Very comfortable, nicely appointed rooms. Daily water bottles, safe available in room, comfortable bed. Free drink coupon on arrival. Elegant lobby area. About 7 minute walk from train station / metro so convenient location. Lots of nice restaurants nearby. Very happy with my stay.
Lovely room with plenty of storage for your clothes etc. staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome. Very handy for the station and Metro.
Great location, staff is very friendly and helpful. Shout out to Arber for all his help. Hotel is clean and the breakfast is great.
Large room, bathroom and large bed
The hotel was fine until I went to sleep and they said in the lobby that there was no AC in the rooms , the temperature in late April was high during the day and 68 during the night , that’s hot even with the window open. I asked them why , and they said it’s like that in Rome , but I had stayed in a different hotel five days ago and there was AC. My toddler didn’t sleep sweating and crying and when asked for a fan that they had offered as a solution , it was full of dust and my children are very allergic to dust. I couldn’t use it. Also the smell in the room was not nice.
The perfect choice for Rome!
Helpful staff, great location, lovely hotel.
Good place to stay. Convenient.
The room was very clean and comfortable.
Everything about this hotel was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Clean, well located, comfortable beds and fantastic breakfast and brilliant staff. Nothing really to complain about.
Trip to Italy was delayed due to flight cancellations. As a result, I made reservations at Hotel Canada as our initial hotel did not have availability during our revised travel dates. So glad we stayed at Hotel Canada. Great location. Walkable to the Train Station and located in a quiet area. Our first night, there was a lot of noise in the courtyard; however that was not an issue during the remaining 5 nights. Service was great. Breakfast was also good with a nice variety of food to eat. I wish there was a fitness room. That is the only drawback for me. Otherwise, a great stay.
The staff here is wonderful! They go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. They have some rooms that have been renovated that are very nice. The older rooms look cute but are camped. They offer breakfast for $9 person at the hotel and it's a really good buffet.
Good location, very close from Roma Termini. The room where we stayed was too close to the street and there were a lot of noise in the early hours of the morning.
Beautiful property. Inside well maintained and quiet luxury. Outside undergoing renovation so a little loud in morning. Highly recommend
Stop looking now and book this hotel
This hotel was amazing. It was spotless. My room was spacious and comfortable. Their breakfast is incredible with numerous hot and cold offerings including fresh pastries that were absolutely delicious. All the staff were so warm, friendly and professional. It's a 5-minute walk to Termini and there are a number of reasonably-priced restaurants nearby. I can't recommend this hotel enough.
Great staff! Loved the room
We love the room we were in, the staff is amazingly communicative and kind. Great location, not far from Roma Termini and many restaurants/bars
Little Gem.
The cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in FACT. The woman in the front desk on the Saturday morning was lovely. Dead polite and helped us check in well ahead of the normal check in time. We will definitely return.
Everything was excellent
Beautiful boutique hotel. Nothing “Canadian” about this hotel except for the name. Staff were curious and very helpful providing information and transportation.
Hotel Canada
A lovely, well located hotel offering great value for money.
In general, we love our stay in this hotel. Very old style, close to the train station and breakfast amazing. Bad thing; the Expedia profile says that this property has AC. When we get there, we noticed that the AC was not working. Front desk told us that the AC was off during this time of the year, and suggested to open the window, which was weird for us. At the end, we enjoyed our stay but this at the beginning was terrible given some conditions our children has. Will call Expedia for sure, because I think they need to have this specific topic very clear in the property detail.
Although the hotel was close to bus and train there is very little around the hotel in the way of sights, restaurants and stores. 🏬
The property is very lovely. The room is beautiful. The staff was very courteous and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.
They didn't have Air conditioning pushing you to open the windows making your nights impossible to sleep well and rest.
Excellent hotel. Right beside the Metro stop and close to Termini station, 10 min walk. Also excellent breakfast with a great selection of food. Make sure to get breakfast included. Good selection of restaurants in walking distance.
Our room was beyond what I was expecting large clean & beautiful interior appropriate to Rome culture Breakfast included was top notch beautiful china cutlery
We always stay at Hotel Canada when in Rome. It’s gotten more expensive, but everything has. The property is very well kept up. The lobby is well appointed with ALWAYS helpful staff. The first room we were taken to disappointed me so much, for a deluxe, that I asked for a different room. We were promptly led to a room exactly like the beautiful one we had in 2022. This room was larger, traditionally decorated instead of modernly renovated, and had 2 lounge chairs for relaxing. They even lent us 2 glass wine glasses to use during our stay. One reason we book this hotel is for its fabulous breakfast. We always add it as an option since a croissant and coffee isn’t my idea of a filling breakfast. They serve a wide variety of foods, including the best pastries and choices of drinks. Eggs, bacon, breads, fruits, cheeses, meats, quiches, are always present. We also book it because the Castro metro stop is just 2 blocks away, there are good restaurants within walking distance and there’s a grocery store where you can get anything needed within 2 blocks. It’s perfectly located for when you come back exhausted. I can’t say enough good things about the staff. At the front desk, they help with luggage and give shopping and restaurant advice. Check in and out is fast and easy. Some of the same staff that help with luggage also work in the breakfast room, professionally and efficiently. Cleaning staff is efficient and they are friendly. I highly recommend Hotel Canada.
Amazing service and the location
We loved the staff how helpful and friendly they have been. It is amazing to see there are still places like that!
Nice quiet area of Rome close to the Roma Termini station and very walk-able to many attractions. Very nice dining options minutes away. Staff was great, especially the breakfast crew. Will stay here again next time in Rome.
It was our fourth stay at Hotel Canada over 5 years and even though the price went up, the hotel did not disappoint us. It’s a very good quality, well run, charming, place with period furnishings and has a feel of a boutique hotel.
The hotel is beautifully decorated and very close to the metro and only a few minutes walk from the main train and bus terminal of Rome. The staff were very nice and helpful and efficient. Our room was spacious and the cleaning staff were excellent. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel for exploring Rome. There are lots of dining options and cafes nearby too.
It was a beautiful property but we did not get the VIP benefits.
The cleanliness of this hotel was spectacular. The staff and front desk personnel were extremely friendly and always available for my needs. The morning breakfast exceeded expectations and the coffee was delicious. I want to thank the entire staff for making my trip to Rome so special.
Canadians Loved Hotel Canada
Our first time to Rome and this hotel was exceptional for all services. Our room was large and the bathroom was well laid out. Very clean and friendly staff. A bit of a walk to main area but it guarantees your steps for the day. We highly recommend Hotel Canada.
Feel like home
Staff good. Accommodations: basic.
Had a great sleep
We spent only a single night, but it was very comfortable and in a great location (only a 10 min walk from Roma Termini). We did not receive any perks for booking this VIP Access property through Hotels.com.
Fantastic staff, clean updated room. Desk personnel so friendly and helpful. Will recommend and will stay there again.
This is a small hotel near to Sapienza University. The room was clean and the staff were very nice and extremely helpful. Breakfast was lovely. It is possible to walk to all the important tourist sites
Loved it. Some staff were more helpful than others. Overall, we got what we needed. I found the lighting in the room difficult to read/see by. The opening windows with shutters were lovely for fresh air. Breakfast is fantastic!
It is wonderful. Hotel. They have upgraded elevator so even better. Very close to train station
Clean, great staff, good location
Small, quaint hotel. Room was very spacious with beautiful high ceilings and huge windows. Loved the bed and selection of pillows. Felt very Italian !
Friendly , fantastic location!
It was our 4th visit to this hotel. We always stay here because of the location and friendliness of all staff. We have no complaints. It is walkable to most attractions
The hotel is ~10min walk from the Rome Termini (central train station) and have many dining options within a short walk. The hotel staff are very professional and friendly, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast is awesome.
Great hotel for two people! We stayed here for a few days during our honeymoon and the staff here were very friendly and accommodating. The room was small, but didn’t feel to suffocating. The bathroom was pretty tiny but it worked! Wish it had a fridge so we could have some cold water before going out in 37 degree weather😂, but overall a great stay!
Beautiful staff and beautiful hotel. Breakfast was amazing with a very polished presentation.
This hotel in the middle of Rome is in short distance from Termini Station or Subway stop which helps a lot when you are travelling with a kid that is not used to walk so much yet. I was surprise that hotel asks you to always return key to the reception when you are leaving hotel. This did not happen to me maybe for 10 years. One more surprising thing for me was when I came to reception to ask for little bit of salt (I'm alergic and need to clean my nose with salty water 2 times a day) they eere ready to give me some, but inthe end there were three guys and I felt how they were joking about me in italian. That was not the best feeling. One more from the negative side was that lots of noise from room can be heard in the corridor
Clean, convenient, beautiful rooms
So nice we stayed there twice!
Long in the tooth, but great nonetheless!
The staff was more than helpful offering umbrellas and safekeeping the room keys. The room was very clean although the hardware are from decades ago. It was definitely comfortable and enjoyable to stay with decent sound insulation. There are a few restaurants within its proximity. The Termini station is within normal walking distance.
A very comfortable hotel within easy walking distance of the train station. The staff of the hotel are very warm and accommodating. Delicious breakfast!
Great place and location near all the attractions.
Very clean rooms. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Didn’t like the fact that I didn’t get any vip perks.
Really nice property with excellent service.. More Old British than Canadian but still great.. Just note that there is no A/C in the rooms and it was 38C (106F) outside which meant the room was extremely hot at night.. Tough to sleep in.
Great Accommodation
Hotel is a short walk away from the Rome's Central Terminal as well as a 2 minute walk from an underground station. The staff was more than friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Surely would stay at this location again.
Breakfast was excellent!
.
Lovely property but location is a bit dirty
Great location, and very friendly and helpful staff.
Walking distance to train station, very clean, it's old (because...Rome) but not at all run down, the elevator was being updated so the small elevator was a available, not for those who are claustrophobic but still really cool. You need to leave your key at the desk each time you leave the hotel and get it when you return, first time I've had that but in a way it's better, there is always someone at the desk 24/7 and you don't have to worry about keeping track of the key while you are out and about. By far the best breakfast at any hotel we stayed in throughout Italy! All staff were very nice and friendly, cute little bar/patio area to sit in the evenings, overall much nicer than what we expected for this price and locaion.
Lovely property convenient and close to all amenities
Hotel Canada - Rome
Absolutely beautiful accommodation and supper friendly staff. We had a problem at chalk out when our bank blocked our credit card for security reasons because of the name Hotel Canada in Rome
Amazing location, 10mins walk from station with plenty of eating and drinking options within walking distance. Staff are amazing and very helpful. Would definitely recommend and would stay again 👍
Would have been nice to have some air conditioning. The shower was interesting. Other than that it was fine for 1 night
The front desk was rather impersonal, they took our passports to check in but did not show any interest to tell us about the area and facilities in the hotel other than the breakfast room. The hotel is also not close to all main tourist attractions.
Convenient stay
Hotel was lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location convenient for central train station and for metro. Was expecting the renovations to be complete by our stay but they weren't, meaning the service lift had to be used which wasn't ideal. No obvious way to stop the cleaners come in each day unless you are in the room, so toiletries and and towels refreshed when not always needed, could be more eco friendly.
Just wonderful.
GREAT HOTEL NEAR TERMINI
Great hotel with superb breakfast, good location near Termini with a number of eating options close by. One minor issue is that the main lift is out of order due to renovations and the only available lift is a tiny historic lift which does not take even 1 person with 2 cases. This made the descent from the 5th floor difficult as there was no assistance available from the hotel. Would definitely return though
The stay was great but the only disadvantage is there are no elevator to bring up the suitcase. :(
Nothing bad to say about this hotel very clean hotel spotless super friendly stall old hotel but what an upgrade. They did. Recommend to anyone from Canada or abroad to check this place out. 5 minute walk to train station lots of good restaurants in walking distance. Two thumbs up from me
Property, specially the rooms are very dated and could use an update.
what a delightful place right in the middle of anyplace and anything you want/need the hotel is amazing, from check in to check out, clean, friendly staff, we would highly recommend
Last minute booking, highly recommended
Lot of wonderful character. Breakfast excellent.
Beautiful hotel with a great location.
This place was great, not too far, not too close to the center of the city.
Italian vacation
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We were leaving for a wedding in Slavakia and they let us leave a bag with them while we were away. Staff recommended a fantastic restaurant just down the street. Super great experience.
Friendly and professional staff. Nice property. Exceptionally clean. Awesome showers. Very comfortable bed and day bed.
Our room was lovely, friendly staff and very convenient to the train station.
Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast had variety, everything looked fresh. Rooms are comfortable, hotel is close to metro, train, pharmacy, and market!
An absolutely charming hotel! Our room was lovely, cool, spacious. Very close to Termini, great for the night before a flight. Breakfast was delicious and served in a lovely, bright dining room.
Un planned trip: We booked upon arrival at Rome. Location is perfect: close to metro and train station that bring a you pretty much everywhere quickly, and quiet area at night. Breakfast worth the 9€. Staff was very helpfull. At thé front desk, They all Spoke English and some French. We will be back!
We had a great stay here on a recent trip to Rome. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. It’s also close to a metro station which is convenient and many restaurants in walking distance. We definitely be back!
Great location, safe and quiet
This is a wonderful hotel near the train station and subway. Very friendly staff, great breakfast. Would stay here again.
Great for this price , very old time lift ,
Excellent service and good quality food
It had a great lobby and bar where you could meet and drink with other people. Staff were friendly.
Hotel Canada itself was a very good property. The lobby's furniture, if I had to pick one thing to improve upon, was a bit old, but it served it's purpose. The STAFF was INCREDIBLE! Each person at the front desk was incredibly responsive and helpful each time we approached them with a question. They were very kind and NEVER acted like we were bothering them (which we experienced in other places in Rome). The only other thing was the air conditioning in the room. It worked, but not well at all. The lift was in great working order. Mostly, BRAVO to the staff. They were absolutely top notch in all ways.
I love this hotel!! I have stayed twice in 4 years. Great location. Lovely property. Great staff
Very friendly staff
Fantastic property, service and friendly staff.
Really liked the vintage touches that were maintained! Really cool vintage elevator
I was very happy with the staff & our room I thought the costs were reasonable. I'd stay there again.
right next to a train station (didn't realize the first day). They should really promote that and make it clearer to the visitor.
We had a group of six couple staying here pre-cruise. The front desk staff were very engaging and efficient. The small bar area took care of all of our guest needs each afternoon and evening. We all stayed tonight and it was an easy walk to great restaurants. This is an older property but it was well-maintained the bedding was comfortable. We will recommend to other travel partners

The hotel facade is undergoing renovation, but we were not inconvenienced by noise or dust. The queen bed room was very nice with an amazingly beautiful full marble bathroom. The staff was terrific as was the complimentary breakfast.
