Staff w
Amazing location in Rome. From the moment you walk in the door the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are big and have really nice washrooms. When I am in Rome again I will stay here.
Nice Hotel in a peaceful area. We had a view in the backyard and it was nice. 5 minutes walking to metro station and 8 minutes walking to Main Train Station so no need to rent a car to stay there! We were able to visit Rome without any problems. Around the corner of a pastry store where we could eat a nice breakfast in the morning and close to BRAMBLE Restaurant where we really enjoyed dinner. Thank you Hotel des Artistes!
The Hotel is pretty good. Walking distance from Roma Termini and a lot restaurant options around. The stuff is very polite and friendly
I really enjoyed my stay , good location , walking distance from the main station termini and good restaurantes just around the corner .
Extra large comfortable single bed in a very clean room a short safe walk from Roma Termini station. Decor a bit tired, but staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend for a single traveler.
Noisy, Overpriced, Better Options Nearby
Our stay at Hotel Des Artistes was poor. First off, the room we were given wasn’t even in the main hotel. Instead, it was in a separate building down the street, which felt more like booking a Airbnb or apartment than staying at a hotel. This was never mentioned during booking. The room itself was a huge letdown—small, outdated, and uncomfortable. Our room was located right next to the staff supply room, and we were woken up every morning from noise and moving around. On top of that, the noise from nearby buildings was regular , and we were often woken up at 5:30 a.m. most mornings because of it. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I felt it was necessary this time given what we received for the price paid, and the fact that the room wasn’t even in the main hotel building.
Ok
Good
I’d stay again, good breakfast for 9 euro, Quiet street, cool roof top patio to chill and enjoy some drinks that you can by at a close grocery , a bit of a walk from major attractions but not too far, close to metro and main terminal (termini) , good pizza close by, great staff , cool antique lift , clean
Comfortable, quiet hotel close to Termini Station
Excellent location near railway station. Clean rooms -- the single rooms are larger than typical. Good breakfast buffet. Nice rooftop lounging area. Friendly staff, excellent English.
The hotel was clean and the rooms nice. It is about a 30 minute walk from most attractions. Enjoyed our stay, but be aware that the wifi was a bit patchy, and you can't book taxis to ciampino airport from the desk (this may be the same at other places, but meant we had to find a taxi stand as there were no available taxis when leaving). Would stay again.
Very old building, elevator fits only 2 people with 2 luggage’s. Breakfast extra cost you 9 euros per person not worth with what you eat. Otherwise walking distance to Termini station
The location was good and quiet. But the amenities are a bit disappointing.
Great clean safe stay
Staff was friendly and helpful
The hotel I was a great find. Nice quiet neighborhood with dining options. Peter was very helpful and gave us great advice. It was a less tan 15 minute walk to the Termini train station. Highly recommend it!
Room was clean and comfortable. A/C works great. Area was just ok. Staff was friendly. My reservation didn't come with breakfast which was disappointing.
Nice location and good breakfast. Room is neat and comfortable with AC -small but functional. Shower is too small and I wouldn't recommend if you are on the big side.
Perfect weekend
Lovely hotel, beautiful clean rooms, cleaned every day. Shower was amazing and air con was needed In 40 degree heat this weekend. App 35 min walk from colosseum 45 from Trevi/ Spanish steps all very easy to navigate and really safe at night
Really enjoyed my stay here and major shout out to the reception team, especially Rebecca ☺️
A nice hotel near the train station convenient for walking around during our one night stay in Rome.
Nice experience in central location!
The terrasse is not in the same building. Too far The room is very small
We chose it because it is close to Roma Termini (10 mins walk) with endless of restaurant options nearby. Front Desk staff was friendly and check-in was prompt. We requested high floor but were given a room on the 2nd floor. Our room was probably the smallest room type as there wasn’t any space to even open our suitcase but it has a small balcony overlooking the inside courtyard. The decor is classic Italian and was done tastefully, plenty of electrical outlets for our devices; a mini fridge, a kettle for coffee & tea, good closet space to put our clothes; the bathroom is decent size with a small shower stall good bath amenities, although a soap dish would be helpful. I must say the room is very clean and the bed was comfortable. Our room rate didn’t include breakfast and we paid €9 each for a buffet breakfast that could easily cost us €19 at other hotels as food was abundance and the staff were friendly and attentive. All in all we enjoyed our stay and we would come back or recommend my clients to stay here.
staff are nice and helpful. the facilities are great.
Location is excellent. Staff helpful. Paintings on the walls make you feel like you are spending a night in a museum. It's my second stay at thiis hotel. I highly recommend it.
The hotel was pretty good! We stayed for only one night. The room had AC, nice bed, and good bathroom. The person who checked us in was very nice and offered help. The only inconvenient we had was that our room key did not work. They brought the maintenance guy to fix it, but he did not want to fix it and said it was not a maintenance issue. The person at the front desk had to give us his own key so we could access our room without a problem. The front desk was very nice to us, but the maintenance employee did not care about it. It was a good hotel for a reasonable price. It is also well located close to Termini station.
Great hotel.
Great hotel, close to everything
Very good and comfortable hotel
Hotel was perfect. Very clean and friendly staff.
Lovely hotel in central Rome.
Excellent customer service, beds were clean and exceptionally comfortable. Would stay again.
Very comfortable
My stay was very comfortable, and I advise you to try this hotel, which is one of the best in Roma. Next time, I will book again. very clean very kindly staff excelent location
Couldn’t be better!
It was an amazing experience, friendly staff, clean, convenient location, walking distance to the subway and termini, all you need for a family vacation!
Nice quiet room
The room was fine but not in the main building, the problem is that we arrived at midnight and after picking up the keys and doing the check in in another sister hotel we had to find the entrance of the building where our bedroom was and the indications they gave us were not too precise! Also at night you cannot see the number “10” or the slot where to introduce the key… we lost 20 minutes finding it!! Apart from that, room was fine and very quiet, the mattress was fantastic. Since I was sick for three days in Rome and I could not visit it, at least staying in that quiet room with a good bed was a good choice after all. But please give better indication to people who arrive late at night 🙏
Second stay at hotel…
It was comfortable and very efficiently handled all round.
Happy to recommend.
It was a very pleasant stay: things were efficient and comfortable.
Was advertised a room with a larger, newer renovated bathroom but not given that when we checked in. Spoke with front desk staff (who were nice) and when I showed them the pictures of the advertised room, they acted like they’d never seen a room which looked like it. So, it’s pretty clear that the hotel is using the pictures of a different, nicer hotel. False advertising. Other than that, you can hear the door of every room slamming closed 24hr/day. Staff was apologetic and kind and maid staff was thorough. Unfortunately it’s a 1 star hotel and worth maybe half of what I paid.
Great Stay
Great location within relatively easy walking distance of main sights and close to Rome Termini bus and train station. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and reasonable sized rooms with good facilities. Not so sure about the lift but we were only on the second floor.
We chose the Hotel des Artistes because it was walking distance from Roma Termini and it was affordable. It was just what we had hoped: an easy walk from the train station, a friendly multi-lingual staff, a clean, newly renovated room with a firm bed and nice linens. They have an elevator and allow you to store your luggage while you explore Rome. The only drawback is that the rooms are small, but for short stays, who cares?
Staff was very friendly
Rebeca at receptionist was the highlight of the hotel. She took the time to provide additional information to visit the city and suggested great places to dine at. The hotel was safe and well located.
Nice old property well Maintained with helpful staff and close to public transpo, restaurants and the Termini RR station
All hotels in this area are older buildings, including this one. But it was clean and and adequate. Helpful staff. Many restaurants near by and the trains station is 7 min walk.
Great value 7 night stay
Stayed here for Ryder Cup week. It was perfect. Very clean. Very comfortable roomand beds. The breakfast was as advertised and expected. Staff were all very friendly and helpful when we needed them. The area immediately around the hotel has several nice restaurants which are inexpensive. 10/10 would recommend the hotel. Really good value.
Clean comfortable room close to train station and numerous reataurants. Great one night stay
My partner and I just spent 3 days at this hotel. The room was lovely and spacious, larger than I expected…and I thought very reasonably priced This is the seconded time I’ve stayed in this area…very central and easy to get around. Train station is close by, and the metro is easily accessible. Great restaurants and cafés in the area. Peter at the front desk was super helpful with giving us directions. I recommend this location
Great budget hotel. Very friendly staff who spoke English. Loved the roof top terrace, ate our take away lunch up there. Good selection of foods at the included breakfast buffet.
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel des Artistes. Our room was clean and comfy. The complementary breakfast was great and the staff was very helpful. We recommend this sweet hotel. Anne and Clark
Perfect Stay
The hotel it’s perfect for a family trip. I booked a triple room. I felt at home. The hotel is cosy and nicely located - close to Termini Station and at the corner of Carlos Pretorio Station. Massive options of restaurants to enjoy the Italian life at a nice price. In the room there is a British plug option - you don’t need to bring or adapter. Also, there are USB ports - convenient to charge your phone. The breakfast was nice with a range of options - like bread, cakes, juices, cheese, ham, fruit, etc. The whole team of staff gave us a good experience and gave a good knowledge of customer service.
We enjoyed our stay even though it was just for one night

Amazing location, 8min walking to train station. Cleaning everyday, quite
Family vacation
Clean hotel. Great location to Termini. 5 min walk. Nice restaurants in the area. Friendly, courteous staff. Breakfast was good with great variety of eggs, meat, pastries, and variety of coffees. Wonderful breakfast attendant. Everything was clean and fresh. Rooms are nice and clean, modern. We were 3 adults 3 teenagers. Great rooftop area
Nice rooms, quiet at night, nice staff, good breakfast options, and close enough to Rome Termini to walk. Even closer to a Metro station to the north.
I would stay at this hotel again if I'm ever in Rome. Especially if I was coming into Roma Termini station. The staff was extremely helpful, rooms were a good size, beds were comfortable, and everything was very clean.
Peoperty was great, staff helpful. Area like most of Rome right, dirty and grafitti everywhere. Conveniently close to the Termini. Would stay again
Rooms absolutely not soundproof as advertised, could hear people walking on stairs, doors slamming super loudly, and my direct neighbor was talking and shouting all through the night. Called the emergency number because the concierge closes at 11pm and the man on the phone didn’t believe me when I said my neighbor was being extremely loud so no action was taken. My girlfriend and I complained and spoke to the manager the next day to give us a refund for at least a night and we were only given €50 back. The staff were very friendly but absolutely no action was taken to ensure we had a pleasant stay and at least a good night sleep. Will not be coming back, would not recommend if you’re looking for somewhere quiet.
First night in Rome
Our check in was eary and went well. The room was small and not too comfortable even by comparison to other hotles stayed after this one.
Bumpy Ride Near Train Station
Things got off to a bumpy start but eventually improved. At check in, the man at the front desk informed us that the room that we requested with a private bath was not available. He offered us free wifi for our six-night stay plus some free drinks from the refrigerator if we endured some inconvenience for one night. Exhausted from our long flight and taxi ride, we agreed. I can only describe the room as standard maid's quarters. Our "private" outside bathroom could only be accessed with the turn of a screwdriver! Enough said. Fortunately, the rest of our experience was much better. The room we stayed in for the last 5 nights was nicely furnished with old world charm and a modern, private bathroom.
It was a very we'll run hotel the staff was great
The location was perfect just half a block from the metro
Stayed in the annex building which is a few building away from main hotel. Comfortable but room very small. Breakfast was nice & served in main building. Internet wasn't working even though they said there was no problem with it. Surrounding neighbourhood was scruffy & not many restaurants close by. Close to train station for all main connections. Staff helpful with directions to our next hotel, given the internet was not working for us!
Good hotel near to transport for a short break
This hotel is placed well for good transport links, just a few blocks away from Termini. There are lots of good food places in the area around the hotel for your evening meal. The buffet breakfast in the hotel had plenty of choice - the best I've had when staying in Rome. The room was in the hotel on the 1st floor, overlooking the road. There was noisy building work going on next door - early start by the builders but, as I was out most of the day it was okay. The area on the 5th floor with a mini kitchen, vending machines, bathrooms for guests use was great. The only down side was the shower screen over the bath was broken. You could only get into the bath/shower via a narrow gap between the bath and bidet. This made it very difficult for able bodied people to get in/out and I had to resort to having strip washes. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
Hotel des Artistes, simple, basic, convenient.
The hotel is located fairly close to Termine station. It is basic but there is a small coffee lounge on the 5th floor and a roof terrace which is pleasant for an evening drink but which doesn't really have much of a view. Breakfast is self-service but lots of options as to food and drinks. The rooms are comfortable and clean with good bathroom although the shower cubicles are a little tight for those who are no longer sylph-like !!
Great Hotel Handy for Termini
A very welcoming hotel well kept and up to date. The roof top terrace is a great place to relax and have a drink (bring your own if you like) after a hard day's sightseeing. Giulietta on the desk was very friendly and helpful. A good breakfast buffet is available should you wish but be early for the bacon.
2 star price,4 star quality
We arrived the hotel with expectation to see a tired hotel, but were surprised to see how clean and nice everything is. Not luxury, but neat and tasteful. The hotel staff put us into another building which is next door to the German embassy. A huge room with a big TV and an enormous bed. Very nice bedding too. This hotel room is a real bargain for the price we paid.
Good location, clean, helpful staff.
We stayed for two nights at the hotel in Rome. It was an easy walk from Rome Termini station and ideally placed for sightseeing. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and the rooms were clean, spacious and well maintained. This hotel is very good value for money and I would recommend it to any Rome bound travellers.
comfortable hotel close to station
Rome tourism has its shortcomings but this hotel was conveniently situated with some good cafes and a ten minute walk to the Rome Termini
Room was not available when I arrived
They had booked the room to someone else even though I had paid for it in full and in advance. I was told that they had made me a booking at another hotel instead. Extreme lack of professionalism and no, I would not make a reservation there again. NOT recommended.
Affordable and confortable
Best choice for your money. A clean, all renovated small hotel, with highly competitive prices. The rooms have everything you expect, all renovated. They are situated in a secluded area, which ensures tranquility. Good breakfast options. The hotel is near Termini, but already away of the degradeted area of the Termini neighbourhood. There is a Metro station very near, from where you reach all Rome's attraction. I highly recommend this hotel
Comfortable hotel
This hotel was perfect for our city break. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the location was convenient for the termini and access to all the sights. The roof terrace was a haven at night to have a drink after an exhausting days sightseeing. Not a great choice of restaurants locally but enough to do the job.
A hidden gem
this hotel is a combination of hostel and hotel and is in a quiet location but only a couple of blocks from Termini Station. My impression is that the rooms have been constructed from former apartments and there is very good security.
