Staff are friendly, room is spacious and clean.
On the river overlooking the castle.
Old queen of a hotel that is not fully restored.
NEAR THE TOWN AND THE TEMPLER SITES
Lovely staff amazing interior swimming pool And piano bat Friday Definitely we will be back!
Great staff!
This hotel was such a wonderful experience that we extended our stay for two extra nights. Plenty of secured parking at very good rates and the breakfast was easily the best we had during our two week stay. The town of Tomar was lovely with wonderful restaurants and sights. There were also lots of fun shops. A very good home base from which to visit other centrally located towns and tourist sights. Highly recommended.
I liked all except breakfast. Food was mediocre.
Nice hotel
Really nice hotel if you're going to Tomar. I'd recommend it.
Excellent and friendly service, particularly in the lounge area.
Nice, clean hotel. However, employees don't seem happy & it shows. Charging for parking & even worse charging for the room coffee pods. Breakfast for as good.
Property is fine but a little dated and tired.
Hotel is very old. Beds and pillow are so inconfortable. No service. Really bad breakfast. The only good things, we stayed only one day.
Very nice, convenient hotel.
Beautiful hotel in very nice area with very easy dealing access to historical sites. Absolutely first-choice for a stay here.
Great property, staff friendly and helpful, great restaurant and excellent food offerings.
Beautiful hotel. Great rooms. Wonderful breakfast
Beautiful hotel. Would definitely recommend! A nd the breakfast...out of this world amazing!
A suburb hotel. Patios in every room and right next to a nice park. Tastefully decorated. Indoor and outdoor pools. Good breakfast buffet.
Excelent
It was an amazing experience. All the installations in this property are very good. The location is 2 block of Tomar city. Breakfast was of good quality. Parking very big. I recommend this hotel.
Grand
She’s a grand old lady just needs updated carpets. Everything about this hotel was classy, the employees, surroundings, the outside grounds. Highly recommend this hotel. Close to all the sites you will want to visit. Sure glad we had the opportunity to stay here .
The property is very well kept by the staff. Hotel is very clean and safe , offering all the amenities. The front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful ...
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. The staff are always friendly, the breakfast is great and caters for all tastes. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well-kept. The grounds are also well maintained by what seems an army of gardeners. There is plenty of parking. One negative though, which my partner always comments on, is the unevenness of the carpet in the bar area, her being not so clever on her pins, is always weary of trip hazards.
Breakfasts was really good however, a little bit crowded on the weekend so, better to be there before 9 o'clock to skip lines
The restaurant not good. Basic food. Few choices, nothing special. The pools both inside and out were COLD. Not enjoyable. Masseuse Ana was great.
Outstanding in every aspect of a hotel stay ! Will surely stay there again should we have the good fortune to revisit Portugal !
Very comfortable and great location
Great hotel, clean and safe, old town Tomar is right accross the street. Clean pool, great bar, we traveled every day so the breakfast buffet came in handy before hitting the road or going on tours. Very happy with our stay at the Hotel. American Airlines lost our bags, on day 3 we returned to our room and found that our bags had magically arrived, thank you for helping us, we had a awesome time in Tomar.
The young lady (with braces)who was on duty by the pool giving the towels out was very friendly, sweet and helpful. The televisions in the rooms need updating and to be bigger.
Great location & venue. Staff helpful & friendly. Rooms large & comfortable.
Very good classic-style hotel.
Wonderful hotel with many facilities and a great breakfast, but unfortunatly I could not experience all of it as Tomar was too beautiful to spend time in this great hotel, I only had two days and there is too much to see in the area to enjoy the hotel in that short time. For some reason I would say the hotel has too many facilities for a place people visit to enjoy the history rather than the holiday. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm glad to stay in a hotel that had more than I could ever ask for. Muito Obrigado Hotel Dos Templarios.
Great hotel, great staff, great location.
Stayed only one night. The air conditioning broke down in the middle of the night during a heatwave. Otherwise, was a nice hotel with large cool lobby.
Beautiful pools in and out, staff was overall great, room was pretty big Nothing to complain about FYI shrimp bowl excellent at the restaurant in the hotel
If it were not for the front desk woman with brown hair and glasses our stay would have been great. She was relentless and annoying, taking up a good amount of my time arguing about my reservation. She needs to learn about customer relations and PR. Otherwise, the pool and room were spectacular as was the bar tender. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant and the close proximity to town. I though charging for the thimble sized coffee in the room was a bit much. Do I didn’t drink it.
Perfect location
Very perfect location for TOMAR
Great pool.
Love the hotel and location.. stay many times during the year.
Amazing hote with wonderful staff
Fantastic hotel and staff. This is absolutely the best place to stay in Tomar and we loved the pool. Our duplex room was stunning with amazing terraced. So comfortable and the beds set up for the children were brilliant.
Nice place
Great property with plenty of room, room was spacious
Modern hotel with excellent facilities but close to the old town
Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Very clean with modern fixtures. Pretty pool surrounded by gardens. A few too many stairs inside but most Portugal hotels do. Friendly and helpful staff. Cheap street parking. Highly recommended.
Excellent Location for walking into town to see the historic and quaint streets
Stay there but have dinner elsewhere
Beautiful hotel, large and modern. Our room was very good, with a balcony and a nice view of the Templars' Castle and the river. Good buffet breakfast. The only disappointment was about dinner at the hotel's restaurant. The menu was very limited and the food was tasteless.
Just one night……. We could stay here forever!
Great hotel.
Perfect location near old town. Spacious grounds. Helpful friendly staff. Good breakfast. Best hotel in Tomar.
Fabulously Tomar Trip
We had the best Balcony view of any Hotel stay in Portugal .The Hotel is perfectly positioned by the River in the Town. Hotel Staff are excellent with impeccable Customer Service. All public areas are clean & furnished wonderfully. Breakfast is excellent . The Bathroom was in need of refurbishment, it was very tired !! This is our 2nd stay & We would definitely stay again.
Wonderful room. Great restaurant. Good service.
A Templars retreat
A fantastic Hotel, great location, nearly as large as a resort. From the moment I arrived the staff were just super friendly, helpful and polite. The rooms are large comfortable and a mini suite. Breakfast was a delight. Hot, cold, cereal or fruit and pasties. A large carpark which costs e5.00 a day
Wonderful spot in a picturesque town! Highly recommend this stop on your tour of Portugal!
A stylish 1960s resort hotel property with meticulously maintained gardens, updated and spacious rooms, and very well staffed.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the outdoor pool in the hot weather but be warned it isn’t heated. The gym and sauna are small 3 or 4 people at most the situation of the hotel is very convenient for visiting the castle & convent, shops, cafes & restaurants . The hotel hosts lots of conferences. Odd number rooms overlook the park and pool. Even numbers overlook the car park and views to the castle. I felt there was mor bedding than was necessary, the air conditioning was quite noisy and there were no USB ports in the room. The decor of the overall hotel is beginning to show it’s age but overall I would visit again.
Nice property over all. Some water stains in bathroom.
Will definitely return
The hotel is in a fantastic position within walking distance of the historic centre and Convento de Cristo, but has loads of parking and spacious grounds. The rooms are large and comfortable although perhaps the bathroom was a little dated. The restaurant was very good. The overall impression was a really friendly place with helpful staff and a really good atmosphere. We would definitely recommend and return.
A very comfortable and entirely civilised hotel. Gracious staff, very quiet, piano bar, perfect location for touring Tomar. A slice of how genteel life used to be. Would definitely stay again!
This is quite a nice hotel. There weren’t many people there even though there was some kind of Knights Templar convention in town. We met one. I didn’t know it was still a thing. I went down for a drink and dinner but there was no bartender so I went to the restaurant and I was the only one there. I may have been early as it was only 2030h. I ordered a drink that wasn’t on the menu and seemed to cause some confusion but they brought it to me and it was really good. I ordered a Caesar salad that was really chicken croquettes with 3 small pieces of lettuce on top of them. It wasn’t what I was expecting but it also was very good.
There is a nice inside and outside pool to soaking after long day
Very good location with easy parking. Big proper hotel. Rooms are spacious. Bar so you can have a drink before slip. All attractions are in walkable distance. Pool and play ground for kids.
Big hotel but close to city centre. Large car park. Rooms big and well equipped, all have balconies.Public areas very impressive, good buffet breakfast. Would definitely stay again
It’s was very nice, convenient and great food and wonderful massage. I’ll stay again when in Tomar
Francisco at the bar was excellent, all of the staff were great.
Beautiful hotel, great location and a wonderful breakfast
Tomar
The staff was very professional and pleasant. The rooms were dated but clean and comfortable. The view from our room was fantastic. I am glad we came during the off season as we welcomed the quiet stay.
Stay in Tomar
Very spacious and clean room with good bed. Breakfast buffet with plenty of choice and including fresh fruits. Friendly personnel. Excellent location.
Easy walk to castle and monastery. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Easy to park. Rooms slightly dated. Good breakfast.
This hotel is located close to the city center -very walkable to everything. Gardens and grounds pretty and well kept. We enjoyed our suite with large balcony. Hotel itself a little out of date -bathrooms could use some renovating (mildew on caulking etc), but it definitely has charm. The parking system is irritating -having to get a ticket, then get it stamped -the booths and gates don't work half the time, but is a minor inconvenience in relation. The restaurant's food is good!
Beautiful and historic location.
Couldn't have been better. The staff at the front desk were so nice and helpful. It's within walking distance on everything you need.
Also liked that there was an indoor and outdoor pool.
Great one day stop over between Lisbon and Porto beautiful town and castle
Very nice. Modern charm.
This is a great hotel with a courteous and friendly staff. Associates at the desk went out of their way to help us get rides, find locations, and enjoy the town. The property is like a resort. Staying here is a very relaxing experience.
Comfortable, convenient for walking, friendly staff.
We were only there for one night. Would have liked to stay longer to enjoy the beautiful pool area. We had a very nice dinner in the hotel dining room
A beautiful hotel in a very beautiful setting Pristine grounds Easy parking Great staff courteous and friendly and very helpful also
Near main attraction
Top Hotel with everything
A top hotel. Very reasonable price for large room and great breakfast. Spa and swimming pools. Also, a nice town with great restaurants
Th staff were awesome in very way!!!
Location is perfect. The outside of the hotel and the common areas are very nice. The rooms can use some updating that is why I gave 4 stars for the condition of the property. Very good breakfast. Definitely would stay there again.
Great place to stay in Tomar
Fantastic hotel, perfect location. Pool area great.
The rooms are huge by todays standards, the river is peaceful, walkable to restaurants, shops in town and walkable to castle and convent. Large hotel property with grass area, trees . Pool is nice . Breakfast buffet is great with views of river.
Great hotel with on site parking
Lovely hotel close to castle and so on. Nice outdoor pool, friendly staff, on site parking at €5.00 is good value. We would stay there again if in the area
Not as good as it should be.
Second time of staying here after a six year gap. Nothing changed really at all. The gardens are superb and that is where the money goes I think. The reception area and front are old style marble but make a great first view. However, the rooms are a bit grim. Very old world with dark wood, dark furnishings, green everywhere and no plugs where you need them. The bathroom has a shower in the bath, but it is handheld . Something I’ve not seen for many years. Breakfast was a mixed affair. Fresh fruit and yoghurt, pastries, cereals ,fruit juice etc. The hot food was not good at all. Buffet style tin things with bacon in one, small mini cocktail sausage in another, scrambled egg and mushrooms in another. All lukewarm or cold . I found out on the last day that you could potentially ask for a different cooked egg , like fried or poached. Never saw a tomato for 10 days . It felt like you got the bare minimum that they could get away with. I felt a bit sad as the staff were superb on Reception and AnaRita at breakfast was brilliant. There are not a lot of hotels around Tomar and they are quite small in comparison. It will remain popular with travellers as it is near the famous monuments and sights.
Great hotel
Great location within walking distance to all of Tomar’s attractions. The rooms are very large and clean. Very good common areas and pool area. Attentive and polite staff. Only thing I would say is that they make you pay for parking and that information is not given upfront.
Good location Maintenance level moderate
Needs a bigger more modern television in rooms..... Shower gel replaced more often....
Lovely pool
Good location, nice pool and facilities. Good breakfast
Fabulous but needs a little improving (read more)
The hotel itself is VERY beautiful. The entrance, the reception area, the bar area are exceptionally elegant and huge. The rooms are all spacious and very comfortable, with good quality bed sheets. the bathrooms are all very large and very comfortable. The rooms and the bathrooms are very clean. The fridge works. This hotel would be fantastic if the TV channels actually were more than a very poor selection (and very few), if they placed a simple kettle in the room (because the coffee in the bar was awful, made by a young lady who simply does not know how to make coffee) and if they cleaned the pool areas a bit better. I found a plaster by the pool and the following night it was still there. The pools themselves are beautiful, very deep (the outside pool is fabulously deep). But I think they need more chlorine or salt because I felt "strange" afterwards (if you know what I mean). The balconies of the rooms are fabulous even if you book the cheapest room. The rooms facing the lagoon have a great view but they can be very noisy because they also face their "ballroom" or "party room", so I actually preferred the rooms facing the other side. This hotel has the potential of becoming one of the best in Portugal but they really need to improve their TV channels, their room amenities and the pools water management.
Very convenient property. Everything was within walking distance. Very safe environment
Fantastic
Its always great staying here. I try and come at least twice a year, and stay here.
Grand hotel. Spacious. Great facilities. Dated. Rooms, bedding, furniture need upgrade to match the facility. Convenient location at the foot of the Convent.
Great service and location. Stay here
Excellent service on check-in by Jessica. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Large comfortable room with quick hot water. Great location
A lovely hotel in the grand 1960s modern style. The rooms were very large and command a view to a large beautiful town park. It was an easy stroll into town with good restaurants and was less than 5 minutes from the Knights Templar Convent de Cristo. The one minor downside was that a hotel of this size caters to large bus tours which puts a minor crimp in the otherwise excellent feel to the place. Staff was very helpful and nice.
Clean, the room is deluxe, close to the park, restaurants and shopping within walking. Really love it. Will recommend to families and friends.
Excellent hotel, great parking though at a cost

Expansive property located along the river. Has a great view of Tomar castle. Parking is conveniently on the property but is not free. There is a restaurant and a lounge/bar on the property. The food is good but priced a little on the high side.
