Fantastic base for a few nights in Krakow. Lovely modern hotel which is less than 10 minutes walk from the main square. Possibly the best breakfast I’ve had in a hotel with so much choice!

Great location clean and tidy

Excellent hotel, very nice and modern room, delicious breakfast. Our room was facing the railway but with the window closed it didn't realy bothered us. Only few minutes walk to the old city and the main railway station with the big shopping center.

The hotel seems to have been renovated and is in a prime location for the main square & restaurants. The train station is literally 5 mins walk away

Excellent hotel

Excellent hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a premium twin room. Beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. The room has all amenities - safe, fridge, tea and coffee. The room was a reasonable size but like most hotels with rooms around 18 square metres the space between the end of the beds and the desk is cramped. The room could be set up differently to prevent this by putting the desk on the wall next to the window. Bathroom on the smaller size but very serviceable. Location is good. Between the main square and the train station. Breakfast was exceptional and the breakfast staff were fabulous. Great variety of food and excellent coffee. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely comfy hotel - close to transport

Very comfortable hotel although our room was quite small. Good breakfast. Close to Kraków’s glorious Old Town and beautiful town square. Easy access to Central Station. Only down side was our room backed onto train line - trains were going all night and one night there was quite a bit of work going on on the lines. Despite that we had a lovely stay. Very good value.

Clean room. Good facilities. Shower gel, tea/coffee, sewing kit and water provided. Comfortable bed. Air conditioning. Walls very thin, could hear our neighbours conversation. Plenty of plug sockets. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice. Overall hotel very nice, clean and modern. Great location, 5 mins walk to shopping centre or town centre.

The location of the Ascot Premium is perfect for a visit to Krakow - not too close and not too far from the main square (10-minute walk, max). It is modern, bright, and clean with a lovely dining room. The breakfasts were very good, with lots of choices, and everything was refreshed quickly. The staff were friendly and helpful and available at all times. We were told that this was a popular hotel, and I can see why - it is perfect for a city break and I would definitely stay there if visiting Krakow again.

Very comfortable and quiet!! Excellent location. Wifi was good. My only comment is that the tea kettle didn’t have tea bags or coffee grains.

So lets start with the day I reached at the hotel. The hotel double charged me for the room, whereas I had already prepaid for the room before the travel date. The room does not meet up to the charges. Problems with the room: 1. The room was right next to railway tracks. Day and night the trains were running, which made it impossible to sleep at night. 2. The sink was clogged. The hotel staff had no clue how to repair it. After repetitive requests, finally they managed to make the repairs. 3. The bathroom, especially the bathing bathing area, was so small, that it was extremely difficult to bathe. If you want to turn on your side, rest assured you will fall out of the cabinet itself. 4. The food was quite miserable. For the price they are charging, one can at least expect some variety in the food served daily, especially for the vegetarian guests. Highly not recommended for people who want value for money.

A Good Base to Explore

A very cosy hotel very convenient for the old town square and 10 minutes from the railway station and shopping centre. The hotel arranged all our excursions and airport transfers. A good breakfast is available but slightly different to what Brits might be used to! A small bar at reception is a nice spot for a drink in the evening. All staff were kind and helpful. TV no use for English speakers except CNN which is useless. Be careful using zebra crossings as cars will stop but Trams don't !!!

Staff were perfect in every way Alexandra who worked the hotel bar was an angel nothing was a bother for her the staff laid on a breakfast for all of us 4 adults the morning we left as we would miss brekfast as we were leaving early that morning

Perfectly located hotel. Staff were wonderful and the breakfast was excellent. The room was tired and felt much like a dorm room. Adequate and clean , but small and minimally furnished...no fridge ( my husband takes medicine that needs refrigeration). The price and location, however, made up for the deficiencies.

We had a great trip. Staff in Hotel were extremely helpful in all regards. I'm just not sure school trips and couples are a good mix on the same floor

The trip was amazing hotel was great and very local for getting around staff at hotel were very helpfully tour of the camps brought everything to life what the poor people went through advising all visitors to go. Great location with reasonable prices

We were ten minutes walk from the train station and closer to old town. The breakfast buffet was very nice with lots of choices. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was small but clean and efficient. There is a small bar in the lobby that offers happy hour drinks. I loved Krakow

A very pleasant and conveniently located hotel.

We enjoyed our stay in the Hotel Ascot. The location is great, the staff are helpful and pleasant, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is excellent. The choice and quality of the food provided for breakfast was great. overall, the hotel is very good value. As we had to leave very early in the morning to get a flight home, lunch bags were provided for us to take to the airport. It was a pity that we couldn't take the yogurts with us due to baggage regulations but we enjoyed the other snacks provided.

Hotel Ascot was better than we expected. For a 3 star place and the price we were quite surprised. The room was clean and comfortable. There was air-con as it was very hot whilst we were in town. It is only a short walk away from old town where there are lots of restaurants. If I was to stay in Krakow again, I would definitely choose Hotel Ascot.

Convenience and quiet

The breakfasts were excellent, it was good to be able to have coffee/tea when I returned from sightseeing, the receptionist was extremely helpful. I found it was within walking distance of the Royal Castle, the historic centre and the Jewish district, and yet in a quiet street.

A gem of hotel

Hotel is in close walking distance to old town and square about 7 mins, spotless in cleanliness, very comfortable rooms and fantastic staff who will do all to help you. Our flight was cancelled due to adverse weather, staff provided us with room for extra night and helped sort out another flight home asap, we can't thank them enough. Thank you to Natalie on bar duty for recommendations on polish restaurants. Breakfast buffet was excellent, something for everyone, bacon, sausage, scrambled egg was the best. Overall a fantastic stay and would recommend this hotel, we will be back, Thank you to all at ascot hotel.

Nice hotel close to old town

Nice modern hotel that's close to the old town, and a 10 minute walk to the market square and a 5 minute walk to the shopping center, bus and railway stations. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful and there is s good buffet breakfast.

Cracking in Krakow

Beautiful hotel, this was my second stay at the Ascot and they did not dissapointed, perfectly located, only one problem....the hotel advertisers as a three star but it was more like a four star ! Well worth a visit

Ideal location

Stayed here six times over the last 5 years and the hotel and staff are very good. Close to the square, railway and shopping centre.

Good position to the the town.

Rooms facing the railway line very noisy. The hotel is hot and very noisy when you open the window. We had to use the air conditioning to cool the room down.

A great choice within minutes of both Krakow Glowny and the Old Town - highly recommended.

Ascot Hotel

The Ascot offers a good location, which is a ten minute walk to the train station or the old town market square. The room was comfortable and clean. The friendly staff provided excellent information and assistance. The breakfast was good and included some Polish foods.

Hotel near city centre

This hotel was clean and the reception staff were helpfull. A 10 minute walk took you into the main city square with all the bars & restaurants and tourist attractions. The only downside was that our room was at the back of the hotel, next to a noisy railway line.

Starting with our check in throughout our stay the service was excellent. Staff could not have been friendlier. The hotel exceeded our expectations and we would certainly use it again.

Nice hotel 5-10 min walk to main square

Hotel is nice would have preferred a seperate bar area as the bar was very small & located in the recepyion area but in saying that we spent most of our time out of the hotel as u do on city breaks

This hotel is right down in old town, easy to walk to many places or take a taxi for the further reaches at little cost. The breakfast was very extensive covering a variety of culinary diets. All the staff were amiable and reception was very helpful. We would stay there again.

Krakow sight seeing

The hotel is small with very friendly and helpful staff. Bar area very small but attended by nice staff. Not far from the center of town or the station and shopping mall. Breakfast and food good.

Good Location - once you find it

Someone I had met in a business setting lived near there, and we met up for the first time in 17 years. Unfortunately, I don't speak Polish and my friend didn't speak English. No problem, as the front desk person, Maria, translated our meeting for us! She was extremely helpful.

Not happy

The hotel was not what we expected. Rather disappointed in the actual room and the condition of it. Beds were not comfortable. Only stayed one night instead of two.

Great hotel for family

It was an amazing stay. Hotel was situated at close to old town and most of the sight seeing places located within 1 km radius. and clean. No noise at all. I spent 3 nights with my family and we did face any issue in the hotel. Staff was very helpful and courtesies. They packed breakfast early morning for us on request. Breakfast was more than enough for 2 people and tasty. overall it was a great stay. We would certainly prefer to stay in this hotel if we visit again.

Lovely Hotel on the edge of the Old Town ideal.

Location ideal for walking into the Old Town and down to the river. The Hotel is at the bottom of the street which leads to railway station and Krakow Galleries which is a huge shopping mall.

Lovely and helpful staff, amazing breakfast and comfortable and clean room with the extra plus of a lovely traditional Polish restaurant 2 minutes walk away. They have a great map of the town at reception to take away which was so helpful.

This hotel is close to the main square, very convenient and a lovely place to stay. The staff were lovely, really friendly and helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Good Value for Money

Lovely hotel, the hotel receptionist was very helpful and spoke very good English. Arrive around 10am however was able to get into room straight away. Size of the room was great, very modern and air conditioned. Breakfast was your typical Continental style, hot food was the scramble egg and bacon. All the relevant tours can be booked at reception. So all in all a great 3 day stay.

Great hotel, third time in Krakow stayed here twice good location central easy walk into main square. Would not hesitate to recommend. Lacking tea making facilities.
