What a hospitable hotel. Loved free wine hour from 5pm and nightcap at 10. Met some great fellow guests as a result. All hotels should do this! Breakfast was wonderful and plentiful. Room was excellent with comfy beds.
Great location, friendly staff but very commercially oriented. Property needs ventilation and noise insulation.
Overall very good.
Overall a good one night stay. Bedroom is small but adequate for our needs. Extras such as tea and coffee, shower gel, shampoo and body lotion all appreciated. A fully opening window was a bonus, even in January to allow air into the room. Breakfast was continental but with plenty of choice. Good quality ingredients too. The wine hour and night cap were both very welcome too. We would stay again.
This was a great stay location, room & facility wise, houskeeping kept us topped up with towels etc. very welcoming hosts. only reason for a 4 star in cleanliness was a couple faults when we got into the room some hairs on the bed sheets & shower floor and some water stains on the toilet seat
What a hotel this is
Phew from the start from the greeting to the hand over of keys it’s was professional and stylish Breakfast tremendous and organic which I loved oddly … free wine for taster every night and a night cap at 10 was quite amazing and got everyone together the staff are legendary hosts The only place to see Copenhagen situated where you need to be
Great stay, staff were amazing. Thank you
Loved staying at this hotel, it was a lovely room, lovely staff and great area
A lovely hotel in a central location
Hotel Danmark is a great hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. It is in a great location- less than 10 minutes walk from Copenhagen central train station and a few minutes walk from the Metro. There are so many attractions on the doorstep- Christiansborg palace, National Museum of Denmark, Museum of Copenhagen to name just a few. The main shopping street is also close by. I could see Tivoli gardens from my hotel room. There was a Netto supermarket nearby for any basics you may need. The room was warm (I went in December) and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the room had most things that you would need for a few nights. A small bathroom but that was fine for me. It was clean and what you would hope for. There were plenty of restaurants nearby and I ate at Tivoli food hall (right next to Tivoli gardens and opposite the train station) most nights- a great selection of food. I would definitely stay there again when I'm next in Copenhagen and I have already recommended this hotel to my friends.
Location of hotel and quality of staff.
Perfect service and location
Lovely hotel. Great location with a nice fresh produce breakfast. The free wine was a great touch! Very friendly staff too. Highly recommend.
The wine happy hour was great. Met two couples with interesting stories. Staff helpful.
Close to everything in copenhagen.
Such a lovely hotel. The staff were so friendly & helpful. And ‘Happy Hour’ became a very important part of our stay.
perfect location. Very close to Tivoli garden and the Copenhagen central train station. I highly recommend this hotel
This hotel is very good. It is situated in a convenient location to the metro and onwards to the airport. Taxi’s are located at the end of the street. Close to the city centre attractions, shopping and with plenty of dining options.
Review
The room was small, and plain but clean. Breakfast fare was rather limited.
Lovely place to stay. In walking distance of metro and train station and most attractions. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with a good range of food
What a fantastic stay in this wonderful city. The hotel is a short walk from the train station so easy link to the airport. Minutes from all the shops, bars and Tivoli Gardens. The added extra of wine hour and nightcap hour was a refreshing treat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.
great location and the breakfast and afternoon wine were nice amenities.
Loved the happy hour reception downstairs. Great chance to meet fellow travelers. Wonderful breakfast.
Great location for Tivoli world and shops nearby
Patrick was very helpful and our stay was excellent in every way!
We visited the rooftop bar last time in Copenhagen and thought the hotel was so nice decided to give it a try - turned out to be outstanding !!! Wonderful area, super helpful staff, wonderful Happy Hour and Breakfast!! Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again!!
Great property in a great location
Wasn't too happy that the room didn't have air conditioning when it was that hot, and it was two single beds, not a double room as requested.
Fantastic Stay
Fantastic room - very clean and just right for one person. The breakfast was AMAZING and they offered happy hour every evening. I didn't partake as I am pregnant but it looked lovey. Rooftop bar was beautiful - definitely check that out. Didn't have conditioner in the shower but it did have shampoo and body wash.
Small rooms. No AC. Staff was very accommodating.
Reliable hotel in central Copenhagen
Hotel is very convenient for the Tivoli Gardens and the station. The staff are welcoming and there's a happy hour and a nightcap hour! Breakfast is excellent. The bedrooms and bathrooms are quite small. While you can open the window, there is no way of securing it in the open position, so the wind either shuts it or blows it all the way open.
great location, great staff kind of noisy
Not recommending!
Not recommending! Unpleasant stay & impolite service
The hotel wasn't entirely as expected for the price & the design hotel aspect. The rooms are so hot with no air conditioning, a fan was provided & reception told us to open the window which is extremely noisy & smokey from other guests. Breakfast was chaotic each morning. No places set at the table, lack of glasses, empty drinks, tables not cleared, no spoons... There's zero organisation & I'm surprised the hotel advertise the best breakfast in Copenhagen. The location was good however I would stay elsewhere if we return.
The location of the hotel is excellent. Check-in was earlier. Breakfast is good with a lot of choice. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. The roof terrace with bar is wonderful. We enjoyed the daily tasting of wines and spirits provided by the hotel. All major shops and attractions are within walking distance. A good restaurant "Karla" is nearby, but you need to book a table for the evening online.
Great location!!!
Fun design touches, great location, fantastic breakfast and an enjoyable free happy hour!
Impeccable staff. Incredible service. Scrumptious breakfast. Happy hour.
The staff is excellent, very helpful, and knowledgeable. There was some confusion in communications months prior and what I asked for want available, but that’s a problem with Expedia, not the staff. Overall, the experience was nice.
Great location for a city break. Close to the main station and city so easy for airport transport and walking to city centre.
Overpriced NOT WORTH IT
This is an VERY overpriced hotel in the heart of Copenhagen - location is excellent but the bed is not comfortable, rooms are small, and basic items (like an umbrella) are not available to use - we arrived in the midst of the rain and check in staff said we had to purchase one to use it just to come into the hotel I will be coming back to Copenhagen in 2 weeks but will not stay here again.
No aircon which made it really warm on a hot day. Tv didn’t work and when calling reception no one picked up. Had to eventually walk down to reception. Breakfast is great though and so is the location.
Happy hour and night caps were a plus!
We loved wine hour every evening.
Close to the Tivoli and the main pedestrian street/shopping.
Fine
the breakfast was phenomenal
Nice hotel, good breakfast.
Excellent location, within walking distance of attractions, restaurants etc
Danish delight!
Great location to explore central Copenhagen. We tended to stroll around the city to various landmarks, Tivoli Gardens, the central shopping area, Nyhaven and the Meatpacking district which was never more than a 20-25 mins walk from the hotel. After a full day out sightseeing, we were very appreciative of the complimentary wine hour which added to the relaxed vibe. Plenty of bars and restaurants within easy reach. our double room was rather bijou but stylish and comfortable. Hotel Danmark's staff were extremely helpful and friendly, helping to make our city break a memorable one.
Very nice small hotel. Rooms very narrow. Very complete breakfast. One elevator that could get busy as its just one and tiny.
Phenomenal breakfast, location fantastic and very friendly. The free wine and free spirits hours were also brilliant
Great stay. Could do with a fridge in the room and maybe could do with aircon in the summer! We stayed in March so not a problem.
A small boutique hotel with its own trendy charm for people in favor of alternative local charm
Hyggelige boutique hotel with organic breakfast
This boutique hotel is located in the heart of Copenhagen close to Stroget, the pedestrian area, but just far enough away to be quite quiet. I stayed on business for two weeks. The front desk, dining, and housekeeping staff are all friendly and helpful, and the hotel and rooms are kept spotless. It is a paragon of Danish design and very ‘hyggelige’. The breakfast is fabulous. I only wish they had Tebirkes which is my favourite Danish pastry, but they seem to have gone for croissants instead (which are not Danish). They have a happy hour every evening with complimentary wine which is quite relaxed and lively, especially on weekends. And there is even a small gym in the basement which I used a few times. Overall this was one of my best trips to Copenhagen and the hotel made it really easy to get where I needed to go, as it’s close to both the Central Station (Hovedbanegarden) and the metro stop Radhuspladsen. The added bonus is that if you stay seven nights, your eighth night is on the house, which they call ‘Friends with benefits’ in the typical understated Danish style of humour. I highly recommend this hotel. It is definitely excellent value.
Good location horrible bathroom
Location is great. Staff friendly. Room tiny and horrible bathroom standards.
Clean with friendly staff
Nice hotel in a nice convenient area
Great Hotel!
The hotel felt very upmarket. They welcomed us warmly and even upgraded our room at no cost! There is also free wine hours and free night cap hours which we really enjoyed. Would 100% recommend.
Perfect
Amazing...the most helpful and friendly staff..always smiling and making every effort to make your stay better. Special mention Sonia :) Location was great as well..
Welcoming hotel in perfect spot
Perfect location, everything is in walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was simple but cosy, we had a balcony which was lovely to enjoy a coffee and a danish on
Very clean, very friendly staff
Amazing hotel Lovely staff Cool bar Fantastic location for everything
This hotel is advertised as a luxury boutique hotel but little to nothing about it is luxury. The check-in experience was terrible, there is no front desk, you check in at the bar, and when asked why our room didn’t include the seating area it said in the website (and expedia) it included, the staff answer was that she wasn’t the one that took the photos for the website - with quite a bad attitude. There was no inclination to help or accommodate. Also - the beds are uncomfortable and incredibly hard. It’s barely a mattress, more like a thin cot.
Although the free wine hour and breakfast were lovely, the whole property is showing its age, the rooms were so hot you had to sleep with the windows wide open which was a nightmare as the constant party buses passing till the small hours of the morning with booming music and screaming girls made sleep very difficult... not worth the price
All round decent, clean, value for money
All the Breakfast staff were really pleasant. Nice selection of foods. Room was good, comfortable bed, strong decent shower, small cupboard (but I was in the cheese-slice room). No air-con but electric fan was useful. Windows couldn’t be left open at night due to traffic or pedestrian noises. A clean, well positioned hotel in the old town and a decent price too.
Excelent location. We stayed 6 persons in one room with 3 bunkbeds. Compared to another chain we stayed close to this hotel; this one was much nicer and same price.
Very good central location,Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Roof terrace for evening drinks. Small doubles are VERY small!
The Wine Hour and Nightcap Hour every day were wonderful.
Most of the staff was lovely. The first person who checked us in was not, but everyone afterwards was great and I did not see the first person again. The breakfast was great. However getting the the room was a hassle. elevator, several steps up and down to get to the room. Room was warm no air circulation. No refrigerator or ice. Our room came with unlimited coffee, still water, and free breakfast, all great, but would find another place, since the room was uncomfortable.
The staff was very helpful. The brekfast was not included. It is expensive, however, if you like to eat healthy everything is organic and of high qulity. Our toliet broke but the receptionist came and fix it in about an hour. The best thing of the hotel it is really close to all places in Copenhagen!
Location and staff were great. I really enjoyed my complimentary breakfast and daily wine hour and happy hours as well.
Perfect stay
Great location. In the middle of everything. Chic style with a touch of Danish design. The breakfast spread is just right.
My stay was great. Only issue I would state is I would sleep with window open due to no air conditioning and the street down below could be noisy. Seems lots of Danish folks like to party at night.
Good location within walking distance of tourist areas. The hotel bar is modern and the wine hour is such a good
Perfect
Excellent hotel. Fantastic location for walking/biking around Copenhagen and for the price we paid was extremely good value. Loved the wine and nightcap hours too.
OK
not bad, good location to station
Charming and friendly with a wonderful organic breakfast and a wine hour each evening.
Attention General Manager, I booked your hotel for my young daughter Allison Ozikizler because of its location and strong reviews. Now, after a one night stay, I really regret booking this hotel. Firstly, she was charged $28.24 Canadian dollars for a drink that was supposed to be free during the hotel's free drink period. Furthermore, when my daughter asked the front desk to book her a taxi for her early flight this morning, the taxi cab company charged her $82.24 Canadian dollars for the fare to the airport. This fare was more than double the fare that was charged from the airport to the hotel. I imagine you have a referral arrangement with this provider, and as such they have not fairly taken care of your patron. This said, your service is poor and has not taken care of your patron, in fact set them up. It would be more honorable to advise a traveller of the approximate fee they would be paying or have arrangements for a set fee based on your referral. I would ask that you compensate us for this extra charge as well, by way of a credit against the room rate and also suggest that you improve your customer care for future travellers and advise the taxi company as well who may reimburse you given you refer your clients to them. Given my daughter was a young woman travelling on her own at the age of 21, it should be incumbent on you to take extra care as we and she has entrusted her wellbeing to your hotel and staff. I trust you will share our concern
A Christmas stay
The hotel was a wonderfully located in walking distance to all the main attractions. The staff was friendly and the breakfast delightful.
Heating didn’t work and the bathroom leaked on the floor below.
The Hotel was ideally situated to get around and visit the sights of Copenhagen. Having the Wine hour and Nightcap hour was a really nice touch. The rooms were pleasantly furnished and ideal for a short stay in the city.
Quiet, well located to Stroget, great staff
Very accessible location and the perfect size room for solo travellers.
Really convenient location in Copenhagen! Rooms were very small but otherwise comfortable. Only complaint was the weird setup of the bathroom - the sink was not only outside the room with the shower/toilet, but across the bedroom. Otherwise great and would recommend!
Wonderful location. Very polite and extremely helpful staff. Walking distance to many places. Would love to stay again.
Very enjoyable stay. Excellent location and very friendly/helpful staff
Very pleasant stay
Very pleased overall. I thought the hotel was excellent value for money for a hotel room in a good location in central Copenhagen. The staff were friendly and informative. The bar area/reception area was welcoming and well decorated. I was pleased with the room - the twin beds were comfortable enough (although the pillows weren't the best). It got a bit hot in the night (I'm not sure if there was air-con or not) but we opened the window. Nice cool breeze but the hotel is on a main road so the traffic noise was a little noisy. With the window closed the noise was not a problem. The bathroom was compact but the shower had good, fast flowing water. A little odd to have the wash basin outside of the bathroom and in the bedroom but that was no big deal. It was a nice touch for the hotel to have a "night cap hour" from 10-11pm - free short drink from a menu with a good choice. Would definitely stay here again - many thanks
Perfect rooms for short stay in the city.
Loved the social hours
The location of the property was convenient and close to many sites and train station. The staff was friendly and attentive with my questions and requests
It was okay for a low budget trip with friends
The staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. The room was okay. The bunk beds were comfortable but the room was not well cleaned. We found a random gummy bear and some small rubber bands on the floor (like the ones used for braces). The sink and shower had a strange musty odor that was a bit unpleasant.
Rooms are small but clean And stylish. Operable windows, made refreshing and cooling the room air easier. Firm and comfortable beds. Though facing busy street, it is quiet. Roof top bar was awesome. Service friendly. Breakfast delicious and nice options. Some corridors could use fresh coat of paint. Overall excellent stay.
The properties location is great, as it’s so central. The room and bathroom was very small, and the housekeeping needs improving as I had to ask for towels and tea & milk most days. Reception staff were very helpful and the free wine and nightcap is a lovely touch. Breakfast was ok, if a little small and had vegan and gluten free options, but no hot food. Overall it was perfect for a city break.
No air con in the rooms so was very warm. The lift was also broken most of the stay. Otherwise was clean and staff was friendly
Very centric beautiful neighborhood, walkable, easy to stroll around, the breakfast is extraordinary everything taste better here. Staff is so kind and friendly.
Not the best
Hotel charged me for snacks, despite telling us that they were free. TV did not work. Room flooded every time I had a shower, despite reporting it, this was not fixed.
Great location
Loved it and the city
Nice concept but let down by compromised facilities. Desperately needs air conditioning, 3 plug in fans as an afterthought don’t make it a comfortable option.
Great central location, easy walk to downtown, easy walk to train station, and quick car ride from the airport. The hotel itself is a great Design Destination, and much care has been given to the over all feel of the place. Room(s) do not have A/C, but the hotel provided fans, so it was bearable. A bit of traffic noice in the evenings, but ok, considering the location. Loved that we had a booking with "free" drinks, hot and cold. After a full day with walking all over town, a drink is amazing, and a hot latte to relax with on upon arrival was really nice! The breakfast was fantastic, the staff was equally great and friendly!! Roof top was cool, but not enough seating (when we were there). Absolutely worth a booking!!

Great location for access to everything Copenhagen has to offer. Super friendly staff too and a fabulous breakfast
