. And detailed instructions for AC and tv. Everything perfect. There was someone at front desk every evening. But I didn't know how to turn on the AC initially (the room was 24C), and I didn't know there were instructions through the QR code on the back of the door. I went back down to front desk but no one was there (the only time). I waited for a while and called the number but wasn't able to leave a message or get through to anyone. I eventually went back upstairs and figured it out so all good.
Clean, very comfortable and parking very close by.
Modern and aesthetic
Redundant check in process
Roon was great but the check-in process is complicated. You pre-pay for the room but then need to absolutely call back to give them your credi card information before getting an access code to the building/room. Redundant process.
Air conditioner did not work. Very basic loft with shower. Dark in the hallways. No parking within the block around the apartments.
The property is very decent for a short stay and very generous. Staff were super sweet and checkin/checkout was very easy.
Great space. Easy check in. Very comfortable bed, and amazingly quiet on such a busy street. Loads of parking in a lot just around the corner.
Only the second time we have tried a self-service "hotel". It is a good concept that delivers value. The room amenities in the Hotel du Jardin were somewhat disappointing compared to the full kitchen in the Sonder we had stayed at immediately before - not even a kettle, we heated water in the coffee machine (which didn't have any coffee supplied). Good location, though - 12 mins walk from the station and 25mins to the old town.
Excellent modern hotel with a classic twist. Check in process was smooth and easy! Great place to stay.
Loved the property and the room. Was very clean. The beds were so comfortable. The room was spacious. The bathroom got the job done. Did not see a single staff member - so if you were looking for any kind of service you'd probably have to make a phone call. Did not realize there was no parking. But there was a parking garage very close at a reasonable price.Would recommend. Would stay again.
Very convenient place. Love the self check!
it was very nice. Super room and everything was great !
Enjoyed not dealing with people. Rooms were clean and location was nice.
Kind staff, surprisingly spacious room, very clean and amenities stoked, love the high ceilings, definitely worth to back:)
Good value
Things were perfect for us including the geographic situation .
Stayed for 2 nights with my wife, we enjoyed our stay. Would come again.
This is a very modern property in an older building. Being in downtown, parking will be a problem. however if one walks or rides the city transit, it's an ideal location. Many major QC bus routes go by the hotel and one can reach many tourist locations without driving. The rooms are in the style of an AirBNB; bring your own toiletries, but towels are provided and a generous supply at that. I'd stay here again if I return to QC.
Stay in Quebec City
Without a front desk, check in is not so easy. You have to push a buzzer since I didn’t receive an email with a code. The voice that responds is French. It takes awhile and then you finally get someone who speaks English who lets you in. There is a person that sits at the desk when you get in who was able to look up our reservation and give us our room. The hallways to the rooms are all black (floors, ceilings, and walls) and very narrow with very poor lighting. You feel like you are walking through a Halloween experience! The room was good size with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was large with a nice shower but there are no shelves in the shower so no where to put soap or shampoo other than the floor. Just a little odd overall.
Nice room, clean and confortable beds.
.
The hotel hallway is very dark. The room is very basic with no refrigerator. The bathroom is small with no place to put soap or shampoo. Hotel is located some distance away from downtown attractions.
The property was basic but nice. The front desk staff were helpful.
Listen to the reviews on this one … it’s a great concept with poor execution. Couple of things to know: the hallways are black. The floor and ceilings are black. It’s jarring and weird. On the first night a portion of my bed frame literally fell down. I alerted management and was entirely ignored, which was weird because they responded super fast when needing an updated credit card. We were not supposed to have housekeeping for the three days we were there, they literally said “we don’t come in when you’re there” - which I prefer - yet on Day 2 I was awoken to a strange man from housekeeping pounding my door with his fist like the police. He then attempted to open my door, shaking it back and forth. If not for the deadbolt he would have come right in, scaring the crap out of my son. He never did identify himself as loft staff. As a woman alone with a child, this was terrifying. The peep holes are blurry, the hallways are pitch black and listening to someone try to force entry was awful. The 1st floor is much nicer than the 4th floor - the 4th floor has a hospital smell in the rooms. The sinks barely drain, the towels are literal sandpaper. No microwave which is totally weird, I can’t remember the last hotel I was in that didn’t have a microwave. Yes it’s cheaper than the surrounding options, and there’s a reason for that.
Great location and awesome service. Not a lot of amenities. Couldn’t work the television
Very unique. Very spacious room.
Highly recommend!
It was clean and convenient.
This is the most economical hotel in Quebec city. The room is dirty, and full of mold smell. Sheets came with dirty marks, hairs. Bathroom is tiny. No closet for clothes, no refrigerator, no microwave, no table... By the way, you will have to pay extra if the number of persons does not match with your registration. I booked a room with two queen beds for my family of 4. The listing obviously states "sleep 4" which did not bother me to change the number of persons. When I checked in, they asked me to pay $80 more because the kids were not in the booking. Adding all up, the cost was so expensive for a low-quality hotel. I have not seen this situation in US. In sum, it is ok if money saving is your only factor. If you need convenience, stay away. Not worth to stay.
Parking is not included, parking lot is not paved, daily rate of $18, concierge unavailable at nights and they gave incorrect information about nearby convenience store. Drove to convenience store provided by concierge at 11pm on a saturday evening and when we got there it was closed!
Loved my stay. Cute, clean hotel. Friendly staff. Great location. Lots of walkable restaurants nearby & walkable to old town quebec city too. Would stay here again!
Great place at affordable price
This is a very modern, renovated and clean hotel. Good location. We loved the place. The only disadvantages were the poor noise insulation, access to electrical outlets and there is no hair dryer. We recommend this place.
Nice hotel, close to INRS. Outdoor parking and good restaurants nearby. Room decor was lovely.
Would book again
Great position, lovely room, secure, private and quiet. Easy and efficient access, excellent communication with the company prior to arriving. All buses leave within a two minute walk of the door! Many shops and cafes locally and a short walk and elevator to the old town centre.
Quiet in good location.
We had booked fro three persons. One person could not travel. Request to change the room was not accomodated. The cofee maker had no electricity point where it was placed. No tea bags available in the hotel. The water was dripping from the roof of washroom onto the toilet seat. Reported to the front desk.
Was cozy and very clean Loved it
nice design, big confortable room with two double beds. the only thing we didnt like is they didnt had the room cleaned and beds made. the neighborhood is nice and with local dinner options.
a good stay... we were upgraded after the room we were assigned turned out to have only one electrical outlet. parking and access to hotel problematic, off main drag. good location and features.
The price of the night is really too much for what it is. windows with novew, facing to a wall. Very dark in the rooms.
Great location and very nicely totally redone modern rooms. Only things missing is a charging point in the room and hotel parking, but luckily was able to manage.
This property was about a 20 minute walk from city center of Old Town Quebec. Paid parking was very convenient around the corner from the lofts. The rooms were very minimalist but the bed was comfortabe. The hallways are all painted black and while some revues said it gave it an ambiance, I thought the hallways were too dark. When i walked into the non-smoking room we were staying in, it smelled of smoke to me. There was someone at the front desk (There are many Les Lofts throughout Quebec City and they say there is no front desk. We were lucky that Hotel du Jardin happens to have front desk people until midnight). That gentleman came up to room to see about the smoke smell but he said it was not smoke - that is how the room smells. They were sold out so we weren't able to switch rooms. The room was quiet but the air conditioner was not. We had to turn it off at night because of the noise it made.
The Lofts at St-Joseph were perfect for our stay in Québec City. The location was great and the loft was affordable but also a very upscale stay. We had an issue initially with our reservation but the staff were able to accommodate us and actually upgrade us due to the oversight.
In the room you see tv (just decor and reapited 1 chanel radio music). and there are coffee maker and iron just for decoreted the room without wordrobe just 1 small chair you can not find ONE power outlet to use for cellphone charger and other decoret goods we had big trable for charge the phone just one pewer outlrte in bathroom that with danger we chatge one by one .after shower you can not hair dryer and price shold be same as basic motel
Nice rooms, quiet.
Clean, nice room, high ceilings. A bit hard to get to electrical outlets but otherwise typical room.
The room was nice, fresh air and the air conditioning was good. Very modern, industrial interior but everything we needed. BUT: we were given no info during booking about no parking and that we would receive an email with codes needed to enter. The staff was helpful though to clear up the confusion. An email with room # and entry codes had arrived but I was not expecting it so missed it.
No TV guide, the towels weren’t put out, left under sink, room not made up despite sign, very minimalist
Great place to stay!
The noise level at 3 in the morning was terrible. Bang bang bang above our room. The sound echoes in the room.
I liked the room I wish there was a pair of sleepers to wear indoor
We had a great time at the Hôtel du Jardin. Self check-in was very convenient. Great location, good price. Would stay here again.
Large clean rooms! Bathroom was very nice and check in was easy and convenient
Good
Comfortable beds but noise and experience not good
Check in was so confusing. We needed a code to unlock the front door which we never got because the hotel did not have our credit card information as it was booked on this site. So why are they using hotels.com if they can’t fully do the reservation. Thankfully there was someone still at the tiny check in area. Bathroom sick would not drain so brushing your teeth or washing was difficult. Beds were comfortable but couldn’t get a good sleep because whoever was above us decided to walk around or exercise from 4am on. No soundproofing from above so you hear every time some one walked.
Que no hubiera limpieza diaria
Check in compliqué
Great modern design and well decorated. Spacious bathroom, comfy bed.
Modern Hotel in Downtown Quebec City
Les Lofts seems to have a number of properties in Quebec. Hotel du Jardin is located on the main road in what seems to be Downtown Quebec. It is not in Old Quebec, which is a 15-20 minute walk away. It is fairly convenient as the hotel is located 1 block away from Rue St Joseph - it was just a bit quieter with COVID and the shoulder season so not many restaurants were open when I visited. At the hotel, the rooms were very spacious and had great high ceilings (a loft). The shower was quite nice with a rainwater feature as well as the standard spray. WiFi was very good and reliable. Staff were very helpful and friendly. A nice feature of the hotel was that everything is keyless - guests get a code for the door so that relieves the need for an access card of a physical key. All information (including wifi code and code for the main door) is sent via email prior to check-in which is quite efficient and novel. Would recommend a stay at this location again.
Very nice. Access was easy. It was quiet. Overall excellent.
The property wasn't far from the train station so was convient. However my first room had a large amout of ants in there and I had to change rooms. This was done without hesitation by the front desk and the new room had no issues.
Enjoyed my stay here. Rooms were modern, elegant and clean. This is a great place to stay if you don’t care about extra amenities like pools etc but you want a chic modern affordable place close to good places to eat and see. I like the self checkin it was very efficient and felt the team was responsive when I had questions. Would stay here again in future.
Overall cute pleasant downtown hotel
The hotel is quite modern and you can tell it was recently renovated, compared to many other listed hotels in Quebec city. I like how easy it was to check in and out, and the front desk speaks good English. If you are just looking for a clean place to sleep and is also convenient enough for you to walk around downtown, this is perfect. However, for us, we are more comfort-seeking. The construction did not bother us as much since we came during the long weekend (there was no noise outside yet), but the blocked road outside was definitely something we needed to get used to. We only stayed here for one night then we migrated to Hilton (with bigger bed and a great scenery out of our windows). For what it costs, I think this place is great. I love the hotel is located in a cool area with lots of restaurants (or more local-like places without steep price tag). We literally spent half of our afternoon in a book store nearby by then sat in a cafe.
Nice and clean room, new hotel. A few improvements are necessary. Please get coffee back in a room! Construction around property made it hard to access. If possible please communicate in both official languages. We did not get a code to come into the building as they did not get our credit card. I thought you first come in and then pay.
Perfect for short stays in the downtown area! Within walking distance to everything you need. Extremely clean and spacious! The limited interaction with staff and other guests made it a very COVID-conscious experience as well.
Very clean and well-maintained; good aesthetics as well!
was good stay
Hallways are painted black so very dark manovering to the rooms. Construction going on in front of hotel (dug out around foundation of building) and on the street. Parking is a block and a half away. Lots of shady looking young men in the area and the city in general.
Overall Good.
Toilet wasn’t working properly. Had to open the back and play with the mechanisms to make it work. A/C wasn’t pushing that much cold air and made a annoying noise. Had to turn it off for the night.. couldn’t sleep with that noise.
Everything was for one person even though the reservation was for two, the shampoo, towels everything. There was a very bad construction in from it the hotel which made the whole experience very unpleasant. Very basic stuff was missing. I know that the price is low but I feel I have not received the service even for this price
Too many renewing going on...
the Hotel was renewing, the street in front of it is construction. I'd like to know that before booking...
Worst place to stay
Good king mattress. Quiet room. Good price but the room and the hallway needs a refresh. Long and black painted hallway are not really inviting.
Comfortable beds, clean, nice concierge, street construction next door. Stairs to get in was inconvenience

Bien
