Staff were excellent in guiding us into parking space. Very helpful and friendly.
Super location, comfortable rooms, great breakfast and fabulous staff!! Great stay right next to the main square. Excellent choice!
Staid at this hotel while doing Peru Hop. Booked through expidia though as price was better. Hotel was in a good location lots of resturants to walk to. The rooms are a bit outdated but clean and have whats needed. There is an elevator which is nice. Breakfast was good. And they let us stay in our room a bit later as our pickup from Peru Hop was 3 hours late.
Lovely place close to Plaza de Armas. Clean hotel with a great breakfast.
The hotel was aged and a little tired however was in a great location near the plaza, the rooms very large and comfortable with a view and friendly staff. The breakfast was a nice inclusion also.
Very close to everything very clean and excellent customer service
The property was close to the town and main plaza
Great location, comfortable room
nothing spectacular, better facilities around.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel has only luke warm water for shower and definitely no hot water. The bed was not comfortable but great view and location. Buffet breakfast was good.
Very nice Staff. Close to Plaza de Armas. Charming authentic remodeled very old super thick walled home.
Front of building under construction.
Nice, clean, comfortable
Great spot in Puno. Good location, comfortable, clean room, friendly and helpful staff. Good value for price!
Staff were outstanding! Very friendly and extremely helpful. Location is unbeatable as well. We also felt safe during our stay. Accommodations were a tad outdated, but the excellent staff and location made right up for that. Would stay here again.
The hotel is right on the back corner of the church and the plaza - which is good and bad. There is more noise with the taxis and honking but convenient to walk to places. The hotel breakfast has variety but will be the same daily. The hotel does not provide bottle of water or glass(es) in bathroom which would have been nice. If you need a taxi, have the staff arrange for you - paid 5 soles to get to bus station. Would recommend going to grocery store (it’s like a super Walmart) to get water and snack food.
In a good area. Staff very pleasant and helpful at all times. Bathroom a little dated and typical for area a little cold in building.
On the positive side, the owner and the staff were very friendly and helpful. And, the hotel itself was very well located. HOWEVER!! Their listing on Expedia showed that they have a restaurant and bar. In reality they do not have them or they are closed. This is particularly disturbing because: I AM QUADRIPLEGIC AND IN A WHEELCHAIR. AND,I ONLY BOOK HOTELS WHICH HAVE A RESTAURANT AND BAR because if we arrive later than 7:00 PM after a day traveling by bus (as was the case) we probably will not want to endure the hardship (particularly for my wife - who is pushing the wheelchair) of maneuvering the wheelchair over cobbled streets. They offered to call for 'take-out' which we accepted. But, we had to wait more than 90 minutes for delivery of the meal, and when it arrived it was inedible. The only thing they could say was "We will not use that restaurant again" The hotel itself was poorly maintained - chipped paint (needs a complete repainting), and somewhat grubby (in need of deep cleaning)
Great location and great staff. Very nice and helpful
The location of this hotel was perfect, just steps from the plaza de armas and Main Street of restaurants.
The location was great with a great view of the cathedral and you could see lake Titicaca in the distance. Very suitable for our needs.
Beds uncomfortable, freezing cold in the bathroom. Great location in the heart of Puno.
Front desk staff really made our stay excellent. Andrea especially was outstanding and so heblpful. Location was great with good food nearby.
When we arrived to check in, the hotel moved us to another hotel. Someone was very sick and was unable to check out, thus taking our room. I understood the situation and it was wonderful that the hotel made arrangements for us and even had a staff member walk us (helping with bags as well) to our new hotel. Unfortunately the hotel we moved to was bad. It was a disappointment.
No AC and on a busy corner, which meant lots of traffic noise when the windows were open. Even closed there was lots of car horns early in the morning which woke us up, even on the 5th floor. The "free" breakfast was mediocre at best.
Good location, good value for the money. Some areas need to be upgraded due to age of the facility.
Puna stay.
This is a well situated hotel with a friendly staff many with good english. Very reasonably priced.Decor a bit "of its time". Reasonable variety at breakfast but perhaps more staff needed as the main person had to be a bit manic to clear up/set up.Right next to the Cathedral and easy reach to places to eat.
Great location with view of the main church and a minute walk to the main square. Lots of light but our room was small. The shower had really low pressure. The breakfast was good.
Good location but there were noisy guests in nearby rooms each night.
The property is as expected and I did not find any problem with it. The location is perfect and is near down town. The one problem is when I check out, the front desk ask me for payment again which I have already paid Expedia. She accepted my answer and let me check out without having to pay again.
Very nice and clean. Breakfast was good too. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Good location
Stayed here for 6 nights during the most busy time of the year. There was always hot water and the building itself was not noisy. Of course the hotel is in the plaza, so there will be street noise (and festival noise if it's February). There was a built in heater in the room which worked nice. The windows let in a lot of cold air (you can see the curtains move when the wind is strong). The thick blackout curtains help though. Overall a good place to stay. If you don't mind the noise, the location is fantastic. The staff is very friendly and willing to help.
OK stay near main square
Hotel was good location. Friendly staff and service. Overall ok. Improvements: Room had signs of water leaking in during rain. Carpet got really wet Bsthroom had no towel bars to hang clothes. No exhaust in bath letting all stink and humidity linger in the room.
Peru traveller
Was clean, comfortable and well located. Was let down by the room being a bit tired and in need of repainting. Had a shower in the bath - typical of 3 star hotels. Was very good value.
Hotel is located in the center of the city, around 30 min walk to the lake. staff helped us to organize tour. Good breakfast. Window in our room had a crack and it created a drift. Room was small, we had 3 twin beds. Nothing much to do in town.
The Hotel Conde de Lemos is a well-located, comfortable place to stay. The staff are polite and make you feel welcome.
Very nice hotel close to the main centre and shops/restaurants.
Decent, central Puno hotel
A decent hotel in a good location, right opposite the Puno cathedral. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Unfortunately, the windows didn’t seal 100%, which meant it was a little noisy at night even on the 5th floor. My booking stated a city-view balcony but there was no balcony — I wasn’t in the room enough to complain but it was a pity. The bathroom and decor in general could have done with a refresh. The reception staff were very helpful.
GOOD LOCATION, good price, clean and easy to reach
2 days in Puno
Good location next to main square yet reasonably quiet at night. Warm water for showers. Room was warm at night. Heater supplied but only needed to use it in morning and before bed
Well situated hotel. Close to the plaza, yet quiet. Very accommodating staff.
We had an enjoyable stay at the Hotel. The staff was very responsive and very polite. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast met our needs. If there is any issue it would be with the outdated carpets in the stairs and hallways. Other than that, our experience met our needs completely.
I highly recommend this hotel - perfect location, 1 block from Plaza de Armas, it was quiet and safe. The staff is attentive: when me & my son got altitude sickness, they hurried up and gave us a 5 min treatment with an oxygen tank. The pharmacy is one block down the street to get Soroche pill for altitude sickness & we were better within 2 hrs. The rooms have heat ( a huge plus - most Puno hotels do not have heat in rooms), clean, and plenty of hot water. The staff was wonderful, especially the restaurant, who took pride in putting a beautiful spread for breakfast which is included in the price.
Nice hotel for a short stay in Puno. Close to the town centre. Great value.
Well located hotel with friendly and helpful staff
Nice hotel in mid town Puno. Its about a 10 minute walk from Lake Titicaca bay so well placed and away from the Tourist traps. The hotel was undergoibg to minor refurbishment work when we stayed here but there was minimum disprution to our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the Queen Bedroom was well sized and the bed extremely comfortable. The nearby square has a number of restaurants and bars and is a nice place to people watch. Overall a good place to base yourself for a stay in Puno.
Location was the best. Water was hot, breakfast was large variety. Rooms very very clean and large. Love my stay.
really great
My room was warm and cozy. The staff was professional and helpful and the breakfast was delicious, healthy, with multiple options. It was located right near the plaza de armas. I went during the fiesta de la virgen de la candelaria which means that you could hear some of the bands playing at night but i was fine with that and it was not so loud that it kept me up at night at all.
Hesus (Jesus) at he front desk and the girls at the front desk were excellent. Jesus would offer Oxygen when he sees you breathing heavy/altitude sickness and did not expect anything in return. He was very helpful. The old guy in the night shift would ask for 10 Soles after 5 min of Oxygen tank use.
Wonderful room and location
Lovely rooms with balconies overlooking the square; close to great restaurants and pedestrian streets. Friendly staff and good breakfast. So glad we stayed here!
on square, great location
great location in center of town, close to eateries and social activities. Spaceous room, balcony faces church, hills. Helpful and curteous staff. Picture of rooftop in website is somewhat missleading, does it exist? We could not find it?
Great customer service
The hotel is in good location, breakfast is good, customer service is good. Even we check out, but they allow us to store our big backpack incthe hotel for our overnight lake titicaca trip without charge. We have a pleasant and comfort stay! Thank you!
Nice location.
Nice location. Friendly staff. Rooms are a little dated. Breakfast was the typical continental, it was ok but not great. Overall ok value for money.
Nice hotel for short stay in Puno
Stayed two nights and hotel was fine for that purpose. Can be cold at night but hotel has heaters (typical for area -- no central heat but stand alone heater). Provides shampoo and soap only, so bring your own toiletries and a washcloth/scrubby (the one putatively designated a wash cloth had a note saying it was multipurpose for face, shoes, etc). Very little shelving near bathroom sink, which makes it difficult to sort out and use everything. Hotel does not provide bottled water, but is for sale in the lobby and in little stores nearby. East to get pick up and drop off from this hotel for boat tours, Hop transport, etc. Staff friendly and helpful.
Excellent hotel
We stayed two nights and we enjoyed the hotel. We didn't get to explore the surrounding area, but it seemed to be in a good spot. The hotel itself was great, I can't praise the staff enough. Thank were all exceptionally helpful and polite.
Lovely rooftop terrace
On arrival we had been upgraded to a room with quite a large terrace - it was more of a suite than a room. The views were fantastic from the room and the terrace and we were disappointed not to have longer to stay on that occasion. The breakfast was good and we at each no the restaurant on the night we arrived which was also good. Free luggage storage whilst we went onto a two day lake titicaca tour. On our return we booked to stay an extra night due to illness and the staff were very helpful which was really appreciated in these circumstances!
Hotel Near Plaza De Armas and city center
This is an average hotel but closer to many good restaurants.
Decent hotel in central Puno
Puno is not particularly interesting but the hotel is near to the city center. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was good. That being said, the hotel is a bit tired.
Surprising care and quality
This is perfect for the tourist. Great meal at 6 in the morning, attentive staff. Great room with view. Heating if you need it. Hot water with good pressure. Mini fridge if you need it. Had some problems with intermittent internet, but, it's too be expected. Great assistance with transportation and directions.
Right near plaza
Lovely breakfast. Nice room with little sitting area. Perfect location.
Choose another Hotel!
This Hotel was really disappointing. Their was no roof terrace as in their photos. Room service was appalling, the hot water was not working and the rooms were small. The staff have very little English which was a problem. On the positive side the buffet breakfast was good.
Comfortable stay
Comfortable stay, room was basic but clean. Nice hot shower!
A clean, comfortable room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great place to stay!
Great location. Nice facilities. Great patio. Helpful staff.
Convenient and clean hotel
Good location, clean and staff are helpful.
Puno
Stayed four nights to visit lake titikata and local points of interest, the hotel is central and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is used by many of the tour companies hence there are groups only staying a night. Puno is only worth a 2 day visit as there is little to do outside of the lake.
Good location, rooms could do with a refurb
This hotel is located very central to the main square and moments stroll to all the bars and restaurants. We only had 2 nights here as we were using it as a base for accessing the Uros Islands and Isla Taquile, which is pretty much what everyone in Puno is doing. The hotel was comfortable but the rooms could do with updating and the power cuts can be a bit of a problem, however, we enjoyed our stay here.
Good Location
The room is not very impress. I would say on par for a 3 stars. The main selling point for this hotel is the location. It's right around the tourist area. You can find plenty of restaurants.
Hotel is ok, but no air conditioning available.
Hotel is ok, but no air conditioning is available. The sun hit our room in the hottest part of the day (the afternoon) making the room very warm. It was not until 1 am in the morning when the room felt comfortable enough to fall asleep. The second day I requested a fan and it made the room comfortable to sleep by 11 pm.
Well located hotel
Located on the plaza de armas, a short walk from the main bar and restaurant area and walking distance to the quay the boats go from, it has a light and airy lobby with good seating areas.
Great location, across from the main square.
Very nice staff. Room was large and had a sitting area enclosed with glass overlooking the street. Nice for sitting and relaxing. Nothing else was exceptional or better than other hotels.
Good, Central Hotel
Comfortable hotel given the low temperatures in Puno.
Central location, not much more
Quick breakdown: WiFi not functional/usable Overcharged for laundry (I didn't do very much yet I was charged for 5.2 kgs) Hot water was limited in the morning when other guests were using Breakfast was good
About as good as you can get
location location is as good as one can get in Puno right beside the cathedral. Nice size rooms with excellent bathroom. Breakfast is very good
Great value for money
No, this is not modern, 5* luxury. The sheets need to be replaced and the carpet needs to be torn up. But the bathrooms have been redone quite tastefully. The breakfast is above average for the price range. The location is great (if a little noisy). But the service is amazing. The staff are congenial and helpful. And the internet is pretty good to boot.
Perfect location, friendly staff
Close to everything - very helpful staff. Great breakfast. The only drawback was the slight lack of water pressure in the shower. Apart from that it was great. Reasonably priced.
Nice view
Good breakfast, helpful staff and nice view of the cathedral!
The location of the hotel is right by Cathedral. It was so noisy till 1am and we couldn't sleep. On top of the noise, the elevator doesn't work, we have to carry our luggage to 6th fl, it was not pleasant stay at all.
Oasis in the middle of La Paz
Great hotel. Great room. Helpful staff except for the guy who checked is out. Highly recommended!
Nice hotel in the center of Puno
Nice room, great location, heating in the room, complimentary shampoo. No hairdryer. Tasteful breakfast and super-helpful staff.
best hotel in this category
Room is spacious with a living room and small fridge. Bathroom is modern. Breakfast is a real continental one. I was suffering mountain sickness in Puno so I have to stay in the room for the whole day and the comfort of the room helped a lot. The staff was great, special thanks to William, Dany and Carmen. room has a nice view of the mountain.
Hotel in a good location but updating is needed
Hotel is in a convenient location. Hotel needs updating. The bathroom appeared to have just been updated and was very nice but the carpet and bedspread need to be changed immediately because of stains. There was also a very soiled chair in the room. The staff was nice and the breakfast was good.
Worn hotel
Hotel and room were quite worn but town is not the best and the location was good. Staff was very helpful.
good location
Was looking forward to a bath and was unable to have one due to no plug and the tap didn't work only the shower. Apart from that not a bad Stay.
Don't count on the "free parking."
This is a very basic hotel in a great location. I booked it because if the free parking but that was a fiasco. They have one space in a garage that is very narrow and on a steep downhill slope. The good- tt is attached to the hotel and very secure. The bad- I parked in it and at 9:30pm, after I was asleep, the front desk called me to ask if they could have my car keys to move our car and try to fit in a second car. They made me come down to reception where I argued with them that only one car fit in the spot and that was a stretch. When I had checked in they hadn't at first offered the free space- only when I insisted that it was on their website. So at 9:30pm I asked why the other car couldn't go to the pay parking they had initially offered me. Turns out it was closed already. Terrible experience with this, added to an already OK hotel at best, means I won't be recommending them.
Excellent location within Puno
A great feature about this hotel is that it is right down the street from the central plaza of Puno, so you will have ready access to everything within the downtown area.
Old hotel
The location is excellent but hotel is old and in need of some updates. We were a big group in 6 rooms and had a range of issues at one time or another - no hot water, no electricity, no heat, no shower curtain so the bathroom floods. The staff is helpful but the place felt like its falling apart.
Nice hotel but needs renovation.
Warm sunny rooms with big windows but old furniture. Bed and sheets were nice. However, the hotel is older, shower was old and the elevator did not work for our entire stay - two nights. Internet also failed most of the time. And the room service would not change my towels thought they were dirty - they would just put them on the bed so they dry up! Nice thing is the location and reception service was also good.
Great service wonderful accommodation. Very good English too got non Spanish people
Plaza de Armas, Lima Street,Lake Titicaca,
The Staff was really courteous, helpful and just wonderful. They assisted us with making taxi reservations, provided maps, suggested dining choices etc. The hotel's breakfast buffet was hearty and had great choices. We had dinner the evening before we left and the food was great; reasonably priced and huge servings not to mention delicious. I'd recommend this anytime. Showers/bathroom was clean had great water pressure. My room had a queen sized bed and with plenty of walking room left.
Central hotel
I only stayed 1 night. The hotel was clean although a little worn around the edges. Bathroom looked as if it had been recently renovated and was very clean however the tub was very high and could be difficult to get in and out of for some people. It was a spa tub and not that comfortable to stand in to shower. The breakfast was one of the better ones I have had in South America. Hotel staff were attentive.
Very helpful staff
We did not like Puno or the floating islands all that much - probably the only disappointing part of our trip. The hotel was very comfortable with a nice restaurant but we had to leave early due to a miners' strike. Danny at the front desk was very helpful in getting us information so we could leave and also contacting our hotel in Cusco to get us an earlier booking.
Good location and nice staff
Staff are really nice and hotel room is comfy and location is perfect for walking around the town.
Great location, good service
This hotel is right in the heart of Puno, making it a safe and easy place to stay. The staff was incredibly helpful and the supportive. The amenities could be somewhat improved (a shower curtain would be nice!). Other than that, great experience.
Smiles all round!
Well situated overlooking small plaza at the rear of the cathedral. Very welcoming reception staff, always smiling, always helpful. We had a room with a sunny sitting area overlooking the plaza (306). The bed was vast and very comfortable, the bathroom small but adequate with ample hot water. The buffet breakfast had enough variety to satisfy most appetites - standard fare of scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes, breads, cake, fruit, cereals, choice of hot and cold drinks. Would definitely stay here again if in Puno.
just so so
Staffs of the reception were real great, so kind and always ready to help. That was almost the only thing I liked about the hotel though. Bedding was not that clean, there was some starange ordor in the bathroom, and NO HOT WATER in the morning of my check out. They just told me to wait as I asked to fix it, but I could not take a shower unfortunately.
Very convenient location and price
Very helpful staff....excellent location and very affordable
Good central location
Well placed in central Puno, this hotel offers a warm welcome and good basic amenities. The hotel restaurant offers good food but is definitely lacking in ambience. However, there are many other restaurants within a three or four minute walk.
Great location
We were treated to an incredible fireworks display from our 5th floor window on New Years Eve! Staff was nice and helpful, breakfast good, but the eggs were runny. We could walk to many places and they called a good taxi for us when we needed to go farther.
Excellent surprise
Cheapest hotel on a long trip -was not expecting much. It helped that we were given one of the best rooms with a large balcony. Excellent service, acceptable breakfast, perfect location for centre of town.
good hotel and nice location
Great location
Well located hotel with comfortable room and nice breakfast
