Outstanding hotel right next to the Cathedral

Such an exceptional experience. Outstanding hotel with a great breakfast and a lovely view. The staff were very kind and helpful. Our room was big and comfortable. The locations is perfect for sights, eating out and shopping. Also a very relaxing atmosphere. Going to visit again!

The property itself is adorable, however, no parking, you could be dropped off but only if you know the streets, my gps did not take us here(very small streets). Also, the restaurant is beautiful but the food does not match the environment.

The spa being small but private is a big plus. Also the restaurant has a beautiful view of the ocean. Service and staff are top notch.

Great holiday stay

Had an amazing stay at Calatrava. It's in a very good location with the beach and city centre within a 10-minute walk. It has a private spa with a jacuzzi, sauna, etc. The staff are very nice and welcoming and rooms and appliances are very modern. The bed is ultra comfortable. The restaurant is great with lovely views. The breakfast is fresh and amazing. The chefs are accomodating.

We loved our stay at calatrava. Its one of the most lovely hotels we have stayed in. Quiet and so relaxing. Staff are amazing so friendly and cant do enough for you but the best bit is the roof terrace incredible space with a beautiful view across the bay. Could spend hours taking in the view.

I recently had the most amazing experience at the hotel I booked through Expedia and I cannot stop raving about it. From start to finish, everything was perfect and exceeded all my expectations. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was greeted by the warm and friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The check-in process was smooth, and they even upgraded my room to a higher category, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort throughout my stay. The room itself was absolutely stunning. It was spacious, well-designed, and impeccably clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had the best sleep during my entire trip. The amenities provided were top-notch, including a mini-fridge, coffee maker, and a luxurious bathroom with high-quality toiletries. The attention to detail in the room was exceptional, and I truly felt pampered. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's restaurant. The food was simply outstanding. The menu offered a wide variety of options, and each dish was prepared with utmost care and attention. The flavors were exquisite, and the presentation was beautiful. Very pleasant, comfortable stay

We stayed, as a couple, in a sea view suite which was really pleasant - sizeable, lovely views, very comfortable sofa and huge bed. Ample space for clothes and a safe in the room. As seems to always be the case, more sockets would have been nice (everything needs plugged in to charge overnight these days). The minibar prices itself out of use (I appreciate they are always expensive and this is a ~£650/night room depending on when you book it, but I still value a 200ml bottle of beer at less than 6€). Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We didn't ask much of them, but I feel they would have went to any length to accommodate requests. Breakfast is pricey but lovely. It would maybe feel like better value if you were utilising the wine first thing in the morning... But the orange juice, which tasted freshy squeezed, was good enough for us. The location is excellent - right on the edge of the old part of town making the cathedral 10 minutes walk on top of the fort, everything else is ~15 minutes pleasant walk. Around 22€ for a taxi to / from the airport. On day of departure our flight wasn't until the evening, but made use of the shower room before we set off meaning we could have another essentially full day in Palma without travelling home in sweaty clothes. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend for a relaxing break.

The service was more than amazing. The staff was on top of everything and very personable. They remembered each guest and treated them like it was their own private villa. I have already recommended it to friends and family off the service alone. Breakfast was amazing and they even set up a taxi driver to stay with us for a whole day—bringing us around Deja and showing us little places we never would of known without a local. Simply amazing!

What an amazing stay my wife and I had at this hotel. It truly was worth the money. What really stood out for me was the service and hospitality of the staff. A special shout out to Teresa who went above and beyond to make not just our stay at the hotel amazing but our entire visit to Mallorca an awesome one. She constantly helped us with recommendations on where to go, how to go and what to do in order to make the most out of our visit. From recommendations on attractions, restaurants, beaches, transportation ... etc. We were underprepared for this trip but with Teresa's help, we didn't feel like it. The rooms are amazing at this property. The space, the cleanliness, the thoughtfulness behind everything including the room service & house keeping was awesome. Calatrava set a really high bar for my future stays at hotels.

Peace beautiful hotel with stunning view of the Ba

The hotel was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed the peace, rest and view. The light snack on our arrival, was a bit costly, but maybe because we had that in our room?! And the breakfast was 12E over the advertised price. But as we had an upgrade, we cannot complain. It was a glorious start to our holiday. Thank you.

The staff at the hotel were just wonderful. They were always on hand to help or answer questions. The location was also great as it is a short 8-10mins walk to Palma city center.

The location was great. The staff was incredibly helpful and willing to help with figuring out our stay/daily activities. Only wish it had a small workout room so that we did not have to go to its sister hotel about a mile away. I'd stay here again!

Everything was great, especially the view you'll see when having the breakfast. However, it's a pitty that such 5-star hotel does not have a pool.

Amazing Hotel

We were blown away by the service of every member of staff at Hotel Calatrava who made us feel so welcome. A huge thank you to all the reception staff, particularly Laura who went out of her way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The hotel itself is immaculate. We stayed in the sea view suite and it was beautiful. From the decor to the balcony views - stunning. Excellent location - a few mins walk to the beach, the park and old city where there are plenty of food options. Being vegetarians the hotel offer great vegan options and there are a plethora of vegan cafes/restaurants nearby. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommended Hotel Calatrava to all our family and friends.

just a terrible hotel with no parking on site. Not to mention we were robbed in our room when going up for breakfast. Rooms do not look when you close the doors and there are no CAMERAS in the whole hotel!

The location was great , the staff very attentive in a professional manner and the overall feel of the hotel was superb ! Room was clean and tastefully decorated . The hotel was very tasteful and relaxed and we were made to feel like VIPs

Great location in Palma

We really enjoyed being close to the waterfront and at same time in the Old Quarter. The 5th floor terrace where also Breakfast is served was a really really nice add-on. The staff is plenty and very helpful. The breakfast has many options ans we also ate there for lunch one day and the food was really good.

Honestly! We love everything about this hotel. Very luxurious. Very clean. Amazing rooms with amazing view to the ocean. When we arrive we were greeted by Mandy. She is such a beautiful person. Service in this beautiful hotel top notch. Every service staff in Calatrava hotel starting with the director to the assistant director, receptionist, restaurant and bar staff. House keeping employees. All are so beautiful people with a beautiful smile always going the extra mile to serve you and help you. I felt like I was at home. Staying in this beautiful hotel really made our experience in Palma de Mallorca the most beautiful experience I ever had in all my years traveling around the world. At the end of our staying the director Xavier and Carlos and Andrea they escorted us all the way to our limo going back to the airport. Shaking hands and beautiful goodbye words like when you are saying goodbye to a family love one. This vacation was the most memorable vacation ever. I will recommend this Boutique Hotel to anyone who really want to experience only but the best in hospitality industry. Wish for this beautiful hotel and all of their staff continue success. We will come back. Thank you so much for such an excellent experience and for taking such a good care of us.

This hotel has top of the line service and is located in a very nice part of Palma (very close to a beach, nice restaurants, a palace, park, playground, etc). The bed was supper comfortable and the rooms were very clean. I would absolutely recommend this hotel as we will be going back to visit again.

I travel a lot for business and this was by far the best service I've ever received in any hotel. They are in a league of their own. Location is walking distance to all Palma attractions but private enough. If you are looking at getting spoiled, this is the place for you.

Beautiful room - had the junior suite with ocean views. Room was twice the size of normal rooms. Terrace was huge as well. Staff was professional and went out of their way to make us happy. We ended up spending a day at the hospital, and hotel contact doctor and redid our champagne since we missed our first day. Very helpful and beautiful city with lots of history.

I just wanted to say how amazing stuff were when we arrived. They made myself and my spouse feel important which makes my stay at the Boutique Hotel Calatrava much more relaxing. When you first walk into the hotel, there’s this very pleasant aroma of cleanliness which I appreciated. The bathroom in the room is pretty and big. There was more than enough room for myself and spouse with amazing sea-view! Situated just minutes away from Old Town and famous Cathedral this hotel offers travelers an unbeatable mix of convenience and comfort. Also, we got a free luxury transfer from Palma de Mallorca International Airport. Every time when they saw us, they made sure that we had everything we needed, they brought us bottle of very good cava for free and were just so kind overall. Its honestly been one of the best services I’ve ever had, ill surely come back.

Staff could not have been more friendly and the room was beautiful including a really comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent and overall it was a great few days. We would definitely recommend the hotel and hope to revisit again some time in the future.

The Perfect Stay

This was one of the most enjoyable stays we've ever had at a hotel, and I can't sing its praises enough. On arrival we were upgraded to a suite free of charge, which was very spacious, stunningly appointed, and even featured a small rooftop terrace with an unimpeded view across Palma's coastline - the perfect thing to wake up to in the morning! The room was extremely quiet as well and featured a massive bed with a very comfortable mattress. We slept very well every single night. Breakfast, while on the pricier side, was worth the money. A menu of different egg dishes (try the local Maiorcan flavour!) was complemented by an elaborate buffet of fresh fruit, homemade yoghurts, cold cuts, fresh juices and sparkling wine. The breakfast terrace overlooking the bay made this a very relaxing way to start our day. The staff were extremely friendly without exception and we felt really well looked after throughout. The team helped us with all manner of things, from local restaurant and taxi bookings to small things like providing a set of towels for going to the beach and leaving us different local treats in our room every day. Top marks here. Another thing worth mentioning is that the hotel has a small spa with a sauna and jacuzzi, and it's available for private bookings. It's great to have the facilities to yourself for an hour to unwind at the end of the day. Overally, we really couldn't have wished for a better stay. We will definitely be returning next year!

Great location and fabulous client focussed staff

Really enjoyed staying here. Located within the City walls overlooking the bay, the hotel offers a classy and relaxing experience. All the staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. We were upgraded to a suite with a sea view and the Spa was a great way to chill out, after a day walking the cobbled back streets. Breakfast was high quality and served on the 5th floor terrace, with great views.

Small, stylish, friendly

The hotel is well located, easy walking distance from the city centre but tucked away enough to be tranquil. The staff are helpful and friendly, the rooms are modern, minimalist, stylish and spotless. The rooms overlooking the water at the front of the hotel are particularly good. The spa is an added bonus, you get it all to yourself with prior booking, and breakfast on the roof terrace in the sunshine, overlooking the sea, is a perfect way to start the day. We have stayed there many times and would happily go back. It’s particularly suitable for couples.

Lovely boutique hotel in a great central location

We had a lovely stay in this very friendly, modern boutique hotel right next to the cathedral n the centre of Palma. It is set back off the main road , overlooking a park and we had a very spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable room . The balcony also had a fabulous view of the sea and harbour in the distance . Breakfast is served on a lovely terrace on the fifth floor, also with a fabulous view of the sea and harbour . Staff were all extremely helpful and friendly, making our stay that bit more special, as did the Little touches, such as a half bottle of champagne in our room on arrival.

Great hotel with very helpful staff, fabulous views from the roof terrace and sea facing rooms. The Spa area is very limited and dark. The main road to the front of the hotel detracts from the amazing view and is very noisy.

Wonderful Hotel

We had a fabulous time at the Calatrava the hotel is in a quiet area about ten minutes walk to the cathedral and main square for restaurants and shops. The hotel is lovely and the staff are fantastic on arrival we were given complimentary glasses of cava which was a lovely touch and upgraded to a junior suite which had a lovely balcony to sit out on again a lovely surprise. Palma is a beautiful city well worth a visit and the weather was amazing with plenty of sunshine and very hot . Thank you to everyone at the Calatrava for making our stay so special.

Friendly hotel

Boutique Hotel Calatrava is a little jewel in a quiet neighbourhood of Palma even though it is only a short stroll to the Cathedral. The Junior Suite we had was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was terrific and served on the lovely roof terrace overlooking the sea. By far the best thing about the Calatrava though are the staff, who were all friendly, welcoming, helpful and professional. I would very happily return and wholeheartedly recommend the Calatrava.

Wonderful hotel, great location, terrific staff

We were stranded when we arrived due to a mix-up with airport transportation. We called the hotel and the wonderful receptionist arranged to have a taxi pick us up. The hotel is located very near to the Cathedral in a very quiet location. We were checked in quickly and sympathetically and were so pleased with the room which was large and spotless. The shower is fantastic, the bed very comfortable (king size which was wonderful.) The receptionists are friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely choose this hotel for our next stay in Palma!

Wonderful relaxing stay from minute we stayed. Beautiful room at back facing onto narrow lane behind hotel (next time would love suite looking over to sea!) Breakfast on terrace-amazing views! Lovely breakfast too-both continental and cooked to order. Can eat alfresco too in front of hotel. Ideal location.

Super location and immaculate hotel

Fantastic location, charming staff and immaculate rooms. The hotel is 5 minutes from the centre of old Palma. The staff are charming, very attentive and their knowledge of Palma is exceptional. The delightful receptionist arranged for hire bicycles to be brought to the hotel for us, nothing was too much trouble. The only slight criticism I have is that the area outside the hotel is a bit scruffy and full of weeds - I am sure this area does not belong to the hotel, but it doesn't give a good first impression for this lovely 5* boutique hotel. I would definitely return and recommend it to my friends.

A Diamond in the Hay

WONDERFUL. The hotel is just outside the old city away from the hustle bustle. Quiet, modern, very spacious rooms, very comfortable big beds, truly delightful and very helpful multilingual charming staff. A delicious breakfast is served on the roof terrace with a great view of the harbor of Palma stretching to the horizon. The beach is a 3 minute walk and a swim before breakfast is uncomplicated. There is a lovely sauna relaxing room that guests can use privately each day for an hour. Guests even get free water, sparkling and still, each day. One is in the center of town in 10 minutes max by foot. When I return to Palma, I would definitely stay here. A perfect location for a get away long weekend!

Great experience

The staff was exceptional here! From the start they were so organized with everything. They immediately brought out luggage to our room and offered to let us rest after our flight and do the check in paperwork later. Nothing was too much to ask for! They seemed to genuinely care about our stay and experience. The hotel itself is very nice, very clean and has the most comfortable bed out of the three hotels we stayed at while in Spain. The rooms were very nice and neat, very clean. It's a short walk to downtown where all the restaurants and shopping are, and the scenery is beautiful. I would stay again for sure.

Hotel was beautifully fitted out and very close (5 minutes) to Palma centre. Ideal for couples. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Lovely view over harbour from the terrace. Only draw back was the area in which it is situated is a bit run down.

For us it was an ideal location.

Perfect edge of old town position allowed us to access all fabulous Palma attractions easily and giving a wonderful walk along the walled ramparts and along the Cathedral and its grounds. All the staff were excellent and very helpful in every respect possible. The sky breakfast terrace is a super treat.

Stay here! Beautiful hotel 15 mins walk from Palma

We stayed for 6 nights and were upgraded for our stay. Early check in was no problem. The breakfast terrace has a stunning ocean view and guests can use the terrace at any time. Good free wifi, high quality linens, toiletries, hair dryer etc. we had a spacious room that was surprisingly quiet. The staff are very capable with one exception, and the hotel is very well run. The walk into palma is either along the ocean walls or through the old town. Walking around palma after dark is very romantic.

we had a room with a terrace reached by a fairly steep stairway but the view was fantastic....our room and bathroom was excellent and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast in a room with superb views over the bay of Palma...the hotel is in a quiet location and well worth a visit

Modern hotel, clean, helpful, friendly staff

We stayed in a Calatrava Suite, which was based on the second floor. The room was large and airy, with a pleasant balcony area, although not high enough to get a good view of the sea. If we stayed here again we would ask for a room on the fourth or fifth floor. Just a 10 minute walk to the cathedral and 15 minutes to the marina. Walking back at night not a problem as the area was well lit. Based in the old town area we got a good nights sleep even with the balcony door open. Noise from the main road, the other side of the park was not bothersome. Palma is a lovely place with plenty to do, we had two full days but wished that we could have stayed another two days to fit everything in. Plenty of places to eat within 15 minutes of the hotel. Everyone we dealt with, both at the hotel and outside were friendly and helpful.

Extremely nice/quiet hotel close to everything

The Staff was extraordinary and most helpful. The location was perfect for my husband and I we absolutely loved it. The breakfast was fantastic, the room was spacious and clean. We will most definitely return.

Lovely Location

The Hotel Calatrava is a lovely boutique hotel situated by the city walls. Just a short walk from the main centre of Palma, yet has the feel of being further out. A charming stone stepped stairwell accesses each level with well proportioned, airy rooms. Views to the front but less attractive alleyways to side, but not really an issue. Roof top breakfast and seating area is a delight with a view over the beach and harbour, yet not overly troubled with noise from the dual carriageway just over the city wall. Shared taxi from airport was only €20 and dropped right outside. Hotel also quickly ordered taxis for evenings out.

wonderful Hotel

We stayed in room 12 which is a suit on the top floor. From the room balcony there is a wonderful view of the sea. Because of the size of the room it always felt cool and airy. The staff could not do enough for us and were genuinely pleasant people, always greeting us with a smile. We will definitely return and hopefully stay in the same room again.

Beautiful hotel just missing a pool

Really enjoyed staying here, the staff were the most attentive and helpful that we have come across my only issue was that there was no pool which would have been nice given the heat in the summer, also we moved rooms as room 16 has no balcony and a view of the restaurant so avoid that one!

this is a wonderful, stylish boutique hotel VERY conveniently situated to all of the sights in the Old City. It's about a five minute walk to the Cathedral along the old town walls. Staff are all extremely helpful,and the rooms are beautiful. Very highly recommended.

One of the best Boutique Hotels I've stayed at

I, my wife and 7 months old daughter had a great time staying at this hotel for the last three nights of our two weeks stay at Mallorca. Charming hotel, great location, a beautiful suite, a great complimentary spa as well as an amazing staff (especially Señor Ernesto) who tended to us perfectly. I hope the management take good care of the staff and appreciates them. We had lunch at the Gastro Gourmet who provided with a high quality and modern tapas menu. We also enjoyed three types of massage treatments which was good but a bit pricey.

Excellent location and stay!

The location is excellent within the old town and close to the cathedral. The hotel has modern well-kept facilities and the hotel staff are very helpful. Upon arrival, you are greeted with a welcome drink and can relax while the front desk staff takes care of all of the paperwork. The wifi if you need it is included and is a fast connection. Would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the harbour and sea is a lovely experience. Easy walking distance of the main sites and restaurants. Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent room with the only downside being the faint whiff of cigarette smoke, shame they do not share our non smoking laws.

Hotel Calatrava offers boutique accommodation in a slightly out of Old Town location with lovely views from its sea facing rooms. Breakfast on the roof top terrace is particularly pleasurable. Very welcoming staff help to make the stay relaxed and enjoyable. The hotel location ensures a quiet stay but be prepared to walk a bit further in and out to the Old Town. Would certainly visit again. Rooms well maintained and the whole hotel displays a chic quality.

Fantastic location!

The location is unbeatable. Overlooking the ocean in the beautiful old city of Mallorca; therefore, the hotel is easy walking to the neighboring Cathedral and various museums and notable historic sites. The hotel itself is modern, has an excellent staff available 24 hours, and has just recently opened. The suites are large with an open design, which is both positive and negative. The positive is that the room is similar to a studio apartment, making it familiarly "homey." However, the negative is that if you have children, friends, or other, there is no privacy. Finally, overall pleased; nevertheless, given the limited amenities, the hotel is priced high. There is no true restaurant, gym, or activity room/library. There is an appointment only spa, which is available with prior reservation for an one hour daily private session...a nice touch, nevertheless, limited. As with any boutique hotel, there are limitations and bonuses, as mentioned. The bonuses are location, staff accessibility and personal attention, and uniqueness. The negatives are the limitations in facilities, as mentioned. Nevertheless, the experience and Hotel Calatrava was lovely.

Stylish hotel in a great location.

You are cliose to everything that you might want in Palma. Really friendly and helpful staff. There were some electrical issues which affected breakfast but it didn't detract from the overall experience. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely hotel in great location

Beautiful hotel on the edge of the old town within walking distance of all the sights. It has a roof terrace with a fabulous view of the sea where breakfast is served and anything else you may want up there at any time of day... would recommend a sundowner! We had a room on the back which was spacious, luxurious and very quiet with comfortable beds. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Will definitely make a return trip!
