English speaking helpful staff Great Breakfast. VERY QUIET at night and a excellent location .. 👌
Pleasantly surprised
Stayed here for 2 nights and was pleasantly surprised how nice it was seeing that it was a lot cheaper than other hotels. We had room 332 with a balcony and sea view. The room was very clean and we could not fault it. It was strange getting an actual key and key ring for the door but was no problem at all. The location was great and the staff were very nice and helpful. We would have no problem at all staying here again.
Description des lieux non conforme
Chambre tres petite et malgré que l'hotel.dit offrir climatisation, il n'y avait aucune climatisation dans l'hotel. On nous a dit qu'elle etait fermé pour l'hiver alors qu'il faist jusqu'a 26 dans les chambres.
The hotel is badly aged. The noise at night is awful. You can also hear people in the next rooms. No bar. No nothing. So badly needs a refresh
Great place
Amazing stay thank you
Great value for the price.
The hotel and staff were very nice. I wish the AC worked better, but that is somewhat common throughout Europe
Great staff, great location
The hotel was quite expensive for the quality but the location was great. It was calm and comfortable though. One of the staff wasn’t very nice to us but most of them were nice. It was close to the ocean but there was many stairs to go back and forth.
Great value.
Very quaint hotel with amazing staff!
Good hotel
Nice little hotel w/ friendly service
Le staff est très sympa. La chambre pour 3 personnes etait tres bien. A deux pas de monaco et du marché de beausoleil. Je recommande. La seule difficulté est le manque d emplacement de parking.
One step away from Monaco.
Great stay, nice hotel, downtown
Great location
Good and clean
Wonderful place to stay walking distance everywhere ! Loved it

Very cute convenient hotel. Excellent location. Clean rooms.
Very good hotel and price considering location
Great location, friendly service, room was nice and had no issues!
Friendly staff
Good premises for what you pay
Superb!
Staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay! Location is close to Monte Carlo casino and the beach! We will definitely book again!
I would highly recommend - staff excellent and room perfect. Will stay there again.
Very convenient location, specially because they have a public parking very close Great room, clean and staff friendly
Perfectly OK hotel for short business visit. Comfortable bed and clean room. Well soundproofed. Simple but adequate breakfast.
The location is fantastic, just a short walk down to the centre & a short walk along the road to lots of shops & facilities. Just like Monte Carlo, the hotel is very clean & tidy. We had a great balcony with a handy window shutter. Would definitely stay again
Back to the 70s, but without the charm…
The staff were friendly, the continental breakfast plentiful, and the room was clean and comfortable.
Sewage Smell
The room smelled of sewage. When we checked with the front desk, they said it was too late to call someone to fix the problem. So they gave us an air freshener and returned to our room. There wasn't a discount offered or anything even though we stayed in a very unpleasant-smelling room all night.
Property staff were helpful in navigating the area. Room was warm when we arrived, but was cooler when we returned after notifying the staff. Overall, pleased with this economy hotel for the area.
Amazing service and hospitality!!!
Staffs Someone Nice someone are nightmare
This was a really sunny room with a comfy bed, big bathroom, full desk, and friendly staff. Great location too!
The staff was very friendly and the hotel was nice for the price.
My wife and I were really pleased with our stay at Hotel Capitole, Nearby parking, and a great location to walk to the centre of Monte Carlo (about 7 minutes). Friendly, and helpful staff, clean and quiet. Great stay!
Great place
Very wellcoming. Nice place
Nice small hotel; exceptional value for location
Well located (couple hundred meters to cason; kilometer to train station), nice small hotel with a few small issues (not emptying trash when room was made up; no shuttle service to airport on Sunday without any mention of exclusion on reservation, web site). But for the price, good value. Should be noted that hotel is across from school, so if noise of children at play during weekdays bothers you (not me), might not be location for you.
Avoid it
Super rude ignorant and arrogant receptionist who wouldn’t help with anything. We had some issues with the WiFi and he didn’t wanted to help. The hotel is ugly and dated breakfast poor
AC did not work properly and most of the facility are rather old.
Worth the stay!
We came from the US and spent one night here. We dont understand the negative reviews about no parking. We parked at the train station because of the reviews, and had to walk 15 minutes to the hotel, only to find that the parking garage was next door (about 40 ft away). It was a Friday night and people were pulling in to the garage and parking--no reservations needed. The desk clerks were so friendly, and very helpful--giving us a city map and circling the bus stops for us. Our room was small, over-looking a s garden area, and was very clean, with a huge walk-in shower. We skipped the breakfast as recommended, by others. It wasnt very substantial. We would stay here again.
Worst experience ever
The a/c was not working. Called the front desk, they sent a maintenance guy who told me it was working and it wasn’t. I complained further and they said it was working - when I said it wasn’t, they told me I was wrong and wouldn’t do anything for me. I would highly recommend finding literally any hotel rather than this hotel. It’s a terrible place.
The AC didn’t work, front desk was rude, I couldn’t sleep
Clean and updated but not fancy
Very good location and decent for a one night stay. Nicely updated room w good AC. The rest of the hotel was lacking in charm. Didn’t have 2nd blanket for bed or coffee unless you purchase full breakfast.
Basic AF!
The hotel was overpriced for what you get, although that seems to be the trend in Monaco. Room was small..even for two people. Desk attendant during the day was not very helpful. We asked for restaurant recommendations and we were given bad recommendations and even worse directions. There was Noooooooooo hot water in the shower. And the thermostat didn’t work.
My friend and I needed a place to crash for a night in Monte Carlo. Perfect for what we paid for. Very easy access, great staff very very nice
Nice budget hotel close to Monaco's City center
Location is really good, about 5 minutes walk to Monte Carlo casino square. The hotel is situated in a nice neighborhood with a local market next door.
Nice little hotel. only problem was not getting hot water when I wanted to take a shower a couple of times
Great stay!
Good price and great location! Walking distance to everything in Monaco.
Close to restaurants and short walk to market, shopping, and Monte Carlo Casino.
Nice convenient hotel and good base from which to explore Monte Carlo by foot. Very short stay so didn't get to use the facilities but staff very helpful and room 'petite' but comfortable
a cozy hotel across the street from monaco
the place is clean and fine. nothing special about it, just a place to lay your head at the end of a day in Monaco. everything is in a walking distance. the staff was helpful.
Clean and correct room. You get what you pay for, definitely not a luxury hotel in any sense, could use some renovations but besides that everything went well and the staff was nice.
It’s very well centered, which makes it easy to get around since it’s extremely difficult to get a cab...which one tells you. The person working the front desk was one of the rudest and most unhelpful people I’ve ever met.
We like the location, close to the casinos, shopping and the beach.
Overrated overpriced DUMP
Overrated, overpriced dump!!! Horrible unprofessional uneducated unpleasent staff. Small room with even smaller bed. Wifi only possible for one person per time. Fridge doesnt work. We stayed in room 222
perfectly reasonable ( slightly old fashioned style ) hotel Good price for Monaco was able to park right outside which was a bonus
A/C was broken but fixed at instant. great stuff. Recommended
Good location close to the Casino but quiet. Rooms are small, a/c is so-so. Very helpful staff, Good value for the money.
Easy check-in, nice size room, convenient location to the casino area and restaurants.
Very good location close to everything.
Small hotel on good location walking distance to everything in Monte Carlo. Room was good very quiet with a balkony. Only think I wasn’t happy with is the breakfast. Absolutely no selection. But all together the hotel price with the good location is good. Don’t forget we are in Monte Carlo.
Nice hotel in Monte Carlo
A great location and a great price. I would come back to stay on my next visit
Good find
Great location for experiencing Monte Carlo. Short walk to Casino. The harbor is also an enjoyable walk.
Super weekend
Excellent location
Nice hotel, close to the Casino
The hotel was nice and the room was very clean. The wifi was annoying as you had to log in after each use and use a different code for each device. This would be something that you would find in a hostel, but not a 3-star hotel. We checked in early, which was nice, but it felt like we were a burden to the hotel staff as they were not very pleasant.
Great location
The hotel stay was comfortable. I was particularly pleased with the location. So close to Monaco, and the bust stop is close by too.
Fantastic Hotel
Located close to Monte Carlo Casino, local shops and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. Would book to stay here again.
Small and old, but affordable in Monaco
Nice small hotel, location good, straight up the hill from the casino, straight 10 min walk to train station. Helpful staff.
Fine
Guy at the front desk was helpful. Otherwise a fairly ordinary hotel.
not bad room near casino
Although, the hotel is situated in the Beausoliel area, it is actually only 5 minutes walk away from the main Casino. So the location, is very good, although the immediate area outside does not look all that great. The room itself was the accessbile room located on the ground floor. The entrance to the room was right next to the reception. So there was not much in the way of privacy, and sometimes you could hear noise from the reception outside. But this wasn't too bad. The room had an old fashioned key to open (not an electronic card), and the Hotel insists all guests return the key to reception, when leaving the hotel. Because the room was next to the desk, I was uncomfortably doing this, because it would be so easy for somebody on a shift to go into the room for whatever reason. Also I could not get the hotel safe to work. The room was much larger than I expected, and very clean. The bathroom was huge, because it was an accessible room (for disabled people). However, it had an open shower (no bath or cubicle) and as such it was almost impossible to stop the whole floor being flooded with water after a shower despite the drainage in place. They give you a rubber mop to sweep the water away, which although effective, got irrating and time consuming to use after ever shower. Apart from that, the bathoom was in very good condition. You don't get much of a view from the room (just a wall). WIFI and TV signal were very poor unfornately.
Good service & Good location
We book the parking service in advance and we arrive very late at night. We have problems on the entry machine of the parking lot. The hotel staff is very helpful and come down to help us. This hotel is clean and spacious. It is very near to city center and also located with a lots of shops nearby. Will definitely stay again.
A very nice well maintained hotel clean rooms
The hotel was clean and well maintained however number of issues with reception mix up over check out day and asked for early morning call for a flight call did not come asked reception number of times for a taxi they tried to call but could not order a taxi asked to settle bill one day before check out was due to to a error on reception desk
Worth the hunt.
Difficult to find without sat nav as the hotel is on a tiny no through road but it is definitely a worth while find. Great decor, spacious room and bathroom, friendly hostess, plenty for breakfast and quiet and peaceful.
Good hotel, close to everything.
The road outside is very narrow. We booked parking in the car park just before the hotel. For the price range everything was as if should be, perhaps the room was a little dated, but clean and in good condition.
Nice hotel
Great little hotel, location is perfect, 10 min walk to the Casino, nice and clean. No parking, so you will have to find it yourself.
Very good value and easy walk to the casino
Hotel was clean and the service was outstanding. Unfortunately the air conditioning did not work in our room so we left the windows open. The breakfast selection is limited but adequate.
Great value and location
Great location - close to Casino, Opera House, and fine dining. Also great neighborhood farmers market for browsing.
Capitole Idea!
Considering where you are, this hotel is ideal for a "cheaper" stay in Monaco. Staff were very helpful. Wifi wasnt particularly good, when it worked it was only useful for browsing.also seem to have a one device rule. Sadly this isn't enough for the average solo traveller, so a family would struggle. Bed was comfortable, and shower was good. There is a handy convinience store right around the corner, which is not obvious immediately.
Decent hotel for 1nite in Monaco
Located on the border of Monaco and France, Hotel Capitole is on top of the hill and a mid walk to the famous luxurious hotels and casino. A few restaurants are nearby. It is key to understand the locations of the public elevators in the city to minimize the uphill/downhill walking and steps. If you are driving, make sure to call the hotel front desk so that they can provide instructions on where to self park at the hotel's underground parking spot. It's not free but i believe it was totally worth it. I drove around for more than I wanted looking for parking. Front desk staff was extremely kind and helpful. The room itself was decent.
A Perfect Hotel for a Monaco or Monte Carlo visit.
Perfect Hotel for visiting Monaco and Monte Carlo, walk to everywhere and the staff are lovely, parking is a little tricky at first but soon gets sorted out. Really great stay and a fantastic, great value for money, Hotel. As for Monaco...we were left speechless !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice little Hotel outside town.
I liked my stay in the Hotel. English was no problem to the friendly staff. Unfortunately, the space between bed and bathroom is very narrow. On arrival I cut my leg twice on the leg of the bed - then I used a pillow to cushioning the sharp bed-leg corner. I stayed on a Sunday and could only find 1 restaurant (Vietnamese) after a long search. The Frech don't open on Sunday. Monaco and all its glamour is great to see, but one visit is fine - not a place I would spend a holiday.
The hotel was ok, relatively close to downtown. The only downside is the unstable bad internet. Both my laptop and phone keeps warning me that the network is unsafe and that I could be hacked.
Great Hotel
My family and I had a wonderful time. Favio was extremely helpful which made our stay in Monaco so pleasant. We definitely recommend this hotel.
Nice cozy hotel on the borderline of Monte Carlo
We had a short three nights stay at the Hotel Capitole but it was a very pleasant one. The hotel is very well located and close to all important places to visit in Monte Carlo. Nearby are nice small restaurants so having lunch or dinner is not a problem but a nice experience. The hotel staff was very friendly and obliging. Whatever requests we had, they solved smiling.I highly recommend this hotel to people who need a nice place to come back to, after visiting surroundings all day long.
Nice enough.
Overall a nice place to stay. I was not particularly wow'ed, but for the price it was nice enough. The only downside was that we arrived quite late and the checkin manager was a bit surly. Not rude, but certainly not friendly either. Could have just been a bad day I guess. Getting to the hotel is a bit tricky by car as there are lots of one-way streets, etc. By the way, the best place to park is the parking garage just downhill from the hotel.
Good
Quick 24 hour visit Been to Monte Carlo no need to return
Nice and excellent location
Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms and excellent location to stroll around Montecarlo.
8 days no complaints
No problems WiFi could have been better I suppose great value on Monaco doorstep.
nice hotel
Very nice hotel in a quiet area with a 15 minute walk to Monaco harbour. Stayed 2 nights but room was not cleaned between the days so no clean towels for the morning.Had breakfast on 1st morning and for the 10 euros i paid it was not worth it. overall it was i nice stay.
Great location and value.
Very positive experience. Very quiet at night and staff was very friendly and helpful. Well located near the place du casino....very pleasant experience.
Nice hotel
Nice and clean rooms. Loved the balcony. Great view! Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was ok. The up hill walk from the bus stop was a bit strenuous but didn't realize the area was as hilly and tiered as it was. Overall I would recommend this hotel, it was a positive stay.
Convenient Location
Stayed here two nights in September 2014. Very convenient to most Monte Carlo highlights as well as public transportation bus stops, etc. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Spacious room had all needed facilities. Would stay here again on future trips.
Great location
Excellent hotel which is walking distance from Monte Carlo without paying Monte Carlo hotel prices. Hotel staff extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here when returning to monaco .
average all around
Average...Vanilla as a world comes to mind
Good Location for hotel rate
Hotels in Monte Carlo are pricey and this hotel gives a reasonable rate for its location which is close to train station and the casino. We were disappointed with Monte Carlo area as there is not much to see other than the casino and not impressed with having to pay entrance fee to the casino which happens to be the only place of interest there. We are happy with the hotel stay and will stay there to visit other areas outside Monte Carlo.

Clean room
It's a simple hotel, nothing fancy, but well located. It's close to the casino and within walking distance. There are a few restaurants and shops nearby. The staff was friendly. I stayed in a room with a small, partial ocean view. The best thing is that the room was clean, which I always appreciate on my travels. The breakfast is very simple; don't expect anything hot, but if you're in a hurry and want something to eat before leaving, for 14 euros will get you something. The only drawback is that someone in a room near mine was smoking marijuana, and the smell lingered in my room. I'm allergic, and that bothered me a bit. But it's a hotel where you can stay with confidence. Monaco is a beautiful city, and I hope to return.
