Great staff who went above and beyond, excellent location. Fridge in the room worked great, clean towels everyday and lovely shower. Highly recommend!

Really good cheaper option when compared to other hotels in the area, would stay there again without hesitation

This hotel is a great no frills option that is well located around Museumplein with plenty of shopping and night life options.

Better lighting in room would be nice. My friend fell down the steep stairs. Amsterdam is nice and the room was more than okay Fairly clean and great location right in the museum plaza and you walk outside and see the Gucci store

Very very small for a moderately expensive price. Very nice staff however, and the shared facilities are kept clean. Lack of soap holders meant I used one of my water cups to transport soap between my room and the showers, and there was nowhere to put soap and shampoo but the floor/cup. Stairs are incredibly steep.

Convenient location and friendly service

Really great location! Right by Museumplein and easy to get to from Schiphol using the 397 bus. I stayed in a three person room with some friends. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. The stairs are steep with narrow steps, but they're average from what I've seen of the Netherlands. My main complaint is with the bathroom. The floor of the shower isn't at all separated from the rest of the bathroom, meaning water can seep everywhere when the three of us showered back-to-back. Also, it takes a full day for the steam to clear.

Great area. Rooms were comfortable and clean. There is only no elevator, so you'll have to be ok carrying your suitcases up stairs. I would stay there again.

One night stay in Amsterdam

We booked quite last-minute and were very happy with our booking! It was a small space, but the bed and bathroom in a central area with wifi was exactly what we needed. Clean, comfortable, with an easy check-in and -out.

Great hotel near the museum district. Very short walk to great food, shopping, and nightlife. The stairs are steep, but this seems to discourage people who elect to come home wasted and be loud. Other guests were quiet during our stay and the balcony was a nice addition.

Really lovely

Was surprised with how clean and lovely the hotel room is. The shower is really nice and the beds were comfortable. Was really happy with our stay considering it's an overall 1.5 star. The area the hotel is in was perfect too! The only downside i'd say is the stairs are really steep but obviously this can't be helped! The service was average. We believe our room was tidied and hoovered whilst we were out- would of appreciated being told this. Also, we got back quite late one night to discover our room cards didn't work so we couldn't get into our room at all. This was very stressful and we were unsure why it happened- however a man was nearby to help us.

No elevator!

Reception guy not very friendly. Had to carry heavy luggage up 2 flights of stairs!

Misleading pictures

This room was tiny! The bathroom was a small square shower with a stinky curtain and a toilet. The sink and all exposed piping were outside the bathroom. The bed was comfy and it was a great location, but I would NOT stay here again.

Okay for a get away

Me and my two best friends stay for three nights for a get away break from the UK. It is confused when you arrive because the reception is in different building and the stair from both building is a nightmare. The bedroom was nice and tidy, however we found piece of Orange under the bed which it had mold on which it was disgrace. The bed is very comfort and clean so overall the room is 6 out 10 and the hotel is 5 out of 10.

Far to expensive for the hotel facilities. Nice location.

Great location and great service

Great location, close to many tourist attractions, service was great too. No elevator and steep stairs wont work for everyone.

Good starting point.

This hotel was next to everything we were looking for, there is a super market in walking distance as well as a park behind the hotel and there is a boat canal rentals or tours which I totally recommend since it shows you all the main places to hit and you get a good view of where everything else is at. The hotel has bike rentals at a very affordable cost, nice guy at counter, we were accidentally locked out late in the night which was after front counter hours and someone was there to help with no extra cost. I can't wait to go back!

Very convenient to the best attractions

Room is small, but very clean...stairs are a nightmare, but all buildings in Amsterdam in the older sections have similar steps...very close to museums and other tourist attractions

Smelly Hostel above designer Stores.

The hostel stinks of toilets, the rooms are filthy, the stairs are 80 degrees steep. The TV in the room didn't work. Glad I took my sleeping bag. The breakfast is rationed. The cheese was last weeks. The cutlery was disgusting. Nicest things been able to open you window. Amsterdam is great city spoiled by greed.

Buena calidad precio y localización

Nuestra experiencia fue buena, la localización es genial, ya que está en el barrio de los museos y puedes ir a pie a la mayoría de ellos. La habitación tampoco estuvo mal, tenía terraza, un poco sucia, pero al ser otoño no la abrimos, la ducha es un poco lio porque está a ras de suelo y las escaleras, como en la mayoría de Amsterdam, son un poco infernales con maletas, porque son muy empinadas y debes subir dos veces, porque la recepción está en la puerta de al lado (también con escaleras), todo lo demás la verdad es que sin queja.

Hotel avec un très bon rapport qualité/prix

Chambre spacieuse, avec 3 lits simples, belle hauteur sous plafond et parquet donnant à la chambre une belle luminosité ainsi qu'un style simple et élégant. Salle de bain propre, simple, petite mais bien agencée. Isolation phonique moyenne. Hotel très bien localisé dans Amsterdam, à deux pas des musées et d'un immense parc magnifique.

Très pratique

L'établissement est bien placé, a peu de chambres et est très bien tenu. Le personnel est très serviable (serviettes supplémentaires, assiettes...) et la chambre confortable avec un lavabo, pratique puisque les toilettes et la salle de bain sont en commun avec 3 autres chambres. Seuls points négatifs : escaliers un peu étroits et raides et absence de lampe de chevet (juste un plafonnier).

Hotel cumple, pero con sobrecoste

El hotel tiene buena ubicación y cumple su funcionalidad, pero nos han cobrado 40€ de más al precio inicial establecido (sin ningún tipo de justificación), y el personal es un poco seco.

L'espace salle de bain n'était pas propre et vraiment trop petit. Le ménage laisse à désirer. Le rapport qualité prix n'est pas bon du tout 355 euros pour 3 nuits sans petit déjeuner, c'est très cher pour ce que c'est. Seul point positif, l'emplacement.

oui, l'emplacement et la 10e année, j'aimerais qu'il y ait un grand miroir pour voir tout le corps.

Hotel discreto, bien ubicado, un poco alejado del centro, con limpieza diaria, discreto en servicios pero aceptable.

The location is great. It is close to designers’ stores, the bus station to the airport, main museums, and downtown. The personnel was very supportive and helped me with all I needed. The best!

Hotel excelente custo benefício, ótima localização, principais pontos turísticos são próximos, fizemos todo nosso roteiro a pé. A única informação que acho necessária para passar é: o hotel não possui elevador, e as escadas são ingrimes, entretanto, típica construção holandesa, embora assuste no início não vejo como impecilio, meus pais são idosos e tiraram de letra.

Worth the price

It’s a nice hotel for that price class. A couple of days there was an unpleasant stink from the cloaks, but overall the hygien is ok. It is located very nicely on walking distance from the whole city center. Nice hotel employees. We had a small refridgerator and borrowed a water boiler from the reception.

Très bon séjour

J'ai passé un très bon séjour à l'hôtel billington, hôtel très propre et bien situé. Le ménage de la chambre était fait tous les jours. Je recommande cet hôtel.

Kleines Hotel in perfekter Lage

Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Bett war bequem, Badezimmer sehr schön und neu. Handtücher jeden Tag frisch. Stufen zum Zimmer hinauf sind sehr steil, ist aber normal in Amsterdam.

Reception officer is highbrow. I do not recommend this hotel for high sessions. Because too expensive.

Average hotel

There is not elevator; the hotel does not inform about that. There are 4 floors!! The room is nice but the cleaning is not good. In three days they didn't replace our towels. It's amazin that is not possilbe leave the lugagge in recepction. For the cost of the hotel it's one of services we expect. After booking, the hotel charge a advance fee but when you pay at the hotel, they don't discount the advance fee; then we have to wait some days to receive the refound. It's very band method.

El hotel es bueno, sus áreas comunes están descuidadas pero son pequeñas, en realidad la habitación y el baño son limpios y cómodos, lo malo es que la regadera y wc estaban en un piso más alto que mi habitación lo que le resta comodidad.

Buen hotel excelente ubucacion

Hyvä sijainti, mutta huoneet epäsiistit.

Hotelli on hyvällä sijainnilla lähellä ratikkapysäkkiä ja keskustaa, mutta huoneet olivat alkeelliset ja likaiset eikä huoneessa ollut kokovartalopeiliä. Wc oli ok. Henkilökunta ystävällistä. Hotellissa oli todella korkeat ja jyrkät portaat, eli ei paras vaihtoehto huonokuntoiselle tai paljon matkatavaraa mukanaan kantavalle. Hotelli sopii parhaiten nuorille kaveriporukoille, jotka viettävät enemmän aikaa muualla kuin hotellissa ja joille hotellin hyvä sijainti on tärkeä.

Hotel with a great location, ONLY!

The hotel location was great, just that. We felt bad smell in the hallways, as well as a strong cigarette smell in the room, and the bathroom also had unpleasant odor. It was worth just for the location and kindness of the staff.

Hotel mediocre in una zona incredibilmente ricca

L'hotel nel complesso é accettabile, non ha grandi pretese e allo stesso modo non bisogna averne nel momento della prenotazione. Le camere sono piccole ma estremamente calde (nonostante i 7 gradi esterni abbiamo dovuto aprire le finestre), la colazione ricchissima e molto variegata. Io, 23 enne disilluso e per nulla viziato, ci tornerei. Il personale è disponibilissimo, anche per spiegazioni sugli itinerari migliori da seguire per godere al massimo della città.
