Wonderful, helpful staff. Beautifully renovated. Great walking neighborhood. Highly recommend a stay.
Great property! Excellent location, breakfast was good and loved having it delivered to the room. Very nice experience overall.
Rome’s hotel residence
Clean hotel located in the fourth floor only. The room had character. I stayed in the suite. Breakfast was excellent because fresh eggs, pastries, cheese, yogurt, nuts and more. The hotel was hard to find. I wish it had it had a bigger and better sign with the hotel’s name. I saw that two other hotels were located-in the same buildings but on different floors. It took us 15 minutes Rome train station carrying 6 suitcase seat. We climbed up about 10 stairs to hotel’s elevator.
great hotel
wonderful hotel in a great location. Breakfast was extra nice! They also set up drivers for us which was so helpful!
Wonderful hotel! The staff were helpful and hospitable, the room was clean and inviting and the location was within walking distance of many sites and good restaurants and cafes! Highly recommend!
Such a wonderful stay! Incredible hotel in every way! Location, accommodations, staff! I would absolutely return
Lovely experience
Friendly, professional and helpful staff. Warm welcome on arrival. The room and location were amazing. We enjoyed the breakfast, which was delivered to the room on the exact time that we requested. Overall a really nice stay and we would recommend this hotel.
Loved the mini suite. Good breakfast. Warm bathroom!
We had an amazing time during our stay in Donna Francesca. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The place is well maintained and accessible to most of the places we want to visit. Will recommend for sure.
Great
The hotel was very close to the train station. It was very clean and quiet.
Very clean, near Republic Metro and buses. Will stay here afain
Quite neighborhood but in the middle of the old Roma cenral area, hidden jewel
Beautifully furnished and quiet. The staff was also very accommodating.
The staff were lovely - thanks to Expedia VIP perk, i got moved from a single room to a gorgeous suite! The wifi is strong and the room service breakfast (included) is amazing! Book this place asap
Beautiful room, very spacious and well-appointed. Breakfast was prompt, plentiful, and delicious. Location very close to Roma Termini train station. Easy walk to the big attractions. Staff were pleasant and we very much enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend this hotel.
Great place to stay
Very comfortable and convenient, close to train station, shopping, dinning and all the local site seeing.
Beautiful stay in Rome
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Donna Camilla Savelli. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and the rooms are comfortable. The hotel is beautiful and situated close to many attractions in the coolest neighborhood in Rome.
Great value
Hotel is very close to the main station. And it’s really easy to check in and good value for the price you pay. and they havesome breakfast.
Clean and convenient
A lovely property...clean and comfortable. The is good too. Bfeakfast is awesome.
Staff was very friendly. Great location. Enjoyed the custom breakfast
Overall we had a great experience staying here. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The daily breakfast was amazing and the location is excellent. Thank you for making our visit to Rome incredible!
trip with friends
Stay ws amazing. Self check in was a easy and the corridor treats made it extra special!! Make sure you dont miss them..
Wonderful breakfast and beautiful room, we cant wait to come back!
Fantastic hotel
Hotel was located close to a main street, 10 min walk from train station. The room was average size for a european hotel. The breakfast was fantastic. Smacks and beverages were available all day. Would recommend staying at this hotel.
Excellent stay, Clean, quiet and very nice staff.
Do not stay here if you are expecting any service. Contrary to what is represented on their website, there wasn’t anyone to greet us when we arrived or anyone manning the front desk for as long as we were there. The elevator is tiny; fits one person and a suitcase. The room had a very strong smell they attributed to the “disinfectant“ they sprayed on the furniture.
I will definitely look for this hotel on any return trips. The facility was beautiful and very welcoming. The shower was the best of our trip, the AC worked great and the breakfast service was a nice surprise!
The single room is quite small, but it's fine for a couple of days.
Loved it
This was a great stay in Rome. Close to the train station, close to great restaurants, and close to all the major sites. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and quiet, and the breakfast was excellent. I would definitely stay here again!
This is the best property that we booked for our Italian trip. The room is a great size, having a kitchenette is great. The bathroom is a great size and clean and wonderfully furnished. Our bed was comfortable and our room contained everything we needed. The breakfast selection was perfect and came on time each morning. Located in a lovely quiet location but walking distance to all we wanted to see or easy to get on the bus or termini. The staff we always very helpful from dinner recommendations to getting a bus or simple directions. We loved our stay at Donne Francesca Hotel and would recommend it to anyone.
Very easy check in and was able to accommodate with hotel transportation from airport to hotel. No lobby employee on the weekend if needed any toiletries or had questions which was disappointing. Property was clean and really enjoyed our 2 night stay.
We loved this hotel. The hotel was very clean. Great A/C. Beautiful room with a good amount of space. You are a 10-15 min walk from the Trevi fountain and great night life as well as the Spanish steps. Lots of shopping and great restaurants. The staff was very helpful with tourist questions.
Staff super friendly and excellent service. Let us check in 2 hours prior to check in time. Room very spacious and comfortable beds.
Very easy to get to and well furnished, cool, and clean.
This is a lovely boutique hotel very near Roma Termini. Gorgeous historic building with lots of charms and the room we stayed in was very comfortable and well-equipped. It was a little hard to find within a building of other apartments and hotels, but we got there and were not disappointed! Note: it’s on the 4th floor that is really like 8 flights with the tall levels. A tiny elevator is available in the corner of the first floor - but steps are still required to get there!
Every thing was great.
Great small hotel in a central location
Great room for a family of four in a central location for all places to visit. Well maintained and clean. The check in was efficient and the personnel very friendly. The only small drawback are the size of the elevator and the breakfast which is quite basic. If you like walking up stairs for exercise like I do then the small elevator might be a plus.
We had an absolute amazing time. Hotel Donna Francesca was perfect. Clean, convenient, and so helpful. Breakfast was great and all of the staff were so helpful. I look forward to visiting again and would recommend this establishment to everyone if visiting Rome. Thank you again!!!!
Hotel meet our needs as we were only there for one night. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Our room was very clean and had all that we needed. .
The hotel itself was on the 4th floor only, there was no dining room or reception. Breakfast was delivered to the room but not before 8am, if all guest ask for 8am you get yours in turn. We had to leave early the 1st day and missed breakfast which is not ideal when you have paid for it. I would not use this hotel again
Robert
Conveniently located, comfortable and personable service. I will come back.
We did not receive our bottle of wine and after asking about it we were dismissed. We asked again and were again dismissed. Front desk attendant was very rude and abrupt upon checkout
Beautiful room, comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious and delivered to our room. We would highly recommend this lovely hotel. Rick and Brenda (Calgary, Canada)
An oasis in Rome
"This intimate Rome hotel surpassed all expectations. With cozy rooms, impeccable service, and delightful breakfasts, it's the ultimate tranquil retreat in the heart of the city!"
Pretty property. Really small for four people but it worked. Property management was very accommodating and allowed us to check in early. Breakfast was amazing and delivered to our room. The most expensive — & smallest — place we stayed in Italy but it was nice.
Staff were helpful. Hotel was always clean. Great location for those who would like to walk and explore the city. It’s also close to a metro station
Excellent boutique hotel well decorated modern bathroom very clean everywhere. Close to transport links 5 mins walk to Metro station 15 min walk to Trevi fountain and Spanish Steps 10 min walk to Teatro Opera many good restaurants in this area Hotel is understaffed with reception staff also making breakfast
Francesca was wonderful to my daughter staying in Rome by herself for the first time. She loved the hotel, hospitality, breakfast and snacks. Such a cute boutique hotel. Would definitely recommend.
Nice place in a good location for a reasonable price.
The staff were super friendly and accommodating, breakfast was plentiful, the location is very accessible to great shops and restaurants.
A quaint yet comfortable sweet abode in the middle of Rome with many highlights in a walkable distance. The night coffee and treats were most welcome after the fuss and distance of our flight. Very clean, safe and updated and the breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend.
It was great staying in this hotel It is very close to where we wanted to go. It is safe to walk around too, even at night. The cleanliness of this hotel is what i liked also. I will definitely recommend.
The owner is very rude, the type of guy who wants to argue with anything a woman says even if they are in agreement. He argued with me about the door code pad not working, told me a package of bread was gluten free when it was not- it had the ingredients written on the package. I had “VIP” status stay but received no perks at all. In the morning i asked a worker why they didnt give me the bottle of wine that is included with the VIP package and she said she didnt know but gave me a tiny bottle of wine. The cups for coffee in the room were dirty Its inside another hotel so it was very hard to find and when i called to try to find it they said to text them instead. I told them i didnt have phone data for that and could they just tell me how to get there. They said they would text me the door codes again i asked if they could just tell me, since i was at the door and they said no, thankfully someone came out of the door and i was able to get in, they would not give me the door codes until i was inside the door, up to the fourth floor and through the second floor door which also requires a code and when i rang the bell they yelled at me to enter the code through the intercom, but would not give me the code. Also the code pad doesnt work half the time
Despite the thin walls and being able to hear others conversations outside the room from time to time, it was an enjoyable stay.
The Staff was very friendly, took care of all of our needs, Front Desk scheduled our pickup from the cruise port to hotel, Well worth the money spent, being a party of 4 with lots of luggage. Even asked to scheduled a ride to airport on last morning, took about 5 minutes and they had the task completed. A Plus Service. Will stay again when we return to Rome. Very Walkable area, never felt unsafe, not far from shopping/food and a few main attractions about 15/20 minute walk from hotel.
Once we figured out the hotel was in a large building with other hotels everything was fine. It was nice, quiet, quaint, and pretty centrally located. 15-20 min walk to most all of the sites you’d want to see while in Rome
Clean, secure. Friendly staff. My room was quite poorly sound proof though on the side of the corridor. But was pretty quiet overall still.
The hotel was clean and ready for us. The staff was very helpful.
Lovely hotel
The hotel was fantastic. Clean and great staff and good breakfast selection. The only downside was the taxi service they offered which was €60, and we found out the maximum you should pay is €31
Rome
The hotel was exactly as described. The breakfast was wonderful and punctual. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Walking distance to most sites and close to restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.
Hotel Donna Francesca is one of those hotels in a reclusive spot in the city with walkable distances to most major tourist attractions. Only 10-15 min walk from Roma Termini. Located at the 4th floor of the building, it only has 9 rooms in the property slot owned by the family and mainly two employees, plus Francesca herself, taking care of the business. If you don't like any crowded areas, this hotel is well maintained, super quiet, clean and stylish, plus la bella colazione delivered to your room with the dinning cart. I will definitely keep it in my personal record and try to book it again when returning to Rome in future.
Small hotel boutique only 9 rooms. Very clean, hotel staff is very friendly. Even the water pressure in the shower was excellent. Breakfast is excellent, you choose your breakfast the night before and hang it on your door. Staff will deliver to your room. Very convenient to walking and transportation. Most popular places are 20 mins walking. I would definitely recommend this cute little hotel and i would stay here again.
Ok
It was amazing and convenient. Breakfast was super cool.
The room is clean with new upgrades and full amenities. Breakfast made to order and in room service. Staff very friendly and amenable to client needs. Will recommend this cozy hotel, yet walking distance to everything to anyone who wants to experience Rome.
Good moderate-priced hotel without fancy amenities
Hotel was on 4th floor of a classic Roman building and had clean, well-equipped rooms, excellent breakfast served in-room because there is no dining room. No first-floor entrance so entering hotel and rooms depended on use of key-pad. No front-desk service or concierge, although owner was at the desk a few hours a day.
Good price, clean, but would not recomme
lift not working - no help with luggage up 5 flights of stairs peeling floor covering- constant tripping hazard bed was not a queen taxi we paid them extra for never showed - had to drag our luggage to a main street and were lucky to make flights scents are choking
My room had a defective floor. Even though I told the attendant and I also sent an email to Expedia nothing was done to remedy the situation. I also had to ask during the second day for our bottle of wine which was not offered to us. We were given two half bottles of prosecco which was undrinkable.
Nice Hotel
Wonderful staff Comfortable Hotel Lots of stairs since it is on the 4th floor If you fo not want to climb stairs try some other hotel
Cool little Boutique Hotel ..The rooms are very clean …It only occupies the fourth floor of the building so it maybe has 8 rooms ..the staff is excellent ..They deliver your breakfast to your room and will set up any travel needs you may have ..
I liked that the hotel was near Termini and it didn't take long to walk there from the airport train. It was also near the metro and multiple bus routes. I was disappointed that the streaming services on the TV only worked on one evening during my stay. Also it was quite noisy in the mornings so this wouldn't be somewhere to get a lie-in.
Overview
A very clean small hotel with only 9 rooms. Some of the rooms are larger than others and are more comfortable (room#1 vs #6). Note that reception is not always on premises.
I really enjoyed my stay in this boutique hotel. The on site staff were kind and informative. It is walkable to main Rome train station. My only complaints are that the self check in (if you arrive after reception hours) was tricky. The street keypad code worked fine. The keypad to actually enter the hotel gave me some trouble. Also, I stayed in a single room and there was not a closet or place to hang clothes. Otherwise, a very unique and lovely hotel!
Great little hotel! The room was big with seating and a kitchenette. It was a nice sanctuary in the busy city of Rome. Strong security. A little hard to find as you have to go in off the street and then up to the 4th floor. That is not unusual in Rome.
Hotel is on the 4th floor of a building but check in was easy and the elevator was fast. Very friendly staff and breakfast had excellent choice. Location is very walkable to coliseum and Trevi fountain and Spanish steps. Would stay again.
It was an intimate place with such a nice and helpful staff.
This hotel is a charming set of rooms with a gorgeous marbled hallway in a villa of old. Spacious room with tasteful furnishings. Book early! Note that the sign outside hotel is small. The owners are personable and helpful.
Small but nice
The boutique hotel was nice. It was much smaller than what I’m used to but it serves its purpose. I liked the available snacks and the breakfast served to your door in the morning. The small elevator was challenging. Not sure what would happen if someone gets stuck on that VERY small elevator. I get nervous just thinking about it. Francesca was not always at the front desk but was an available through WhatsApp. I felt very safe during my stay because of the BIG wizard door ( from the wizard of ozs 😊).
We had room 403, very large room with eating area and small kitchen A bit tricky to figure out where the hotel is, it’s shared with 4 other hotels, not your typical hotel layout with a front desk, but it was fine
Great stay, but don't take the taxi to the airport
The hotel is great - I was lucky enough to be upgraded into a gorgeous room. On a hot day in Rome, the air conditioning was lovely, and it was very quiet at night. I was leaving early for the airport, too early for breakfast - but the staff gave me biscuits and cereal the night before (the only non-perishables) so I had something to eat before departing. Very kind. The man working at reception was extremely nice, professional and accommodating. Just two quick notes/cautions: The hotel is essentially a 5th floor walk up (on floor 4, but the first floor is "0"). There is a small elevator, but it could be a challenging stay for anyone who is disabled. Many hotels in Rome similarly require climbing stairs, so just an fyi. Also, I would advise against getting a car hire to the airport through the hotel. Let me be clear - the hotel was wonderful in organizing it, but the taxi ride itself was incredibly unsafe. At times the driver was going over 100 miles per hour (165 kph), even on streets where the posted speed limit was less than half of that. He also said he only took cash, though he eventually relented when I said I had confirmed with the hotel he took credit cards and that was all I had.
great location with security for in and out access.
Great place to stay in central Rome! Very good unit, friendly staff!
Clean, Comfortable, Quiet, Friendly Staff
Wonderful place to stay on Roma that is very quiet yet close to so many sites. Hotel Donna Francesca offers complimentary breakfast brought to your room which has a small refrigerator and kitchenette. Beds were comfortable and it was a nice serene place to relax after a busy day in the bustling Roma. The front desk also arranged transportation for us which was much appreciated.
No service!
Very small and hard to find. It seemed to be on the 4th floor of a larger building and you walked steps to get up. Small elevator available for 2 people or less. Front desk not staffed at night. We had an issue with our shower and couldn’t reach anyone. It was as if we were on our own. Definitely will not stay here again.
Clean and nice room. Personnel was just when they had a check in room, if not there was no one. They gave you password to open outside gate, floor door. Mornings there was 1 person to prepare breakfasts but during day and night no one at front desk nor property
The hotel was beautiful. Rooms were so comfortable and very big. The staff was very friendly. Roll in cart for breakfast. Would definitely recommend this hotel
We booked two rooms for twin bed but it is totally different as pictures and description on Expedia app . The hotel told us it is Expedia made all pictures. I really do not think it is true. Also they said include breakfast but only a few cokes for four peoples in room.
Delicious croissants and cappuccino for breakfast . Clean room ~ August 2023
We loved staying here and we’re disappointed that we couldn’t stay again at the end of our visit! The staff was amazing and so helpful. Our room was perfect for the 4 of us (mom, dad and 2 daughters). The breakfast was delicious and we are still talking about the croissants! We will definitely book again if we ever go back to Rome.
Importance to safety of the guest. Room service breakfast with pre ordered items in order to avoid waste
Gorgeous little independent hotel
I adore this hotel! It was very clean and each room has a unique and distinct personality. The artwork was lovely and the breakfast superb, so delicious. I stayed three nights in total, including my last night in Rome. Francesca was helpful with self check instructions. Central location. Stay here!
Great little Boutique Hotel convenient to the train station. The Hotel was very clean, comfortable king size bed and great breakfast delivered to our room in the morning as part of the booking. They had cookie and other sweets in the hallway for anyone to enjoy during their stay. We really enjoyed this hotel for the 1 night we were in Rome.
The one step into the bathroom is a hazard, stumbled many times.
It was beautiful, clean, quiet and spacious. Great value for money!
This hotel had a friendly staff with complimentary snacks and tea on shelves in the hallway. Coffee and tea were in the room. You choose items for a free continental breakfast that is delivered to your room. The croissants were superb! The hotel is conveniently located near many major attractions and the Metro. The room was clean and a bit small but not unexpected for an older building. The plumbing/air/ and such worked just fine. This was not a game-changer, but the hotel is located on the 4th floor. Other hotels are on other floors. A tiny elevator is available, but be prepared to hike up some stairs. There is not a lobby, only a small reception area with 9 rooms or so.
We just stayed here for nine days and had a great experience. They provide breakfast daily from 8-10. All you have to do is fill out the form and place it on your door. Great fresh food!! Very clean and quiet hotel. Walkable to the train station which made it easy to explore other cities in Italy.

Wonderful stay
Beautiful hotel in the perfect location. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and attentive. This is one the best stays I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing. Highly recommend. Thanks for a great stay!
