This was a great hotel with friendly staff. Our triple room was clean and floor plan was practical with shower area and bathroom being separate. Breakfast spread was great with fresh bread and yummy croissants every day. There was a paid parking closeby so it was good to leave the car and walk everywhere. Cathedral and Petite France were only 10 minute walk. Will stay here again if we travel to Strasbourg.

L’Hotel de L’Ill is exceptional value for the price. It’s very close to most places you may wish to visit in Strasbourg. It’s location is less than a minute from the river and the promenade which runs along this side of the river. The staff are friendly and welcoming and will try to accommodate you as far as it is reasonably possible. We would strongly recommend this hotel.

A well run family establishment

Very friendly family run establishment. 5 minutes away from the cathedral, meters away from the quai des Bateliers. The staff was very kind and accomodating. I would stay there again in the future rather than at bigger hotel chains.

Very friendly staff. Helpful. Everything was extremely clean and the hoteliers followed all COVID prevention measures. Our room was small but comfortable. The hotel is in a nice, quiet location close to many restaurants and about 3 minute walk from a parking garage (about €20/night) and 5-7 minute walk from the cathedral.

Super convenient location...bus stop around the corner to main station and only a few minutes walk to Cathedral. Room was clean ..no complaints. Can't rate the staff highly enough...so nice and friendly! I will definitely stay here again when I come to Strasbourg! Thanks for a lovely stay!

The hotel was fine. It had an elevator that worked, the rooms were comfortable, the staff was good, and breakfast was acceptable, the location was great.

Perfect Small and Cozy Hotel

This hotel was great overall! The staff was really friendly, personable, and were able to communicate at ease in French, English and German. The rooms were a bit small (which is typical in French hotels), but very cozy and clean. The area the hotel is in is also very close to a bus stop, a 5 minute walk from a tram stop, and a 15-20 minute walk from some of the major attractions in Strasbourg. As a solo traveller, I felt safe, looked after, and cared for staying here. I would definitely recommend it and come back again!

Walk-up traditional Euro hotel

Great location, just few minutes walk from all of old Strasbourg sights. Extremely nice staff! Small room, creaky floors, OK bathroom, no elevator. Overall, the expected for the age of hotel. We enjoyed 3 nights there.

Good hotel

Very pleasant and helpful staff member on reception. Our room came with a very nice balcony. Beds were pretty comfy, air condition was good. The bathroom was spacious although the shower wasn't great, you had to hold it with one hand and there was no screen/curtain so the floor got quite wet. Also, we booked 3 singles but were given a double and a single which was a bit of a shame.

Good service, all around decent.

The hotel was cosier than big chain hotels, the location was conveniently close to the old town and the customer service was great. The personnel went out of their way to help us when the taxi strike caused us unforeseen trouble. Excellent service. The room was nice but the bathroom was not very private, what with the unlockable glass door and windows opening to the shared terrace. No dealbreaker though.

Great Staff, Nice Hotel, Loud Bar Next Door

The staff was very nice and friendly. Room was small compared to similar priced hotels in the US. However, it was clean and the bed very comfortable. It was warm during the day so we opened the window to cool the room. Unfortunately, the bar traffic across the street was on the loud side. Location-wise it was ideal for visiting the sites near the cathedral - an easy 5-10 minute walk.

Chambre triple agréable et confortable. Belle sdb avec double vasque. Produits de bain disponibles. Très bon petit déjeuner sucré et salé. Très proche du centre ville. Bon rapport qualité-prix pour Strasbourg. Parking gratuit de 19h a 9h dans la rue.

Les petits déjeuners sont excellents . Tranquille, matelas confortable, on y dort bien. Très très bien situé, tout à pied. Seul point négatif, pas de petit réfrigérateur dans les chambres.

Nice small city hotel. The receptionist was a one-man army, taking care of reception and breakfast 👍 Breakfast was not overwhelming, but it had all you needed. Short walking distance to the beautiful city centre. I'll never be a fan of separated toilet and bathroom, hence lower score. Lights in the room and in the bathroom did not work..

Mysigt hotell med väldigt trevlig personal. Ett äldre hus och rum med egen karaktär, mer känsla av att bo hemma hos någon än ett hotell. Härlig terass utanför rummet. Frukosten var rätt liten men fräsch. Närheten i Strasbourg är ett plus.

A nossa estadia foi ótimo, o atendimento muito bom, o Atendente fala ingles, frances e Alemão o que ajuda demais. O quarto é muito bom e curtimos demais nossa estadia. O cafe da manha achamos um pouco fraco mas mesmo assim ainda é bom.

Très bien situé, à 2 pas du centre historique, cet hotel est très propre et l'accueil est vraiment sympathique .Chambre et salle bain correctes, pas de bruit alors que l'hôtel était complet Seul petit bemol, le petit-déjeuner est moyen (une seule viennoiserie, baguette bon marché, salade de fruit bof...)

Das Hotel lag direkt am Fluss, wenige Schritte von der Altstadt entfernt und direkt am Studentenviertel. Das Zimmer war klein, aber alles drin, das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfreich. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war unglaublich!

L'accueil était très sympathique. La chambre était certes assez petite mais avec un grand lit confortable et le tout d'une grande propreté.

Schade war, dass man in der Nacht das Fenster nicht öffnen konnte. Es war eine Durchgangsstraße zwischen zwei Feiervierteln. ansonsten wirklich top.

Super Lage für den Städtetrip, die Innenstadt ist in ein paar Minuten erreichbar. Das nahe Parkhaus ist zwar nicht gerade günstig, aber empfehlenswert. Das Frühstück auch sehr gut. Am Abend hatten wir wegen lautem Partylärm die Fenster geschlossen. Fazit: Preis - Leistung voll ok, wir kommen wieder gerne.

Séjour très agréable dans un petit hôtel familial situé au cœur de Strasbourg. L'hôtel se démarque surtout de part son accueil très chaleureux et son ambiance authentique. Le lieu certes sans grandes prétentions, est extrêmement propre et bien entretenu. On s'y sens très bien et les lits sont très confortables ! Le petit déjeuner est également très bon et généreux. C'est selon moi un hôtel parfait si vous souhaitez découvrir Strasbourg de façon authentique tout en vous sentant comme à la maison.

Étant à Strasbourg pour visiter la ville à pieds, nous avons apprécié la proximité du centre historique, l'accueil et la disponibilité du personnel , la qualité du couchage et les petits dejeuners copieux (et ce malgré l'étroitesse bien secondaire de la salle de bain).

Etablissement très agréable. Nous avons été très bien accueillis et les chambre et salle de douche étaient très propre. L'hôtel est idealement situé, je ne peux que recommander.

Séjour très agréable à l'hôtel de L'Ill. Le personnel est vraiment très accueillant et à l'écoute. L'hôtel est idéalement situé dans une zone piétonne (Mais on peut tout de même y accéder en voiture). Je recommande sans hésiter.

Für ein Kurztrip perfekt, grosses bequemes Bett und eine gute Dusche. Raum aber ziemlich eng und klein, von daher würde ich es nicht für einen längeren Aufenthalt empfehlen. Ansonsten sehr gute Lage, sehr zentral und ein niedlichen Hotel mit nettem Personal.

Hotel à recommander

A Strasbourg il n'est pas toujours facile de trouver un hôtel pratique surtout au moment des fêtes. C'est un hôtel très calme aux chambres sommaires mais très propres avec un bon petit déjeuner. Idéal pour dormir après de belles visites de la ville. Il a été mon choix plusieurs fois depuis des années car quand on vient en voiture, il est bon de savoir qu'il y a un parking à 200 mètres (au tarif non excessif) où on peut laisser sa voiture jour et nuit et comme l'hôtel est situé de l'autre côté de l'Ill par rapport au centre historique, en traversant les ponts vous êtes à 200 mètres de la cathédrale, des centres touristiques, de nombreux restaurants typiques et vous pouvez visiter la ville à pied.

Really nice hotel in with a good location. Close to old-town and Cathedral. Price is good, compared to what you would get in other places. Hotel is a bit old, but the interior is good. Only drawback - really bad internet. There were almost no connection during the first days, but later it improved a bit.
