Just okay. There was no complementary water. That threw me off.
Good value for the breakfast. Only 15 minutes walk to Mico convention centre
Good restaurants nearby, front of house team are welcoming and helpful. Our second stay here.
The property is located in a safe neighborhood which is what I liked. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. This property list that they have laundry on site but they do not. Please have the property update this information. This was one of the reasons we chose this property. This was an inconvenience at the time of our travel to go out and find a laundry facility.
The air conditioner was leaking through the ceiling very badly. It actually caused a puddle in my suitcase and my clothes were wet. The staff placed towels on a shelf to absorb the water leaking, and that was it. The blamed it on rain even though it never rained. All they offered was a free breakfast for the flood in my suitcase.
Molto bene grazie
It’s in a great location breakfast was pretty good would definitely come back molto grazie
Too far, over priced
Need upgrade
Rooms were dated and yellow marks everywhere in the bathroom. No tea or coffee making facilities. No kettle or iron in the room. Front staff needs to brush up on customers service skills. Came across rude and indifferent towards guests. Slept well and with decent air con but rest unfortunately we will not be coming back.
Returning customer, hotel is clean, decor is a bit dated in areas however it gives the traditional Italian vibe, the staff are very polite & friendly, close to the Mico and City Life.
The room was comfortable. Good size bathroom. All the amenities for a business style hotel. Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in room. Staff helpful when asked for anything. Generally happy with my stay.
We were in Milano for a football match. This hotel was wonderfully located, half hour walk from San Siro and a 10 minute walk to City Life, shopping mall. The area is gorgeous with tree-lined streets and the breakfast provided was delicious. The hotel also has a parking garage so there is no need to stress about finding parking along the street. Would highly recommend this hotel.
.
The room was small but it got the job done. We felt comfortable in the area and enjoyed the breakfast and the great staff!
The room was simple, clean and comfortable. The washroom seems to be newly renovated. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Great location, quiet and close to public transportation. I would stay again.
5 STARS
Very convenient location close to the M1 metro line and a 15 minute walk to the Mico conference center. Single room was small but clean and comfortable. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Decent breakfast. Would use again if returning for another conference.
Amazing location, great service
Amazing location, really couldn’t ask for better (especially given the price). It was an excellent base for visiting the city and I had no trouble navigating given how close it is to the Metro. The bed/pillow weren’t the most comfortable and I’d recommend ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper, but the service was fantastic and I’d definitely recommend the hotel.
Great service, great people.
We were a group of 5, and the 2 bedroom suite was spacious and clean. The bathroom is pretty big. FYI, if you are going to eat breakfast at the hotel, it is $10 euros per person, and i suggest you get there as early as possible. We got there around 9:30am, and we didn't have many options to choose from since most of the food was gone. They are very strict with their check in and check out policy. If you get there early (before check in there is a storage room to put your luggage in)
Fans on Tour
Great location for Central Milan and the San Siro. Staff really friendly and helpful. Breakfast alittle basic but for the price excellent.
Good for a short break
The location was great, easily accessible near the metro which is a short distance to all the the cities attractions. The service was good, staff were friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were a decent size, however the bed was, double, a bit too firm and only one pillow. Also it was rather noisy in thee mornings as my room was above the resturant. Overall it was good
The staff was very friendly. I spoke very little Italian and they helped me with what I needed to know. The breakfast each morning was worth it if just for the espresso machine alone. The beds were comfortable and clean and I felt very safe as a female traveling alone.
Really nice hotel, really good located, breakfast delicious (the lady at the breakfast service SUPER NICE), front desk night staff kind of angry all the time.
The hotel was very clean with large comfortable beds, situated in very close proximity to top tourist attractions in a safe area. Staff were polite, friendly and very helpful. What more can you ask for on a short city break?
Be careful, this hotel does not live up to the description online. We checked in to a family room (queen in one room with attached room with twins) to find that there was a giant leak coming through the ceiling and the room was infested with ants. When my husband went to ask for a different room he was met with uncooperative staff and a general manager who didn't care. There solution was to mop up the water and spray for ants. But that doesn't stop the leak, or prevent the ceiling from caving in if the soggy ceiling tiles give way! And we really didn't want to sleep in a recently fumigated room! Only when we put our foot down were we moved to separate rooms, which then meant our family wasn't all together. Those rooms were just ok. Basically just good enough to get some sleep and be on our way the next day.
2 thumbs up
Good Hotel. 2 blocks from the red line. On-site parking for 20 euros. The breakfast was excellent.
Nice but the front desk staff
Nice, however the front desk staff weren't exactly very friendly. With 1 exception. They sounded like they didn't want to be there. It is a pity as the hotel is nice and it isn't cheap.
Vacation
Excellent
Good room, but..
The room is pretty good - size wise, clean, modern, good shower. But.... Service is unfriendly, no iron in room - and not possible to have one, breakfast was poor, wifi requires a social login that says they have the right to sent out tweets on your behalf. No way!
Sufficient to pass one night
Very minimalist but somewhat adequate.
2/3 minute walk from metro, Short walk to stadium, short walj to area full of great restaurants. Hotel was clean, staff polite and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Happily stay again.
We loved our stay at the Domenichino. It's a simple, reasonably priced hotel, but the staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and wonderfully practical, and our room looked out over the gardens, meaning all you can hear is birdsong. It's in an excellent location for getting into the centre (an easy 20-30 minute walk through the back of the Parco Sempione or a few stops on the Metro) and there is a fabulous restaurant (Pepe & Sale) nearby. Perfect. We'll definitely be coming back.
It was clean the breakfast was very goed staff was very friendly hotel is near a very nice Shoppingcenter
Excellent location in quiet neighborhood. Very clean.
Don't take room 222
There was a water tank in the wall or ceiling that released a shot of water into its tank under pressure about every 5 or 10 seconds. Terrible nights sleep as it went all night.
Immaculate hotel very close to MiCo conference centre. Easy to reach by metro. Supermarket around the corner and restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Helpful staff who spoke excellent English. Decor in rooms a little dated but brilliant black out curtains if you need a sleep in the day (I arrived following a night shift). Continental breakfast with bread, cheese, ham, yoghurts, fruit and pastries. Overall a very enjoyable stay for a work trip
Great location and easy to get to. Metro stop just a block away to take you downtown!
Amazing location! Very close to the Duomo. Cute room with nice bright decor ...
Good location, rude staff
The hotel interior desperately needs an update. It’s very old and the inside has a lot of wear and tear. I requested a non smoking room and my room reeked of smoke. The concierge was rude, the staff in the breakfast room was rude. At least the hotel was clean and had a very good location. Definitely not a 3 star hotel. I had higher expectations.
It was just ok
The check in time was a problem, Expedia claimed we could check in after 13:00 the hotel says 15:00. We had an event to be at before 15:00. It wasn't a major issue, just an inconvenience.
Is a bit out of the way if your travelling into Milan but the Metro is nearby. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice.
Italy trip!!!
Location is great close to Metro, very clean and modern room . one and only issue was the digital air conditioning they have it set and locked in, guest cannot change temp i asked twice but no change so we just left the window open all day and night to keep room cool. besides that everything was great.
Good location, everybody smokes here....
Just a couple of blocks from the Metro gives to this hotel a good location but that is all about it. Everybody smokes cigarettes, you can smell it inside the rooms (I travelled with my 3 children so had a Family Suite and the smell was horrible, ashtrays every were)
Worst Hotel Experience Ever
From first moment during check-in, a very rude hotel receptionist, we arrived as per Expedia booking at Check in time 1 pm, he told us he does not care or follow the rules stated on Expedia(!) and that the check in is at 2 pm. To going to the room, finding the hotel is divided in two sections, one for rich people with fancy electronic door keys to another section (ours) old rooms, ours gave me allergy and worsened my asthma condition! The Air Conditioner is only "there" but broken and the room is too hot. The ceiling is cracked around the AC. Everything not that clean. Mini bar with poor items. and hotel far from the Metro station and the street is very dark at night and not safe. Worst Experience!
Close to the metro with good access to plsces
Nice clean hotel, location a little out the way but the metro was 2 mins away. A little out dated but hotel staff very helpful and nice
Convenient for metro with secure parking
Wife's pillow was very old and uncomfortable! Breakfast was good.
Cheap rates with a catch!
In this hotel there are very old rooms and newly refurbished room. Cheap rates always get you the old rooms, which are an absolute nightmare. In my room the bathroom stank very badly, probably due to a problem with the sewer. Shower was falling apart and it had the silicon around the base peeling off and it was very mouldy. It was clear it was a smoking room (there was an ashtray!), while I originally chose a non smoking room. A/C was extremely noisy. Breakfast is a joke and I immediately understood why they didn't charge for it. Internet only worked the first day I arrived, while for the next two days it was completely off! So not a good hotel if you are travelling on business. Will not return! Andrea
Good location, Poor Hotel
Dated rooms. Poor breakfast. Electricity in rooms buzzed and didn't seem safe. Wifi was always disconnecting and impossible to use
Plz do not use this hotel it's very bad customers
Very poor very bad & un expected fee been charged with out telling us they charged me €20 plus U have to pay city tax Plz my request to all the people do not use this hotel it's terriable :( I'am an happy with there service I will never use them again in the future terriable location as well I will not recommend this hotel to any one :(
Good hotel close to MiCo
Stayed there to attend a conference at MiCo. Arrived at around midnight and staff was somewhat rude during check in. The breakfast staff was very nice.
Internet was not working in the room on the laptops.
Good location Close to trains
Noisy fan in toilet that did not switch off. No shampoo. Decent breckfast.
Decent Hotel for conference centre
Good value hotel about 10 mins walk from conference centre. Free WiFi that worked well and buffet breakfast included. Reception staff helpful. Short walk from restaurant and close to Metro station. Furniture a little tired in places, but overall a pleasant stay.
Worlds Expo 2015
Went to Milan for the Worlds Expo. This hotel was basically between the Expo and Milan's downtown. Very convenient for both. The neighborhood has a large amount of restaurants in it. With the free breakfast at the hotel, lunch and dinner were a short walk away. The hotel is also only 4 blocks from one of the Hop on Hop off tour stops. The staff spoke English and were friendly and accommodating. Lastly the room had it's own safe in it. Always a plus.
Would stay again
Typical Central type hotel. Doesn't pretend to be 5* but ideal for access to RHO Fiera. €17 per night for the carpark - they don't tell you this on arrival.
Good value comfortable 3* stay
Good value three star hotel NW of city centre. Few minutes walk from Metro. Right part of the city for San Siro or Fiera. Nothing exceptional, nothing bad.
Pay cheap get cheap
Cheap room equals cheap place. Bed was uncomfortable yes it's close to a train station but there's a lot more other train stations I wish I was by. 1st floor is newer rooms which must be the ones in the pictures. The bar area is not welcoming staff is a bunch of grumpy guys. First place off of a 34 hr travel was terrible pick
If you don't mind being far from the city center t
Hotel is located in a residential area, not so easy to find and to get to if you don't want to use taxi and are not familiar on how to get around in Milan. But once we understood the Metro system and located the hotel on the map, after a long time, we made it. Hotel is older and not much has been done to upgrade ut, but overall it was a nice stay.
Wonderful experience staying in Milan
For the price of the room I think is really value for money and convenience to get around as Metro abt 10 mins walk and there is a nearby supermarket. The size of room was good and big enough for Asian traveller with two big luggage bags. The only downside is no coffee/tea facility in the room. Nearby there is a really nice and value for money Italian restaurant recommended by the hotel and we tried twice really good food and value for money compare to those downtown as prices maybe similar but the amount of food and layout and service excellent. Cheers and like to stay here again if I ever come back to Milan
It was a pleasant stay. Hotel staff is very helpful and polite. Would definitely recommend it to others.
Give Full Marks to Domenichino
This hotel is located in a best place for foreign visitors. This is located at a place close to Milan Convention Hall. My stay for a couple of days gave me a pleasant experience. I personally feel like spending a longer period with my family members. people at the reception counter are simply remarkable. They have correctly guided me on how to reach Melpanso Airport by Metro Train. Give them the full credit.
Quiet Neighbourhood. Tidy Little Budget Hotel.
The Pluses - Hotel Domenichino is located on a quiet neighbourhood, about a 5-min walk from the Amendola station. Selected the hotel due to its much affordable pricetag and its ideal location - in between Rho Fiera (Milan Expo) and City Central (Duomo), on the Metro Line 1. There are two large-sized supermarkets within 5-8mins walking distance from the Hotel - Carrefour and Simply Market. The reception staff all speak fairly good English; some more helpful than the others. The bed is decently comfortable, but the pillow is limp. Requested for an extra that the housekeeping staff gladly brought over. The size of the room and toilet is very decent for a single room. There is also a small bar fridge and a safe deposit within the room. The rooms are well soundproofed, I've got three good nights' of rest. Daily basic breakfast is provided in the room charges. The spread is the same everyday, but you really can't quite complain at the prices you pay. Coffee is great and the kitchen staff are extremely friendly. The Minuses - Service from staff at the reception is a mixed bag; some good, some awful. The hotel's design is a little dated, and reek of cigarette smoke once in a while. The air-conditioning is definitely underpowered. Wifi logins are generated on a voucher basis that can be a little cumbersome at times. Verdict: It is a bargain most definitely. However if you want a romantic getaway in Milan, then you might want to look at alternatives.
Comfortable and well run in quiet area
I spent three nights here while visiting Milan and Expo 2015. The staff were efficient, friendly, spoke excellent English and were happy for me to leave my suitcase in the luggage locker as I had an evening train. Breakfast service was excellent with a wide variety of juice, baked goods, meat, eggs and salad from the self-service counter and coffee served at the table. Room was very comfortable and air conditioning worked perfectly- important with 37C heat during the day in July. Although the hotel is very conveniently located for Amendola metro station, the one drawback was that this is very much a residential area with a small number of shops, bars, restaurants etc. so potential guests would probably do better to eat in the city centre before returning to the hotel.
Destroying the Milan experience
This was a very disappointing visit. The key problem is the unbelievably unfriendly staff (with small exceptions). I was afraid to ask questions, which weren't that many, as it was difficult to deal with these people. Language issue is one, but they had no patience to even to try to understand. The breakfast is far from hotels.com pictures - nothing fresh. Walls between even the superior modern rooms are paper thin. This is a good hotel for EUR 39 budget.
good valuable hotel
Location near metro M1,ease to Expo and Duomo points, good breakfast and service.
Everything perfect, new, nice and clean
Everything perfecr
Mediocre hotel
Hotel.com advertised this hotel with AC But was broken the first night our room was 85'! The reception didn't seem really care that that's why we chose the hotel. Make sure to reserve a NEW room. The others are smelly and old. There are no restaurants close-by. It's ok to stay for a night or two but the management is lacking in hospitality. I did contact hotels.com about refunding money for the first night for two reserved rooms and never received a response. We had a very important event the following day and without AC it was impossible to sleep.
Nice little hotel in residential neighborhood
Nice hotel in a residential neighborhood with a supermarket and metro nearby. The room was small but adequate and quite comfortable. I'd stay there again, especially as a solo traveler. I felt very safe and getting to other points in Milan was easy on the Metro. Check in isn't until 2:00, which is a problem for those of us who arrive in the early morning from the US, but they do try to get you into a room as soon as they can after your arrival. You can also leave your bags in a closet and go exploring before you check in, if a room isn't yet available.
Good stay.
Great location with easy access to the Expo and Taxi Stop. Felt very safe waking in the neighborhood at night. Front desk guys were really nice and upbeat. Room was nice and big - cable had CNN and BBC which our other hotels I Italy did not have. Breakfast was great actually had eggs and bacon with a huge choice of other food. Only draw back was the air conditioner, wasn't coming on so went to front desk and they sent someone up and we found the window was not closed completely so it set off a sensor. After that the man left but the room never cooled down. It was late and we just gave up on it.
FANTASTIC LOCATION
The hotel is situated close to Railway line, so it is very convenient to catch the train. Best location. The rooms are comfortable though little small in size. Overall good.
Comfortable hotel
This is a comfortable and unpretentious hotel in a nice residential neighborhood, close to public transport and to shopping areas. The staff were very nice, the room was clean, and the breakfast good. I will definitely return.
Nice hotel, good location, polite staff
Stayed here for 4 nights for F1 weekend. Staff was very polite and helped with everything we asked. Room was basic, clean and quiet. There is free WiFi which worked great, you get the login details from reception, i didn't like that it's only for 24h so you have to ask for new login every day. Red M1 metro station is near. The bed and pillow are very, very hard! The breakfast was good, you have nice variety to eat, staff is very friendly. Good choice for a budget hotel.
Nice location if you need to work at the MiCo
It's a nice location, close to the Milan convention centre (MiCo) and the hotel service is great. The hotel says free Wi-Fi, but it does not work in the rooms! If you need Internet, you have to go to the lobby! In a business trip it's a nightmare!
convenient to MiCo conference centre
The Domenichino is a very pleasant and comfortable hotel with great friendly service. the only drawback was the less than effective wireless, perhaps related to the position of our room in the building. The big advantage is its proximity to the conference centre, requiring only 10 minutes walk.
Centrally located hotel
The hotel is centrally located, has easy access to Train station, Large & comfortable rooms. Overall a very nice hotel.
Comfortable hotel
The hotel is located very close to Train station, the rooms are comfortable, the hotel is very clean. Recommended.
Bello
Box quebrado.
The hotel was fine for us. We did enjoy our stay.
Nella media
Very nice hotel and friendly staff. Perfect location for exploring the city, as located close to metro station Amendola.
Bad breakfasts staff
The breakfast staff were rude and almost threw us out because we stayed longer than 10 am. We wanted to enjoy ourselves and the food but instead we felt very uncomfortable. We asked one of the staff if the hot chocolate was gluten free but he did not know or wanted to help us. But the reception staff was very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. All in all the stay was nice but the breakfast staff could be nicer and more welcoming
Siisti hotelli. Sisään- ja uloskirjautumisajankohdan suhteen olivat tarkkoja. Asiallinen palvelu.
Quartier sympa.
Great stay
Great stay close to city center
Certamente, repetiria a hospedagem.
Certamente, eu repetiria a hospedagem.
Excellent
Nice hotel, nice staff and calm area with good connection to public transport. I will say that the facilities are old. That has definitely its own charm, but some things could need an update. All in all, am happy about my stay.
Hotel Domenichino | Hotel in Milan | Travala.com
Hotel is in a great location. The staff are friendly and helpful. Decent buffet breakfast, everything you need to get you going for the day. Rooms are a good size and get serviced without requesting. If in Milan I would definitely stay at this hotel.
