Cynthia, the front desk attendant, was helpful when we arrived to store our suitcases, and also helped us in a moment of panic with printing tickets for a trip outside of Paris. The hotel itself was below average in its design and upkeep. Our room faced a giant outdoor advertising screen that changed every few seconds and lit up our room while we were sleeping. It definitely was not a quiet place. If you wanted to keep your balcony door opened you would be hearing noise past 1 AM. But it was in a very close proximity to the Montparnasse Metro station add lots of dining options.
Nice hotel :)
The fact that the elevator stoped working at several occasions
Very nice, comfortable hotel close to transit and restaurants. With an Olympic sized pool next door.
came for the olympics. Staff was friendly, Air-conditioning was great, and metro was a minute's walk. awesome boulangery up the street. only problem was some street noise.
Perfect if you're not spending much time there
Perfect for an Olympic weekend in Paris. Our room was small, clean, and comfortable. Not luxury at all, but then again, we spent exactly 16 hours there over three days. Neighborhood was awesome. Great cafes and restaurants near by. Right near the Metro. Bed was squishy. Front desk originally had us in a double, even though I booked a room with two twins. They insisted that was what I booked when I challenged them on it. But then double checked and fixed the problem.
Rooms are tiny and not that clean not to mention that there’s no heating (had to be hot air) and most of the time the water isn’t hot enough to shower
Spend the extra money for a better hotel
Clean, modest, affordable, and convenient. I had a lovely stay there and highly recommend it.
Nice balconies. Great maids.
Very convenient and central hotel in Montparnasse. Always reliable. Friendly staff.
Needs updating but is convenient
The hotel is 3-star rated. However, our room's shower head holder was broken. Also, our bed has seen better days and needs to be replaced. There was barely enough room around the bed, not surprising for Paris hotels. It is, however, a very convenient hotel as it is close to the train station and near restaurants are plentiful.
It perfectly met expectations. Not much in the way of bells and whistles but it was a clean room in a great location and the staff was friendly and helpful.
My tiny room did not look like any of the pictures online. It was small, which made it hard to move around. The small desk is old and worn. The chair was hard. And pushing back the chair meant hitting the bed. The carpet is old and does not look clean. The bathroom was OK and honestly the best part. And the bed was comfortable.
They did a good job!
.
Given a room at the top. No elevator access from 5th to 6th floor. Stairs are steep.
Great location to Montparnasse Metro and Rail station - easy to get to all areas of Paris. The Metro stop is right across the street and the station is right around the corner. Monoprix is close if you need snacks and supplies. Hotel breakfast is simple, but filling - lots of delicious croissants and bread offerings, yogurt, and various coffee drinks and juice. The room was perfect for our budget, and the AC worked great. Had a nice view of the beautiful Paris architecture across the way. Refrigerator in room is great. Bathroom was on the larger side! Staff was friendly and efficient. We had an early morning flight, and there was someone at the front desk to check us out. Would absolutely stay here again! One caution, elevator is small (2 people max - 1 person with luggage) We ended up putting one person in the elevator with 2 people's worth of bags, and then the other person took the stairs. Small but efficient!!
Little elevator ..I thought was cute! Friendly staff. Very close to train stations.
It was nice work it was situated close to everything.
Great location and nearby lots of restaurants and cafes. Was a bit loud at night and room got really warm. Says they have AC but it only seemed to blow heat. Bed was really tiny and soft for two people. Overall it was nice and clean as well as in a really great area.
Very friendly staff
Paris, I love you
I enjoyed my stay in Paris and in the hotel Berkeley very much. The hotel is situated in the centre of Montparnasse and there are close two tube stations of different lines. The room was small but cosy with a small refrigerator and a private bathroom. Everything was clean, the chambermaid came every day. I liked French breakfast with orange juice and there was a choice of coffees. The gentleman who served breakfast was very friendly and helpful if I needed any kind of help as well as the girl at the reception desk who worked the same days as he did.
Great place to stay
Wonderful location. The room was ok, functional and in an alright state of repair.
I had to be in paris for 4 nights close to my family so i reffered to this small hotel by them Great location great neighborhood facing an amazing multipex movie theater and right next to a great cafe the area is fantastic shoping fnac store etc Room was a bit small but window to the street and on the 4 th floor so no noise the cleaning ladies were very sweet provided extra pillows towels etc Bathroom very new and convenient so i will definitely come back
Young couple in Paris
Budget hotel for Paris. Enjoyable stay and friendly staff who are very relaxed and do their best to accommodate
Location excellent, staff very knowledgeable and accommodating. Very clean. The only problem was the shower - very low pressure and water warmed up very very slowly, so it was not warm enough. Other than that, it would have neen perfect!
Close to everything
Awful wifi. Clean but moldy smell. Well situated.
Well situated, but older and moldy. It was clean, but there was a smell in the room. Wifi was awful (either not working or cutting out often).
Room ok size, balcony good. Adequate desk, chair, wardrobe space. Fridge replenished with water daily. Room cleaned daily. Bed cover for the bottom of the bed had a hole in it and looked dirty/worn. Decor in need of updating, carpet looked dirty in parts. The bathroom was an adequate size albeit dated. The shower didn’t have enough pressure. John on the front desk was fab - warm, friendly and helpful. The WiFi did not always work. Overall you get what you pay for and this ticked the box. Excellent location.
Recommend
Easy to get to from the train. Lovely quiet room. Small but well appointed. Very much recommended
Reception staff were helpful I could watch some English TV
Excelente. Súper limpia y ordenada. Gente muy amable y súper bien ubicada.
This hotel should be a 2-star. It’s a dated, run down motel. The rooms do NOT resemble the photos online at all. The room was not as cleaned well and the location is noisy. Most importantly, it misrepresents what it offers.
The room was quiet even though it was in a relatively busy area. The staff was very friendly and spoke English well, and the room was clean.
This hotel was amazing, clean, and very friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend it.
Great location. Decent facilities. Friendly staff. Good value for money.
The receptionist and staff were very pleasant and the area around the hotel is very lively with bars and restaurants. However, the cleanliness of the hotel was sub-par and the property was quite run-down.
Perfect mini-stay
This hotel is a perfect place to stay for access to Gare Montparnasse, as well as being in a very central location. The room, like many budget Parisian hotels, was very small, but the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The kind receptionist was a delight, and it was perfect for our quick weekend stay.
Not so good
Not the best Hostel near Montparnasse No double glazing so a little noisy at night and the shower water is not very hot. In addition, there is no breakfast because they don't implement protocol with sanitary pass
This was the most helpful, kind and pleasant staff I have met in my European trip.
The lights didn’t work, the shower was jammed so the water spelled into the room
Good location with great shopping and restaurants.
Good hotel, right across the street from the Metro, Montparnasse Tower and lots of restaurants. Good size room, very clean.
The location of the hotel is amazing, I felt the pictures don’t reflect the real state of the property: the door number was written in pen and taped to the door!, broken nobs, broken shower support, a punch in the wall, to name a few...I felt the price reflects the high season not the conditions of the room I got.
Rooms are small. Rooms are clean. Good location. Good value.
The room smell, it’s tiny, it take 10 min to get hot water out of the faucet, it’s tuned down. The WiFi is terrible. Overly price for what it is
Tiny rooms, great location
The rooms are TINY, so be sure you’re traveling with someone you don’t mind being in extreme close quarters with. The breakfast is mediocre, coffee and bread. The staff are stellar, however. They are very kind and helpful. And the rooms are updated and very clean, however the rest of the hotel needs updating. The location cannot be beat.
Very connected.
The hotel is located in a very connected area. Metro Montparnasse which is a very connected line is right outside the door. Many buses also stop right outside. It is also close enough to tourist spots where you could walk if you wanted to. Lots of restaurants, coffee shops and stores nearby. The hotel is small but nice. We stayed in a room with two twin beds and they were small but comfortable. The hotel was clean. We did have an issue with the bathroom and had to switch rooms and the staff were not very friendly about the situation but did give us an upgraded room. For the price and location we would stay again. We did not try the breakfast.
Happy stay in Montparnasse
I spent 2 nights here with my mum for a city break. We were out all day and really only used the hotel to sleep. Staff are very friendly and were very nice about us losing the key. Rooms are small but clean. Nice shower and bathroom which was important to us. I would stay here again to explore the city as it is so accessible. The metro is literally a stone's throw and great restaurants/bakeries in the area. The pancake place up the road was amazing!
Near the metro entrance, staff Basaim and Veronique really helpful, the room so comfort and quite.
Perfect location, wonderful staff, rooms VERY small but exceptionally comfortable beds and terrific WiFi connection!
Great location and nice, helpful staff. Hotel is comfortable and clean.
Not as good pictures and description suggest
Hotel was ok overall. Just not as expected. And definitely pricey for what is being offered. Rooms are very small. Breakfast was at best mediocre. Photos and description didn’t really match the reality when we arrived at the hotel.
Disappointing hotel.
Breakfast on the first day was inedible. The bread was stale, bendy and you couldn't cut it. Croissant and pain au chocolat sad and tired. Very basic fruit juice, so forget freshly squeezed orange!. Breakfast on subsequent days not much better. They say bread etc. brought in fresh at 5:00am. Our suspicion is that bulk buy is defrosted at 5:00am. Service in the dining room pleasant and friendly. At 8 Euros for a pretty poor breakfast don't fall for the bed and breakfast deal. When I complained about the first breakfast they said there would be a reimbursement. On leaving after 3 nights they explained there was no way I could claim back through the hotel, I would have to do it through Hotelscom. This hotel is run on a shoe string. Couldn't find a spare bulb for bedside lamp but one did appear later, thank you. Boss was never there. Behind the counter staff just standing in. You need to sleep with window shut because it's so noisy in the street all night. Our bedroom was tiny, you could just squeeze between the end of the bed and the TV, they did explain the picture was one of a superior room. So the picture on the web site is a bit naughty. Wifi on fifth floor drops in and out.
Small rooms but good service
Rooms are small but well soundproof. Location is incredible and staff is really nice and friendly.
Super convenient location- close to the metro, cafes, night spots, shops, McDonalds and active nightlife. Metro is easy to navigate but opted for sunny strolls around Paris. 25-30 minute walk to The Louvre, D’Orsay, Eiffel Tower, etc. plenty to do at night within the immediate area. Hotel was friendly and helpful. Small but comfortable and a good home base for exploring Paris.
The location and price is right
The greatest draw of this hotel is the location, literally 2 minutes from the Metro Station, with all kinds of bistros (OK quality) and restaurants nearby. The interior is clean and comfortable. I especially like the two tall windows that are typically European. The small antique elevator did not bother me as I was one person and am not big to start off with. The minuses were no way to make hot water in the room, and one front staff was abrupt with a stern face while the others though friendly spoke very broken English and offered little help about local tips. Considering the price, general cleanliness and location, I would stay there again.
Friendly Staff
Great hotel and friendly staff. However, the WIFI was down for the whole duration of stay which made work difficult.
Hotel Berkeley
This is a very nice place to stay at within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower and numerous other tourist sites. The staff were very helpful with any questions we had. The bed was more comfortable than others we had on our vacation in Europe.
Marnparnasse and More...
I booked the single room... the location of which was on the top floor with a balcony and a view looking out over Rue de Rennes and beyond. Basic 'boutique', light, modern room with everything one would wish for to sleep comfortably, and prepare, prior to stepping out into the excitement and beauty of Paris. Perfect for short stays. The larger rooms with ample beds looked delightful too.
Excellent hotel for central Paris.
Very good and convenient. Very polite reception; cosy rooms; good view; close to main attractions.
Wonderful location near Montparnasse Station.
Always stay overnight three, four times a year. Staff very knowledgeable and pleasant. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Perfect location for trains and Metro.
Perfect Location for all needs!
Great location! Room was modern and cleaned well. Subway at door step. Location is highlight of hotel.
Don't want to recommend because then you will know
Fantastic location...staff are great! Breakfast fresh, rooms clean,
Basic hotel close to main train station
We booked this hotel as we needed something close to the train station to catch an early train the next morning. It was clean and tidy. Basic but it served its purpose and the staff were nice and friendly. Close to eateries as well which was convenient.
Great location
Comfortable with a friendly staff
Pleasant hotel with clean rooms and good services
Fine small and friendly hotel in Montparnasse. We will return at a future time.
Basic but ok place to stay in Paris
Handy place to stay for my business trip but breakfast was a bit pointless
Good hotel
Nice hotel with a friendly reception at a great location. The only comment from my side would be on the hotel's wifi. During peak hours it was slow and the necessity to relogin every two hours was annoying.
Fabulous value for money when considering the location beside Gare Montparnasse
Correct
Chambre supérieure correct. Petit dej à eviter pour le prix !!!
Every was very good. Small but very clean. The bresfas was excelente very good location. Very Safe place and the personal very profesional
Good location but wear-down hotel.
Pro: location! Con: price is too high for this 3 *** hotel No hot water the two days we stayed here. Variable temp in aircon. Clogged drain in shower resulted flooded bathroom floor. No late checkout. Breakfast..... not impressive.
Agradable
Our room was toward the street and it was relatively noisy during the night.
Thanks

Very good staying at hotel Berkley, room was good size and a decent size bathroom, downside to room was the amount of milk, tea and coffee in the room fot morning. And have 3 pillows for a large double
