Nice place central location

VERY clean hotel! I was very satisfied with my room and the check in process. The staff are very friendly and helpful! The breakfast buffet has many great options. The old town and many other popular areas are within walking distance (about 15-20 minutes). I had dinner one evening in the hotel restaurant, the food was amazing and there was a new waiter (I didn’t get his name but he said he was there for 2 weeks) was so nice! We had an interesting conversation about Romania while waiting for my food, so I want to give a shout-out to him! Overall, amazing experience, I had an amazing time and I really recommend staying at this hotel!

Nice location close to market, cafes and restaurants. The hotel was clean and tidy, room and beds comfortable. Would gladly stay again

Good hotel poor lifts

As usual in former USSR countries lifts incredibly small and one of two out of action nearly the whole week, causing mayhem. Suggest management find a better lift company to service their lifts and maintain continuous service or install new lifts.

I loved how clean the room was ! 😍

It was good condition hotel and hospitality expert staffing.Felt welcomed at any expect. Way to go. Surrounding area not near by to section one attractions and restaurants, bar etc. Need to consider Uber rides or bolt .

The staff was gracious and very helpful. The location was central and yet quiet.

Just an average stay

The hotel is just average. The restaurant was not open in the afternoon as it was supposed to be. Rooms are a luttle on the small size but it met our needs of a place to sleep for 2 nights. Breakfast was a little on the expensive side and the food was just "ok". Overall our stay was ok...nothing really bad nor outstanding. All of the workers we encountered were nice and helpful.

A pleasant room, very clean and comfortable.

Amazing hotel. Amazing staff. Approximately 3/4 of a mile or one kilometer from old town. I like to walk so it was no problem. Uber always available.

Mixed Feelings

Mixed feelings about hotel. The room was clean, the sleep probably the best I’ve had. Breakfast was interesting as it’s brought to room due to COVID-19 so full English and coffee always stone cold which kinda defeats purpose. Maids could do more as had to ask reception for loo roll which is embarrassing in a 4 star hotel. Fire alarm went off but just left standing outside as in was never told it was safe to re enter but that could be because only 2 of us left hotel when alarm went off as male receptionist had no clue. Female receptionists were all warm, helpful. Would I stay again ? Yes but not during COVID-19 I’d like to get the proper experience next time.

Overall the stay was pleasant, however the cleaning service stole my card that was left in the room while I was gone. They've returned it after I've contacted with the reception, however with no apologies whatsoever...

Taxi didn't turn up as promised at the airport--4am Said there was no record of booking and it was too late to order another taxi. Leaving us to try and hire a car at 4.30 in the morning. Indifferent staff argued that we hadn't paid for breakfast when we had.. Then never apologised for the mistake. Lots of questions why ,when I asked for an extra pillow. Cancelled door card 3 hrs before check out. Then tried to charge for the taxi suddenly they found in the booking.

Staff was incredibly helpful. Location was decent, not to far from the old town. Room were good size and clean but coffee and tea were not refilled. Would recommend staying here.

The location was within walking distance of all important sites but I would be reluctant to walk back to the hotel at night.

Poor service.

Air conditioner didn’t work. It was a hot night. All they could do was to open the window. Generally service is subpar. I would avoid this hotel in future.

The location is excellent. 10-15 mins walking to old town and Plaza Unirii. Plenty of restaurants and shopping malls nearby. Absolutely quiet neighborhood. Staff are friendly. Room standard and clean. Wifi is very fast.

Good hotel. Tea and coffee facilities in room. Although had to ask for coffee to be refilled. Laminate flooring in room showed if floor had been cleaned or not. Not bad position to old town & presidential palace.

Hotel was absolutely spot on, for price it’s quite reasonable, the service from the hotel staff was top notch, could not fault at all, location isn’t too far from the old town

This was a great place to stay in a central location. The customer service was exceptional and I really like the ambience of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

My room was next to a meeting room. There was a lot of noice and i pointed this out especially at 11 in the evening

The room was nice and the restaurant was good. The shower was hard to turn on without getting wet and the water went under the shower door and got the main floor wet. The neighborhood was blah and did not have much in walking distance.

Bucharest Weekend Getaway

NH Bucharest was an excellent facility with spacious and clean rooms. The staff was professional and very helpful to make sure their guests get the most from their stay. The hotel was located in a quiet area, but still was very accessible to restaurants, public transit, and tourist sights. Would highly recommend this property.

Good stay

Fine stay. Nothing wrong with the hotel pretty perfect to be honest. Shower fine, I just wish the beds weren’t two singles pushed together. 15min into the old town.

The property is in a quiet part of Bucharest and has nice big rooms. The only negative was that the shower needed a bit of maintenance, but this was only minor.

The staff were AMAZING!!! They would remember your preferred cafe at breakfast, were friendly and so helpful. The breakfast is well worth it. The selection was grand, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, sautéed mushrooms, grilled peppers, fresh fruit, yogurt, gluten free options.

Nice stay

The hotel is nice, not far from the centre. The bed is great, there are tea/cofee facilities in the room. It's too hot in the room, the air conditioner only heats and the window isn't enough. (We stayed on February) The staff was helpful but when we asked for extra towels, we were asked to return first the previous ones. (It was a little shocking for a 4 star hotel)

5 minutes from the metro. good wifi and great breakfast very nice staff, we arrive in the morning and the room was ready.

The room was modern furnished and very clean, however the mattress and pillows wasn't comfortable, couldn't get good rest

Quick stop in Bucharest

Very pleasant stay. Room was spotless. Staff were very efficient and friendly. Would recommend it.

Not bad, but not great either. Toilet hard hard water stains, shower linoleum was peeling.

Comfortable room, lovely shower. Shame cups and glasses were dirty and surfaces in the bathroom could have had a little more cleaning attention paid. Overall pleasant and comfortable stay.

Lovely hotel, our room was very clean, staff very friendly and when asked give us great information.. we didn't eat of drink at the hotel so can't comment on food.. we had a lovely stay.. just don't follow google maps on iPhone and ensure you have your passport with you if you want to enter to do tour of the Parlament buildings

Clean place,friendly stuff,the room was extremely hot and the entire hotel did not have A/C,only heating!!!! I changed rooms but it did not help the situation! Extremely uncomfortable!.

Great value for money with very nice large rooms and helpful staff. Very close to old town Bucharest which is either a 10minute walk or a short taxi ride away.

Staff were nice and helpfull especially when i arrived october 12 at noon very friendly and polite employee though she is too young .about the breakfast its very expensive and nothing to mention comparing with the breakfast i had i nh berlaymont bruxells that why i didn't have breakfast in nh Bucharest. One other issue they have a door mat at the front door of the hotel that is damaged two nights ago i could have fell down and hit the entrance door i informed the front office about it beside the front entrance of the hotel is not lighted

Friendly staff always ready to help especially when i arrived she switched my room and 7th at night i came back to the property the girl she was in charged she came and was waiting to helped though i asked her to test but shr stood up till o left .very polite woman thanks a lot

Nice hotel, a bit disappointed with lack of e-mail communication regarding airport transfers which to be honest worked out in our favour. A hotel transfer would have cost us (6 people) over £100 where as a local taxi (2 cabs) cost £20 total !! I must say Andrea the receptionist recognised me from over 18 months ago and she is a gem working at the hotel. Definitely would stay there again

Very nice hotel, free parking, comfortable beds, good breakfast, 10 minute walking to old town. Went with the family, took a double room for us and a triple room for the kids. the rooms were modern and very big. The only problem we had was with getting a blanket to one of our kids in the triple room. had to call the reception 3 times. beside that all was great. very recommended.

Not well maintained

Hotel is not well maintained - baths and rooms have peeling walls, bath door bottom is soaked with water and peeling.

Spanish Hotel in Romania

This hotel is what you'd expect being right in the middle of a city. My stay here was pleasant my only let down is when I got stood up by the girl at the reception. Oh and another thing I don't know if this is common in continental hotels with air con systems. But I noticed that even though I was in a non smoking room I could smell smoke emanating through my room via the aircon system which wasn't very nice early in the morning.

This is a very modern and clean hotel. The staff was very friendly and there is parking which I guess is really important in Bucharest. The rooms are nicely decorated and overall I really enjoyed this hotel. My only complaint is that it is about a 17 minute walk to the old town, but that is not the hotel's fault.

False Advertisement, Bait and Switch, STAY AWAY!!!

I did not receive the services I paid for. This hotel describes Standard room as having “one double bed or two twin beds “ however in reality they only have two beds. This is false advertisement because the standard room does NOT have one double bed. I ordered a standard room with one double bed, and when arrived at room I saw two beds pushed together each having a blanket. Since the beds have wheels on a slippery floor, As I sat in the middle both beds split apart and I fell in the floor. The manager, who was very rude, told me the hotel does NOT have one double bed for standard rooms!! (All other hotels in this world I visited have one double bed for standard rooms) She said if I want one double bed then I need to pay extra money and get the superior room. Nice bait and switch. This is one of the reasons Romania is not a nice place to visit because you don’t get what you pay for. Then they try to rip you off more money. Stay away, don’t be fooled. I called my bank and will get my money back. Will be filing formal complaints against this hotel.

LOVELY HOTEL.

Lovely modern hotel. Clean and nicely decorated rooms. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Nice bathroom - nice toiletries. Great food in restaurant. 5-mins taxi to old town.

The online pictures make the hotel look very new. However, the hotel is old, the furniture is ancient, the bathroom door was rotten at the bottom. The staff, however, was friendly and the breakfast was very good.

Modern hotel very near Old Town

Great hotel 10 mins walk from old town, Choral Temple synagogue n Unirii Square. Walkable to Parliament Palace. Modern, clean, stylish and very quiet. Hotel faces main road which gets busy and some noise can be heard if you are a light sleeper like me but sound proofed windows are good. I got a room on side street n it was perfectly quiet. Room comfortable, as was bed, wifi n shower excellent. Restaurant was higher prices than most similar high street restaurants but service was great with excellent English speaking waiting staff and food was particularly good so I ate there every night rather than taxi travel to n fro for eve meal as no local restaurants. Reception very helpful n organised my taxis, tour, boarding pass printing, with no issues at all, very efficiently. Small bar in reception area not always manned but reception will call the waiter for you if not. Breakfast was very good with a great choice and good to have it available until 11am. There was sometimes a security guard at lobby door in eve dressed like a riot policeman which seemed strange but presumably it keeps the place safe but I never felt unsafe in the area, even at night wandering back. I would definitely recommend this hotel as it ticked all the boxes for me and for the price I paid made it very good value. I would return again if I was ever in Bucharest.

Nice hotel not far from old town

Nice and modern hotel in a walking distance to the sinagog, mall and old town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast (16-19 Euro p.p) not included in the room price.

Short stay in a very modern, stylish hotel Late arrival no problem, staff quickly helped solve issue with safe and provided lots of assistance and advice in answer to my questions. Would definitely use again.

Great service but not clean

Great Customer service but changed room twice and the shower was moldy and the ceiling in the toilet was leaking.

Not as described

I've booked superior room that was described as room with double bed and 2 twin beds so I understood that it is a big room. The room was small and can be defined as standard room in comparing to other hotels I previously booked. The ladies at the reception wasn't very nice and it seams that every question or help we've asked for was a heavy load. The room was booked for 2 but although that we had only 1 blanket and 1 bathrobe, that we didn't receive till the last day although we asked twice. It is not recommended for travelers as it too far from the main attractions at the old town of Bucharest.

Comfortable hotel in a central location, close to Boulevard Unirii and 13 min. walk away from the Unirii square M1 line underground station. Nice rooms with views of the city.

on one hand, the hotel isn't located in a main road and on the outside it doesn't look that fancy. inside, things look confortable and clean. rooms are very comfortable and pleasent to stay in. the hotel is located about 10 minutes walk from the center so that was pretty good. several things did upset me though: 1. the elevator is extremely slow and the fan was allways powered off so the ride to our room (8th floor) wasn't so enjoyable... 2. in the showerm the soap + shampoo are located on the floor since there is no shelf for them. 3. the faucet in the sink is too short and wasn't very comfortable to use when attepmting to wash my hands... overall, i would recomend this hotel but these few monir things could have turned my review from god to excellent.

Bad experience

We booked 2 superior rooms for 4 nights in the first week of September at NH Bucharest. However, when we arrived one of our room was downgraded to a standard room. The receptionist told us that the hotel is fully booked. We were mad because we paid extra to be upgraded to superior room. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the room is very bad. The bed sheets were dirty and the pillowcase looked like there were some blood stains on it. The location is not the best either as there were no restaurants or grocery store in the vicinity of the hotel. For sure I will not go back to this hotel.

good business hotel near the center

The hotel is relative small (less than a dozen rooms per small) but with decent in room facilities (100 TV channels, nice shower, etc.) very engaging staff. didn't do breakfast (at 18 Euro it seemed expensive) or use the facilities or explore the area since it was just a quick overnight and then on to the airport. I had asked for a double (and, in fact, reserved a category higher in order to get in) but was given a twin which was a bit of a hassle but the hotel was full, so I understand that someone probably had to get something less than desirable. If I had know I was going to get a twin, I definitely would not have paid the extra Euro to move to a superior room from a classic.

Very good service, the staff is extremly kind and helpful. The room was fine just feels a little bit old.

A quiet but conveniently central hotel

This is a comfortable, unpretentious hotel just around the corner from Uniris Square and Bucharest's old town. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful and reasonably efficient - a small thing but we never did get the shower cap requested three times.

Area not the best but everything else was good

It was good. Probably not the best area in Old Town though but still only 10 minutes away from the Universiti Square, just a bit quiet at night as there the surroundings were more apartment and so it gets a bit creepy walking back at night if you are alone. Breakfast was tasty. It had variety of breakfast and jelly and yoghurt and juices.
