To be honest, to be a 3 star hotel it is not very clean and there is a clear lack of communication between the members of the staff. I wouldn't repeat.
First night had room 423- very small, not updated and noisy as right next to the lift. The staff kindly moved me the next day and were very helpful. It’s a great place to stay, close to the centre, buses and metro. Very friendly staff working in all aspects of the hotel. I would book again… but not if room 423!
No parking on facilities but there is a parking garage nearby that the hotel has arrangement with. You can pay at the hotel at slightly cheaper rate than at the garage. Hotel is fine and clean. Breakfast was good.
Friendly staff, comfortable bed, decent breakfast. Good value budget hotel in good location close to the centre.
Hotel location was not very clear on google map and hrnce we ended up going through no entry for the first time after circling twice.
The property wasn't what I expected, nothing like the pictures on the web. The bed was too small. The guys of the front desk were very kind and tried to help.
Service.
Overall the hotel was very good, well priced and very convenient for the Metro (for connection to the bus station and airport bus). The information about the hotel did suggest there was a restaurant but this was only open on 31/12/22 (for a special and expensive new year's eve dinner) and a bar which was only open on the same evening.
Muy bueno todo
Very good
Great hotel
Hotel Don Juan's location was fantastic. You can really walk everywhere from there. Lots of restaurants are around corner. Our breakfast was great as well. The only issue we had was the mattresses being so firm. Otherwise, it's a great hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks!
Second stay in short time, this one disappointing
My second stay in less than 2 weeks following a previous satisfactory stay - this time disappointing and overpriced. On arrival, I was given a room together with a key from a room safe (which I asked for following prior experience). Only, when I got to the room, there was no safe - or mini-fridge. I asked, and was given, another room - but again no mini-fridge and the room safe there, but not functional.. Clearly, not all rooms are equally equipped and some certainly don't meet 3-star standard. Having paid an inflated price due to year-end period, this experience was disappointing and not a good value for the money spent.
Solid hotel in reasonable location
Reasonably located, less than 10min walk to the centre of the city, tram stop (to get to the bus station) and the train station both short walk away. Not the newest or modern but the room and bathroom were ok, there was a mini-fridge and a room safe, and the room was fairly quiet (facing the back) so all in all, no major complaints.
Was excellent for anything, and great breakfast!
What great value...great room and fantastic breakfast included
Awesome! Loved the breakfast! Great room, including the beds, bathroom and storage spaces. Super friendly and helpful staff, too. Would definitely return here once I am back in Granada!
It was very surprising, when we back at the room in our second night and there was only one towel. However everthing else was very good.

ac does not work well. hot and hotel said nothing they can do about it. sucked.
Review
Value for money hotel, cons, a couple of minor points, soundproofing not great, bath small, think this was just my room, due to shape and location in the building. pros, clean tidy, friendly and good value for the money.
Good value, very good buffet, problematic parking
Very good hotel with buffet breakfast and (optional) buffet dinner. Nightlife around the corner (for good or for bad) Pretty hard to find parking around

It was hard to find but once we arrived . It was easy to move arround the sites were close!
Hotel in a student area that's close to Alhambra
We arrived near midnight to find a very helpful staff who checked us in. We were pleased to find restaurants were still opened and offered and array of Halal options. Prices were very reasonable as I was told it was a student area and the university is near by. The next day we took a 10 min taxi ride to Alhambra..FYI buy your tickets way in advance if your able to - or you will have to get there around 8am and wait in line to see if you get any tickets for that day. We were able to get tickets for the evening palace tour and it was gorgeous. It looks spectacular in the moonlight. We headed to a piazza and had gelato. The streets near the hotel are very safe, were walked them past midnight and felt very safe.
The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was very good. The accommodations could use an update. In addition to being dated, the furniture is squeezed into the room, making it hard to navigate. You literally walk into the bed. In our case, we were a family of four! Definitely too many for the size of the room.
People leaving the bar late at night are very loud and disturb sleep in rooms facing the street.
Good food but plain service
No heating at all in OCTOBER, but it is somewhat cold at night and dawnThey did not give me a parking voucher which will give me 3 euro discount because I did not ask the hotel.
First trip to granada
Hotel slightly out main town, chosen as idea for parking. Granada central just few minutes from hotel, perfect. Visited, Granada cathedral, and surrounding areas. Wonderful. Everyone brilliant. Look out for wonderful tapas bars, beer and free tapas, or bars offering set Menu for 8-10 euro. Lovely food and atmosphere. Stayed for one night. Went to the sacro-monte building and area. Stunning views. Will definitely visit Granada again to visit lots of other attractions and the Alambra place.. Hotel, last minute booking, perfect. Staff very friendly and helpful. Thank you for lovely stay
Very attentive Staff
We only stayed for a night but we'd highly recommend this hotel. It's nice and central and has a very efficient feel to it. We were especially impressed by the restaurant employees. Our daughter is celiac and we are always slightly concerned about a hotel's ability to cater for her needs. We had no such fears here. One lady in particular, Marisol, was amazing and knew exactly which dishes and foods were gluten free. Out of 5 main dishes in the buffet, 2 were completely gluten free which was impressive. They also fried up chips especially and would have prepared any other food too if those 2 dishes hadn't been to our daughter's liking. There is no parking at the hotel but plenty of car parks and parking meters around. One trick is to buy a ticket less than 2 hours before 8pm, and you get free parking all night until 9am when the meters start charging again.
Great location at a great price
We loved where it was, just a ten minute walk to the cathedral and we were able to park in the street in front of the hotel. The reception was very helpful and although not a luxury hotel it was clean and great for the price. We would stay there again!!
OK for me
The Hotel was ideal for me due to its location. It was perfectly suited to what I required as I only really slept their.
convienent to centre and quiet
Very friendly hotel and well situated within walking distance of city centre Family room to accomadate 5 people..Room very clean, comfortable beds and well equiped. Fabulous cafe opposite hotel serving lovely breakfast with excellent staff.
value
Excellent value for money and in a very handy location to Granada centre.
Hotel Don Juan in March 2013
If you don't mind the 10-12 minute walk to the city center, this is a good hotel to stay at. The staff was generally helpful and responsive, and the facilities were well maintained.
Great location no frills
Good location, hotels need improvement in rooms, we had 3 bulbs off, cigarette burns in bed clothes, generally old looking, door off hinges, leaking shower with slippery bath.
Good Hotel For the Price
Good For the Price, Wifi was a bit slow, but great service for the the rate I Payed
Good: close and covenient
Close to the city centre, this hotel is OK if you will spend the time outside visiting Granada. The 2 cafeterias in front of the hotel offer good/quality food. Staff were friendly.
Hazard Stay
The hotel had the hazard chinese drywall/wallpaper that many children died from in the past in the hotel room. I was afraid that my son would be sick from this and kept him away from that part of the room near the bathroom. As far as maintenance the outside of my widow all night I heard pigeons as if a nest were made right above my window. All of the other hotels were better overall than this one. I should have stayed just one night if I knew about the conditions of this hotel.
Location, location!
Great location, within walking distance if you're arriving by train, and a direct bus to/from the bus station. We were able to leave our luggage in the morning since the room wasn't ready, and the man behind the desk was very helpful in providing maps & tips. There was a very visible elderly presence in the hotel, but it was a great respite from the local university scene. Neighborhood foods/drinks were economical, and I can't say enough about the beauty of the city itself. If you're on a budget and not wanting to go the hostel route, stay here.
Very nice stay
We spent two nights here in June 2011, and found the hotel to be very comfortable. We didn't use the restaurant be cause there are many excellent cafés nearby. The hotel is well situated for the cathedral from where you can get a €1.20 bus ride to the Alhambra. The only criticism? We would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
1 Night in Granada
We only stayed 1 night but were very pleased. We had an early flight into Granada from Barcelona and arrived at the Hotel before 10:00 AM. Check-in was listed as 3:00 PM. Much to our surprise the room was ready and available and it took all of 5 min to get registered and into our room. There were 3 of us sharing and the room was huge by European standards; 4 single beds so plenty of room with a good sized bath. The AC didn't work but it was early June so no problem with the windows open. That being said the room faced an interior courtyard of residences so a little noise in the morning; nothing that ruined our stay. Breakfast was good for 7 Euro and there are good restaurants in the immediate area; had a nice lunch sitting outside right across the street. A ways from the Alhambra but we were planning on taking a taxi anyway so the inexpensive cost of the room off-set the cost of the taxi. We would stay there again.
Good value
Stayed at 3-bed room for 2 nights. Location is good, 10 min walking distance from Cathedral and Bib-Rambla. The room was reasonable big and clean. Downsides: I wish they had some special facilities for kids + dinner was strange - the dining hall was almost empty and you have to order from the cook without having an idea of what the food is going to be like.
Sound and Smell
There was a strong smell of dog food in the lobby. I found this to be quite repelling. Also, I don´t know if there was a field trip going on or something, but around 2pm (our siesta time) there was a straight 30 minutes of kids yelling, running down stairs, talking loudly in the hall ways. It was extremely noisy and unprofessional.
Reasonably priced 10 minutes from the centre of Granada
Great breakfast and not to far from the centre of town and triple rooms meant really good budget option.
Estancia de una noche.
Amabilidad del personal muy buena. Desayuno bueno.
Good for one night
I like every thing in general but there is too much noise early near the rooms.
Repetía, me gusta mucho
