Hotel has a late check in as much as it looks like a prestige hotel we left the hotel with a lot expectations service wise the hotels needs to focus on customer service

It took me 25 minutes to check into 3 rooms. When I walked up there was only one person ahead of me. This property has a restaurant on the lobby floor that has a buffet. The food is fabulous. The waitress was less than helpful. The locales knew the ins and outs of how to request items so we just did what they did. Our rooms were on the 2nd floor which they call the 1st floor🤔. On our second night, the live music was so loud I could hear the words of the songs not just the vibrations. The music was good but it didn’t finish until 1:15am. So I didn’t sleep well. The hotel is situated in front of a traffic light so traffic is heard until it slows down. The cleanliness of hotel was a three because it’s property cosmetic repairs. The maids were friendly, helpful with towels and working to clean the rooms.

Decepcionada. Bajo mucho la calidad del hotel. Me molesto que hize una reservacion hace 1 semana pedi con tiempo una habitacion especial lo cual no me asignaron y la recepcionasta que me atendio no tenia ni idea. No me senti bienvenida, solo tenia una toalla de baño, no tenia productos de aseo y para variar el aire no funcionaba. Los dueños anteriores eran mas atentos.

This hotel is perfect for a quick business trip to the US Consulate General for any Visa issuance meetings, interviews or requirements, as it is just a mile away. The Triskele restaurant serves up great dishes, and the hotel is clean, quiet and cozy.

This property has clean and safe parking area. The rooms are comfortable. A few tips for travelers unfamiliar with hotels constructed before 2015. It takes a few minutes for hot water to come to the showers. A few cups of water can be poured into the floor drains in the bathroom and shower floors to keep odor from coming out when the exhaust fan is operated.

Me gusto que a pesar de llegar antes de la hora del check-in, el staff nos permitio estar en el area general y hasta hizo acomodaciones para que nos entregaran nuestro cuarto antes de la hora esperada. Muy limpio, ordenado y tienen staff amable y responsivo. Gracias por una estancia comoda y por su hospitalidad. I liked that even though we arrived prior to check-in time, the staff allowed us to be in the lobby and even made accommodations so they could provide us our room before the time we expected. Very clean, in order, and attentive and friendly staff. Thank you for a comfortable stay and for your hospitality.

I have been using Hotel Colon Plaza for years. It is a nice hotel and parking is secure. The restaurant has excellent food and the bar is a quiet and enjoyable place to have a relaxing drink. The only problem was that there was no English Channels to watch the NEWS or movies. There used to have several channels with English shows and NEWS Channels.

Character of employees one was too young and insecure and the other was a older guy with issues that made us get out of our room with our stuff and made us go back.

The bed sheets had not been changed. I had to call the front desk to ask for them to please change the sheets.

Comfortable stay but...

We've stayed at this hotel before a few years back and it was fairly updated. This year it felt a bit musty and dirty. The carpets desperately need to be cleaned and the curtains haven't been changed in a while. Our towels were clean but they were full of stains. Over all we had a nice night but cleaning is a must for all carpets and curtains. The price was good but not enough for me to stay again if the hotel is not cleaned and updated.

I highly NOT recommend this hotel! It was super dirty, rooms stink. The check in took one hour. Rooms are very outdated. Carpet is nasty, AC does not work. Slept in a hot, stinky, and super dirty room. What a shame for the person who is running this business. Please stay else where. don’t fall for the pictures on the web.

Buen dia! El hotel muy bonito pero lamentablemente todo se escucha de una habitación a la otra, ya que tiene una puerta que colinda ambas habitaciones y x tal motivo no pudimos dormir nada en la noche.

A Restaurant With A Declining Hotel

I first stayed at this hotel in 2017. It was good and occasionally had minor issues but nothing too serious. Six years later it seems like they haven’t maintained it, haven’t really cleaned it. It’s starting to show it’s age. The beds are barely comfortable. Pillows as well. The rug, comforters, pillows are dirty, stained. The bed headboard had dust on it. The chair for the desk had a big stain on it. The easy chair was stained with a hole in the arm. The only thing that made the stay bearable was the restaurant staff, who did an acceptable job yet still didn’t seem too happy to be there at all. I don’t blame them, really. The food was the same as always. Pretty good, really. But overall, this place needs a makeover to bring it back up to the level where it once was. Unfortunately I can’t say I would stay there again until that happens. However I would return to the restaurant for breakfast.

Unfortunately I don’t know why I can keep staying in this hotel, being staying there for years but this last 4 times has been not good, this last stay , first they gave me a room that it was not clean at all, they change me to another room where the key room was not working, it used to be a nice hotel and good customer service.

Half of the bathroom lights were not working. Reported to front desk, took 2 days to get one of them working, reportedly had to replace wiring. The other light over sink never fixed. Again told front desk, they offered me another room. Since it was my last day, I declined and just made do. Other than that, everything was good. Have stayed here many times over the years and many of the staff still there and recognized me and asked how I was, always very friendly.

Carpets, curtains, and ventilation system need to be cleaned. Several stains on the carpet in both the hallways and in the room. Not sure if they were vacuumed before my stay. Great location.

I have stayed at Plaza Colon multiple times a year since it opened. This time I was disappointed, There was no body soap in the bathroom, only one glass I was told that there was a $20 pesos deposit for the glass and $10 peso charge for the plastic ones. There was a coffee pot with packages of coffee but no condiments for the coffee. I asked and was told there were none available. I reported to the receptionist that there was a water leak from the air condition and it was already causing damage to the wallpaper. I still like this hotel for the location and the security. The room was clean and the staff were very courteous! The restaurant as always excellent service and food.

This is the second time that I booked on this property of many times , but this last two my husband got there around 4:00pm and there were no rooms available or ready, it has happened two times.

The carpet filthy. The condition very bad and in need of serious upgrade. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is used for short on call visits.

When I arrived to the hotel I was informed that my room was clean and ready, this was not the case. I went to my room to find out that the Quilt had various white marks of unknown origin, the headrest had hand prints in it and a dark stain under the desk's glass cover. I asked for a change of bedsheets which was provided partially, I found out when I came back to the room that the sheets were full of hairs and there was a stained ring in the middle of it all. When I asked the front desk clerk about this, he seemed as he could not care any less, went to another hotel after

A/C in the room was not working properly. Pool was nasty and the pool area needs so much attention. Sheets in my room were not changed to clean sheets, so I left the hotel. Looks like the hotel had good days, but now needs a make over and cleaning.

When I check in and got my room, housekeeping wasn’t done, they change our room, and then the air condition wasn’t that good but we didn’t want to change room again, so we stayed

Stay was okay at best.

It looks nice but the beds were uncomfortable, the water took forever to get warm when I tried to shower in the morning but the restaurant is great. I don’t think I would stay again for the night but I will go back For Triskel restaurant.

We celebrated our parents 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner celebration (dinner and dancing) in their reception hall and it was amazing. We had family occupying rooms on the second floor, we were there Friday to Sunday. The hotel staff and the accommodations for the reception hall made the entire event so beautiful for my parents and all our guests. We cannot express how much it matters, when you have hotel staff and service that excels as they did, we had an amazing time breakfast on Saturday morning was on point, the staff did amazing. Thank you!

I love this hotel the staff is very friendly, however lately the beds have not been that clean. They need to do bette in that aspect.

Dirty bathroom, poor service!

No soap, heater does not work, 1:30 am water coming from ceiling so we move to the other bed and after reported vacuum machines working upstairs to clean the mess. No way to go back again

The smell off the room was terrible , also there were not remote for the TV, and the front desk staff was late on his shift and I had to wait for him as there where no one else to cover and give me the room , not to mention that the security guard first told me that they don’t have rooms available and it was almost midnight, the overall service and hotel conditions are poor

Shower had women’s hair accessories,,,along with a used shampoo bottle. Other than that everything was great

I have been staying at this property for the last 3-4 years and have watched it declined year by year. Every time I stay I am put in a room with dirty/stained floors which makes me feel dirty while being there. They use to keep coffee pots in the room as a complimentary service but now I have to get up, go down stairs to purchase it from the restaurant. The drawers of the dresser were broken and stayed out and wouldn't go back in. Not sure if I'll be staying there anymore.

Lack of hot water was a problem but otherwise it was fine. Mattress was very comfortable! The room was clean but it is starting to show wear and tear from using. The hallway’s carpet is also showing wear. It is still a comfortable place to stay with easy access to shopping areas.

I had a good time staying here. The place itself could use a little love, the bed sheets are in desperate need of replacement, but other than that, the staff was friendly the pool was excellent, and resturant/bar was delicious. I'd stay here again.
