Staff was so helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The rooms were recently renovated, so nice. And the spa area was beautiful.

Excellent boutique hotel in a great location. Far enough away, but not too far away from everything. Room was roomy, comfortable and clean, but a bit noisy if you're below heavy walkers. Paying up for the Matterhorn view balcony was worth the money, just don't appreciate the smoking policy on the balconies. I don't smoke and don't like sitting on the balcony smelling other people smoke. Service was good and breakfast was better than average with cook-to-order eggs. All things considered, I would definitely stay there again.

We liked the staff, excellent breakfast and location. Our room, while nice, had a shower fan that never shut off and the room was very warm with no air conditioning.

The staff were all helpful and welcoming. The transportation service from and back to the train station was much appreciated. The room was wonderful. Although we didn’t have a direct Matterhorn view, they are available. The greatest breakfast buffet of any hotel was another high point of the stay

Wish I can give the bellerive 100 stars! Really awesome staff who were so accommodating and friendly. Treated us like they already knew us and went above and beyond to help with anything we needed. When we come back we definitely will be staying here again. Amenities, location and atmosphere were great.

We really enjoined our stay at this property. The personnel is very nice, rooms very clean and conformable and breakfast is great. Just 7 minutes walk to Matterhorn-Express, the hotel is very central but quiet at the same time.

This is the most amazing hotel I have ever stayed at. We had a Matterhorn view room which was spectacular and breathtaking, the staff were all so so kind, helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and the facilities were exceptional and so close to the bus stop!! Honestly an incredible hotel, cannot recommend it enough :)

The staff at Bellerive was exceptional. We were early, our forms were ready and they upgraded the room for our friends because it was their wedding anniversary. They were helpful finding dinner reservations and all requests.

The staff was incredible. Beautiful views from our balcony. The included spa had a steam room, jacuzzi and sauna which we fully enjoyed. We considered staying another night after we saw the room for the first time! We would definitely recommend this hotel for an enjoyable stay.

Stay at Zermatt.

Room is clean with nice view and good amenities. Staff was helpful and breakfast is good. Only draw back is the room has limited airflow, could get stuffy if the balcony door is not opened.

Felt at home

We were welcomed at the train station by the owner and taken with our luggage to the hotel. They pay attention to every detail of the hotel from cleanliness to fine fixtures and amenities. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the staff is always willing to help explain opportunities of the town or schedule a dinner/ski reservation. The owners are hands on and well respected by their staff. This is a winner and I'd definitely go back to stay with them.

Amazing hotel and staff

We have had a fantastic stay and guarantee you will not find friendlier staff. Whilst we stayed in winter this would also be a perfect hotel for summer. The hotel is well placed in town and the owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern and a good size, with lots of creative storage. The beds are super comfy. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty with lots to choose from. Everything about this hotel is perfect and would throughly recommend you staying here.

Amazing hotel

Amazing hotel, with lovely owners who helped us with everything that we needed. We had the sky room which showed amazing views of the matterhorn on the clear days. Very close to the centre of town for the pubs and restaurants. Ski lifts are only a 5 minute walk away as well

Easy transfer from tasch to hotel. Perfect location, close to all attractions and shops, yet a few blocks away provided quiet and sense of home by the warm welcome from the 2nd generation owners of the chic hideaway. Rooms were modern with everything one would want..one in our party upgraded to deluxe room which provides a sitting area for 30 f a night. Breakfast was good.with fresh omelets and fresh squeezed orange juice. Spa area was welcome each day after hiking with its jacuzzi, steam room and suana, along with stretching tables. Fire pit in lobby area was warm and cozy spot for nightcap. All in all a 9.0 out of 10.

Our one night stay over trip through Zermatt found us fortunate to have booked this lovely hotel. The owners are amazingly hospitable, and you will discover that the hotel is charming and well appointed from the moment you enter the property. The location is ideal for a stroll through town and is extremely close to shopping and dining. What a treat!

It is one of the best hotels that I have used before in Europe. The facility is not big, but very compact, neat and clean.

The Matterhorn View Room was exceptional. Very happy with that. There was some food on the ground near the door, looked like chocolate from previous guests melted near the door but not cleaned. Otherwise a pleasant stay.

Beautiful hotel recommended

Overall stay is really good. I arrived after their normal work hours in the evening, they have actually arranged a taxi to pick us up from the train station on their cost. Rooms are very well designed and arranged. All drinks is fridge are free of charge is also a plus. Breakfast is well prepared. All staff are super friendly. The only draw back is one of the rooms we had got was located on third floor. We can see the Matterhorn but all are covered by the hotel roof except the horn that is sticking out. I may consider that partially Matterhorn view.

It was so awesome and so relaxing. I am sad I only got to spend one night only. Definitely will come back. Breakfast was delicious and the rooms were the perfect mix of rustic and chic. I also tried a full body massage and it was so relaxing, definitely recommend it if you want to relax during your stay in Zermatt. Lovely experience.

It was our best time in Switzerland!!

Though the hotel was abit of a distance from the main Zermatt train station, it was located right next to the bridge for the best view of the Matterhorn! They also had a free shuttle car service to pick up and send you to the train station for check-in and out which was so convenient. All you had to do was call them at the train station (via a free phone service machine) or get help from the tourist centre also at the train station to help you call them up. We stayed for 3 nights. Our room was clean, comfortable and well-replenished with everything we needed. The bed and pillows were super comfy. Would well have thought they were a 5 star hotel!! Breakfast was the best I've had in the whole of Switzerland, with fresh orange juice, salmon, meats... Could have the same spread every morning and still look forward to it the next day.

The location is good in Zermatt, but I got a very small room that heated up to 120 degrees F if the sun was shining. The manager claims it is much sought after because it has a Matterhorn view, but I found it uncomfortable. Fortunately, the staff moved me immediately upon request, and I only wish I had asked sooner.

Perfect Spot in Zermatt

My girlfriend and I recently spent a couple of nights in Zermatt and were extremely pleased with our stay at Hotel Bellerive. We splurged for a Matterhorn view room and although the first day was cloudy, the view on the second day made it well worth it. The room was very well appointed with amenities like blankets, slippers and a Nespresso machine. The bathroom was extremely clean and modern while the main room nicely balanced modern and rustic décor. The immediate area of the hotel was perfect: only a short walk to the main road's shopping/dining options yet far enough away to offer more peace and quiet. To top it all off, the staff simply could not have been nicer or more helpful. If you're visiting Zermatt, I would highly recommend the Bellerive!

This hotel gets 5 stars in every category, upscale modern room, great staff, amazing breakfast and even a free shuttle back to the train station. Location was just a short walk to the town centre. Definately would recommend this hotel.

Excellent visit

We had an amazing time in Zermatt and it was with the guidance from Katja and her staff. They gave hiking routes, activities and many recommendations. Everything was perfect! Highly recommend!!

Friendly boutique hotel

Hotel was charming, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The lobby has a very inviting fire place with seating all around. The only negatives were the ability to hear the neighboring room's conversation and the outdoor bar across the street, which was pretty raucous. All the hotels in town are very close together, so if you find it difficult to sleep with noise outside, whatever hotel you choose in Zermatt, better bring earplugs.

Beautiful boutique hotel in Zermatt

This was one of the most charming hotels and towns we have ever visited. This boutique family owned hotel was absolutely perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect offering us daily suggestions on activities and restaurants. The views of Matterhorn were amazing and the town was full of great dining and shopping. The location was walking distance to everything. The hotel was modern with a mountain feel. Our room was gorgeous and the complimentary breakfast was the best we've had in Europe! We will be back!!

Wonderful family run hotel

I enjoy staying at family run hotels but do not want to compromise on comfort or convenience. This hotel was the only 3 star hotel that I stayed in during my time in Switzerland. Even the 4 star hotels couldn't compare to the bellerive. My husband and I agreed that this was the hotel that we liked the most. The view was nice.We stayed in a deluxe room for the view, and it was well worth it. I liked the unique and tasteful decor. definitely a hotel with the most value for money.

After a bumpy start, the staff made everything perfect for us. They are to be commended for making an all out effort to make our trip enjoyable. Safe to say, that the staff and ownership are very reliable. Thanks !!!

Beautiful hotel in Zermatt

We had a fantastic time at the hotel Bellerive. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the train station and in the opposite direction a 10 minute walk to the tram for the Matterhorn. It is very close to the bridge which has a fantastic view of the Matterhorn. Our room included a balcony which we enjoyed.

really nice hotel, modern but not over-trendy

it feels good in here. a little of comfy and a little classy. it's a beautiful place, near great food and of course all the outdoor stuff. it was quiet, the lift worked well, views are good and people are nice. i would stay here again.

Very impressive hotel!!

Apart from fabulous Matterhorn view, after an evening cold walked outside the main street, the hotel are provided a very nice firewood aroma with warm & cosy ambient. Excellent service, very clean and comfortable. I will definitely come back.

We travelled with our 11 month old. Not only is it refreshing to stay somewhere that is so well equipped for babies (& not just the token amount) but genuinely welcoming, clean, beautiful and relaxing for us. This truly is a superior hotel. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night. There are not many places I want to go back to, but we loved it here & I can't wait to go back.

Gem in the heart of Zermatt!

This hotel is sweet! It is a 4+ star is MY book (and I'm sure by most standards), though they are officially given 3 stars. Great views, cozy in winter I'm sure. Fireplace in lobby, wonderful outside seating area. Great breakfast included. Fast free Wi-Fi and extremely helpful staff. Picked us up at train station. Who could ask for anything more?

Love Zermat!!

Love this hotel!! Only thing I'd add is take some ear plugs, since there is no AC you must sleep with the windows open. Especially during this hot spell. We had some, so, no problem. Wonderful staff. I'd stay again in a heartbeats!!

Hotel Bellerive - Pleasant stay

Super hotel with really friendly and helpful staff. Only downside is that there is a bar and nightclub to the western side and there were people on the street outside making noise until 4am during our stay.

Charming Hotel In a central Location

Just returned from an early season ski break, fantasic hotel, friendly staff and the attention to detail sets the Bellerive apart. I have been visiting Zermatt for the last fifteen years and have stayed in most of the village this is definitely one of the best.Thank you for a wonderful stay, I will be back.

The room was beautifully updated and decorated. The breakfast was fantastic. The staff was very accommodating. We will return if we make it back to zermatt.

Great place to stay

It was our third visit to Zermatt and we knew how competitive the place is. There are many good hotels and restaurants in this town and the number is increasing year by year. Hotel Bellerive offers very high standard overall. The service and the facility is excellent and the breakfast was the best we had for this class. The Deluxe room was spacy and comfortable, some of the superior rooms we saw are very small ,rather for one person than two. We had trouble with the room temperature and had to keep the window open to be woken up with the party goers going home at 4am from the night club next door. These small issues aside, we would definitely recommend this place.

Nice family run hotel

My wife and I were picked up from the train station on time and the checkin did not take time at all. very quick. it was all ready. Very nice location - center of everything in Zermatt. The breaskfast was standard and pretty good. They even have the option of breakfast in bed if you wake up past 10am - though we were always there beforehand. Only issue we had was that they did not have the facility to iron clothes (they do have laundry service though). I asked for an extra 30 min to checkout as we were repacking, but the lady said she could only give us 15 minutes. I don't know how the extra 15 minutes would hurt her :I Also, for a honeymoon couple, I didn't expect two separate single beds joined together.

The proprietors , husband and wife, are very professional, efficient, warm and smiling. You feel immediately at home and cozy. I certainly will recommend this hotel and will go back.

Loved this hotel

Very comfortable and well appointed small hotel. The owners, who run the hotel, are friendly and accommodating. Loved the location of the hotel as it is within easy walking distance to everything. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Zermatt.

Great value for tailored service

My stay at Bellerive was faultless. The value at the end of the season I thought was great for the quality of the room and service. The staff were very helpful with every request. The room was clean and well appointed. The wellness centre was a nice extra. I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again.
