The hotel is well located closed to the lake and for the ones that booked too late and couldn’t get a room at the lake or the ones that want more quiet nights that is. A great location. The lobby and rooms are nicely decorated. The marble floor is quite cold in winter and know that there is no heating in the room. The breakfast was wonderful on the rooftop with beautiful view and delicious. The staff was always extremely helpful and went the extra mile to make our stay a wonderful experience. A lot can be visited walking in Udaipur and it was very safe at night for women alone to walk and enjoy the evening without concerns.
Boheda palace has a perfect location within walking distance from the old city. Staff are very friendly with a keen sense of customer service. I would not hesitate to come back.
Great Stay
The hotel was beautiful and the staff were kind and accommodating. They made food in the restaurant just the way we like it. It is also clean. They have really cool horse safaris you can book too.
there is a rooftop restaurant which is very convenient. the room was spacious. however the main problem we had was with the staff. the front of house is great and helped us a lot to secure taxis to our other destination however the room service staff kept entering our room at any time (happened) three times without knocking and waiting for us to open the door. as a group of three girls that made us feel very unsafe and weird. we made sure to lock the door properly after that. other than that very affordable and close to city centre.
Extremely dirty toilet. Dirty mattress with black stains. Dirty room floor, mouldy walls and outside view of a dilapidated residential plot. Bad neighbourhood. TV was not working. Fridge rubber was very dirty and mouldy. Furniture was broken, no power backup for AC, no running hot water. There is no parking at the hotel. They ask you to use the dilapidated residential plot to park. I had to check in because I arrived late at night and was traveling with elderly parents.
I can say all the staff there was super friendly, and helpful. I was about to book more days to stay there if they have more room available, but unfortunately was all booked . Yes i recommended this hotel .
Comfortable stay with good service. Walking distance to the palace and other attractions in town.
I can't say much about this property except at 10:30 the same night, I accidentally booked two days. We never arrived at the hotel. Attempted to call Orbitz immediately to reverse the charges. Orbitz attempted to call manager of hotel to reverse charges but the hotel decided to keep the 8,325 rupees.
I felt like I was treated like a king in this former little palace. The staff were excellent and very helpful. I especially enjoyed the restaurant terrace, which had an excellent view of the City Palace.
Interior of the room was comfortable. The area is impossible to reach with a cab or auto and a bit far from everything. Only two young kids were at the counter and they didn't speak english or understand that i had reserved initially.
It was well maintained and staff are responsive to queries
We really enjoyed the view from the rooftop where breakfast was served. Location was good - walkable to the main area of the old city, and easy enough to hail a rickshaw. The hotel itself had a lovely lobby area, but our room was bare and basic and needed a lot of TLC. Our room was not cleaned once during our stay, the bathroom was really dark and had obvious signs of mould and rust. Our room didn’t have a desk, which isn’t the end of the world, but also no storage for coats/clothes or to really feel comfortable. Overall the staff were helpful and accommodating, but the hotel needs A LOT of work.
Amazing stay
We two families had 3 nights stay and it was an amazing experience. Everything was excellent during our stay. Rooms were pretty large with very comfortable bed; Service was quick; Courteous staff and the owner was very humble & helpful. The day we left was Hindu New Year Day when the owner had placed a good quality of sweets & dry fruits for guests. Only negative thing is the location & parking sine the hotel is in a narrow street.
Lovely stay
The hotel was a pleasure to visit. Well kept and the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and the view from the rooftop very nice. The room was never cleaned throughout stay which was a little surprising.
Charming old Haveli with excellent rooftop view
Old Haveli with a nice rooftop restaurant, the best part of our stay. Room was very noisy. The hallways outside all the room echo badly. You can hear everything including other guests watching TV or children running up and down the stairs. None of the rooms have a view, they are facing another building wall/ alley, which also has a noisey echo from the neighbors and crying babies. Room was clean, but the bathroom shower mildew needs deep cleaning. Room did not include a safe. Front desk manager very friendly and helpful, but he is the only one with good english if you have any questions.
V helpful and pleasant receptionist
We booked this last minute as our other hotel was oversold. Got there shortly after the booking and they were expecting us. The receptionist was absolutely brilliant. The best we have come across after a month in India. The room was spacious. The bathroom was nice with a big shower and plentiful hot water. The WiFi wasn’t great in the rooms. The bed was a bit uncomfortable for our preference. Overall it was nice. What let it down a bit was the restaurant on the top floor. Our room was below this so it was very noisy during the morning. The staff in the restaurant were terrible. Honestly never got the order right. 1 veg chow mien and 1 chicken chow mien came out as a veg chow mien and a chicken sandwich. He really didn’t want to be there. We asked for 2 banana porridge with our included breakfast and got one porridge, one banana pancake. Seriously, we are very chilled but this guy was ridiculous. He would revert to the menu in his language and by the third time he came back to ask us our order again we were telling him how many numbers down it was! He couldn’t comprehend a single thing and didn’t seem to even care. We rarely use hotel restaurants and would say to definitely avoid this one and you will enjoy the hotel.
The staff there is very courteous. Comfortable rooms Overall very good experience. Staff speaks English well too
We had booked 4 rooms during our family vacation. Hotel management and staff are very friendly. They provided us beautiful rooms. Mr. Ibrahim went beyond my expectations to accommodate our requests. I am very thankful to him to make my family's vacation so awesome! Complementary breakfast in the morning is quite good. One aspect they need to work on is their bathrooms. While the rooms are 5 star, bathrooms are 3 according to me.

Nice hotel very clean Roof top restaurant is awesome
The hotel is beautifully laid out with lovely decor, the roof terrace is amazing and has lovely views over the palace. The food was the best I have had in India, really tasty. The room was very basic and could of had a kettle to make tea and some other comforts. The mattress was rather hard and WiFi wasn’t great (but your on holiday so that wasn’t the end of the world) the staff were very helpful and lovely. For the price this hotel was an absolute bargain and well worth a visit
nice staff. very helpful. helped arrange day trips to Chittor and Khumbalgarh. highly recommended.
Udaipur is a lovely city. The people are welcoming and the hospitality is fantastic.
Hidden jewel in the heart of Udaipur
Very nice hotel with historical flair owned and run by a prominent family originally from the region. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast at the terrace restaurant with awesome views of the city palace. Staff was very attentive. Great value for money.
There was only 1 person who could get anything done and he was present only part of the time. They cleaned my room once for the 3 days I stayed there. In spite of asking, my laundry was never picked up. The only bright thing was the lobby guy who was very helpful even though he could not be found most of the time. The only reason i am ratiing this this high is due to that. You will not be disappointed if you go with minimal expectations.
Perfect location, hotel and staff! Thanks again!
Perfect location, hotel and staff! Thanks again!
Friendly, boutique hotel with character
Small, well appointed hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Room kept immaculately clean. Struggle to provide hot water when there are many guests but otherwise very happy. Views of Palace from rooftop restaurant stunning.
Comfortable. Close to the city palace.
It was close to city palace and all the tourist attractions in Udaipur. The rooftop restaurant was a good experience. The hotel in general was well decorated with all the cricket photos. The location was in a cramped up lane and parking can be an issue.
nice hotel with view on city palace
Very friendly and helpful staff, great view from breakfast area and roof top!
Traditional Indian Hotel
Stayed for two days in November 2017. Very attentive staff, nice lobby. Very centrally located, but on a quiet street.
So so
Very weak WiFi. Restaurant food awful. Despite this, room was comfortable and service. A bit far from main tourist old town area but easy to get around.
Nice traditional/modern hotel
Although there is no elevator, the staff was most helpful and kind from the very arrival. The room was comfortable, clean and the restaurant served good food (both Indian and international). The inside had many sculptures and photos of old and modern times nicely displayed.
Perfect place
The hotel is in a great location. Staff are so friendly and it is a really gorgeous hotel! Loved it
Happyy
Our stay was very much satisfactory and comfortable... helpful staff . nice breakfast ... Will prefer to stay again :-)
Great hotel, great location!
Perfectly clean and comfortable. A short walk from the hustle and bustle of town.
Good value Hotel
Stayed for two nights on our trip through Rajasthan , a great little guest house ,the room was clean and functional. A little way from the lake but a nice morning walk of around 20 minutes or a 150 /200 Rupees tuk tuk ride Good roof top restaurant with great views of the palace, however the Bohedas strength is it's friendly staff who go out of their way to help. E.G.: We had an early departure from the hotel to Jopur, unfortunately my wife who had a recently had surgery on her leg left her stick at the hotel, the staff obviously realised this and sent it too the coach station by taxi, would definitely use again and recommend it for value. Like staying in your own palace
Great value for a lovely place (compared to some of the others we have stayed in while in India). Shower was slightly weak as we have become used to but got very hot. Very hopeful staff and walking distance to the city palace. We had a great time here.
Convenient and nice hotel!
It was good on the whole! Breakfast needs much improvement! Limited options and slow service!
Great experience!
The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The front desk staff is very welcoming and friendly. The view from the rooftop restaurant is spectacular. We would definitely stay again at Boheda Palace!
Good value, quiet hotel
Located over a mile out of the main part of town; good for quiet, but means you need to hike or tuk-tuk to get around. Not much around the hotel itself. Pretty view of the palace from rooftop restaurant, but be aware there is no lake view. Friendly staff.
Great location, great hotel and great staff
Amazing hotel service. We arrived in udaipur as the news of the currency change broke, this then meant that we had no money. The hotel staf were really helpful in telling us where the banks were and helping us during our stay. The hotel itself is lovely, great central location that is within walking distance of the palace. The room was clean and well kept, would def recommend.
Great hotel
Really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel was nice and the staff were always so kind and going above and beyond to assist. The rooftop resturant was excellent with a wonderful view of city palace. Location was good within walking distance to city palace entry / gate. The room was very big and spacious as we got a free upgrade to superior. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom and shower were of a good size and everything was well cleaned. Exceedes all expectations for a medium budget hotel. Would definitely recommend.
Nice people, nice location, nice hotel. Not that much to say but that I recommend it.
Good for the budget
Location a bit far, but an amazing view of the city palace from the roof top . Rooms are small but sufficient.
So So
Average could have been better.
Nice hotel centrally located .
On arrival staff very helpful and informative.. Explained the merits of what transport to take as roads were very narrow for taxis
Excellent family-run hotel
This is not the Lake Palace: it is a traditional family-run hotel, with comfortable rooms, strong hot showers and good beds, set back from the lake (so you get breakfast views of the City Palace but not the lake), in a quiet area of Udaipur, yet still within easy reach of anywhere you'd wish to go. The staff were excellent, booking cars, sorting out ATM problems, and finding extra rugs in very chilly winter weather. The food is perfectly OK if you're dining in, and simple things like porridge and marsala chai at breakfast are done well. This is an unflashy traditional Indian hotel -- and very good for it. We stayed three nights and were sorry to leave.
Excellent rooms, very well maintained.
Excellent rooms, very well maintained. Lovely ceiling work and courteous staff. Only issue is the restaurant, could be a little better.
