Overall average stay. The facility is order.

Internet service was very poor in the room.
During my stay at hotel, I noticed one minor inconvenience: the entrance design has gaps between the stones, which makes dragging luggage a bit challenging. That aside, the stay was overall enjoyable due to the high cleanliness standards and the friendly staff.
This is a great property to stay in. We stayed the night before we had to depart from the Rome airport and will probably do so again in the future. The hotel is clean, the staff are helpful and the restaurant on-site is also great. Highly recommend.
Nice!
Check n was fast
The hotel was clean, updated and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. A great experience.
Front desk staff rude on checkin, life guard always talking with bar staff and on his phone, needed to pay for swimming cap for pool, money scam. No impact on hygiene safety, men with long beards still swimming in the pool. Property and room clean. If you need more food options go to the mall next door.
It was perhaps one of my worst ever stays, from the moment I walked in the staff were rude and unhelpful ! After check in I made them aware my bathroom has hair inside of it and that it hadn’t been cleaned properly they totally ignored this and didn’t get done! The only positive was the lovely gentleman who I guess perhaps a manager a young guy who was ever so helpful and attentive the rest of the staff need a huge amount of training ! I have never seen a 4 star hotel with such awful customer service I felt uncomfortable even speaking to them as they were unable to help in any way ! Refused to get me a bottle of water and was told “I am a receptionist” go to th swimming pool if you want water I was totally shocked by this response! I would never stay here again neither would I ever recommend anybody to stay in this awful hotel! Hospitality is about creating great experiences for guests and if I hadn’t made commitments and meetings with my work I would have left the place this is something that could never happen anywhere else!
Good
Every thing was good but the location is far away from Rome termini
Simple hotel, expensive for what it is
Stayed here just for our last night due to proximity of the CIA airport, the hotel staff sorted a taxi but he did say the charge was 35 to 40 euros despite stating on the side of the car that it was 31. As breakfast was inc. and we had an early flight, i asked if we could have the breakfast to takeaway and the receptionist arranged this, a small bag to take away upon leaving. Went to use the pool but asked to get out as a swimming cap was required which i have not heard of anywhere before. Restaurant was expensive but staff were pleasant and accomodating. Hotel was nice with some wear and tear and the triple room was very small plus it cost us 7.50 each in tax for 1 night, when all other places have been 2.
Great place to stay the night for the airport the next day. Gas station right next to the hotel if you have a rental car and need to fill up before returning.
Very good service, nice and clean, breakfast was very good, just one small the fruit juices too sweet
The mall was literally next door. The bus stop to go to the train and then center of Rome is right in front. It was very easy to get around and poool was a great scenery
Nice hotel
Worst Stay Ever
It was the worst experience I had staying at a hotel. The reception staff are not friendly. When you arrive, they continue reading or be on the pc & wait for you to greet them first. When you ask the reception about modes of transport & directions, you are told to Google & find out where you want to go. There is no egg station to prepare your egg how you would like it, you had to eat the cold scrambled eggs made earlier & kept. There is a language barrier & staff are not willing to assist with any queries. Overall they are rude or maybe it was just because of my skin colour. #RACISM
Breakfast is great. The buses are coming pretty rare.
Just ok
at least he has to but coffee machine in the room??
Great Family Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Colombo! We didnt want to stay in central Rome but wanted a good public transport network and a pool to cool down in after long days, this was exactly what we got. The bus stop is the otherside of the road (underpass) its a 6 minute ride to EUR Fermi (Metro) then about 25 minutes to Colosseum. The staff were really helpful and always available. The breakfast is all you can eat, delicious and there was a great variety of food available which was always topped up as they opened breakfast from 6:30am - 10am. There is a very large shopping mall (Euroma2) literally round the corner which has a huge supermarket (Ipercoop) in. The pool is open between 10am-7pm which is great and a god send after a long and hot day walking round beautiful Rome. They offer free early bag drop off which was perfect as we had and early flight but couldn't check in until 3pm. Would definitely return if we came back to Rome as couldnt fault the place and location.
nice hotel
+The room was clean and very nice. Staff very helpful. Very good breakfast. -Plastic cups for juices and tea during breakfast were very disappointing (creating plastic waste, not environmentally friendly)
Good stay.
Nice Hotel and very good stuff so friendly and helpful
Poorly Managed Hotel
The rooms were not ready we have to stay for longer time. some rooms where available but they will not checked us in without paying extra charge so we did pay for one room extra charge. The cleaning staff very slow with poor quality of outcome. The hotels accommodate teenagers and were very noisy. It happens twice where we had these teenagers. get into our room and I cannot understand why front disk give them a copy of our keys.
Meet all expectations!
Hi, we traveled to room for a quick friend vacation. First thing is that they tried to charge my card prior to my arrival, even though I had pay at hotel. Nowhere on their information does it say it is mandatory to wear a swimming cap. This is very inconvenient for black people, as we have braids and the caps are tiny. In the receptions response, we were Told to go buy one that fits our hair. Their were only 2 good reception staff, Ilaria and the blonde gentleman who worked late at night and made sure we were escorted to our room as we were followed by 2 men. This hotel is a 3 star motel and they don’t even have an iron. These things should Be mentioned in the post, as I wouldn’t Of booked due to swimming pool rules. Major culture shock. The floor in rooms were dirty and not mopped
Not close to airport as reported. Kinda in middle of nowhere.
It’s an ok place for one night as we did. Not as close to the airport as we thought so took a lengthy taxi ride. Seems like a place for conferences. Breakfast was very good.
Excellent Hotel w/ good food and service!
Well maintained hotel and a good spot to hub into Rome’s sights. Staff is very good and food in the hotel restaurant is very good as well. Second time we have stayed here. Staff and management very responsive if you have a service issue, and always make it better. Thank you!
The bathrooms should be upgraded to remove the bathtub and only have a shower.
Good place to stay if headed to the airport, but far from central Rome
Very busy breakfast and reception location
Reception and breakfast area was very busy all the time, for such a this huge hotel, they need more space
The was close to the airport. I recommend paying all your bills before the morning of checkout so you can just get into your cab and leave.
Landscape was in desperate need if maintenance...all else was great
Approximately 11 miles away from FCO Rome Airport and next to a shopping mall. If you like to stay close to airport or have an early am flight out of Rome, this property will help you get to the airport without having to worry about beating traffic. Plenty of space available to park your car overnight. Breakfast buffet started on time and had good selection of cheese, meats, fruits, yougurt, croissants and coffee.
Excellent hotel location and services
The beds and pillows were like concrete. I like a firm mattress but these were very hard and very uncomfortable. For my wife and I these were the worst nights sleep we have ever had in a hotel. The hotel is currently undergoing construction so don’t expect to sleep in. The staff at the buffet breakfast are great. Very helpful, friendly and professional.
It is closed!
The hotel is closed since March 2020 and this info is not reported anywhere. They inform you last minute to go to another hotel. I think that this info should be available before to book, not later on. So I can decide which hotel to choose.
Clean stay
Clean.. Comfortable... convenient location. Loved the balcony.. the nice tub... bathroom a tiny bit small but workable. We had a room with three twin beds. All we needed it was to sleep so I worked out. The fridge was not working well.
The lobby was beautiful. Room was clean and comfortable
Comfy and nice place
Conveniently located for my needs and very comfortable accommodations.
Good breakfast, clean, safe. Lots of buses and busy airport hotel, efficient.
The room is nice and the beds are comfortable. Special shout out to Stefano at reception who was really kind and nice to call the kitchen to make 3 breakfast boxes for us as we have an early check out before 6am for an early flight and won’t be able to sit in the restaurant for the included breakfast with our reservation.
The property was clean, stylish and comfortable. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable, provided standard information about meals, hotel schedule and transportation. Our room was standard compared to hotel rooms in the U.S. This location is right around the corner from the local bus and a couple stop from the main Metro terminal. We had to walk a block or two to the mall next door to buy tickets. Taxis were expensive $40 - $55 one way into Rome. Trying to get into building 4 was a bit of a trick. The latch on the door was faulty and if you tried your hotel key more than twice it stopped working! In fact, one morning we sat and watched others getting stuck at the door, four groups of guests all trying to get in at the same time with no luck, at one point even the hotel maid couldn't get in and a maintenance worker stopped to help her! The rooms were comfortable and clean but we could hear everything going on in the hallways. Thank goodness for earplugs!
Seems to be a party hotel. Hard to get a good night sleep.
The bathrooms are very small. To turn on the showers is a challenge. The faucet is in an inconvenient spot. Tha AC is complicated to use and there were no instructions in English on how to use the safe. No shuttle services to the centre of Rome
Front desk very off putting. Didn't give clear directions for getting around the hotel area and connections to buses and trains. The information sheet was not large enough to read. People in Rome are not very polite and are very greedy. I suggest you only go if you have lots of money to spend. Also need strong legs and stamina to get around the city.
The rooms are nice- basic but very clean and not outdated. It is right next to a mall with a general department/grocery store in it. So if you had forgotten anything on your trip it is only a hop and skip away to pick it up. They are very adament about 2 pm check-in. Not a minute earlier. Our plane landed at 7am and we got to the hotel at 9am. We slept in the lobby until 2:05pm. It is out of the city but there is a metro right outside. The only negative I have is that our shower drain was clogged. The shower is flush with the floor on the bathroom so it had only been 2-3 minutes since I turned it on that I noticed the entire bathroom floor was flooded and leaking out into the hallway. We went to tell the front office and they only brought several towels to line the outside of the shower. We had been on a tour in rome for 8 hrs in the summer and were covered in sweat. That was not going to do. The maintenance man sort of got mad at us but we went to the front office and they were able to switch rooms. Other than that though I would definitely recommend it :)
Over night stay fine.
Worth an over night stay. Clean hotel. Good staff. Mall next door worth a visit.
Great Hotel
The only thing that I don’t like is waiting 20 minutes in line for check in when you need staying only one night !
A nice hotel .
We chose to stay at this hotel because it had pool for afternoon cool offs after sightseeing in rome . Sadly the pool was closed for 3 days because off a filtration problem . A qucker soltion should have been found by hiring a portable filter . The hotel is very nice and has easy acess to rome by bus and metro . Reception should have transport tickets for sale . The restaurant is nice with great service and food choices . It could be enhanced with some music . The hotel should have some goodwill because of the pool issue maybe a dining discount . Put kettles in room to make coffee or tea
Out of Rome
Positives: Housekeeping, free parking, room Negatives: Reception (customer service), internet(wifi), location Extremely disappointed with the reception staffs; rude and had no intention to help whatsoever. As tourists, we needed support with directions, places to visit, how to commute, etc.. they were not keen to give any information or assistance. WiFi was terrible. The hotel is located away from the main center of attraction.
There is a gorgeous mall right next door literally a 3 minute walk and you can spend an entire day in this mall.
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast and close to the metro; you can reach any part of Rome very quickly.
It looks good, but looks are deceiving. Where you stay, the position and level of your room will all impact upon your experience. But the real problem is noise. There is so much noise. The hotel is next to an extremely busy main road (four lanes) and intersects with others. The noise from traffic, loud car horn beeping and sirens is constant. On my second night a school group were extremely noisy and the hotel sent a security guard to the room twice to no avail and they only whitened down at 3am after I insisted their teacher was called. They then played cartoons loudly on the TV which is positioned against a very thin wall, with the result that I didn’t sleep that day until 4:40 am. Secondly the room had no ability to change the room temperature which was set at an uncomfortable 25 degrees centigrade with high humidity across the hotel rooms. The solution turn it off, open the window and balcony door. But this let in more noise and worse - mosquitoes. Air con was switched off and they wouldn’t turn on. So Inasked for and was given an alternative room. The result was a better nights sleep. My final night’s stay was again interrupted by noise, this time kindly provided by a nearby club, blasting out European club music until 3:30am. When I complained I was told that the building was either nearby or on-site. But I had come to the end of my stay at the noisiest hotel I have ever experienced! Avoid if you need to rest at all!
A motel rather than a hotel
Breakfast was below average for this class hotels. No opportunity to iron shirt and trousers. Had to go to a meeting with a wrinkled shirt and trousers.
The hotel was very nice. Close to a shopping mall with restaurants and a grocery store. My only issue was a noisy neighbor and the front desk moved me to another room.
The experience was good. Staff is pleasant, especially the night staff at the restaurant (George and Enzo?). Overall, they were very helpful.
Easy access for driving which was our goal. It does have an odor like others have mentioned, but seemed clean.
Staff was older and not very people friendly. Room was very nice and was described exactly. Thought hotel would have been closer to airport.
nice and comfortable
new in good condition, enjoyed our stay and it had a very good breakfast.
Air conditioning didn’t work
Staff is super nice, rooms comfortable and very clean, very quiet and close to a huge shopping mall. We'll be back!
Lovely hotel
The hotel was extremely clean. We stayed 1 night and still enjoyed it.
Only needed the room to shower and repack. Arrived at around 12:30am, was given a room that hadn't been cleaned yet. Neighborhood seemed a little sketchy as well.
Is a 4.5 stars that shut down the AC after 4:30 pm
Everything was perfect the room, location next to airport, etc...except they turn the AC controls off after 4:30 pm. room was kind of warm
Great Staff, incredibly helpful
Our original hotel was cancelled less than 12 hours before we flew so this hotel was a last minute booking, we were due to stay in the centre of Rome so it wasn’t ideal to be 8 miles out but that’s obviously no fault of the hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful, especially trying to resolve our issue of a lost phone, o we only have extremely high praise for the staff there. Hotel was very clean
budget accommodation near shopping
good accommodation, clean and modern located steps away from one of the main shopping malls in Rome. If you have a car this is a great choice.
More of a building site than hotel out front.
Not an experienced that I shall rush to repeat. If you go, don’t leave the room.
Hotel was not too bad.
The choice of breakfast was rather limited. Too much sugary pastry and there were not much fruits. We arrived there in the evening and the choice of meals were again limited. I needed a list of interesting places in Rome, but the help was less desirable and I was not even offered an underground map as a good gesture from the staff hotel. The shuttle transport was late by 25 minutes to take us to the airport. The hotel receptionist was not very helpful.
A good hotel to stay in Rome.
We stayed three nights. Room is comfortable and clean. Service is good. Breakfast is rich and satisfying. Recommended hotel.
Great
It was a great time for our family stay in this hotel. Would like to visit again in the future.
New room was great
Everything was good here, it was close to the bus stop and mall. Room was very clean and new. The only thing we didn't like was that the AC was not working and reception told us it was turned off because it was already cold outside. We didn't get to adjust the temperature at all and it got a little warm in our room. Also, reception staff could be a little more friendly.
Recomanded only for tranzit not turistic.
Very good hotel, clean, good breakfast. One single disadvantage - too far from the historical center and local attraction.
Nice new clean quiet hotel!
We were in the new building of this hotel... very clean, new, quiet, great temperature control and very quiet! Breakfast was great as well! The only small complaint was the parking lot. It was hard to get around with the construction going on...
The hotel is under construction and
We asked for a quiet room after a 20 hr flight and arrived 10 min after the restaurant clioaed with no food anywhere nearby We were woken up at 7 am with jwckhamnwr and construction work right below our window after going to bed at12:30 looking for a open restaurant by taxi and $40 later and only 6 hrs of sleep
Stayed three nights. First day, we had to walk over a mile to get a bus ticket because they didn't have any at the front desk. The hotel is about half way between the airport and mid-city, but can get to town by bus, then metro. Could not get money from atm's at the mall. Had to go all the way into town to find a bank.
Location slightly farther from centre than I thought but transport links excellent. Hotel staff very helpful and rooms very pleasant. The mall next door was a real bonus for shopping and meals. There was building work going on when we were there which looked like was almost finished. My only criticism would be the pool which was very dirty. A real shame.
Nice hotel in convenient location
As previously reviewed, I really like this hotel. Clean, modern and many nice features and details, especially in a European hotel. Convenient area with bus stop in front and next to large mall. The only thing that brings this down is the reception staff. Staying there on two occasions this summer, I saw different ones and to a fault, they were all rude and unfriendly. Not a big deal when compared to the other benefits of the hotel, just out of character.
Outskirts of rome
We needed a spot to rest and get my husband to the airport outside of Rome. The hotel is a series of buildings. There is considerable construction going on. Nothing in the neighbourhood but a big mall and a few gas stations. The rooms were very small especially for a family of four.
Nice hotel and pool. Amazing mall next door
Enjoyed our visit to Rome. Hotel better than we expected from some of the previous reviews
Great hotel!
Beautiful hotel, great amenities. Location was excellent in front of bus stop. Desk staff not so friendly, but hotel is so good you can ignore them.
Great hotel for the money
Good 4 night stay in extreme heat in Rome so grateful for the air-conditioning and pool. Room clean and comfortable. Difficult to get sun bed round pool as it was very busy - also towels not supplied for pool and not allowed to use hotel ones.
Nice hotel with easy parking
This was a nice hotel with easy parking for a night before our flight out of FCO. I would stay here again in a similar situation.
Ax didn't work Fridge didn't work Phone lines were
This place sucked. Only 2 things good about it 1. Mall next door 2. Breakfast was 5euros if u buy directly from restaurant and decent
Generally a comfortable place.
A bit far from centre and would have liked pool to be open as weather was good enough 27 degrees. Building work was not advertised and was a bit noisy in morning, but this probably made cost more reasonable. Breakfast could be better with lack of fruit and topping up cold meats and bacon for later risers.
Our stay was during renovation.
Our stay was during renovation, no one tell us before arriving that at 7 a.m. Workers will be use hammers and other equipment. Horrible noise, very uncomfortable. Room condition ok, except noise every day.
worst choice so far on Hotels.com
it was pathetic. Very noisy. Basic facilities, very small rooms, breakfast was just OK. no way a four star hotel.
Amazing hotel and staff!
Couldn't of chosen a better hotel, the room was perfect and imacculate. All hotel staff speak English which is a bonus. A warm welcome. free wi-fi which you can't complain about. Right next to a massive shopping mall with over 80 shops from fc Roma store to Pandora, plus estaurants (Italian restaurants, steakhouse, McDonald's & Burger King, ice cream shops and a supermarket), we was amazed. Only a few minute bus journey to the metro station aswell. I would definitely recommend this hotel!! 5* from me.
Wifi not
My room was in a separate hotel, which is fine. However, I quickly realised that Wi-Fi did not work for me in my room. When I went to the staff, a lady asked me 'what should I do about it?' then tuning in to check and told me they would find someone to inspect this year but never came back
Cristoforo Colombo Hotel Experience
The hotel is found in an excellent location. There is a good car park, clean rooms, adequately furnished. The only problem I would like to point out was the noise. There was construction ongoing and although the windows are double glazed, the noise was loud at night and in the early morning.
it is the first time travel to rome. i had no ideia the hotel.just like going in blank. was easy from airport to hotel taken about 15 m. the hotel it is lovely the staff very helpful, good foro travel with family. and room are nice for its 5 star wifi its great i stayed for night. location good shopping centre located 2 m walk from hotel, i was very happy to be in this hotel. i do going back again. i recommend forfriends family who travel to rome.my staying was good.
Disappointing hotel
All looks good first but if you come in the room an awfull sewer stench
Functional hotel
Stayed here out of necessity, not choice. Pool was filthy, rooms recently refurbished but bathroom drain smells were dreadful. Area not somewhere you would choose to stay. staff ok.
Glorified motel 6
My wife and I pulled up to "the hotel" (which could be easily mistaken for an apartment complex in Compton) after a long flight. We were completely deceived by the pictures (good photography, kudos!) but were willing to keep An open mind. I have received better greetings from a pack of wolves. Believe it or not the treatment from the staff only worsened as time went on, we were hung up on several occasions after asking remedial questions. The "free" breakfast is only "free" if you book through there site and not a third party. I wouldn't mind paying the fee (cheap) if the food was even mediocre. The inmates at Alcatraz were fed better. The construction next door begins at 7 if not before and doesn't end until sundown on some days. The location is too far from the aerporto and too far from downtown for the price. There is a nice shopping mall next door, that's about it. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to the homeless people in Central Park if they were giving away free rooms.
Accessible and convenient
Convenient and close to a big shopping mall - Euroma2. Easy to tour metropolitan Rome as buses connecting to the metro station are just outside the hotel.

Clean and comfortable hotel and good breakfast!!
