Good stay close to old town
Very good breakfast. Fantastic location. Available parking.
Great place to stay. We totally enjoyed it
Everything was good.
The building is old and full of charm. I had a corner room with three big windows so lots of light. It is about 15 mins to walk to Old Town sights. Included breakfast was very good. They even gave me a to-go breakfast bag before my early morning flight. (I did not accept it as I would have to consume some of it before security and my hands were full, but I appreciated the gesture.) I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
Central location and pleasant hotel.
A very good location, pleasant staff and an excellent breakfast.
It's an okay stay with a bit of walking (18 to 25 minutes) to the main train or bus station and a bit of a walk to the main town square and dining areas. Breakfast is included in the stay
It was good value for money and was very clean with comfortable beds.
Perfect choice close to Old Town
A 15 minute walk away from the Old Town or the Jewish Quarters. Parking. Excellent breakfast and very attentive staff in the breakfast room. Small downsides - no fridge and youth screaming very loud in the yard both nights. Will definitely come back.
No air conditioning
Nice place
It was nice and clean room, only one thing was missing -a fridge. The food was good. Walking distance to Old town.
Perfect.
Pleasant enough
Good location 10 minutes walk to old town Krakow Cleanliness not the best in the room and you could hear other guests talking in their rooms Breakfast & staff was really good
Great value hotel!
Great value hotel a few minutes walk to the key attractions and train station. Helpful staff, comfortable bed in relatively spacious room with good breakfast selection. Well maintained and clean. No complaints for the cost, would stay again.
Nice hotel
Nice hotel with friendly staff near center. Good breakfast.
Recommended. Good breakfast. Big room and clean bathroom. Very close to city center
Lovely clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was too much bother for them. Breakfast was lovely too. On the mornings that we were going out on trips early they provided us with food and water instead of the breakfast. Hotel is in a good location, 15 min walk to the main square. We would definitely return to this hotel.
An excellent small family run hotel, close to (20 mins walk max.)all services and sights.
3 nights in Kraków
Lovely hotel in a quiet neighbourhood- felt safe walking back after dark. About 15 minute brisk walk to the main square. Would stay here again if we returned to Kraków
Ok for a night or two
The hotel is not in the best location for sightseeing. It is a bit away from the main square. The hotel room was nice except the first night there were no shades on the windows and the street lights were very bright and shined directly in our faces on the bed. They did fix this the 2nd night once we mentioned it. The reception was very nice, parking was a bit tight. The breakfast was good, but as a bar area at night it was a little creepy and felt like a basement—smelled a little musty. It was a very good price so the value was fairly good considering.
STAY HERE!
I love this hotel... stayed twice! The location is ideal--a quick stroll to old town and to Kazimierz. Also the botanic garden is around the corner-ish. Fabulous breakfast, wonderful staff. I can't say enough!
Perfect location, fabulous hotel
I chose this hotel based on customer reviews, I've been to Krakow before. I was looking for some place between old town and kazimierz there was no place I could have found better. The staff was great. The breakfast plentiful. Convenience can't be beaten. I just can't say enough about it.
The staff was so friendly and accommodating, everything was clean, but the room was slightly dated and the property does not have air conditioning, though the weather was very nice when I was there so we didn't need, but could imagine it getting very warm in a room. Other then the air conditioning everything was wonderful and about a 10-15 minute walk to the city Jewish & centre, which are both beautiful with amazing food options.
Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable, clean rooms and only 15 minutes from bus train stations. Breakfast varied and good quality products.Would highly recommend
The hotel was nicely situated to access a lot of Krakow's tourist attractions. The reception staff were very accommodating and helpful, in answering our queries and also pro-actively assisting us with some of our planned tours.
We visited Krakow for the Christmas market. Hotel Batory is a lovely 29 room hotel in a quiet street which is a 10 min stroll away from the market square. The Hotel staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful and our room was lovely and clean. The food was excellent, I particularly enjoyed the range of food on offer for breakfast. Although we didn’t use it, the tram stop is very close to the hotel. We are planning our return trip to Krakow and look forward to staying at Hotel Batory again.
Not a very comfortable stay, beds extremely small and uncomfortable. When checking in the lady who serviced us had very good English and was pleasant, from then on it went downhill, the night porter/ evening staff were horrendously rude and unhelpful, as you are front of house in a hotel it is your job to answer guest questions, we are in fact paying your wages, if you do not like your job don't be in it. There is no need to treat customers so poorly. Breakfast was a shambles, food was cold, even those served in a 'hot plate' and was not being topped up well or quickly. Not one member of staff knew how to say please or thank you and quite frankly the staff let the hotel down tremendously.
Lovely hotel near to the centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely bedroom. So pleased to have the heating on when we arrived. Thank you.
Great hotel. Close to the square and we were able to park free. The room was clean and the staff was very helpful and kind. The breakfast was great.
Great hotel
Great hotel. Staff extremely helpful. Would recommend to anyone. Whatever we asked for - tea facilities, extra pillows etc was no problem. Breakfast was fantastic, so much choice.
Amazing hotel!
What a fantastic hotel, great service, beautiful and comfortable rooms. We have stayed in many hotels in Krakow over last few years and this one is our favourite.
Nice hotel with except helpful staff
The hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and very helpful and the hotel was within reasonable walking distance of the places of interest.I would happily stay there again and I would recommend it to others.
Deceptive advertising
The description stated that the hotel is located "close to Brama Florianska". The distance is actually 1.2 km. Also, this is a hotel, not a VRBO.
Stay at batory hotel was excellent , though room small ( didnt pay much) spotless all staff very friendly and helpful easy walking distance to old town square and jewish quarter would definately recommend stay at this hotel
Great Hotel.
We all had a great stay. Breakfast was lovely, close to everything. Thank You.
Great budget stay
The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. There isn't much directly around the hotel but it's really easy walking distance to the old town, Kasimierz, shopping centres etc. Fantastic value.
Would definately stay here again
staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and had diner on our first night which was of a good standard and reasonably priced. Not much choice in dessert though. The bar and coffee area could have been a bit better and tried to have a drink at 9pm on Sunday evening but it was closed! Nice room, very clean and the staff were certainly the Hotel's best asset. Very good English!!
Nice hotel, good location
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Batory. Lovely room, spotlessly clean
Amazing Krakow
Great location, close enough to everything, especially transport links but far enough away to be quiet at night when recharging your tourist batteries. Nice relaxed dining area with a good choice of breakfast items. Very helpful front desk staff (tram, train routes etc) and a friendly welcome. Would definitely visit again!
Honest and good Hotel
Great feeling as soon as you arrive at the reception, very polite, and allocated room immediately, comfortable clean room, lovely choices at breakfast, room cleaned daily, again by very friendly staff
It is what it is, A good and Honest hotel.
Stay for a week from 13/20 Sept 2017 solo. Pleasant reception on arrival, and very quickly allocated a nice comfortable double room. Room cleaned daily, and staff very helpful, lovely choice of breakfast in a nice compact dining area. Again staff were pleasant. Due to being on the move most of the time, I only had two main meals in the hotel, and I was very impressed. The hotel is in a neighbourhood, and is very quiet, walking distance to central, and two lovely take always with fresh salads, pizza, and fresh cakes at next corner. Second visit to Krakow, first visit I stayed in the Hilton Garden Inn, if I return I would go for the Batory with the personal touch.
Perfect hotel, excellent service and great location
We choose this hotel for it's location and free parking. Hotel is excellent. We booked a deluxe room, which is bigger and has an air conditioning. Room is spacious. Bedroom and living room are separated. Some people call it outdated, but it isn't. Furniture is east--European style. Everything worked fine, nothing broken. Parking spaces are limited and small. For a standard car, it's difficult to park. But it's free. Neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. Not a single time we felt unsafe. Even when it was dark. It's a short walk to old town. Just a 10 minute walk and you are at the main square. Breakfast was excellent. Lot of choices, hot and cold. Staff was also very friendly and I helpful. Gave us plenty of tips and recommendations. Speaking perfectly English. Wifi is free and overall a good reception. But at peak hours, it was very slow. There were no coffee facilities in the room or in the lobby. There is a tv in the room, but have only Polish channnels. No big issues. If we come back to Krakow, we definitely will stay here again !
Lovely tradition style hotel
Loved the Batory hotel. It was spotless, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We like hotels like this tradition, rather than modern but the Batory had all the modern facilities you would need. Cannot fault it at all!
It was OK for 3 day break
What can I say...? 3 stars hotel, but a low 3 in my opinion...Our room was rather small but clean.Double bed -REALLY SMALL double and we are not big people so didn't sleep very well.Opposite hospital so quite often we could hear an ambulance on sirens-all day and night ...Ugly view on the car park but obviously we didn't stay to look out of the window. Breakfast nice but boring, same food every morning, not much choice with fruit. Staff was really nice friendly ...10 min walk to the Town Square but rather ugly and unpleasant walk trough some ugly roads and train line...Weather was hot -some of the rooms have a fan but our had an air con -which we had to pay for ????Can't remember how much but wasn't cheap...! First time in our travels we had to pay for Air Con ???Disappointing.... Well,as I said, cheap and cheerful, you get what you pay for.Won't be recommending it or staying again.
Nice hotel which is kept very clean. Good breakfast. Situated about 15 min walk from old town
Central hotel, everything is in walking distance.
Krakow is a must place to visit. Very clean city with such a brutal history. Lovely family run hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast, in quiet area of city.
Spacious accommodation
The room is spacious and clean with modern amenities but the furniture is in need of replacement. Hearty breakfast.
Very Good
Small Hotel with excellent staff, great location in Old Town.
Worst experience ever!
I will never book another hotel with hotels.com. If you want to know why contact me or ask Mary Case number: s#233a2350 Thanks, Jason
Pre Easter city break with friends
Very helpful reception staff.Organised 2 trips for us at short notice. Comfortable bed, powerful shower.Occasionsl noise from departing ambulances nearby. 10 minute walk from the main square, maybe 15 minutes from the railway station. Large selection at self service breakfast, very tasty. Loved the city, walked miles, guided tours both on foot and by golf buggy. Also trips to Auschwitz and the Salt Mines, both I would consider must dos.4 nights was ideal. The open air weekend market added to the atmosphere.
Excellent stay.
My wife and I visited this hotel for 5 days April 2017. It is a small budget hotel and provided excellent value for money. e were welcomed by the reception upon our arrival and check in was quick and efficient. The room was semi divided into the bedroom and a sitting area both quite adequate for our purposes. The bed was very comfortable and changed upon request. Bathroom a nice size and well fitted out. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant and gave us a great service and advice about spots to visit and directions. The only slight issue was the low level of lighting in the main room but this was more to siting of lights and no great issue. Would recommend to any one needing very reasonable accommodation within easy distance of Krakow centre. Many thanks to all staff for making our visit so pleasurable.
Five Stars from a California traveler!
Great location, walking distance to Old Town Square. Free Parking and free Internet worked really well. Complementary breakfast had lots of good choices, even for Vegan/Vegetarians! Room was clean, comfortable and spacious, and even though we were at the ground level, there was no noise. Very friendly and helpful staff!
The hotel was very nice. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was very tasty and the room was clean.
Great walking distance for everywhere
Me and my partner love walking so this hotel was in a perfect spot from everywhere. 15 - 30 minutes walk to everything you need to see. If you were tired at the end of the day it cost you £5 in a taxi to get back. Krakow is amazing with lots of hidden gems. Bars, restaurants, history and culture. Food was fab and drinks were not expensive at all. We ate out all day every day, eating drinking - 2 course lunch with a bottle of wine and also evening dinner again 2 course with wine and drinks. This was anywhere between £60 - £90 depending on how much you had to drink for the whole day. And believe me we did not hold back on what food we ordered. Absolute value and the place is different at night as it is in the day. Well worth a visit.
Basic, cosy hotel close to main square
Hotel is 10 mins max. walk to square. Clean and warm with daily maid service, great powerful shower, continental breakfast, safe box in room and complimentary water in room. Close to hospital so sirens occasionally but did not bother us. Overall fine hotel for a city break in Krakow.
Great priced hotel, a short walk to the city cente
We arrived in the early hours due to our flight being delayed & were checked in speedily. Room was clean & comfortable & in a quiet area of the hotel as I had requested. Bottles of water were a nice touch. Buffet style breakfast was great with a variety of hot & cold foods, yoghurts, fruit & pastries. Reception staff were very helpful & loaned us a travel adaptor as I forgot to pack one. Also gave us directions & advice on how to get to places easily. Although check out was at 11am, we were able to leave our cases at the hotel whilst we went on a trip to the Salt Mine & could change clothes & freshen up in the large bathroom before departing for the airport. We would definitely recommend this hotel due to it's location, value for money, cleanliness & lovely staff.
Good hotel 15min walk from main train station
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate. Hotel is in a quiet area, 15min walk from the central train station. Kettle available on request at reception.
gorgeous rooms perfect location
Hotel was very clean and pretty. Matches photos and room description. No problems during our stay Breakfast offered a large choice and was delicious. Staff go out of there way to help. We checked out early one morning so was made a pack up so we could ear before we flew. City is amazing and worth visiting!
Hotel Batory
Our stay in Hotel Batory was excellent. The room was very comfortable and very clean. The staff were extremely helpful especially one of the receptionists called Sylvia. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again when we return to Krakow.
Nice hotel
Lovely hotel only 10 minute walk into old town , glad we had a transfer as hotel is down side streets that we would of missed . But once there it was easy to get to everything. Staff very nice and very helpful . Would go again .
Great place to stay
The staff were extremely helpful and very nice. Food was great.
Very good for a 3* hotel.
Very helpful and kind staff, nice spread of food for breakfast.
Great City Centre Hotel
Hotel is in a convenient location between the old town and the Jewish quarter. Excellent value for money - lovely, very clean room and fabulous breakfast buffet. Staff very very friendly and helpful.
a pleasant well kept hotel close to the city centre. breakfast choice a bit limited but good value for money
Quiet room, close to shops and public transport
Spotless clean hotel in good location 15 minutes walking distance to market square and convenient to trams and buses. Staff were always helpful and friendly and breakfast and evening meal in hotel restaurant excellent.
Nice friendly hotel
We had a room on the ground floor lovely and warm and spacious, the beds are two singles placed together with your own bedding had a good night's sleep. The bathroom had shower gell on the wall in a dispenser by the sink and in the shower. We asked for tea and coffee in the room and they sent it to us without any milk had to ask for that also next day had to ask for coffee. The breakfast had a good choice, we asked for breakfast bag when we went early one morning to Austwitz it was waiting for us in reception. It is a good 10 mins walk to the square and there are no bars or shops near the hotel, this wouldn't put us off staying hear again nice staff quite location they do have a bar and restaurant open till 10 although that time can vary.
Amazing value.Don't hesitate--Book It.
Booked this hotel after reading Hotels.com reviews and were not disappointed. From the outside and from the slightly tucked away location, we were not expecting too much, but we were pleasantly surprised at just what a great experience the whole place was. The room was bright and cosy, the en suite superb, ( nice to have a bidet) but the highlight was the included (free) breakfast which was better than most 4 or 5 star hotels we have stayed in. Highly recommended. They also booked our trips to both Auschwitz and the Salt Mine. Thank you for a great three day stay.
Room size was good, but the hotel itself was very dark.. I realize that they were conserving energy but the decor did not help to brighten the halls or public sitting areas. The breakfasts were very good .. huge variety. Front desk staff were very helpful.
Location
Nothing bad about about the hotel, but nothing good either, would not stop here again mainly due to location being on a isolated back street 10 minutes walk from the main square.
Hotel Batory
Clean, comfortable room. Really hot shower water. Staff were helpful, friendly and very efficient. Complimentary breakfast was delicious. Great place to stay.
Centrally located
Comfortable room with all normal facilities with good buffet breakfast
Great value, traditional and homely style hotel
We'll run, very clean and warm and comfortable. Excellent breakfast offering and good staff. The area is quite even though a hospital is nearby. Quite a residential area about 15 minute walk to the shopping area/ Jewish quarter/ old town.
NIce, quiet and convenient hotel close to downtown
A nice, family-run hotel close to the center of Krakow. There is a short, safe and nice walk from the hotel to the main square. The hotel offers a nice breakfast, and in the evenings there is a restaurant and a bar. There is parking available just next to the hotel, but the parking lot will hold some 12 cars only. The hotel staff is very helpful to assist when parking. Would seriously recommend the hotel.
Very clean and room spacious
Convenient location about 10 minute walk from Main Square
Nice
Nice people, good fooD, but vet limited parking opportunity.
Nice hotel, great base.
An excellent base for the many areas of Kraków. Breakfast was good, did not eat in the evening at the hotel since there were many lovely restaurants in town. Could have done with air conditioning in our room, it was very hot.
Very comfortable rooms and a graet breakfast all the staff helpful and friendly service
perfectly placed hotel to do all the stuff in town
lovely hotel, excellent breakfast and helpful staff. Very well placed to walk everywhere to see the sites.
Beautiful and stylish hotel
What an amazing hotel, don't know why it only has 3 starts. Everything about this place was perfect, location, rooms, bathroom, customer service. I will definitely stay there again and I recommend this place to everybody!
short break
Great hotel in a good location about 10mins walk from the old town centre and the castle, will return on our next visit to Krakow
A highly recommended hotel in which to stay!!
This boutique hotel was excellent. The room had elegant décor and was more of a suite than a hotel room. The neighbourhood was quiet and within an easy 10 minute walk to the main tourist square, or Wawell Castle or the old Jewish quarter. We had absolutely no issue with the location, or the hotel. Even the dinner menu was excellent (home made) and very well priced. The staff were most helpful and had perfect language skills (certainly good English was widely spoken).
Excellent service in a great family hotel
We stayed at this hotel for three days in early May and enjoyed an excellent stay. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival by friendly English speaking staff and the service throughout our stay could not have been better. The lovely receptionist provided us with a city map, booked tour tickets for us, arranged transfer to the airport and provided all services with a smile. We dined in the restaurant two nights, enjoyed the Polish cuisine and again had excellent service in spite of the fact that the restaurant was packed one night. A table had been reserved for us and the waitress smilingly served us promptly. Breakfast was served in the spacious restaurant with a good choice of hot and cold dishes, breads, and fresh vegetables. Here, too, we were greeted with a smile. We had a very spacious suite with comfortable bed, a nice sitting area with desk, leather sofa and large windows. A large bathroom with a good shower and plenty of hot water complete the unit. The Wifi was a bit slow at times but it wasn't an issue for us. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the main square and castle area. We walked to Kazimierz as well and that was about 25 minutes.
Dziękuję za wszystko!
Best staff ever! Najlepszy personel na świecie!
A nice friendly small hotel
We went for a 3 night break and thought Hotel Batory was excellent value for money. We had a triple room as our adult son came with us and the room was very pleasant - not huge but fine for our needs. The shower was huge and beautifully clean. Breakfast was excellent - buffet style, plenty of variety and always stocked up. It was a 15 minute Ali to the centre of town, where we eat out in the evenings. Only downside was that it was opposite a hospital so we did hear the sirens of the ambulances but not in the middle of the night. Overall an excellent hotel for what we wanted - we would return. The staff were friendly, helpful and spoke English.
Very nice and comfort hotel, close to historic city centre.
Lovely Cosy Hotel
The hotel was a nice distance from the main market square. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating, offering services outside of those expected. The room was very nicely decorated, and exceptionally clean. Only compliments for the hotel and staff.
Well the staff was helpful to correct condition of staying in this rather grabby location.
Very friendly and helpful staff!
terrific location, felt like a local. post box and ATM right at front door
Functional hotel 15 minutes from Krakow centre
Functional hotel with own car park and free wi-fi. 15 minutes walk to the old town. Room was comfortable. Sleep comfort was ok, we had 3 single beds. Room was on the ground floor so we were disturbed some nights by passing traffic/revellers. There was a good range of offerings at breakfast, we ate out at night so didn't use the restaurant. Wi-fi access was good and we always had a space available to park our hire car.
Recommended hotel.
We had a comfortable stay in Hotel Batory. The room was mid size, bathroom small.. However both were very neat & clean. we had no fan or air conditioning in our room. However as the weather was good we had no complaints. But our friends rooms did have fan & AC (which was usable by paying extra per night) . The breakfast was a good mix of hot & cold variety & they had a nice coffee machine. Parking was secure & free but limited and was available on a first come first serve basis. We arrived early & were therefore lucky to get a spot. Lastly it is a 15 minute walk into the center but taxis are easily available by a call from the hotel. All in all, a very good hotel to stay at
nice
I was happy.
Krakow 2015
This is a very nice hotel - very good service - love the breakfast buffet - very friendly staff and helpful. Will recommend to friends and family - and will again stay here for future visit to Krakow!
Good value for the money in Krakow
It's a 3* family hotel, 10/15' on foot to the main attractions of the superb Krakow. The parking it's free, for 8/10 cars; we had no problem parking there, every day. The staff it's ok, the rooms are nice and quiet. A BIG MINUS: no mini bar and no air conditioning. However, we had a good sleep and in the morning we enjoyed a variate polish/european breakfast in the lovely hotel's restaurant, in the basement. Should we return to Krakow, we would stay again in this hotel.
Friendly and clean
Very nice hotel, room was always clean and safe. Dining was great, lovely breakfast. Free car parking great too. Small car park, but I always managed to get a space so no problem. 10 minute walk from old town.
the hotel was of good standard but the hotel staff were not very friendly and also our bathroom stunk . The tv only had one english channel which was bbc news which made our time spent in the room very boring. apart from this the rooms were nice and were clean but i have to say we would not stay again.
2015 'vacation.'
A family run hotel. All was as good as it gets!
Great location. Walking distance from the square. Very helpful English speaking staff. A bit noisy, beside hospital.
May 2015 stay in Krakow.
We were traveling with another couple on a 15 day, 5 country road trip through middle Europe. This was my 4th visit to Krakow and first time in the hotel. Our biggest issue was not with the Hotel, but with the GPS guidance system that seemed unable to get the final location the Hotel. We knew we were within a couple of kilometers of the hotel but it took a bit of driving around and asking the locals to finally make it through the front door. Good parking lot, within easy walking distance of old town, great breakfast, comfortable beds, helpful staff. I would definitely stay again now that I know how to find the hotel without GPS.
Great for touring Kraków.
Just spent four nights at the Hotel Batory in Kraków as one of a six person group. The hotel is situated in a quiet street about a ten minute walk from the City main square and the Jewish Quarter. It's facade is old fashioned and rather communist era looking, do not let this put you off. The staff are helpful and friendly, all of the people I dealt with spoke very acceptable English. Umbrellas were available for the rainy day, very useful. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Our rooms were comfortable and clean. Car parking was available for those needing it, at no cost I believe. I will stay there again if I revisit Kraków.
Good location. Close to old square. Breakfast is very good. Room is clean. Only complaint is the room key. Strange knob thingy I had to lug around. But would stay here again.
