Amazing location, staff were very nice and helpful, the property was very clean and impressive. I absolutely will come back the next time I’m in Barcelona.

Nice BUT carfefull what they charge!!!!

Very small rooms, porly decorated. The hotels is not bad, breakfast is a more than beautfil BUT be carefull what they charge you. We stayed 3 nights and 2 mornings we also had breakfast. we Check out at 3 am the 3rd day so we could not enjoy the breakfast. We asked for a lunch box, they say they dont do that. They still charged the breakfast even if we did not attend. We explain the situation by email and they refuse to refund .... a very disapointing !

We stayed in this hotel 2 years ago and booked again for this year. The employees are beyond helpful.

The property is ok parking is very inconvenient they rent others and to get out or in the parking employee have to take u and that is inconvenient

Our stay at Hotel Ciutadella was exceptional. The staff was always available and extremely helpful with suggestions for our daily plans and transportation needs. The rooms are clean and provide everything needed for a comfortable stay. Location is central to all of the main attractions but not in the busiest area which provided pretty quiet evenings. I recommend this location to anyone visiting the Barcelona area. Great, friendly staff and nice clean rooms!

The staff there was really rude. They really dont want to accommodate you. I had reservations for 1 room and the guy wanted to rip me off for a second room because I had a last minute add on. I ended up leaving and going to another hotel where i didnt mind paying because they were much nicer to me. Totally a crazy experience. Its about customer service and this place did not believe in that!

An excellent hotel that is steps away from the Gothic Quarter and lots more. Very clean hotel as well and gorgeous too.

Picturesque and Convenient

This hotel is situated in the middle of everything. It’s surrounded by delicious cafes and within walking distance of the marina, the beach and the Gothic Quarter. The large windows that open to allow in fresh air are also a nice touch. I’d definitely stay here again when visiting Barcelona.

Awesome hotel and staff

Great hotel close to many things within walking distance. It is on a main road but was quiet at night so sleeping was good. Breakfast was awesome. Lots of choices from pastry to eggs and bacon. Staff very friendly and helpful

Amazing Staff!!!

The Hotel staff is just amazing!!!! We have had an emergency situation with hospitalization of my son and for more than 2 weeks the staff did its best to support me in any issue. All of them were so helpful, responsive and caring, but I have to single out Marco who was on duty on the night we called the ambulance, he was so helpful and even offered to leave his duty and come with us to the hospital. The support of the staff went even further when we moved to another hotel , as Ciutadella was fully booked at that time, they helped me to move my luggage to the other hotel, as well as brought some of the stuff I left in the room to the lobby of my new hotel. Just unbelievably kind ! THANK ALL !!!

Great location (next to train station and close to Metro). You can walk to a lot of places. Great breakfast.

The room is actually better than what is shown on the website. Room is clean, quiet, but small. Only complain I had was that the key to the sfaw box could not be found, so I could not use it, only for our room. But I would recommend it and would return if I ever go back to Barcelona again

Clean modern centrally located hotel with friendly staff

The location is everything for this place. We were there end of October/ early November- they did not provide AC, for some maybe it would work, for me it was way too hot, opening the doors was too noisy. The water leaked in the bathroom, we were told it was fixed- it wasn’t. The front desk were reasonably helpful. Again, the price is for the location, beautiful places at walkable distance and so is the metro station which is amazing.

Located right next to The França train station and within a few hundred meters from Park Ciutadella, this was a wonderfully convenient hotel. The tall ceilings made the room feel very airy and the staff was wonderful. It is so close to everything and a great base for any jaunts into the city.

It was great being centrally located and next to the train station, made it super easy to get out of the city to explore the smaller towns outside of Barcelona!

Convenient hotel in Gotic Quarter, Barcelona

Nice area and can walk to many of the areas where the main buildings of interested are located. Also, short walk to the main park, Ciutadella Park, and the Port of Barcelona where harbour tours are located. This is also close to where the cruise ships arrive and depart. Hotel is also located within a short walk of the Hop On Hop Off buses and subway system. Any city buses are all over this area. Nextdoor to one of the main train stations too.

High ceiling hotel. Across from Paradiso. But the staff that checked us in didn’t really share much info about the room or the facilities. Rooms can definitely use an update, especially for the price we are paying.

Amazing service and perfect location! Booked this place last minute for my mother and she loved it! Her first time traveling solo, so she was nervous. They were kind and accommodating in the check in, helped her with her inquires. We included the breakfast and she said it was phenomenal, the food was great and had many options. Definitely recommend this location, especially if its your first time in Barcelona and you want to go sight seeing, everything is so close by.

This hotel met our needs perfectly. Clean— great location —near metro if needed— 15 min walk to beach —15 min walk to las Ramblas and bouqueria. Rooms nice size. Large windows. Air conditioning works well ( leave key card in power slot for AC and lights. Front desk ( Albert) very friendly and helpful! Greeted us early morning for our arrival with a smile! We were able to check in early. I’d recommend this great hotel in gothic quarter for sure. There’s breakfast ( a great buffet) for 12 euro/ day if you want

Nice hotel in a convenient neighborhoods. 10-15 minute walk to the beach and next to a train station. It would be nice if they offered towels for beach use and they provided kleenex in a very small travel pack that was never replenished over 4 nights. Overall, I'd recommend it.

un hotel bien ubicado, puedes ir caminando a muchos lugares y la estacion del metro queda muy cerca, hay restaurantes y la catedral del mar a muy cerca tambien, lo unico que no me gusto es que la habitacion es muy obscura, aunque estaba limpia y era amplia.

On a main street bit adjacent to el born and all the great attractions of Old Barcelona. Taxi stand and trains a few steps away. Very helpful staff! Excellent buffet breakfast with many options for only 10 euros. Great restaurants very nearby as well.

Amazing

The hotel is in the middle of an historic area. The taxes are very high. The staff was helpful. However, I expected to have a facility to make tea in the room which was not available. I suspect that during a busy season the service will deteriorate.

The staff were really helpful. The car park is a few minutes walk away not actually at the hotel which may not please some but we parked outside the hotel to unload first. The inconvenient thing about the parking is that a hotel employee has to accompany you to the car park which means if you forget something, which we did, they have to come out again! The blackout curtains were incredible and we had no idea the sun was shining outside at 9am as it was totally dark inside. Great! Very comfortable bed.

This hotel is excellent. Great location and easy access to many tourist places. The breakfast is the most worthy thing and we all love the buffet type Spanish breakfast. Although it is located right by a busy street, the room is quiet and comfy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel!

Room was not as described at all. Far divorced from the picture Staff were some nice and some Just ok. One day after they made the room, the pillows smelled really bad. I asked them to change them. They only gave us one pillow 20 min later. Location is great but I wouldn’t stay there again

This was very disappointing. It was hot in the entire building, the wifi is slow/poor connection, the walls are paper thin, the beds are flimsy/uncomfortable/very soft. Complaints all around. Will not be returning to this hotel. Do not recommend.

Wonderful location by The Born neighborhood and a 10 minute walk from the beach. Clean and quiet with excellent beds and AC. It’s too bad there is no bar in the hotel but there are many all around. The rooms are not generously sized but typical for Europe. Staff was very helpful and kind. This is our second stay.

Ok experience overall but room was pretty small for the (not low) price.

We arrived in Barcelona from Paris by highspeed train. The Barcelona Sants station required a taxi transfer to this hotel. The property itself is very nice with warm and welcoming staff. They made the room very comfortable for 3 travellers. The bathrooms were very modern and quite large.

I had several questions for the front desk during my stay. They were extremely helpful. The hotel has a great gym and is perfectly situated. Close to train, beach, dining, and my favorite, Hidden Coffee!

Next to the train station estacio franca and so it was easy to get to from the main train station in Barcelona. Also a short walk to the born area where there is some great restaurants.

It is clean but super sterile no charm nothing exciting. Everything is grey and boring. Neighboor sucks a bit.

DO NOT STEP IN THIS HOTEL. no slippers. Dirty bed sheets. The bathroom was full of hair. No drinking/bottled water provided. Towel was like sand paper. Only one blanket. And list continues...

the slowest check-in I have ever experienced, worthless internet and so so breakfast. The thermostat in our room was not working and their way of fixing it was to turn off the whole system. There was absolutely no air or ventilation in the room to breath.

I love the location, right in the middle of everything, including transportation by buses or metro , just steps away, walking distance to major attractions, the breakfast buffet is very good. I liked the lobby and modern look and feel. It's very metropolitan and elegant looking. However, there are few amenities and the twin beds we've received were extremely uncomfortable to sleep in. The corners droop down and really provide bad sleep. Both of the beds and pillow can use an update. After a long flight, you just want to be able to sleep comfortably and this isn't necessarily the best hotel for. It was all looks.

Location was within walking distance to the ceach, gothic quarter, Ramblas and our favorite coffee shops. Close to our tour pick ups. Would definitely stay there again

Schöne Unterkunft, nahe Barcelona‘s Gassen und Restaurants!

The location was perfect, close to the pier and beach, close to the restaurants - about 10 minutes each direction. It was nice to be in a quiet area. The rooms had extremely high ceilings and a balcony which was beautiful. The dark maroon linens are a bit dated. The WiFi didn’t work the whole stay we were there. When we asked the reception they said they know and someone will look at it - no one did. We say other guests ask and they had the audacity to have them check their phones and have them resign in - this was rude since they clearly knew there was a WiFi issue. Overall our stay was good. The rooms were clean and the location was perfect if you don’t want to be in the center of busy tourists but still close by to get to all the great restaurants.

Maid service poor, and guest management not good

The maid service on this visit was not very good at all. I stayed 5 nights, and the toiletries were not refreshed on 3 of the five nights. I had to request replenished water bottles but then gave up asking. Also, there was significant noise pollution from other guests, which on one night, included smoking drugs in one of the rooms. Management seemed unwilling to step in to resolve until after the guests had left.

Likes Very nice modern room. Very friendly reception. Dislikes No airport shuttle service Poor internet service My slippers disappeared when we had returned to our room at the end of the day. I looked everywhere for them. Under the bed, in the closet, totally redid my suitcase, and still no slippers. I mentioned it to the front desk the next morning and mysterious my slippers were reappeared next to my bed upon arrival the next day. Hummmmm

Short stay in Barcelona

We throughly enjoyed our stay. Great location and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Although we were right on the main road, we couldn’t hear the road.

Good if you don't need anything, but I need to call US and no one bothered to fix the phone for a week. It's ok place, but you are on your own. Tipping doesn't help to get service. I stayed for 7 days, on 4 of them i had to ask to clean my room even though I put a sign on. Wifi on and off. Most of stuff speak poor English. But over all clean, good location and spacious rooms.

It's a hotel pretending to be a 4 star

Location was excellent! Bathroom not as clean as I would have liked and hairdryer not very good. Other than that we had a great experience and would definitely go back! Oh and the beds were super comfy which was perfect after a long day!

Location good. Check in /out, taxi ordering good. Air con didn't work and tried a different room with same problem, no other rooms available so had to open windows and be woken by traffic, bin lorries etc. Maintaince people not available (not good enough, and no offer of discount)

Leaking water from shower door. Could not keep the bathroom neat and dry. The third bed is right next to the bathroom. Uncomfortable sleep. Paper thin walls. Noise from next door or upstairs. Great location. Walking distance to nice restaurant, beach, marina, Ramble and shopping.

Larger mirror in the bedroom would help.................
