We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. It is conveniently located within walking distance of all attractions in Rome. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They provided us all the information we needed to get the most out of our trip and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. . Hotel was clean and room was cleaned daily. Would definitely go back to this hotel and recommend to anyone who is looking to have a wonderful stay in Rome.
Very nice staff, very clean room and common areas, and located in a convenient area to explore Rome. Great value.
Excellent location in the heart of Rome
Hotel in the heart of Rome. The rooms were clean and made up everyday. Rebecca was very helpful in arranging transportation from and to airport as well as to the port. I would recommend this hotel.
Excellent staff! Very helpful and kind. Definitely a place to stay while passing through Rome.
Staff was amazing and so helpful, location was great, rooms a bit small and old though
Great quiet property- beds and sheets could have been softer and updated. Overall we enjoyed our time
This is a small family owned hotel that was clean and had very friendly and helpful staff.
The air conditioning was non existent and the mini fridge never cooled past lukewarm
Marco was great and made sure I had a pleasant experience. The hotel was clean and in a great location.
Everything was lovely, the receptionist (Romanian gentleman) was out of this world. He went above and beyond. Absolutely loved our time here and we miss it!
Super friendly and helpful hosts. Staff even arranging a driver and room key for us on very short notice, when they learned our flight was delayed so multiple hours and we would miss the check-in cut off. Great basic accommodation for a shorter visit. Room and amenities were clean and in good condition.
Must stay if ever in Rome
It was great to stay this property. It was homely and the room was made everyday even without asking.
Really nice staff, great area and great room.
AC was not working fully and also, fridge was not working
Staff was amazingly friendly!!
The staff were great and the location was great!
Really nice stay overall. Wall is a little bit thin so you may hear small noise from hallway. Staff were fantastic. the restaurant recommended by front staff was a top notch. Air conditioning works really well. Great stay and happily come back here again
Great place to stay in going to Rome! Would stay again
Marco at the front desk was incredibly helpful and friendly! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back!
Clean room, and close to train station and all tourist area.
We have now visited Rome 5 separate times and this was by far the worst hotel we have stayed at. Paper thin walls, incredibly rude staff, cheap and dated interior finishings. AC barely works, you can hear your neighbors using the bathroom next door IN DETAIL. Staff is incredibly unhelpful and not only rude but aggressive. Avoid at all costs.
The property is centrally located, very accessible to transportation and also close to some of the major attractions in Rome. The reception is exceptional- a very kind gentleman!
Easy access to train and dining
Perfect spot right in the heart of rome! Marco was so helpful with everything we needed. We hope to be back again soon! Sarah and matt
Basic but good. Would stay again.
Good basic hotel. Not too far from Roma Termini station. Clean & comfortable with friendly staff.
Staff, especially Marco, were very friendly and helpful.
hotel Dorica
lovely greeting on arrival, room was clean, beds and pillows good excellent central location.
Great experience at Hotel Dorica
Our experience at the Hotel Dorica was terrific. Our room was terrific, the location awesome, and the staff was so very helpful.
Excellent location, very welcoming staff. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again
Great location perfect nice hotel Manager was great love it
Marco is fantastic and provided a great deal of assistance and recommendations while we were there. I would totally rebook on another trip to Rome.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. Family owned and operated.
Beautiful hotel and the staff could not be kinder! Marco and Rebekah made the stay lovely!
Perfect location
Charming hotel in a fantastic location. Immaculately clean with lovely, personal service. It is very basic accommodation but perfectly aligned to the price and star rating. Would definitely stay again.
Really enjoyed here and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful (huge thank you to Rebecca). The rooms were good size for the two of us. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Location is pretty good with about a 18 minute walk to the colosseum. I ended up staying here twice on my trip to Italy for the start and one night at the end of my trip. Would stay here again.
Lovely, helpful staff, great location, we had a brilliant time in Rome
Thank you To Marco who greeted us snd helped us make a dinner reservation.
Ok location great host.
Our host was really kind and friendly. The room was in a great location for us (close to train station and about central to all key attractions) but it might not suit everyone (was on 1st floor of a mildly busy road). The only minor problem we had was hot water. It took an age (literally) to come through in the shower but once we realised it was ok. Shame about all the water that had to be pulled through and wasted….
A comfortable stay
We really enjoyed our stay. The room was large and the bed more comfortable than other room we stayed in Italy. The desk clerks were very helpful. They provided restaurant recommendations and were helpful getting us taxis.
Room was lovely, staff were very friendly and helpful but the wifi was terrible
Very simple room, good location many restaurant very close from the Main Street
Marco at the reception desk and his young female colleague were both superb and very helpful.
Great staff
Very helpful staff
Great place!
It didn’t look exactly like the photos but it was still very nice and the host is amazing. He is so helpful and will help you with anything you need. The location is safe and very close to trevi fountain and all of the main attractions so you can go everywhere at night and feel safe. The gelato shop beside it has the best gelato in rome so I highly recommend getting some authentic gelato. Overall great stay, I would return here for sure!
Amazing hotel. They treat you like family.
Just a great overall stay!
Great experience overall. The check in was absolutely top notch, the man at the desk was so welcoming, friendly and helpful it made us feel very welcomed. He also provided great recommendations and info. Location was amazing, directly in front of police station so felt super safe and in walking to almost all major points of interest and the central train station. Room was comfortable and cool, had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.
Hotel Dorica is conveniently located to Termini station and many of the attractions in Rome. Surrounding it are lots of stores, restaurants and gelato places… literally could not ask for more. In terms of room supplies like conditioner or soap…it’s bare minimum but if you need anything else besides shampoo there are several mini marts downstairs to buy. The personnel are very welcoming, Rebecca and Marcos are lovely. I had a pleasant stay so much so that I booked my end of the trip in Rome back here for one night.
Thank you to Marco and his team for taking care of me and partner. Wishing you the best. Alla prossima, my friend.
Hotel Dorica is a convenient place to stay in Rome. Close to Termini station, tons of restaurants and attractions all nearby. We walked to a lot of places or took the bus. The personnel were very friendly and helpful. The rooms and the style are definitely not modern but are in good condition. The room is small but for our touristy purposes we didn’t spend much time in the room.
Staff was great ,room was comfortable and location was good. It was not far from train station, restaurants and bars for coffee and breakfast.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Convenient and safe location.
A truly special hotel!
The hotel was lovely, the service was exceptional, and we would happily come back again next time we’re in Rome! Marco mainly dealt with us and he was amazing! He provided advice, was incredibly helpful, and made the hotel stay as exceptional as it was.
The hotel is in a good location, walkable to famous church, restaurants, and shops. We have 4 people and thought we would have a suite for $370 one night, but just a small room with three beds, the room has no coffee maker and teapot, the worst of all, it has no internet connection inside the room.
Safe, clean, and great value for price in Italy! The manager and staff were extremely friendly and accommodating for our needs. The only thing that could be improved is the wifi signal, as ours was practically unusable. But that may have just been in our certain room. Regardless we didn't need it that much as we were out exploring Rome most every day. Would definitely stay at Hotel Dorica again! Thank you!
We had a great stay at Hotel Dorica! The staff was very friendly and took care of us while we were there. Clean, safe, quiet area. Within walking distance to all attractions and 5 mins from the train. Car service to/from airport was excellent and affordable! Highly recommend.
Nice clean hotel. Good location. Friendly staff
We loved the staff and location of Hotel Dorica. It was really easy to come into the city from the airport and walk to the hotel. It was an easy walk to Trevi and the Colosseum. We would happily stay here again.
Convenient location
Hotel is a 10 minute walk from Termini Station. One can take the subway or walk to several tourist sites. Updated room provided a comfortable stay. Only negative was the very weak Wi-Fi and our tv didn’t work. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Great place to stay and affordable!
The hotel was in a great area, and the concierge was friendly. But the room felt unclean, the towels were dirty, the A/C didn’t really work, and the room felt uncomfortable overall. I wouldn’t rate this a 3-star hotel, it felt lesser than.
Excellent staff, good location. Wifi was a bit weak, and heating/cooling was automatic.
Small but clean!
Not the fanciest hotel but great location. Rooms are on the small side, but the bathroom was big. Service was great, the front desk was very helpful. Breakfast was basically pastries but the cappuccinos were a nice touch!! We were only there for one night so it was convenient for our needs, we would definitely stay again. Close to the train (not walking distance with luggage) but a quick taxi ride.
Staff were friendly.Close to see tourist sights. Near restaurants and rsilway station.
Very good location. Staff was helpful and kind. Reasonably priced and very clean.
A very friendly staff. Very clean although somewhat small room. Close to the #64 bus which is very convenient for getting around. Close to the Metra. Several very nice restaurants just down the street. It's not fancy but the price is right and you won't be disappointed.
Perfect place to stay!
Perfect location, friendly staff
Average
Nothing particularly good or bad points. You can see the queue of St.Peter at the breakfast location in this hotel.
The staff was fantastic!!! Mario took such great care of us, making sure we had everything we needed. He spoke several languages and gave us much information about Rome! The hotel is in a great location, close to everything, and has a great view! Can't wait to come back!!
I won't be back.
No air conditioning, breakfast was very limited. At least the ceiling fan worked. Staff were unhelpful.
Friendly, comfortable and very handy for the Opera
Family run, friendly hotel. Just opposite the Ministry of the Interior, so a very safe area. Very comfortable although no bar and air con not great but we didn't really need either. Surrounded by cafes and supermarkets and restaurants. Five minutes' walk to the opera house.
Excellent location, clean, quiet, functional, oractical
great location; close to all the attractions. The staff is really friendly and take good care of you.
Decent hotel in between Termini Station & the main tourist areas
Great location, easy walk from the train, near restaurants
Very nice stay. Convenient location, very friendly hotel staff, decent choices fro breakfast, the location is very convenient - 7 min walk from Termini station which provides easy access to metro, trains between major cities, and Fiumincino airport.
Friendly people and ideal location
Super friendly staff in this family run hotel make you feel totally at home. Great central location - so if you are coming to Rome to visit the sites - perfect. This hotel is a 3 Star hotel - so don’t expect luxury, but do enjoy feeling welcome!
Great location and employees
Nice hotel in a great location! The hotel staff was very personable and helpful. Our room was at the front of the hotel and the street noise made it very difficult to get to sleep. Additional sound proofing would help significantly.
OK, downgraded for the first night :(
It was good place mostly , but first night we were downgraded to a small room due to an electrical fault. We had to later change rooms. We got a lot of polite apologies, but no reduction in price or refund.
Super Mario!
We spent a lovely 4 nights at this hotel. The location is wonderful - just about walkable from Termini station (incidentally where there are good, secure parking garages if you are driving, like we were), and within very easy walking distance to all the major sights in Rome (we never even took any public transport while we were there!). The room was comfortable, with air con, a ceiling fan and big windows overlooking the Ministry of the Interior. An especial thank you to Mario, who not one, but twice went above and beyond to help us with printing various documents and just a generally nice, helpful chap. I'd definitely recommend the hotel for anyone wanting to explore all of Rome's magnificence!
Close walk to most things
Room was much smaller than I had anticipated from everything I had seen on the web sight but it was manageable. We were exploring the wonders of Rome and only in the room to sleep so it wasn't really an issue.... just surprising. Hotel Staff was great and the free breakfast was just enough to start our day off right. There was a small store near by so we could bring cold drinks and stuff back to the room.
Breakfast was delicious and service was great. Only wished the room was a little larger
Decant but Unremarkable
The hotel is decent though not in the best place in the town. Staff is very friendly and helpful, a real plus. The continental breakfast is okay. Staff makes wonderful specialty coffees.
Loved our stay at Hotel Dorica, great location for sight seeing & Florian at the front desk couldn't have been more accommodating. Would highly recommend staying here!!
A friendly place to stay.
Stayed 12th May then again 17 and 18 May. Recommend this family hotel it's good value for money.
Nice hotel close to all major attractions
Hotel is very clean and comfortable. It is an excellent starting point to all of the city's attractions. It is close to the train station and the metro system. I would recommend this hotel and i will return there for their perfect location and good customer service. Close to all in Rome.
Gives us just what we need.
We come every 2 years for a long weekend to take in a 6 Nations game. This hotel is conveniently situated a short walk from the station so getting to and from the airport is easy. This is a no frills hotel with friendly, helpful staff. We look forward to returning in 2016.
Central location. Clean. Good continental breaky.
Efficient check in. Nice staff. Tasty croissants.
Hotel staff was lovely and the location excellent! The breakfast was basic but not bad. However the mattresses were really uncomfortable and we really missed having a kettle in the room. Also, the internet didn't work at all really. For roman standards its not bad for the price though.
Very nice and close to the center
Very nice and close to the center.great value.
Had a good stay but will try something else!
Overall, our stay was good and comfortable. Hotel location is good. Close to 2 metro stations (closer to Republica than Termini station) and has bus stops close by. Hotel staff is very nice and helpful. There is a small elevator which was very helpful for taking the luggage to the second floor. There is a small safe in the room that you can use to keep your valuables. If you have a lot of luggage, you may want to take a taxi - walking may be difficult as it is pretty crowded and there are cobble streets so pulling luggage is not easy. It is a good walk from Termini Station to the hotel. Rooms are small with barely any place to move around. There is no tea / coffee maker in the room - it is available only in breakfast room during breakfast time. So if you need tea first thing in the morning, this hotel is not for you. Also, internet was useless. We had to go to the front lobby to use the internet - no signal in the room. If your room is closer to the front desk, you may get some signal. Breakfast was OK - breads and spreads - they are very strict about taking breakfast in the breakfast room itself - they do not let you take anything outside the breakfast room. Not even tea / coffee. Beware of pickpockets - they will try to steal your wallet on the streets even in broad daylight or at metro stations. If you carry a backpack - keep it in front of your body.
An average hotel
Wish they did not have that boy on reception nightshift when we arrived. We waited 30 minutes 11.30pm-12.00am at midnight for hotel to open their doors. Reception is supposed to be 24 hr! Reason(excuse)was: the door entry bell was not working. They were told that we will be arriving late. Not a pleasant or comfortable experience to check-in. Having said that, there were couple of staff members who were very helpful and honest. Also avoid the restaurant (Al Viminale) recommended by the hotel which is near the hotel.
Good location, great staff
This hotel was relatively close to many of Rome's major sites. We were able to walk to most locations (within a couple km) and could easily access the subway for locations that were a bit further. The staff was very helpful in helping ensure we saw all the best sites in Rome. The breakfast was good and room were basic but sufficient.
Good location
The staff were very friendly and nice, the location was good, but the rooms are small and outdated.
Great staff, Internet too slow and first night was pretty bad connectivity
Convenient, comfortable and good value
Staff were friendly and helpful, giving excellent tourist advice. Good value accommodation.
Excellent
Great find.
Very clean hotel. Continental breakfast - predictable but good. Great location. Great staff.

Old and dated but s
Great location. Lovely and helpful staff. Rooms are an old and small. But overall a good place.
