Lovely hotel quite near the train station. Very nice staff and a great breakfast.
Good choice
Friendly and comfortable hotel, good location for sights in central Rome, good choice of restaurants close by. Staff very helpful.
Small hotel but clean. Staffs are very friendly and nice.
Very convenient to station, restaurants and reasonably priced. Room was comfortable and breakfast good.
The hotel is good value for money if you are going to have a short stay and dont want to spend too much. Hotel is very clean and has decent bathroom, beds etc. We didnt face any issues as such
The staff made this a great stay for our family of 4. Breakfast was great and we could sit in the lobby anytime and have a café. They truly were accommodating and i will stay here again.
A quaint, charming hotel in a building that is centuries old, convenient walking distance to the Colosseum area, train station, several churches of interest. The staff was friendly and helpful. Bathroom in our room and elevator were quite small but functional. Even though it is near the train station, we felt quite safe walking in this neighborhood. Not as crowded as the Centro.
Staff was very helpful and friendly
Great stuff and service
Situtation around homeless , very small bathroom with shower. Was told to pay extra for air conditioning when the website says the property has air.
Very lovely staff who made sure I was ok and well at all times. Really helped me when I needed it and always had a smile.
Staff are friendly and elevator available. 5 mins from the station and relatively safe compare to other side of the station. However, the air conditioning want cold. It merely work as a fan, we need to open the window at night.
Fair and clean typical 3 star rating hotel. If you don’t expect fancy you will find it perfect 👍
Good and friendly customer service. Comfortable room. Walking distance to train station and city centre.
It was clean and the room was spacious. The beds are very hard and not super comfortable but we were close to restaurants and the train station for our quick flight in the morning.
Nicely maintained old building very near Termini train station. The neighborhood was full of restaurants and liveliness. Some good sights nearby. Nice staff, nice room, good price.
Easy walk from Tramini station and we were able to walk to most notable areas. Staff was always friendly and helpful.
Nice Stay in Rome
This hotel has a great location very near the main train station in Rome. The staff members were especially helpful and kind. The breakfast was very good. The room was small but comfortable. We would certainly stay here again.
The property manager and the staff was amazing.
Would stay again
Great location, small bathroom but what you would expect for a hotel of this type at this location.
Great location close to Termini station. Friendly staff and clean room. Continental breakfast was pretty good too. Towels weren’t the greatest, they were more like a bed sheet than a bath towel. Other than that really enjoyable stay.
Average,
While the hotel is close to Terminal, its a very basic 2 star accommodation. The staff were friendly but looking to make money at every given chance. They wanted use to settle city taxes and coffee expenses in cash which leads me to question their intent. Every other place I stayed in Italy we paid by card. I hope the owners read this and probably investigate. The room is tight for 4 and property needs help renovating. Even the breakfast offered was very basic with the stale cereal selection.
Convenient and fairly quiet position.
Friendly and very helpful staff. Rooms are a little small but fine for a short stay.
very friendly service, but in need of an update
First thing - very friendly service at arrival and at breakfast - great start! Immediate impression is that the hotel has a tired 'Italianate' look about it - it desperately needs an update! The location is very convenient to Termini Station - only 5 minutes walk - but the area, especially at night, is a bit seedy. My single room was small, but it had a large comfortable bed, good pillows and a reasonably sized bathroom that was in good order. The room was clean and quiet but, again, it just needs an update. There is hanging space, a cupboard, but not much space to put a suitcase. Breakfast was good - fresh rolls, cheese, meats, cereal and freshly made coffee as requested. By European standards (I had just been travelling in 7 countries for 8 weeks) it was reasonable value. This is not a bad hotel at all, it has lots of good points, it just needs a good facelift!
A honor place to stay
It just a bit better than I expected. Very clean, friendly reception desk, and very secure. You cross a security door to access the room. I suggest choose it.
Excellent choice!
Outstanding! Comfortable, convenient, well-managed. The staff members were efficient and always helpful. Good breakfast. Nice bathroom. Good location. A good choice.
The staff was very nice and for the most part could communicate with us until the last day. Language barrier did cause a few issues but nothing extreme. On a whole I would give my stay a 4. The property is old, the room was old, but most of Rome is, and the bed was comfortable. Had a nice little restaurant right outside the door, two blocks from the train/metro station and fairly quiet street. Cons would be the towel situation. Not regular towels, the paper thin cloths instead, bathrooms are usually small, but with a bidet, barely room to move around, but again, kind of typical. Liked having a real lobby and 24/7 staff.
Convenient and close to the train station.
Really close to the train station. Giuseppe was very helpful. It was raining the night i arrived drenched. He took the initiative to offer me a cup of water to calm my nerves and check-in was speedy. He also took the time to explain the sights nearby. Overall, clear-cut but warm and friendly place.
family run hotel.
Stephanie and her family looked after my wife and I brilliantly during our stay from the 12th to 16th sept. 2016.We would like to say thank you very much for all the help and directions < including umbrella> during our stay. Again thank you very much and when we are back in Rome again you will be our first call.
An accidental find - even better second stay.
Stayed here twice within two weeks. First one by accident. A questionable B and B across the street "Hotel Bed in Roma" cancelled my reservation. After going there and finding no one, owner said "something wrong with your credit card." Watched the door - no one entered that night. Hotel Assisi was across the street so used Hotel.com app to book. Half-price discount. Room tiny. In bathroom, I had to put my feet in the shower to sit on the throne. Wrap-around shower door, hard to move around. Decent breakfast included. Had to sit in lobby for wifi. Room fine, but stairway and two-person lift bit rundown. Booked there again on return since two others I preferred had no rooms. Better room the second time. Best feature is location to train station. Stored my bags for free after check-out.
Wonderful hotel very convenient to Termini Station
We loved our recent stay at the Hotel Assisi in Rome. Located a very short walk from the train station, this hotel was quiet, modern, and reasonably priced. The staff was so polite and helpful and gave us wonderful advice about how to get around Rome, and saved us quite a bit of money by helping advise us on how to get to Florence by train. We cannot say enough about how lovely the staff was, even giving us a complete breakfast one morning when we were leaving before breakfast was being served. They provided us with great information on the best way to get to places within Rome -- which bus or subway or train to take. Ask them! They are so helpful! There were many wonderful restaurants within a very short walk of the hotel, and so much to do in the immediate area. Its proximity to Termini Station meant that accessing public transportation was a breeze. The rooms were clean, cool, and had televisions that broadcast in English and several other languages besides Italian. We highly recommend this hotel, and will stay there again without hesitation should our travels bring us back to Rome.
Nice hotel close termene roma station.
The room of hotel small but comfotable. The hotel have a welcome drink ( good test of coffee), nice staff.
Nice hotel ,close to Termini and descent restauran
I'm so lucky I chose this hotel.Small like all hotels around but very clean, smell fresh all the time Most of all ,the staff is excellent .Very warm people, caring and thoughtful. We left early, before breakfast and what a surprise 😀,a take away of food and drink.I felt safe throughout our stay Bravo to the staff.
Very close to leaning tower. Excellent if u need to walk down with ur family.
friendly staff good breakfast and good location
Very comfortable. Convenient location. Quiet neighbourhood. Very helpful, English-speaking staff. Good breakfast. Wi-fi connectivity was poor. Some problem with air-conditioning.
OK for a budget hotel close to the train station
We stayed only 1 night as we were looking for a low-cost hotel before flying out the next day. I have to admit I did not to a price to value comparison to other hotels in Rome, but the Assisi is on the edge of a sketchy part of town. We were there only a bit over 12 hours and was able to walk to some fun places nearby. The front staff were very friendly and helpful, wifi was free and good. Once again we did not price compare, so perhaps the price we spent was par to the value. For a budget hotel, I would recommend it for the friendly staff and location to sites nearby.
Jp UK
First trip to Rome so hoped for the best, am a regular hotels.com customer so the previous reviews helped, all in all couldn't fault it great position for the hop on hop off bus also the shuttle bus. Plenty of restaurants in a short walk hotel staff were very friendly & helpful The room was sufficient but the bathroom was small and Internet didn't work on the 4 th floor, but I didn't go to Rome to sit in a bathroom and for a city break it ticked all the box's would return here again.
Convenient location, close to the train station. Very helpful staff that made me feel very welcome.
Wouldn't recommend
The facilities are too old and they don't look very clean. The bathroom is incredibly small. The location and the staff were good but wouldn't stay there again
rugby weekend
stayed for 6 days staff great will do anything to help you rooms very clean bathrooms a bit on the small side but apart from that great little gem
Very good location for train station.
Just had a one-night stay and chose the hotel because of its proximity to the Termini for my morning link to Fuimicino. Couldn't be handier. Three minute walk to the station. Had planned to get the train but the Terravision bus was about to depart so I took that instead (€6 as opposed to the train fare of €17 if you're watching the cents!). Hotel itself is of the older style which adds to the character. Guy at reception was very helpful and I was checked in within minutes. The room and bathroom were spotless and modern. A safe and flat-screen TV were provided and bed was super comfortable. I had requested a quiet room in my booking so there wasn't a sound to disturb my sleep. Continental breakfast was more than adequate and was included in the rate. The hotel has not yet embraced key-card technology so the old system whereby one drops the key at reception is still in operation. No big deal as the reception was always staffed. If I was to mention one aspect of the hotel which prevents me from giving it a higher overall rating, it's the shabby state of the stairs. There's a two-person lift of the old style available which is fine but an overhaul of the staircase would really enhance this establishment. Would use the hotel again because of its location, staff and comfort.
Convenient location, nice staff
We stayed here over six nights, found the place clean and the staff friendly. It's small (by North American standards) but considering the rest of the city, I figure it's good.
Excellent nights stay
Staff were very helpful and offered to store our bags both before and after our stay.
Decent hotel, bang for the buck
Decent staff, decent place to live. Friendly housecleaning, overall would stay again.
Friendliest Hotel Staff Ever
The Hotel Assisi is a short walk from the train station and if you're taking the metro to sights around Rome the location can't be beat as the Termini metro station is located below the train station. The front desk staff at the Hotel Assisi were friendly and helpful. They greeted us by name each time we arrived or left the hotel, offered assistance in finding our way around the city and allowed us to store our bags after check-out and before our late afternoon train departure. The breakfast includes expertly hand brewed cappaciono or espresso and the rooms are air-conditioned. We had three rooms in the hotel and all parties were extremely satisfied and would recommend the Hotel. The only drawback was a very small shower but for the price this hotel is a very attractive value.
Close to Transit
Decent location, but very small room. It felt more like a hostel.
Good value
We chose this hotel due to its proximity to Termini station, which is two minutes walking distance. It is perfect if you need to stay overnight for a connecting flight. This is the best part about this hotel. We were also pleasantly surprised with the quality of the continental breakfast which included cold cuts, cheese, fresh pastries, excellent Italian coffee (espresso), fruits, cereal, yogurt, etc.. The rooms and hallways are small and tight but that is typical for an Italian hotel of this category. Nevertheless they were clean and no sign of neglect. Overall we were satisfied with our stay. It is a great value at 90 euro per night for three people including breakfast. I would stay here again and would recommend it.
Good location
Facility kind of tired but maintained as well as possible. Staff helpful with metro and bus advice.
Very close to Rome Termini station, staff were very welcoming. I had a single room which was quite 'cosy' but fine if you are out seeing the sights of Rome most of the day and not spending all day in your room. The TV had so many channels if that is important to you. Reasonably priced.
Basic hotel but with good benefits
The +++ 's are - it is close to the train & metro station - within 200 yards, which gives cheap city travel if required - and a good point to aim for if you get lost. The 2 Metro lines [ Red & Blue] provide travel in the city for 1 euro, and can use same ticket on any further journeys within 75 minutes of stamping the ticket for the journey - the purchase of tickets from the machines are simple & an English translation is easily given. If you can use the London underground [ or any other] - you will have not problems with Rome. The city can be walked - but beware of really busy traffic - and generally drivers do not stop for pedestrians on crossings - so be aware. The hotel staff are helpful and polite - provide a good basic continental breakfast. Our room [45] was clean, with a good room size & with air conditioning & ceiling fan. Down side was the size of the bathroom which had everything, shower, sink , toilet, bidet etc but was narrow & small. For example you could lean against the back wall - stretch your arm - and touch the opposite wall - !!! Look, nobody goes to Rome to stay in their hotel room all day. It offers basic comfort, with good staff to help, and is generally very clean and offers good value.
Near main station and benefits stops there
Hotel is 3 star, have not clue how it gets that, room smells mil drew, dewing of bathroom is so poor that water flows out from shower. Poorly designed room. Breakfast is hard to swallow. Neighborhood is not very nice. The good is the location, close to train station. But now I have been toRome once, will never live by the Termini station again. Many stops along the line will be just fine and convenient. Staff are polite.
Location, location, location
Staff in the reception are extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. Conveniently located 1 block away from Termini Masala Exit. Several restaurants around hotel and termini and we tried Nazarreno and Pastarito ( 1 block west of the station) and enjoyed great food and service. Buy your supplies at Despar supermarket nearby instead at Conad in the terminal basement with long lines. Staying in Hotel Assisi, we felt like at home. Quiet clean room, good breakfast and missing already our daily cappuccino. One downturn, no English current events/news channel.
"Great deal for what you pay"
I really liked it. Nothing fancy, but it was very close to the train statio. The staff was very friendly and helpful too. Breakfast was really good and the coffee amazing.
Majoittuisin toistekin.
Ottima anche la colazione buffet!
Rien a reprocher à cet établissement.
Terminin vieressä
Muutaman sadan metrin päässä Terminin asemalta sivukadulle varrella.
Ci tornerei
Esperienza positiva, personale cordiale e posizione strategica
Molto consigliato
Koselig lite hotell Nord for Termini. Hyggelig og personlig stab.
Niente male. Veloce da raggiungere, pulito. Ci ritorneremo senza dubbio
Ottima prima colazione. Per essere a Termini hotel silenzioso.

Great breakfast. Clean. Not fancy. Good bed.
