We liked the bedding and Diptyque products the hotel offered. But the hotel itself was in a poor condition, oven though they said it was renovated in 2018. Overall, it wasn’t a comfortable stay.
We've stayed at the Bienvenue many times and it's a gem of a place. Charming staff, lovely rooms with lots of character and comfort. And now there's even Diptique products thrown in the mix. A must stay.
perfect stay for me in paris central . would come stay here again when back to paris .
A gorgeous hotel with lovely staff who went out of their way to be welcoming and helpful
There were so many stains in the room on the carpet and sheets. There was black mold in the bathroom.
Great stay and room was good sized for Paris. Great location
Very nice boutique hotel but the rooms are small but overall lovely
Chic rooms with a cute cafe and courtyard
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The room was comfortable (even if a bit snug for 3 people), the staff was great. The location was good - easy to get to public transportation and lots of restaurants nearby. I'd stay here again.
Returning to this hotel filled us with excitement, reminiscing about our delightful previous stay However, our anticipation quickly turned to disappointment upon arrival. The unfamiliar requirement to surrender our room keys for each outing immediately raised red flags about privacy and security. Our initial excitement turned to confusion and concern as we discovered our room labeled as a single, despite booking a double. Despite our efforts to resolve the issue, the receptionist's indifferent attitude left us feeling frustrated and undervalued. As I returned to our room, hoping for a reprieve from the day's disappointments, the phone rang. On the line, the receptionist informed me of a superior room's availability, albeit at an additional cost of €100 euros per night. I couldn't help but express my frustration – why should we, the customers, foot the bill for the hotel's mistake? I argued that the room should be provided at no extra charge. However, instead of understanding, I was met with resistance. Despite finally securing a double room, the cramped space failed to meet our expectations, leaving us feeling cramped and uncomfortable. Throughout our ordeal, not once did the staff offer a sincere apology for the inconvenience we endured. While our holiday remained enjoyable despite the hotel's shortcomings, this experience has left a bitter taste in our mouths and dissuaded us from returning. We urge others to think twice before booking a stay here. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL
Excellent stay, friendly & helpful staff. Good location within close distance to the metro
It was charming. Staff was so so nice and helpful. Loved it! Thank you.
Lovely Hotel for a weekend visit
This hotel was beautiful and situated in a nice part of the city. Botanical theme decoration and very clean. The elevator was very helpful for us. Staff were polite and very helpful. English speaking staff as well. We had a lovely day for weather so we were able to sit in their beautiful garden. The only point of improvement for me would be a better bar variety of drinks.
Stylish little hotel in excellent location
I love this hotel. It is so stylish and well located. The courtyard is gorgeous. This was my second stay and on the first, I stayed in the back building. This time I stayed in the front building and would just note to anyone booking that Room 303 is a connecting room and you can well hear the conversations of those just adjacent to you. Also, being above the kitchen you get an early morning scent of the baking.....!
It was fabulous...perfectly clean, clean towels, bedding everyday. .staff were so helpful...even got a free coffee on our last day, the hotel was beautiful and the bedroom was massive 😍 no bad to say about it. Oh and the location was great very central to all things but within walking distance of Montmatre which was a stunning place 😍
Loved the decor. Rooms were spacious for Paris. Great location, lots of neighborhood spots for shopping and dining. The staff were very helpful.
This was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff was excellent, courteous, and helpful. The hotel is located in a fantastic location, safe, clean. The interior design was beautiful. The room had many amenities, and they stored our luggage for us even after check out. I will definitely stay at Hotel Bienvenue again in the future.
Look no further!
Lovely hotel - will use in the future now for all business trips to Paris! Convenient location - 15 min walk to Gare Du Nord, clean and comfortable room and friendly staff!!
Great place to stay
Fantastic stay
Convenient location, accommodating staff. Love the interior patio. A/C didn't work and the elevator is super small.
Cute and good location. A/C & heat was a problem. Sink and shower clog up fast. Building lost power for a few hours during the day, but not their fault. Nice employees.
Awesome hotel, great neighbourhood and very friendly staff.
Loved the location!! Very close to two metros and in a lovely area - first time to Paris but it felt like a central location, not far from everything. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Super happy with our choice and would stay again!
We picked this hotel based on previous reviews, however, we didn't enjoy our stay. We didn't have hot water one day and AC didn't work at all. So call ahead the hotel and confirm if AC has been fixed. Thankfully the manager, Sophie, was very helpful and made our stay more enjoyable.
My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for a multitude of reasons. Firstly, the staff were incredible, especially Patricia. I have been wanting to practice my French and she was more than happy to comply and slow down her French in order for me to respond accurately and I was very grateful. Secondly, the room was lovely, and I requested some balloons for my partner and I’s one year anniversary and they complied, with a lovely note. The air conditioning was not that great, however they did supply an excellent fan which worked wonders for the heat. Our room looked out into the stunning courtyard and we were able to look out from our bed. Not to mention, the bed was really comfortable (my partner and I are very specific about which types of beds we like and this definitely allowed for a really nice sleep)! Thirdly, the location was very convenient. My partner and I were able to walk most places and there were metro stops in a good walking distance too! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a comfortable, peaceful stay in Paris 😊
Very nice!
Nice hotel with friendly staff.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was small but fine for the two of us. Everything we needed was provided. I would recommend this hotel!
My husband and I enjoyed staying at your hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating . The garden is beautiful, where we sat and sipped wine. The breakfast was served in such a lovely room. The glassware and even napkins were gorgeous. The room was a bit small, but very comfortable. We will go back to the hotel if ever in Paris again.
Great staff. Went out of their way to help with wifi and a SIM card. My daughter was offered a free refreshment in the lounge. Great art deco feeling
Loved the hotel very cute and the windows and view were nice.
Amazing hotel - beautiful, convenient, and wonderful staff!
This hotel was beautiful. The entry into the garden was simply charming. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Our room was clean & there was plenty of space for our suitcases. Our bathroom was quaint but did the job! I would stay here again.
Very cute hotel. Very French vipe
Nice
Noce hotel, quiet street
Very nice hotel on a quiet street. It seems as though i got the smallest room and would have been pretty annoyed if i had paid €320 for it as was listed on their room costs. Was not much room getting out of the lift and in the bedroom door - they were basically on top of each other. Def was one of the 'cheaper' rooms in the hotel based on location inside i would say. Nice bathroom and nice toiletries. Bed comfy. Very lovely staff
I loved everything about this hotel…It was close to the train stations( we could walk to both). Shopping and dining was also close… we enjoyed walking the area. Especially down to the opera which wasn’t far at all…The hotel is clean and the staff was very friendly. Our favorite though was the breakfast… amazing! So worth EVERY Penny. Thank you Hotel Bienvenue, see you next time!
A great value 4-star hotel with a very classy breakfast. Spacious room with kettle coffee-maker & minibar. Toiletries of the very highest quality. Comfortable bed excellent tv. Superbly helpful staff. Lovely public spaces and garden. Great location on quiet street near Rue des MARTYRS.
Cute, colorful and clean.
Cute, colorful and clean.
Lovely staff, great location
The hotel was really nice and picturesque, a couple of things I would say they could improve on is to tell the cleaning lady to try and speak a little lower when walking through the corridors especially outside our door when the doors are paper thin and everything can be heard, bearing in mind that people are on their holidays and take afternoon naps when tired for example or have just landed or whatever reason they are tired of. I'm sure the hotel is aware of this quiet rule being in the hospitality sector and will remind its staff for it to be implemented always. Furthermore, the bigger gentleman at the reception desk would it have killed you to smile perhaps during the welcoming of the guests or to even speak for that matter or perhaps he's mute I don't know but for someone who works in the hospitality industry he had zero communication skills so he needs further training if he wishes to keep his job I suggest.
This hotel was extremely cute and perfect for our romantic couple nights in Paris! The rooms are small (as expected) but in great condition with plenty of thoughtful touches. We checked our bags a few hours early and when we returned to officially check in, they had already put our bags in the room, which was amazing. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The location was very safe and conveniently located next to two Metro lines. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
A superb stay in a lovely hotel. Would absolutely recommend.
Great hotel
Staff were very friendly, room was perfect for our family of 3, clean and spacious, great location near metro and all convenience
The hotel was beautiful and centrally located near everything. It was very easy to get around. It had nice decor and ascetics. However, they did not clean my room after the first day there. I was upgraded to a bigger room that night. The next morning the cleaning lady barges into my room with the do not disturb sign on the door without knocking! Very disturbing. Otherwise, my stay was pleasant.
This is a great hotel, super cute and perfect for a stay in Paris. The beds are the most comfortable, offers lots of towels. The location is great for walking to places and close to public transport. We didn’t not take the breakfast so I can’t comment on it but it smelled great every morning. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. They think of every detail and are happy to give recommendations. Only downside is that at check in we mentioned that we would arrive early (overseas flight) but they only gave us the room at 2pm. I understand this is due to availabilities so it’s okay. Highly recommend this hotel
The rooms were so cute and the location is very close to subway metros. The elevator is kind of antique I think only hold up to 170kg. The bed is very comfortable and water is hot and strong. The garden patio is very pretty too.
Great little hotel
Really nice stay. Hotel staff lovely.
Not very clean , the rooms to small . Heat don’t work . I not going to recommend this hotel.
Beautiful and great location!
Beautiful! It looks just like the photos - 10/10 would stay again :)
Love the area of Paris the hotel is in - easy walk to Martyrs street and local restaurants.
The hotel is picturesque and quaint. The outdoor patio and wrought-iron elevator and polished wood registration desk all scream to be photographed. Sadly, the level of service and amenities are severely lacking. The quaint elevator is tiny and it required contortion to fit my thin body and my roller bag in together. A heavyset person would not fit. The spiral staircase is quite narrow, so if you have a lot of large luggage don’t even think of staying here. My room had no closet and no place to hang clothes. There was no refrigerator other than the one for their own mini bar drinks and the drink racks filled it so that it was impossible to add any food items. The power to this mini fridge was also tied to the main room light so that when you turn the light off you turn the fridge off. The bathroom had no counter space and the tiny cup rack was barely wide enough to place my toiletry bag (which was hanging over the edge). The sink only has enough edge space for a bar of soap. The shower (no bathtub) has a head on a flexible hose (which I do like). The “double bed” was two singles placed side-by-side. There was an electric kettle to boil water for tea, but if you want coffee it consisted of instant coffee mix. There was sugar but no creamer. There was no iron. There was no table to write on or eat on other than a small nightstand and stool for the phone next to the bed. The entire floor was on a slant. I would not stay here again.
Hotel B is a cute boutique hotel - lobby is gorgeous, courtyard is breathtaking, rooms are nicely decorated. Rue de Martyrs is a fabulous stress within walking distance where we could easily find patisseries, cafes, sweets and MORE! We encountered a couple of issues though. We were facing the street with a school opposite of the hotel - nearly every morning (sometimes as early as 1am), garbage trucks drive through and are extremely loud, cargo trucks making deliveries multiple mornings with the individuals banging their unloads around made it difficult to sleep through the night (we were disturbed 4 of 4 nights we stayed there). I would hope that if you were facing the courtyard, it’d be much more quiet. The bathroom was not ventilated well - the shower is small (fairly normal for Europe) but was difficult to shower in, and I’m 5’ 3”. There were small mold spots on the ceiling due to poor ventilation. The staff was exceptional, just a couple of issues with our stay. I would return to Hotel B, though probably not my first choice.
Sweet staff, clean room!
Nice, but small
Nice staff, comfortable bed, and convenient location… but European size room where we felt really congested. Our master bedroom at home was bigger than the room and bathroom combined.
Convenient, clean.
Hotel Bienvenue was a wonderful spot on a quiet street. It was beautifully appointed and well situated. I highly recommend it!
First time visit to the City of Love
The hotel is a beautiful old building in a quiet corner of the city. We were within walking distance of restaurants and a grocery store. The hotel was clean but we could tell it was an older building. I would stay there again.
love this place! beautiful and clean, would definitely come again
excellent Location excellent amenties excellent hotel staff
Exceeded my expectations with its amazing service and unique and tasty breakfast!
Very welcoming and accommodating, with great customer service. Perfect for a solo traveler that wants a clean, comfortable bed and a safe, convenient location. The rooms are small, which is to be expected in Paris, but it was quite sufficient for my needs. I did not take advantage of the breakfast, but I was given a small treat for Easter, which was a nice touch! I really enjoyed the personalized city guide that was provided as well.
Good bed - bigger and Beyer than the twin in the description
Stay over the weekend
The rooms are very small and at a poor condition. There is no space and no closet to store your things. We were a couple and stayed for three nights, the place is good overall, however we felt ist was over priced for what it is. It has a nice reception and garden, but that is about it. Also the elevator was not working and we were located on the third floor. This place should either lower prices or renovate their rooms.
Bienvenue was a good venue
Four of us stayed in two rooms. We all enjoyed our stay, but did note some small issues. Our handbasin had no plug and our friends safe did not work. It was nice to see fridges in both rooms, but all they did was generate warm air, without actually cooling their contents. But the staff were lovely and the excellent rating is deserved. SL.
Very pleasant stay
Stunningly beautiful courtyard and sweet rooms. Needs a little bit of TLC in the room but the staff are amazing, the prices are good and the location is excellent
Had an amazing time at this hotel. It’s small, but the staff is amazing and the hotel is super cute. Totally worth it!
Awesome hotel for a family. Great location.
A superb hotel for a family of 4 (two adults, two teenage daughters). Very walkable into Montmartre in one direction (incredible district full of charming alleys, restaurants etc). Another direction is ten minutes to the big department stores and also train station for Versaille. Other direction twenty minute walk or metro to the river and all the tourist stuff there. The hotel itself was great. A lovely leafy courtyard where we ate breakfast, played cards at night, and hung out. We had two rooms, both perfectly acceptable and not too small. Bathrooms very nice. Breakfast was great. Honestly, I can't think of a bad thing to say about it. Will definitely use again next time we go to Paris.
A Gem in The Heart of Paris!!
We had an amazing experience at Hotel Bienvenue. We loved everything about the hotel particularly the garden. The Customer service was second to none. Didn't know what to expect but we weren't disappointed. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Excellent choice
Excellent staff!! Very friendly and accommodating! Highly recommend this hotel.
Beautiful boutique hotel! Every room has such great attention to detail. The staff was wonderful and a very convenient location. I would definitely stay here again. The rooms are small but well appointed. We really enjoyed our stay !
Front desk staff were really lovely. The elevator is a cute, old school touch. Americans be prepared for no comforter!
The decor was beautiful, front desk agent was super helpful! rooms are super tiny, everything is much much smaller in Paris.
The hotel, room, elevator, etc are super tiny, but cute. The shower half door is a little uncomfortable. However, everything was clean and the staff are great, very courteous and helpful, especially Alejandro. He was extremely helpful, and ver nice! It is like a family hotel. I would definitely stay again at Hotel Bienvenue.
We arrived early, sans luggage. Our room wasn't quite ready (it was 8AM after all!), but Nathalie invited us to enjoy coffee, croissants, cheese, tea, etc., which was all completely delicious. As soon as you enter the doors, you know you are in a special place. The front desk is exactly the kind of front desk you want to see at your Parisian hotel. Flowered wall with room keys numbered with a stylish font - so many well-appointed details. Room was just fine - the best yellow tile in the bathroom, dramatic floral drapes, view of cute courtyard below. It was so lovely and Nathalie was helpful and kind. Location of hotel was great - close prox. to Sacre Coeur.
Quaint boutique style hotel. When turning on the hot water spigot, it took a long time for the water to heat up. Elevator broke at one point during our stay, so had to climb the steep steps to our third floor room. Natalie and Alejandro were great and very helpful! They were also very fluent in English.
Very cosy typically French very nice welcoming easy check in and check out
I choose this hotel cus it’s seems nice and close to Gare du Nord, but actually a bit far to walk specially when you have luggage with you! I booked this hotel for my sisters who will check in one day before me, when they arrived staff told them breakfast is not included if they wanna breakfast will charge 16€ per person, so they just think it’s really not included cus they are not the person who booked the room, when I arrived I aware of this, I ask at the front desk and staff told me breakfast is included and is so clear shown in the system..... The room is clean and tidy but toilet seat is broken! And city tax for one room for 3 person for 3 nights they charge me 25€ something, the hotel I stay few days before near Gare du Nord just 1.5€ per person per night! I give really high expectations to this hotel but it’s doesn’t worth the price what you paid for, will definitely not stay again!
Good location, friendly helpful service. The room was fairly small, but it was fine for us. It overlooked their lovely garden, which would be nice to sit in in warmer weather. We really liked that the bed was not 2 singles put together as is often the case in our experience in Europe. Thanks! We'd like to go back!
Was amazing but the french strikes was little bit bad .... you couldn’t enjoy much!!!
pwefwct location
This hotel was so well located. You can walk to so many different places! Neighbourhood was safe and was quiet. Hotel staff were all delightful. Room was clean and pretty.
Everything is good except that the wall is thin and I can hear people talking and using their bathroom from the rooms next door or above
I will definitely stay here again! Service and room was amazing.
Near perfection, from style, staff, amenities, location to affordability, Hotel Bienvenue did not disappoint.
tel
Great little hotel. Rooms are smal but very nice
Hotel is not like the website shows Employees are the best but facility is too old Location is near sites visits and metro areas make it easy to move around
Location and value were excellent. We included the breakfast in our reservation and it was a very good idea.
Everything was great dxceptnon one day that they didnt do the room even if we left early.
Good Paris home base
Great spot for those looking for a clean, friendly place with some charm. It's not overly fancy but has everything you need and I liked the location.
can be noisy , can be nice
Some of the rooms are connected and therefore you can hear everything from next door . The hotel is on a nice small street , easy to get to. Close to restaurants and metro lines .
The location is perfect coming from Gare du Nord. In an area with a lot of food options.
Great place to spent a copile of days. In the city cebtre, close to all amenities. Staff is very nice, ready to help you. Place is clean, and the room is wuite big compering to other rooms in Paris
Great boutique hotel, in between Gare du Nord (great for Eurostar / RER B to CDG) and Opera district with a Franprix (supermarket) and Carrefour City close by.
Very helpful staff. Very centrally located and felt safe.
This was a nice hotel in the middle of a very busy neighborhood. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was just a room but that’s to be expected in Paris and at this price point.
Great location, very clean, beautifully presented. Great access to cafes, restaurants and public transport nearby.
Hidden gem
An absolute hidden gem! Love this small boutique hotel. Gorgeous public areas, well thought out rooms, good location, great service... will definitely be back!
Lovely hotel for city centre access and close to many places and transport links
